Alarm and Call Received Access Problem

When the phone is off and I receive a call, the slide to answer button will not work. The same is true when the phone is off and the alarm rings, the slide to turn off will not work.

Dell   Windows XP

Turn the phone OFF (don't just put it to sleep, actually turn it OFF but holding the power/sleep button until it turns off) and then turn it back on after a minute. Slider should begin working again.
I think it's important for people to remember that this is a computer. It needs to be turned OFF every once in awhile (restarted) - not just put to sleep.

  • ORB JNDI and Initializing Bean Access problem

    Hello,
    I am using JBuilder 7 with Mobileset 3 and Borland Enterprise Server 5.0.2.
    I am trying to run one of the sample applications that came with mobileset, I am doing the following:
    I am firstly starting the Server Side application:
    1. Start the Enterprise Server Management Agent (this starts the OSAgent on 14000)
    2. Run the BookStoreServer (this initialises the BookStoreServlet container, starts the web server and partition server)
    If at this point I continue to follow the instructions for the sample and start the client, the client throws an EOFException when it first tries to read a stream that the server is supposed to have sent back.
    Because this happens I started to look at the code on the server in detail and realised that there was a BookSearchClient which acts as a bridge for the BookStoreServlet and BookSearch session bean but this wasn't started (Which I think explains why the clients throws the EOFException).
    When I try and start the BookSearchClient in the server application I was first getting org.omg.CORBA.OBJECT_NOT_EXIST but now (and I don't know why) I am receiving the following:
    -- Initializing bean access.

    I have been stuck on this for days now and am really stuck, if anyone can help that'll be excellent.

    hi John,
    I have been stuck on this problem for 2 weeks. My servlet is tryng to lookup the home class to the session bean and crashes at runtime.
    =com.sun.jndi.cosnaming.CNCtx@d35f5f--
    What ejb-jar*.xml (if any) did you set to allow the JNDI lookup of the session bean?
    I am very keen to know!
    many thanks in advance

  • System Exec and Call Library Function problems

    I have working c code. The code connects to a server; makes a request; and gets a return.  It works from the command line. In LV there are problems.  If I try running it using the System Exec vi, I get the response I expect but not until the connection with the server is broken. This is unacceptible and not the way it works from the command line.
    If I try to use the Call Library Function Node, the response is even stranger.  I just call the routine that is supposed to connect to the server. It fails.
    I attached the vi's. As you will see, they are very simple.

  • Nokia 7230 alarm and call log

    Hi,
    from 3 days the alarm of my 7230 is not working and the call log is not updated from two months.
    What can I do?

    For the alarm I guess only 1 alarm can be set a time but instead U can use the calender and make a reminder
    Then, the reminder U can set an alarm for each one of them...
    More reminders more alarms...
    About the call duration I'm wondering as well...

  • Weird and bizarre domain access problem - is there a fix?

    Since yesterday I can't access www.dvxuser.com although friends, my ISP support desk and domain testing utilities on the web say it's up and runnning fine. Every other site I need or try is working fine. I've rebooted routers, and iMac a couple of times but the problem remains.
    Is it possible that I've accidentally done something locally that will block just an individual site? I certainly didn't deliberately do it, or attempt to block any site.
    I'm trying to get some information from the site urgently, and am completely stumped by this problem.

    Try this:
    Open System Preferences/Network. Double click on your connection type, or select it in the drop-down menu. Click on TCP/IP and in the box marked 'DNS Servers' enter the following two numbers:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    (An explanation of why that is both safe and a good idea can be read here: http://www.labnol.org/internet/tools/opendsn-what-is-opendns-why-required-2/2587 /
    Open DNS also provides an anti-phishing feature: http://www.opendns.com/solutions/homenetwork/anti-phishing/ )

  • Reinstall and having major access problems

    Hello
    I had a problem with my hard drive so I used clone copy to back up my data and then
    erased and installed 10.5.1
    Now I can not open many programs like CS3, Itunes,ICal,Etc as they all say I do not have permissions or something to that effect on each one.
    I repaired permissions and also used Diskwarrior 4. I have went through many files and added my user name as it was not there in "Get Info" Most of these data folders
    that I changed had red circles with a negative on it.
    I have tried everything even Migration asst to restore but it does not restore my data to my user (Admin) account.
    The only thing left to do is start all over and lose lots of data.
    I have tried everything I have read on the discussions group but if anybody has some insight please let me know.
    This all started when I did an Apple applications update right before 10.5.2 came
    out. The next day when I restarted I had problems and now I am here, HELP

    Those permissions should be correct. Any apple supplied apps should say System with Read/Write as the owner, Admin with Read/Write as the user, and Everyone with Read Only as the group. Any apps you have installed yourself should have your admin account's name with Read/Write as the owner and everything else the same as previously noted. This sounds like an admin account that has a corrupted permission set. Can you create a new admin account without trying any migration and see if your applications will launch correctly?

    YOu will need to contact your cell phone provider to resolve those issue, those are carrier features.

  • Hello, I have a problem with my iphone 4 battery, it looses 20% over the night with wifi on and without receiving any phone call or notification. It also uses 1 or 2% each time I check my iphone even if it is just to check up my messages. Is it normal?

    Yes this is fairly normal. When you have wifi on the phone, it drains the battery life of the device.
    Here is an article that has some tips that you can follow so you can modify the settings on your device to extend it's battery life to the fullest.

    I guess your definition of a "successful repair" is different from most people's.
    If you got it serviced by Apple, take it back to them.
    If you had it serviced by a 3rd party, Apple won't touch it. Take it back to whoeever fixed it for you.

  • D6603 Problem with sounds [alarm, spotify, calls]

    Hey,
    I have a several troubles with my new Z3 (D6603). All problems are related to sounds and... occur randomly.
    1. Bug with spotify application (Often)
    2.  music plays at one time with call (occurred once)
    3. I shut off alarm by swipe off and ring still playing (occurred once)
    Ok, well...
    1.Spotify player *if it helps, i have logs*
     I have a trouble with playing in the background when screen is locked
    Device: Sony Z3 / 4.4.4
    Common problems:
    1) Music plays only for ~15 / 20 sec when screen is locked
    2) in application play/pause, fwd, backward buttons are clickable but don't respond
    3) In lock screen i don't have spotify widget when problem occurs
    4) In notification bar i don't have spotify widget when problem occurs
    Clearly there is a problem between the lockscreen/notification bar and spotify...When tapping a play button, app doesn't respond. The problem resolves itself after a long moment but not always.
    steps to produce the error:
    1. Open Spotify (Premium sub)
    2. Tap play button
    3. Tap lockscreen button (screen is turn off)
    4. Tap lockscreen button again (screen is switched on lock screen view where we have Spotify widget)
    5. Music plays for about ~15/20 sec. and at the same time i can shut off application where in spite of everything music plays for that 20 sec. Of course application didn't respond to clicking navigation button like play/pause...
    clearing cache, reboot, clean reinstall application and restoring to factory settings don't help..
    2. Music and calls
    I listened to music on spotify when my friend called. I received a call and music... didn't stop. I listened to my friend and music at the same time... I couldn't stop the music in any way...
    3. Alarm
    I set the timer for 20 minutes, after 20 minutes I turned off alarm by swipe action and ring still played... just reboot the device helped.
    What i should do with that problems?
    PS
    i have a operator branded device [T-Mobile PL] ...

    Then the problem will be with spotify, it will be wise to contact the app developer.

  • Problem between SOAP Sender and JDBC Receiver

    Hi,
    I have a asynchronous scenary between SOAP Sender and JDBC Receiver.
    The idea is sending an ID for updating one register.
    Table structure is:
    TABLE AS_PERSONA
        (P_RUT                         VARCHAR2(10) NOT NULL,
        P_NOMBRE                       VARCHAR2(50),
        P_APELLIDO                     VARCHAR2(50))
    The ID is the P_RUT field.
    The structure of message that I send by SOAP, is the following:
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
         <SOAP-ENV:Body>
              <m:MT_CONS_SOAP xmlns:m="urn:prueba:voliva">
                   <CONSULTA>
                        <P_RUT>15445</P_RUT>
                   </CONSULTA>
              </m:MT_CONS_SOAP>
         </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    The JDBC receiver structure is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:MT_CONS_PERSONA xmlns:ns0="urn:prueba:voliva">
         <Statement>
              <AS_PERSONA action="UPDATE">
                   <table>AS_PERSONA</table>
                   <access>
                        <P_NOMBRE>DELETE_BY_XI</P_NOMBRE>
                        <P_APELLIDO>DELETE_BY_XI</P_APELLIDO>
                   </access>
                   <key>
                        <P_RUT>15445</P_RUT>
                   </key>
              </AS_PERSONA>
         </Statement>
    </ns0:MT_CONS_PERSONA>
    When I do a call to SOAP by XMLspy, it returns a message without data, that means succesfull reply.
    I see message monitor and see the succesfull flag. But in the database it doesn't update the register.
    This scenario was proved using the File Sender and same JDBC Receiver, then result was succesfull.
    I proved SOAP Sender with a File Receiver, storing information from SOAP sender in an archive, and works well.
    Then I imagine that exist some problem between SOAP and JDBC. what could be happening ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Looks like the problem is with the JDBC receiver...try updating the value in the table by using a File-JDBC scenario..does it work..check the adapter monitor in RWB..

  • Question re Zone Alarm and WRT54G admin page display problem

    First - thanks to all who posted about Zone Alarm - I was going to exchange my router this weekend - I spent an hour on the phone with tech support and she was trying to get my router updated with v9 through a roundabout way, but I kept getting an error that said my Flash could not be erased - so she thought the firware on my router was somehow corrupted. But I'm definitely going to check out the Zone Alarm idea first.
    My question is - can someone tell me exactly how to disable Zone Alarm? I thought I had done so, but I guess not - I'm not very familiar with Zone Alarm. Also - I had purchased Zone Alarm about a year ago, (was using it with a Linksys wired router) and suddenly I am getting messages on restart telling me my "trial period is up" - of course I can't find my original packaging to enter a serial number (altho one is already entered and they say it's not *valid*) so I have to select an option that tells me I am no longer protected. (unless I pay another $40 to re-register it!!) Could this be part of the problem?
    Final question - sorry for being such a newbie - but do I really need both Zone Alarm and the firewall in the router?  ZA says it has caught thousands of attempts on my system - while it was running with my non-wireless router installed - is that a crock? Or is actually good to have both software and hardware routers?  And if I do need ZA still - does it have to be disabled everytime I want to access the admin page? Then turned back on?
    ugh!
    thanks -
    Mary

    LOL - This forum is great, I've been here 5 minutes and now have some fresh perspectives on a couple of problems.
    I would NOT recommend paying for ZA. What the heck were they thinking when they created their 'Zones'? They should have named it something else for one, like 'Complicated rules and policies that are guaranteed to hack up everything you try to do (and it gets even worse when you restore the settings you tweaked back to their defaults)' But I guess that's a little too long.
    Marynospam: Your Windows firewall (if ur on windows) will do a pretty good job of keeping out unwanted visitors from the Internet. It will NOT stop malware from calling out! Modern day scumbags slip you a trojan that will spy, record, copy, and call them back with whatever they want from you. If you are using Microsoft Windows DO NOT TURN OFF your 3rd party firewall! Of the firewall/security vendors I have experience with, McAfee is the best. I have only used their firewall and viruscan, and don't have experience with their 'spyware' package.
