Aironet 2602 - Operation when WLC fails?

Hi,
we are using a WLC2504 with several Aironet 2602 Access Points.
So far it is working fine but when I turn off the WLC all SSIDs disappear after some seconds as they couldn't find the controller anymore.
Is it somehow possible to configure the Access Points for some "Failsafe"-Mode so that operation is still possible in the case of a controller failure?

Well the LWAPs are dumb devices. We do not do any configuration on the AP. We configure the WLC and APs broadcast the ssids which are configured on the WLC. That is the reason why all the ssids disappear when you turn off the WLC.
We have the option of AP-SSO which is also called HA-SKU.
All the APs on the Active WLC will also be seen on the Secondary WLC via the CAPWAP mirror image.
It is really a good option but I guess it is not supported on the 2504 WLC. it is supported on 5508 WLCs.

So then how do I configure it to do that???
(And just to make it super-clear, I'm NOT using Storage Spaces, so there is no redundancy via mirroring/parity, and I'm not expecting any file repair - just detection of corruption. It's just a basic volume formatted with ReFS and
with integrity streams enabled, via format E: /fs:ReFS /i:enabled
For those who want more details, here's the situation:
I try to perform a read operation on a file with corrupted data (purposely done for testing using a low-level disk editor), I get a the following error message:
And an event ID 133 from ReFSv1 gets logged in the System log:
Clicking "Try Again" just brings up the same message, and clicking "Skip" skips the operation entirely.
This is indeed the correct default behaviour.
What I want instead is for the read operation to be allowed to complete, with corrupt data and all, and ONLY for the event to be logged. And according to William Stanek, this is supposed to be configurable somewhere - and after hours of searching, I haven't
been able to find anything.

We can use PowerShell command Set-FileIntegrity to configure this. The specific parameter for controlling this behavior is
-Enforce <Boolean>which indicates whether to enable blocking access to a file if integrity streams do not match the data.

Error when Share to File "The share operation 'File' has failed. Cannot create file."

Upgraded to Mavericks and the new iMovie. Imported a video from iPhone 5 to edit, and then tried to Share File.
Error every time, it says that "The share operation 'File' has failed. Cannot create file." It does not give any error number that would help figuring out the problem.
Late 2011 MacBookPro with 8 GB and over 150 GB free on HD.
Imported several other videos from various sources, and always the same result when trying to Share to File.
Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem with a 2012 Macbook Pro 15" Retina; iMovie version 10.0.3. I'm not sure why either. It was working fine until one day it quit exporting to file at all.

How do I deactivate online (needed when computer fails)?

Problem: When a computer fails with Adobe products installed, it is always a problem to do deactivation of license keys.
When I login to my account at adobe.com, I can see my licenses. I would have expected that I could manage my activations there. How can we get Adobe to provide license key activation management online? When computers fail, right now, there is no way to re-install Adobe software on the replacement computers because Adobe think I've used up my total activations.
Without an solution within my adobe.com account, I always wind up spending HOURS talking with Adobe people. It is a very frustrating process. Please see below the 1 hour communication I had today that got me nowhere.

You simply call support by phone and have them reset activations. At this point there is no way to manage that yourself.

Hi all,
Now we are able to pass all the required input data to the update operation
and no errors exist for this operation. But when we execute the update operation, the PO is not getting updated at SAP. But same operation
is working fine from DUET-ABAP. As a test, we executed this operation from DUET ABAP front and generated the log (/iwfnd/view_log) log
has been generated. The same operation when we executed from Sharepoint and when we looked into 14-hive logs, nothing has got generated
for update operation.
Note: when executed this update operation from SharePoint, in /iwfnd/view_log, no logs generated for updated operation.
Please suggest me a way so that I can sort out this issue.

Share Operation DVD Has Failed

I have a project on Final Cut Pro X that is close to 90 minutes long. It consists of several 5 minute video clips. When I try to share the project to DVD it gets about 33% done when I get this error -
The share operation "DVD" has failed.
The operation couldn't be completed.

I am running
Final Cut Pro X (10.1.4)
OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

I've been asked to find out what happens if a WLC fails?
Do clients stay connected but can't connect new clients? Does everyone get kicked off?
Does the same happen with the Virtual WLC as does with a hardware box? Should I really have two WLC's ?

Depends. If you don't have FlexConnect AND you don't have any redundant WLC, then clients get booted off.
Let say you don't have a redundant WLC but you have FlexConnect. If the WLC fails then the OLD client will stay connected. Unless you have a local authentication server at each site, then NO NEW clients will be able to authenticate. Another thing, when the WLC fails, the AP must NOT be reloaded. If it does, then no clients, old and new, will be able to join the wireless network
Let's say you don't have FlexConnect. When the primary WLC fails, the AP will join the secondary WLC. During the "move" from Primary to Seconday, the clients will loose connection.

Fate of records when lock_vec() fails

If the lock_vec() fails to lock one record, when trying to lock a set of records, then will it unlock all the so far locked records? Or does the caller need to do it?

"If any of the requested locks cannot be acquired, or any of the locks to be released cannot be released, the operations before the failing operation are guaranteed to have completed successfully, and DB_ENV->lock_vec returns a non-zero value. In addition, if elistp is not NULL, it is set to point to the DB_LOCKREQ entry that was being processed when the error occurred."
So if there is a failure, elistp should point to the DB_LOCKREQ entry
being processed when the error occurred. You would need to retry your
operation from that point as up to that point would have been successful.

Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Right after i click ok i then get this error: "Itunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall Itunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)." I tried to uninstall Itunes and then reinstall the 11.03 version but that didnt work either. I want to know if i copy all of the music in my itunes folder to an external without consolidating can i still transfer all my itunes music from my current windows xp pc to a brand new one and have my current itunes library in my new pc? Basically i just want to know 3 things: What exactly does consolidating the itunes library do? Can i copy, paste, and transfer my itunes library to an external and from there to a new pc? Will i be able to transfer my itunes library without consolidating the files?

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). My iphone 5 won't call when i fail to connect to the internet via 3g.
At work i dont have wifi i have 3g, if i launch say the sky go app,or the iplayer, sometimes they work and everything is fine...sometimes they wont load as 3g for whatever reason cant get a connection at that particular time........ if i then try and make a call the call will fail. I've experimented 25 + times and this is definately the cause.
(note: when the 3g connection does work, the phone has absolutely no problem calling people)
Anyone had this problem?

Are you sure that the carrier's signal is strong where you are having this problem? Certain building structures and locations have poor cellular signal strength and this often results in the "No Service" indication. Are other users able to get service in the same locations where you have problems?

Why don't you reformat the drive in Disk Utility or Terminal. Screw that rubbish backup software on the seagate drive.

We have So many jobs running in our HR system and BW systems but with no proper Monitoring Configuration. We have Solution manager 7.0 with EHP latest version with CCMS configured. How to setup the email in Solution Manager using CCMS when Job failed?
Is there any standard way of doing it from HR system and BW system other than using solution manager? so that we can use it for Temporary solution.

BDD 2007 -- ZTI -- OSD error "The Operating System Installation Failed Unspecified Error (80004005)

Wonder if anyone can advise me on a BDD 2007 OS deployment issue? (Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, I couldn't see a forum for BDD 2007.)
First of all, this BDD 2007 server and the OSD config was not done by me. For info, it is part of a SMS 2003 infrastructure.
I am trying to get the XP Pro build process working. I am led to believe the config has been completed.
Unfortunately, after booting the pc from the nic, I get an error. This is the order:
- the 'Initializing Windows PE' splash appears for perhaps 15 seconds
- very briefly, the text changes to 'Initializing Network'
- for a second or two only 'Initializing Windows PE' appears again
- then this error message appears:
"SMS Operating System Deployment - The Operating System Installation failed. Please contact your system administrator for assistance. Unspecified Error (80004005)"
I've spent some time looking into this error (80004005) and from what I can gather it possibly means 'access denied'.
I'm assuming after Windows PE loads the first Task Sequence begins, and if this possibly is where the issue lies?
One thing I cannot understand - the first Task Sequence (Initialization) has this command line (as do most, with different .wsf file):
cscript.exe "%SCRIPTROOT%\ZTIGather.wsf" /localonly
However, I cannot access %SCRIPTROOT% at all, Windows says it can't find it. I can run other variables such as %USERPROFILE%, %SYSTEMROOT%, etc, but cannot open %SCRIPTROOT%.
Is it simply the case that I should create a new system variable (that has not been created by whoever built the server)?
