AJAX Spry not working on a page

I recently upgraded to CS3 from MX and bought the Adobe
Training Source Book by Bardzell and Flynn. No problems until
chapter 9. I have attached XML data sets, Get Schema and built Spry
Tables literally dozens of times by modifying or starting
completely from scratch over the last few days with no luck at all.
I am able to preview the data in the Spry XML Data Set dialog
window, so it seems to be able to correctly read it, however, when
saved, uploaded to live server and viewed in browser, the page
contains only the HTML heading and the footer and no dynamic tables
or data whatsover.
I do not want to continue not understanding what is not
working properly and why. Any suggestions?

I am on Vista Ultimate and use IE, Opera, Maxthon and Firefox
browsers and have tested on all four.
No data shows up in DW design window. Just a small table
representing:

I am unsure about the xpath.js and SpryData.js files as I had
deleted the initial ones that were created on my first try in an
attempt to recreate them but upon subsequent attempts, the dialog
window that informs that the files were created did not appear
again upon recreation. I manually added them from the CD and
uploaded them. Can I force a recreation of these files? Can I test
these files to ensure that they are working properly? My remote
server is not as current as it could be: PHP 4.3.11, MySQL 3.23 on
Apache Tomcat 4, Linux ES 2.1 - Could that be an issue for any of
this?

I have created a class which contains public static method decorated with WebMethod and SciptMethod attributes

Now I changed the <%Page ..> Tag of the PageLayout to inherit from the above class.
There is a ScriptManager in the master page with EnablePageMethods = true
I can see the Javascript methods are generated for HelloWorld(..) however the return result is "The Server Method HelloWorld failed." Error code is 500
However the exact same code when I use with a application page (_layouts) and change the Page tag to inherit from the same base class above - it works OK.
Both of them Page Layout and Application Page use the same master page - but one works and other does not.
Additional Information:
a) Am using Jquery and JqueryUI in the master page.
b) Site use Publishing Template
c) Variation is enabled on site
d) Site has both Anonymous and Windows NT authentication
The method Path for Application page shows as
/_layouts/test.aspx/HelloWorld
and for the page created using the Page layout is:
/en-us/Company/Pages/Default.aspx/HelloWorld.
Could anyone please advise what could be wrong where it does not work with Publishing Pages?
Would please appreciate ideas / thoughts.

Are you sure that you are getting HTTP 500 error ?. Usually HTTP 500 error denotes service unavailable at the server side or at the server end point. What is the exact fiddler trace you are getting ?
If it is still HTTP 500, then one of the referenced components in the page layouts conflicts the ajax page methods call. Please let me know your findings

just installed safari 5. i like the new address feature where we can type the page's title instead of the url. anyway, its a feature that firefox already had quite sometime.
anyway, most pages with ajax is not working, especially those with layers. for example, the template monster search form, the options is not displaying. works fine in firefox though.

Push notifications, I believe, is only for iOS.

UIComponent broadCastAction is not working in mobile page

We are using the broadCastAction in one of our critical flows to submit to an action in Managed bean but we are facing issue in our ADF fusion web app for mobile . When we create a page with mobile render option selected the broadCastAction is not getting triggered . broadCastAction shows null in the getter of BroadCastAction.

UIComponent braodCastAction is from javax.faces.component.UIComponent . It is used to invoke action of a UI component through Java code
if we have button like

ScriptLink tag not working for application page sharepoint 2010

<ScriptLink> tag not working for application page sharepoint 2010 for including javascript in application page, it appends either 1033 or _layout to path specified for javascript.But javascripts are located in custom document library on site and not
in _layouts folder.
Please help and explain in details as I tried lot on this.

Spry not working properly in IE (again !)

Hello everybody,
I have put multiple vertical spry menu bars on my page, they are working as expected on all other major browsers except IE :S ....as usual. When you go to the page on any other browser you shall see that the sub menus overlap the other spry menus, but when you go through IE they don't overlap instead the sub menus come under the other spry menus. I've tried many a things to resolve the situation here but all have deemed fruitless :|

Ajax tabs not working when asp dropdown list in the tab

I am using asp.net 3.5 framework. My page has modelpopup in that ajax tab controls used. one of the tab has asp:dropdownlist, this dropdown list is binding data from dataset. the tab which has dropdown lists is not working. it is working fine in IE9.0.

changed to enableEventValidation="false", then it is working fine.

Spry not working

I'm trying to get this to work and am having some difficulty.
I've got ax XML file of about 900 dog shows that I'm trying
to display the following information. The Sponsoring club, the
date, and the state in which the show is taking place. I'd like to
be able to sort alphabetically by club, by state and sort by date.
The basic Spry table seems to be the logical place to start. I've
managed to get this to work on my local machine. File references in
the code however are of the following format

Ideally I'd like to "page thru" this data displaying 15
shows at a time with details about each show in a column to the
right. I've managed to get a detail region working (again locally)
but have not been able to understand how to do the paging. I've
looked at the examples from the PagedView and the Paging examples
with no luck

its because your SpryData.js is empty, there is no data in
the file, i suggest reuploading the file and i should work

Accordion panel spry not working...

Can someone please look at this site and see what I am doing wrong?
My accordion is not working on the "heaven" page, but does work on the "about" page. ???

This link, with the same accordion (on the same site) works fine!
I am not sure if it is a file location problem or what.
My SpryAssets folder is inside the root folder.
BTW, it works fine on my local machine, just not when i upload it.

Have you got your site management set up?
Also, checking your page in the validator shows a few stray closing tags. </p> in the good page and a </div> in the bad page. I'm not sure, but a missed matched <div> tag might cause difficulties.

SharePoint 2013 "Help Menu" not working (Sorry, the page you're looking for can't be found)

The Built in SharePoint 2013 Help Menu (?) on our Enterprise Farm for both the sites and Central
Admin does not work.
On Central Admin help the error comes back as: "Sorry, the page you're looking for can't be found".
The site collections Help menu gets the error :
"Unfortunately, help seems to be broken...
There aren't any help collections in the current language for the site you're using."
We have installed on all servers in the farm:

HTML multipart form is not working in jsp page

the problem is not because of java code insdie jsp page
I have removed all things but the form and it is still not working
