AIR-CAP2602I Edit Config File - No Username/Password

I want to use an old Configuration File for my AIR-CAP2602i-K9 but it has a Password that is unknown, is there a way to remove the Username and Password portion of the Configuration File so that hopefully it would just keep either the current credentials or set to default.
Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Hi
Yes, you can remove that line if you want. Then it would be default Cisco/Cisco would be the default credential.
Anytime you can create a user & delete the default credential. Here is an example how I create a user called "admin" with password "Cisco123" while deleting the default user.
AAP1(config)#no username Cisco
AAP1(config)#username admin password 0 Cisco123
Also make sure you change enable password as well (by default Cisco)
AAP1(config)#enable secret xxxx

  • Using Bash script to edit config file

    This is a really simple question, but given that I'm just learning Bash scripting and having this solved now would be really illustrative for me, I would really thank some help here.
    I'm using uzbl, and running Tor+Polipo. So, as you will see below in the tail of the config file, there is a line to redirect the requests of uzbl through Polipo.
    # === Post-load misc commands ================================================
    sync_spawn_exec @scripts_dir/load_cookies.sh
    sync_spawn_exec @scripts_dir/load_cookies.sh @data_home/uzbl/session-cookies.txt
    # Set the "home" page.
    #set uri = https://duckduckgo.com
    # Local polipo proxy
    set proxy_url = http://127.0.0.1:8123
    # vim: set fdm=syntax:
    What I want to accomplish is to comment in/out that line with a key shortcut on Awesome. I've thought of doing 2 scripts to do so and using 2 differente key shortcuts, but I want to "toggle" the proxy redirection with only 1 shortcut. To do so, I suppose that the script should go something like:
    if
    tool 'set proxy_url = http://127.0.0.1:8123' config_file
    then
    tool '#set proxy_url = http://127.0.0.1:8123' config_file
    else
    if
    tool '#set proxy_url = http://127.0.0.1:8123' config_file
    then
    tool 'set proxy_url = http://127.0.0.1:8123' config_file
    fi
    fi
    I know little about sed, but I think is the tool for this job. The most intriging part to me is to ask sed to print the regular expression when it finds it in the config file, and use that as an input in the conditional statement.
    Well, this is a mess I have done here. Hope there is a simple answer to this.
    Thanks in advance.-

    You can do this with a single sed command:
    sed -i 's/^#set proxy_url/set proxy_url/;
    t end;
    s/^set proxy_url/#set proxy_url/;
    : end' config_file
    This edits the file in-place (-i) and first tries to replace the commented with the uncommented line. If that suceeds, sed jumps to the "end" label. If not, it tries to replace the uncommented with the commented line. Thus you don't have to include any logic about the current state: if the first substitution succeeds, the line was obviously commented, if not, it was uncommented, and the second substitution should succeed.
    Note that my knowledge of sed is very limited. There might be a simpler way to do this.
    EDIT: For the sake of example, here's how to do the same in bash using regular expressions. Note how this script needs to use a temporary file to simulate in-place editing, how it needs to process the file line by line manually, etc. All things that sed does out of the box...
    #!/bin/bash
    tmp=test.conf.tmp
    echo -n "" > "$tmp"
    while read line; do
    if [[ "$line" =~ ^#set\ proxy ]]; then
    echo "${line/\#/}" >> "$tmp"
    elif [[ "$line" =~ ^set\ proxy ]]; then
    echo "#$line" >> "$tmp"
    else
    echo "$line" >> "$tmp"
    fi
    done < test.conf
    mv test.conf.tmp test.conf
    To answer your original question, the line
    if [[ "$line" =~ ^#set\ proxy ]]; then
    reads: if the line begins with a "#", followed by "set proxy", then...

  • App for editing config files (like arch assistant but gtk)

    as the title says i need an app for editing the config files in arch like arch assistant but i dont like the qt3 interface

    Alternative app might possibly be arxin http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=15710 Don't know if it's as good as archassistant, I don't use either.
    I can't speak from experience but some have had success with making qt applications look like gtk with qgtkstyle http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=16964

  • Cannot start server after manually editing config files

    I tried to add a service to default .props, but any change causes the server to not start. If I edit an xml file, it complains about a missing tag; if its plain text, then it can't seem to set properties right. I don't even enter a carriage return.
    I use vi to edit the files. Is there anything else I can use??

    Sun Server 8.0 PE on Linux.
    I added the httpjms value to the imq.service.activelist property in imq default.properties:
    imq.service.activelist=jms,admin,httpjms
    And that causes the server to not start with this error in server.log
    MQ startup failed :[C4003]: Error occurred on connection creation [127.0.0.1:7676]. - cause: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused

  • Arch trashes config files in /etc?

    Hi everyone, I just installed Arch today in a virtual machine to get a feel for it (trying to get away from the grind of Gentoo), and ran into the first obstacle...
    I installed joe with "pacman -S joe", then I edited /etc/joe/joerc. That's when it occurred to me to check how Arch handles config file upgrades, so I just reinstalled joe with the same command, and to my amazement, all modifications from /etc/joe/joerc were gone and there was no backup in sight. Pacman simply overwrote the files in /etc/joe.
    I was perusing the Wiki while downloading the CD image and the information there suggested that Pacman would save a backup copy of the previous config file, instead of just blindly overwriting. So, am I doing anything wrong? Does it put the backups in some different directory? Or is this feature not yet implemented? I'm really stuck on this, any help would be really appreciated.
    If it helps, the CD version I downloaded is Archlinux-i686-2007.05-Duke-Linuxtag2007.current.iso, also during installation I selected only the "base" package set, and after installation I pointed the "current" repository in /etc/pacman.conf to the CD, so I could try out package management without waiting for packages to download.
    P.S. The forum registration form is a bit broken, when it checks if you are a bot by asking the name of the distribution, it refused the answer "Arch Linux" and called me a bot. I obviously got past it, but still, it should accept "Arch Linux" because that is the name on the main web page and in the titles of all sub pages.

    Oh, I see. You are right, the backup files section is empty, thanks.
    This presents few more questions:
    1) In your experience, are the packages in Arch generally sloppy like this when it comes to handling config files, or was this just bad luck to have a rare bug in my first ever installed Arch package?
    2) Isn't this kind of handling of config files fragile? It would really suck to be toiling all night over some complex config file, only to have your hard work blown away on next upgrade because the packager made a typo in the list of backup files.
    3) Would it be better to have a global option somewhere to specify whole directory trees as protected user-edited config files, instead of each package trying (and sometimes failing, obviously) to specify everything? Can you specify whole of /etc/* with the NoUpgrade option you mentioned, instead of each file one by one?

  • How to hide password in forms config file

    Hi
    Is there a way to hide the password in the forms config file?
    Regards,
    Néstor Boscán

    Hi,
    you cannot. For a future version we are condering password indirection, which is a feature of OC4J. However, until then the option to use is to implement Single Sign-On with Forms as this storeds username and password in OID

  • ORA-01017: invalid username/password; how to find out orapwd files 's pwd

    Hi, gurus,
    I have this error after I copied primary db orapwd files over to standby instance and tried to log in sys as sysdba :
    ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
    Is this means the sys password I provided is not the one generated as per orapwd utility?
    however I can log in to sys/password as sysdba if I set the oracle sid environemnt to that db.
    Anybody help here?
    Thanks.

    Hello;
    In that case you would have to change the SYS password at the Primary ( so you know it ) and then do the copy and rename again.
    Don't forget to stop apply on the standby and then shutdown and restart on the new password file. ( or you will have issues )

    Re: Transport service doesn't work with error  ORA-16191
    Best Regards
    mseberg
    Double check of my notes
    ORA-01017
    Change the sys password in the primary database using the alter system command, it updates the password file in the ORACLE_HOME of the primary database, it doesn't update password file in the standby database.
    In Oracle 10 you can create a password file. In Oracle 11 you must move a new copy to the standby.

  • RDS 2012 - Embed username/password in RDP file

    Hi all,
    I have tested editing an RDP file internally and embedding a username/password(hashed) in it so that it automatically logs on.
    This works fine from a PC on the network.
    I've tried to do the same from a PC connecting in through an RDS Gateway but it prompts for a password when launching the RDP file. Is it possible to embed the username/password(hashed) when connecting via a gateway?
    Thanks,
    Paul.

    Hi Paul,
    No, the credentials in the rdp file cannot be used for RD Gateway.

  • OMBPlus: masking usernames / passwords in log files with ********?

    Hi all,
    Subjects says it: how to hide username and password in OMBPlus logs.
    Any ideas...?
    Br: Ykspisto

    I don't use default OMB+ logging for this reason, plus I often want more robust logging. I also built a wrapper for executing OMB+ statements to simplify my exception handling in my main scripts. By catching both the return string from a statement as well as the exception strings, I keep full control over what gets logged.

Most of the referenced variables are held in a config script that we use to define our current working environment, which I am not attaching as the names are pretty descriptive I think.

  • Powershell Copy-file: Username & Password

    I am very new to powershell (just a couple days). I'm sure its very simple, but cannot find any articles with a clear description.I am working on a script to push one file to multiple PC's listed in a text file. All the machines have the same admin account and password. How can I incorporate the login into the script so it doesn't prompt each time? Here is what I have so far.Thanks in advance for any help!Powershell$computers = Read-Host "Enter Location of .txt File"$source = Read-Host "Enter File Source"$dest = Read-Host "Enter File Destination"Get-Content $Computers | foreach {Copy-Item $Source -Destination \\$_\c$\$Destination}

    mensa(config)# ip ftp username

    mensa(config)# ip ?

    name-server Specify nameserver address
    route Configure static routing

    I can ftp the file no problem using anonymous username/password when prompted, I'm just trying to pass that info in without being prompted.

    If the files have a permissions password, you need to know it, and remove security, before you can edit the files. That is correct.

  • Getting Error: Config file does not have IDStore WLS Administrator Username

    I am configuring OIM/OAM in HA mode following the EDG:
    - Enterprise Deployment Guide for Oracle Identity Management
    - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.5)
    I am at step
    - 10.4.5 Creating Users and Groups for Oracle WebLogic Server
    I am executing this command:
    - idmConfigTool.sh -prepareIDStore mode=WLS input_file=wls.props
    Where wls.props has these values:
    IDSTORE_HOST: admin.mycompany.com
    IDSTORE_PORT: 389
    IDSTORE_BINDDN: cn=orcladmin
    IDSTORE_USERNAMEATTRIBUTE: cn
    IDSTORE_LOGINATTRIBUTE: uid
    IDSTORE_USERSEARCHBASE: cn=Users,dc=mycompany,dc=com
    IDSTORE_GROUPSEARCHBASE: cn=Groups,dc=mycompany,dc=com
    IDSTORE_SEARCHBASE: dc=lispa,dc=local
    POLICYSTORE_SHARES_IDSTORE: true
    and I am getting this error:
    Config file does not have IDStore WLS Administrator Username
    Any idea why ?

    I have added to the property files:
    IDSTORE_SYSTEMIDBASE : cn=systemids,dc=mycompany,dc=com
    But its not solving the issue.
    Here is the log:

  • Is it possible to diable the automatic update feature and prevent it being re-enabled from the preferences dialog by editing a config file?

    Id like to do a custom version of FF for our machines (Linux based) which prevents the auto update mechanism working and prevents the user re-enabling it. Any updates would be done by the Linux .deb package management system.
    Is there a way to do with by editing the config files of the default binary version or do I need to build my own from source?

    You can lock the related pref(s).
    lockPref("app.update.auto", false);
    lockPref("app.update.enabled", false);

    hi,
    Try a SQL*Net trace on the client (your PC) for the connection that works and the one that does not. Compare to see what is different.
    Client Side Tracing:
    Your SQLNET.ORA file should contain the following lines to produce a client side trace file:
    trace_level_client = 10
    trace_unique_client = on
    trace_file_client = sqlnet.trc

  • Unable to send photos because server doesn't recognize username/password combo

    Have a MacBook Air using iPhoto 9.5.1 and operating system OS X 10.9.3.
    I have tried to share photos with email using my Yahoo account.  I receive the following message whenever I attempt to send a photo "username/password not recognized by email server."
    I have gone into my accounts numerous times in System preferences.  My username/password combo is recognized there.  I have also changed my password on Yahoo and in my accounts.  But I still receive the above message.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Have a current backup before proceeding here.  Time Machine or otherwise.
    If no outbound messages are sent...  There are two different server definitions and two different places where you need a user and a password, the first and most obvious setting within mail is for receiving mail; the POP or IMAP setting.  Everybody gets that one.   To get to the credentials and the password used to send mail messages (the one that folks don't find as easily), Mail > Preferences > Accounts > select the account > switch the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) to "Edit SMTP Server List", then find the Yahoo SMTP server entry, then fix the password there.
    Here's the Apple mail troubleshooting information.
    If that fails, remove the entry and re-add it.
    If smaller messages are sent correctly and larger messages are blocked, Yahoo may be restricting the size of the message(s) being sent.  Try smaller messages as a test, or use a file sharing service to transfer the images, or maybe wait for the OS X Yosemite Mail Drop feature.
    PS and FWIW, this message was originally posted in the OS X Server forum, and you're not running OS X Server here — OS X Server includes various network services, including a mail server — a mail server is what Yahoo is running here, but OS X Server allows folks to configure and run a mail server locally on a Mac Mini or some other Mac configured as a server.  Your MacBook Air would then connect into that server, in addition to or in place of the Yahoo server.  Like most other mail servers, the mail server within OS X Server can be configured to block larger messages, too.
