Album titles are missing from some of the songs on my iPhone, but show up in iTunes normally.
Some songs that are synced onto my iPhone are missing album names. It's completely blank. I went back and double checked on my computer, and found that the album is all there in iTunes. Furthermore, the album artwork shows up on my iPhone. So something weird has to be happening.
For example, iTunes shows songs as having a name, artist, album, track number, year, etc. When it shows up in Music, the album is missing along with the track number (I assume). The song IS on my iPhone, it's just missing the album TITLE (not the artwork though). I can find the song under songs, but not albums.
I went back and checked in iTunes to make sure all the obvious things weren't affecting it. I removed it from my phone, then re-synced it. I changed the artist name, album name, everything. I checked and unchecked 'part of a compilation.' I put it on a playlist, took it off the playlist, synced the album, the artist, synced nothing and dragged it to my iPhone. Nothing worked. For the life of me I can't get this album name to show up for all the songs on this album. It's weird because the album is definitely shown in iTunes, and the song definitely gets synced to my iPhone without that data.
I'm completely at a loss here. Any thoughts?
I have this same issue. All the data (including artwork) is in iTunes, but on py phone (4S, current OS). the album title is missing. If I'm using bluetooth to connect to my car, it shows as "Unknown Album."
There isn't any rhyme or reason to it. I've had it happen to singles as well as one track of a complete album. It doesn't seem to matter if artist matches album artist or not or whether it is part of a compilation.
One more bit of information. I recently purchased the entire soundtrack for Hairspray. At first the album name was on my phone no problem. Then I went into iTunes and edited some track information, changing the artist name (and album artist) to "Cast Recording" and removing the check for compilation. After making those changes, the album name went missing.
Any help would be appreciated.

Get Info (cmd-i) on one of these files. In the "Open with" tab is PS selected?
If that's so it may be some corruption LaunchServices.These are only cache files but can get corrupted.
Launch /Utilities/Terminal and copy & paste this at the command line to rebuild LaunchServices:
(EDIT: Be sure to copy the entire line of code it is a slider)

My computer has died and will not be working ever again. Problem is, i have all of my songs on that computer in my itunes library as well as on my phone. Now i want to add some songs to my phone from some new cds and it tells me i will loose all my songs on my phone right now when i perform the sync. How can i keep all of the songs on my iphone because now i do not have copies of these songs anymore except on my iphone?????? It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new one.
If for some reason you have failed to backup, big mistake, then you can transfer itunes purchases from the iphone to the computer: File>Transfer Purchases
You may be able to buy a 3rd party program to get any other music off of the iphone ( not supported by Apple).
When you sync the iphone, it will erase the current content and replace with content form the new computer.

After purchasing a album of TV Theme songs, during the download some of the themes would not load, an error message came up saying to the effect I did not have the correct info to download. Does anyone know about this issue & any thoughts on how I aquire the themes I paid for? The themes that did not load still show up in the music list but are greyed out & have an "!" exclamation mark beside the number of the item in the list.
Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Why won't some of the songs on my iPhone show me who the song is by?
On my iphone, I go to my music and play a song and when I click on it, it will only show the artist. It will not show what the song is called. This happens to quite a lot of my songs and I'm getting really irritated with it.
Obviously the ones I bought from itunes aren't like that. Some of them I use youtube and convert it to vidtomp3. But when I first started doing that, the songs were fine. So I don't think that's the issue. I just don't know why it happens to some songs and not others.

My iPhone lists every song (songs that I have imported from cd's, but not purchased through iTunes) twice. iTunes only shows 1 instance of each song. If I delete a doubled up entry from the phone, it deletes the whole song. Has anyone else run into this problem?

CPU Compatibility lists are missing from some mainboard pages
Since the latest web site revamp, some CPU Compatibility/support file links have disappeared. The one I am mainly interested in is for the K9N2 SLI Platinum. I want to change my cpu-and now there is no way to tell what is supported. The Support-Test link is still there, as is the various downloads, but there is no way to find the cpu support file. The DKA790GX page used to be missing the CPU link, but got one a few days ago. Several other older mainboards I looked at are also missing the cpu support link. Thanks

Delete the files from iTunes. Go to the iTunes Store. Look to the right side of the iTunes Store window for the Purchased function. You can find all of your past purchases there.

Dear Apple. I have just installed Windows 7 64-bit full version Home Premium using Bootcamp and cannot get access to the internet. I installed on a Macbook Air Mid 2012 with Mountain Lion. Are there some drivers that are missing from the Windows 7 bootcamp install download from Apple
It is a Total Misconception that the Support files are installed when you are installing Windows, even if the USB drive that holds them is inserted in the system when doing the Windows install.
You must always Run the Setup.exe files from the support files or run the drivers individually once Windows has finished installing and booted to the desktop.
Also you really need to run the Boot Camp Control Panel Applet and check for updates as not all the newest drivers for full function of all the hardware is included with the original support download. That download is basically a generic version to get the system working and without doing the updates not everything will work properly. -
PS CS4 64-bit (in Web Premium CS4) on Win 7 PC. I did a duplicate file check on my hdd and deleted dup files. Now when I try to run PS 64-bit I get "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application." When I do this, it seems to install correctly until the very end, then it says "Installation Complete With Errors", and when I try to run I get the same 'component missing message'. What can I do? PS 32 bit runs fine. Some of the other applications ib Web Premium say the shortcut has been changed or removed. I appreciate your help...Thank you

Renée in the future when removing Photoshop CC please utilize the uninstaller located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Please run the uninstaller and then reinstall. Just updated my iMac to OS X Yosemite and my Photoshop will no longer open. Pop up message informing, Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application. I have the pay monthly package and don't know where to start.
