"Alert has no recipients" in SLG1

I tried to activate ALM for XI messages..I did all settings "alrtcatdef" and RWB.
I send incorrect messages to XI to get an error message in SXMB_MONI..I think , the connection XI and ALM is ok because when an message in error status occurs , I see an error log in SLG1
it says "Alert has no recipients" in client 001 , but my XI clinet 101.
my questions are
1) instead of client 101 (XI) , why did a alert log occur in client 001 ?
2) why the error says that "Alert has no recipients" although i set "fixed recipients" in alrtcatdef ?
Thanks

Hi Tuncer,
Because of the message:
Alert has no recipients" in client 001
It's showing that it's pointing to your gold XI client system, instead your 101.
Check in : Settings -> RFC Dest. for Alert Server.  To see if there something is pointing to another client.

    The sound on all of my game apps and my alerts has stopped working. Still works for Netflix, Hulu, YouTube... Anything video related. Anyone else have this problem or know what I should do to fix it?

    If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
    System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
    Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
    If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
    If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
    If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.
    This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

  • I had an alert that reminded me to add attachment when the word attachment was included in the message text. That alert has gone away. How do I renew?

    I include in my message to recipient that I'm attaching something, then I forget to attach. There was an alert that reminded me to add the attachment, but it has disappeared. How do I get it back?

    From the Menu Bar select '''Tools-Options-Composition-General'''
    Check the box to check for missing attachments.
    No menu bar? Press the alt key.

  • New mail alert has stopped working

    I use Mail with my .mac account and a few days ago, Mail stopped alerting me when I had new mail. I've tried changing the new mail sound and I removed com.apple.mail.plist from my Preferences folder but that didn't fix the problem.
    I really like hearing some sort of sound when new mail arrives in my inbox. Anobody have any ideas about what else I should try?
    Thanks.

    This sometimes happens to me too, as well as my alerts with iChat. I have to restart the computer and that fixes it for me. Hope that is the case with you as well.

  • Using Outlook 2011 on new Macbook, I am getting error code 50 The message could not be sent because it has unresolved recipients."  Can anyone suggest how to resolve this?  Thank you!

    I have used Outlook since it came out and am using it on new Macbook Air.  Today, I started getting this message.
    thank you!
    Gary

    It sounds to me like some of the addressees in an email message you're tryijng to send are not legitimate.  Perhaps you're trying to use Apple's Contacts address book instead of Outlook's.  Check each outgoing address in the message.

    Dear Avi,
    Did you maintain Alert Notification Profile?
    If you wish to send out notifications regarding the occurrence of alerts via the Alert Notification Engine, you must create an alert notification profile.

  • Dynamic alert messages

    Hi All,
    I have got alert categories created by client,I have to use alert categories and dynamic alert message in BPM.i am not authorized for transaction ALRTCATDEF.Can you tell me where i can see dynamic alert messages for alert categories created.Is there any transaction or I can check in RWB in alert configuration
    Best Regards,
    Harleen Kaur Chadha

    Alert Configuration:- You use alert configuration to have the system informed you about the errors that occurs during message processing.
    *Used for alerts that occurs at IE.
    Alert Management: When you define the integration process you can specify that if a particular situation occurs at runtime a alert has to be thrown using alert management.
    *Used to handle business specific errors.
    For example if the stock falls below certain level an alert has to be thorwn to the specified user using the integration process in this case you have to follow steps defined in alert management
    Defining Alert Categories
    During alert category definition, you specify the alert text, expiry time, escalation, and all other conditions related to the sending of this kind of alert.
    1. Ensure that you are in change mode in the alert category definition environment (transaction ALRTCATDEF).
    2. Choose Create Alert Category.
    3. In the Alert Category column, enter a technical key. Choose a key that describes the situation that triggers the alert, such as CUSTCANC for a category responding to a customer cancellation. This key is language-independent and identifies the alert category. The standard namespace convention applies to the key, this means keys Z* und Y* belong to the customer name space.
    4. On the Properties tab page:
    a. In the Description field, enter a description for the alert category. Choose a description that is informative with respect to the content of the alert category. The description is language-dependent.
    b. If required, you can select a classification in the Classification field. If you do not choose a specific classification, the category is stored in the classification folder Unclassified. For more information on classifications, see Alert Classification.
    c. In the Max. No. of Dels field, specify a maximum number of times that an alert of this category is to be delivered if it is not confirmed. This refers to delivery using a communication channel other than to the recipientu2019s display program (UWL, application-specific program, or alert inbox).
    d. Select Dynamic Text if the texts of the alert category cannot be defined at this stage. This refers to situations in which the texts are not known until runtime, for example when CCMS Alerts are forwarded to ALM.
    No translation can be performed for alerts with dynamic text. System messages can be entered manually in several languages.
    e. In the Expiry Time in Min. field, you can enter a life span for alerts of this category if the alerts will no longer be relevant after a specific period of time. If the expiry time elapses, the alert is removed from the alert inbox and is no longer delivered using any other channel.
    Expiry times can be derived from various sources. Priority is given first to the data provided by the triggering application, second to the BAdI ALERT_EXP_DATE, and third to this field in the alert category definition. If none is found in any of these sources, the default expiry of 31.12.2099 applies.
    f. If you wish to specify an escalation recipient, select Escalation Active and enter the escalation recipient. Also specify a tolerance time in minutes. When escalation is active for an alert category, an alert is escalated if none of the alert recipients has confirmed the alert after this tolerance time. The escalation recipient is also informed that he or she has received the alert because of an escalation.
    The escalation functionality is based on the administrator report RSALERTPROC. This report has to be scheduled as a regular job. For information on this report.
    5. On the Container tab page, define any variables that you may want to use in the short text or long text. You can also define other application-specific variables, such as company code or material number. These variables are then replaced at runtime with values from the application. For more information, .
    6. On the Short and Long Text tab page, enter texts for the alert category. You can include text variables referring to elements of the alert container or system symbols. In the case of a container element, the variable must be defined in the alert container. The entry in the text must be in the form &<ElementName>&.
    The title is used as mail title, fax subject, and alert title in the inbox. The long text is used as mail/fax body and the long text view in the inbox. The short text is used for pager and SMS.
    7. On the Optional Subsequent Activities tab page, you can enter URLs for subsequent activities. If you trigger your alerts by calling a function module, you can also specify dynamic subsequent activities. For more information, see Triggering by Calling a Function Module Directly in Triggering Alerts.
    8. Save your entries.
    You create an alert category to use in alert rules.

  • Alert and Fault Message type Usage

    Hi All,
    I struck to the use of Alert and Fault message type.
    (a) Can we use Alert in scenarios without BPM ? If yes where can we use?
    (b) Can we use Fault Message Type in scenarios except Proxy ? If yes, how?
    Kindly suggest me .
    Thanks

    Hi Rabi,
    In order to use Alert for your File to File scenario, you need to setup Alert Configuration.
    To configure alerts, you need to create the following:
    1. Alert Categories in tcode ALRTCATDEF
        - Here you need to define the alert message that will be sent once error occured and alert has been triggered. You would need to define here the recipients who will receive email notifications about the error message.
    2. Alert Rules in Runtime Workbench
    - Here you need to define which alert category you would use based on the rules you set. You can define if the error is in the Integration Engine or in Adapter Engine (for errors in File Communication channels). Also, you need to define condition for  the alert by selecting the sender and  receiver systems, interfaces that would be involved for the alert.
    For further details, you may look the SAP documentation:

  • Alert Inbox :: Full contents not visible

    Hi
    I am working on Alert Management & everything went fine. But when I am getting Message under " <i>Long text</i> " & user list under "<i>recipient</i>" tabs in <u>Alert Inbox</u>, they are not completely visible.
    I mean only the message within one tab is coming.
    It seems that BSP coding for this page need to be changed, which can increase the width & length somehow.
    One of my colleague who knows BSP tried to change the code of this "alertinbox" but he said that width is already 100% & he cant increase more that that.
    Can someone tell me where do i need to make changes & what needs to be done.
    Pls. Suggest.
    Best Regards
    - Lalit Chaudhary -

    Problem can be found within the SEND method of the CL_ALERT_MANAGER class. In this method it executes the following code:
        CALL METHOD alert_cat_man->get_short_text
          EXPORTING
            ip_cat       = l_cat
            ii_container = li_container
            ip_langu     = l_langu
          IMPORTING
            ep_text      = ep_textstring.
    li_container has an attribute mt_elements which contains the values of the containers of the alert category, the recipients and the logical system.
    ep_textstring is an ordinary string.
    I have an alert category which has 1 container, a char160 field. I want to put a char140 field in it:
    <i>XIDCLNT050 : Testtype on 20070419 / 103154 interval of 30 min, less than 1 received!</i>
    This char140 field is put in the &ERROR_TEXT& container.
    The ep_textstring is the finalized string (as defined in transaction ALRTCATDEF).
    and in my case should look like:
    <i>Alert IDOC_MONI: &ERROR_TEXT&</i>
    If we put in the actual value of &ERROR_TEXT& we get:
    <i>Alert IDOC_MONI: XIDCLNT050 : Testtype on 20070419 / 103154 interval of 30 min, less than 1 received!</i>.
    However the output of ep_textstring looks like:
    <i>Alert IDOC_MONI: XIDCLNT050 : TESTTYPE ON 20070419 / 103154 INTERVAL OF 30 MIN, LESS THAN 1 RECEI</i>
    ep_textstring is 97 characters long and the correct string should be 101 characters long so both should fit easily in a short text.
    In my opinion it's a bug in SAP so im trying to get an answer from them.
    Kind regards,
    Wouter Luijten
    edit: got an answer. all texts are 80 characters long. So if your texts are longer than that, they will be truncated.

This refers to delivery using a communication channel other than to the recipient’s display program (UWL, application-specific program, or alert inbox).
    Prerequisites
    You have started the Runtime Workbench from the SAP Exchange Infrastructure start page and have selected the Alert Configuration tab page on the initial screen.
    Procedure
    To create an alert category, proceed as follows:
    1. Choose Create Alert Category.
    You can also create the alert category directly by calling transaction ALRTCATDEF. In both cases you require the authorizations of the role SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR.
    2. Enter the following values:
    The receiver of the alert
    The title of the alert
    The text of the alert, including container variables that are automatically created and filled at runtime.
    The follow-up activity
    Specify the URL of the required follow-up activity. At runtime, the link address of message monitoring is always entered as the standard follow-up activity.
    3. Once you have created a new alert category, choose Update Table to display the category in the alert category selection table

    If your end goal is showing a pretty error message instead of the message that the tables unique constraint raises try the following. This logic will show a nice message and not try to insert non-unique data.
    (1) Create a validation of type "Function Returning Error Text".
    (2) Place similar code like the following in your validation. Notice that if the unique name does not exist the no_data_found returns null allowing the validation to pass.
    DECLARE
      v_error varchar2(100);
    BEGIN
      SELECT 'A person by this name already exists.'
      INTO v_error
      FROM your_table
      WHERE your_name = :P1_YOUR_NAME;
      RETURN v_error;
    EXCEPTION
      WHEN no_data_found THEN
        RETURN NULL;
    END;

  • How to get SCOM alerts and send single summary email of one's that have breached.

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create a runbook which does as the title suggests, ie I want to get the 'Active' alerts from the console which have breached our SLA, which is No Critical or Warning alerts in resolution state of New for more than 24 hrs, and emails this list
    to an internal Distribution List of all the potential service owners.  Its just intended as a daily email to poke the relevant people not to ignore the console alerts :-)
    I'm able to Get Alerts OK, but from there I'm having diffs.  I have been given a powershell (as I'm no good at Powershell myself) which does the filtering to get the relevant breached alerts, but when I pass output to other activities and ultimately
    to the create/send email, I end up only able to get multiple emails, one be alert which matches the filtering from powershell.  I have appended to a file to check that I can write the alert properties line by line, but for example if Ive 4 alerts then
    I end up with 4 emails - I want one email with each alert detail (severity, Alert name, path,resolutionstate, Days/hrs in breach, Service Owner (custom Field 3) etc).  I have toyed with flattening the output with line breaks and/or commas at various points
    along the activity chain to ftry force a single iteration of te send email but this just messes the format to the point of not being useful.
    So was wondering if anyone could advise if this is possible, esp if able to do it using the standard activities  along with SCOM IP - I'm sure doing it all in powershell it a possible answer but I'm not proficient to do it - unless someone can provide
    said script! :-)
    Another possibility which has crossed my mind is to possible query the OpsMgr DB directly using the Alert ID from Get Alert but haven't tried tht yet.  I think I' stuggling to understand the basic of how the data is passed from activities esp using
    the 'flatten outpout method..  My current runbook has the fllowing activities:
    GetAlert -> Run .Net (powershell for filtering for breaced alerts) -> AppendFile (to Check the alert output) -> Create/Send Email(to send summary email).  What happens is if I have say 4 Breached emails in Console, when I run tester I
    see GetAlert runs Once detail shows it has found 4 alerts), then each activity up the chain runs 4 times so that finally I end up with 4 emails.
    If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated - I can provide any more details/upload pic of current runbook if it helps...
    Thanks...

    Hi thanks for the suggestion.  I've tried playing around with the runbook using the Junction activity infront of the sendmail.  It doesnt appear to do anyting in itself (unless I'm not using it correctly).  The only way I can get the email
    to only send once is if I flatten the output from the returned data behaviour - this works if I flatten at the Get Alert stage without the Junction activity or if I use the junction an flatten it then the email fires once.
    However the problem with this is that each field for each alert is written vertically, so if I have 3 alerts returning 3 pieces of returned data I get:
    <Alert1 datafield1>
    <Alert2 datafield1>
    <Alert3 datafield1>
    <Alert1 datafield2>
    <Alert2 datafield2>
    <Alert3 datafield2>
    <Alert1 datafield3>
    <Alert2 datafield3>
    <Alert3 datafield3>
    wereas I wan the dat to appear in horizonally with each alert details on each row as like when written to a file, ie
    <Alert1 datafield1> <Alert1 Datafield2> <Alert1 DataField3>
    <Alert2 datafield1> <Alert2 Datafield2> <Alert2 DataField3>
    <Alert3 datafield1> <Alert3 Datafield2> <Alert3 DataField3>
    Without the use of flatten, the email which fires once for each alert has the data displayed correctly.  So essentially what I'm hoping to get is all returned alert details one per line/row in the body of the email...
    If theres any easy way to do it withing the orchestrator activities would be great.  Otherwise it looks like I might have to try find a powershell or SQL script to pull back alert data.  Cheers...
