Alias tables do not show more than 9 fields of the same type in a Command

Hi there, In Crystal Reports I have a Command to query a database, this works fine and returns what I need,
but in when you add more than 9 alias's and and then Select more thatn 9 fields of the same type it does not show any more them in the Field Exporler window.
i.e. I want to add another alias and select casdet_text(10) but it does not show any more than 9.
Any help woud be apprecitated.

Hi James,
It's likely an internal limitation. If you are going to alias all of your fields it's more efficient to use a View or Stored Procedure to handle the renaming server side rather than client side.
It may even be a connection limit, try using another tool and see if you can add more than 9 aliases.

I got the asnwer.. In the filed list I have to specify the datatype & it's Size otherwise by default it will take CHAR(255)..
work_type CHAR(4000) solved the problem..!!

Facebook is showing more than once in the HUB !

Dear All,
I noticed that my Facebook is showing more than once in the HUB ! and everything instance of it is displaying something different than the other. Old instances are displaying old notifications that I have deleted a long time ago!
Each time a login and logout of the Facebook app, a new instance is created inside the HUB ! it seems that there is a serious bug in either the HUB or Facebook !!
How can I fix this ?

CRS Install hostname being used by more than once for the same node.

Hi, we're installing The Oracle Clusterware and on the Cluster Configuration screen of the universal Installer (the one were you specify the clustername and clusternodes) we get the following error message in a dialog box when the next button is clicked:
"You must enter unique values for the public node name, the private node name and the virtual hostname for all nodes in the cluster. The name, node1, that you entered is being used by more than once for the same node."
Has anyone experienced this error message before and know what the cause is?
Could it be a problem with the /etc/hosts file?

Make sure you allocate separate IP addresses on your network for the VIP addresses on each RAC node (this is not the same as the machine IP already configured on the OS).
Also, the installer may complain if your private and public IPs are configured under the same subnet.
Finally, as mentioned before, check that name resolution for all the IPs to be used. On all RAC nodes, your /etc/hosts file should be configured with:
- public name and IP addresses of ALL nodes
- private name and IP addresses of ALL nodes
- VIP name and IP addresses of ALL nodes

when i run the page sometimes it works fine but sometimes it throws Compilation Error as below.
"Error(502,1224): file:/C:/Jdeveloper/jdevhome/jdev/myhtml/OA_HTML/fwk/t/Session_2055663493/region1.uix<Line 502, Column 1224>: XML-20124: (Fatal Error) An attribute cannot appear more than once in the same start tag."
And i delete the particular file from the path and run the page so this time it works fine.
But later after sometime i get the same error but the session number will be changed, then again i need to delete it and run.
What can be the permanent solution for this issue?

Seems like the mdl file is corrupted or was not generated correctly.
Can you try to create the mdl file again and then try the import ?
If it doesn't work then try contacting Oracle Support.

Query Bean Advanced Search not showing more than four criuteria

Hi,
I am new to using Query bean for Simple/Advanced Search. I have 6 criteria under the advancedSearchPanel criteria. In advancedSearchMapping, I am mapping all the six conditions. However when I run the Page, only the first four are shown. I am not sure as to why the other two are not rendering.
I modified the order of the conditions and after that again the first four conditions are being shown. I am not sure of the bahaviour as to why this is happenning.
Please help me figure out the issue.

I was looking for a way to display more than 4 criterias in the advanced search panel, and I found this topic.
So if I understand, there is no way we can display more than 4 criterias at the opening of an advanced search page ??!!
I really need to display default 9 criterias in this panel (my customer really need it)
1) Is there anyway to do it?
2) When I add a new criteria (a LOV), the only search operators I have are "is" and "is not", while in the standard criteria items, there is more operators ("begins with", "contains", ... ). Why?

The CSV file on the application server not showing more than 255 characters

We are using SAP 4.6C & the CSV file getting created on the application server has more than 255 characters, all the characters beyond 255 are getting truncated, even while downloading the file the same no. of characters are coming in the file.
Can any one please let me know how can we overcome the problem in SAP 4.6C?

You can't display morethan 255 Char. If you see the fun mod you will see the the limit,I also faced the same problem. Probably you start checking by adding fields one by one or you have to reduce the length of some fields in order to display the full data in CSV.

[ADF]not showing more than 15 digits

I have a database column with precision (20,10)
I have exposed field as an input field to the user. The format in the VO is defined as follows #,###,###,###.##########
I am faced with the following bug. When the total digits in the entered value exceeded 15, the last digit is automatically getting cropped.
e.g 0123456789.1234567 is getting cropped to 0123456789.12346
Can anyone please let me know what I need to do to overcome this issue

For this n EO/VO and user the same pattern I too see that the last digits of the number are cropped.
Running this EO/VO in the tester I too seethe input "1234567890.0123456789" converted to "1,234,567,890.0123458". The difference is that in the EO I used oracle.jbo.domain.Number for the transient attribute.
Added another inputtext which is bind to a oracle.jbo.domain.Number in the pagedef and this works too.

the appropriate drives and folders... as the
import statement doesn't see them.

Is it problematic to use Microphone.getEnhancedMicrophone() more than once on the same device?

Here's an interesting little experiment:
     Alert.show((Microphone.getEnhancedMicrophone() == Microphone.getEnhancedMicrophone()).toString());
     Alert.show((Microphone.getMicrophone() == Microphone.getMicrophone()).toString());
They both show "false", even though the calls to getMicrophone() and getEnhancedMicrophone() always point to the same device.
I'm making an R&D app right now, and this is a potential problem for me. I've designed the app around it being able to refresh the list of available mics, and for the user to be able to go back and forth between different mics and be able to hear themselves, among other things.
If they turn on loop back for a mic, then re-select the same mic, it'll create a different object for that same exact device, and after turning off loop back for the previous instance (and removing all references to that instance), it'll turn on loop back for the new instance. The problem? It's hard to tell for sure, but there appears to possibly be some sort of issue with the Flash Player taking a minute to garbage collect the old instance, and during that time, the Flash Player trying to read audio out of that device and loop it back twice, as opposed to once.
It's hard to tell whether this is really happening, or whether the distortion I'm hearing is purely two-second transition from one instance to the other, but there are also questions in my mind about the viability of just trying to track each individual device in a Dictionary; if multiple devices have the same name and keep getting pulled out of one port and plugged into another, there seem to be problems in being able to keep track of indivdual devices very well in that case.
So is this a really big issue for an app that's designed to let people keep switching mics back and forth, as well as letting them refresh the list of available mics over and over? Or as long as setLoopBack(false); and setSilenceLevel(100); are called on every instance before its references are removed, will there not be any sort of disturbance in future instances' audio (or any other issue, aside from late GC)? You're creating a reference. The constructor that runs factorizes some other classes into your object such as flash.media.SoundTransform. Due to instantiating a "new" SoundTransform, it differs from the other mic references SoundTransform. Thus the object is not identical. The debug panel shows you easier:
If you really just want to see if it's attached to the same device, simply compare the index value.

LOV does not show newly added data in the same session

Hi guys,
I work with JDeveloper 11g Release 2. We use Oracle ADF to develop our web app.
In a page we have a LOV (say the page name is "a"). The related data for that LOV is inserted to the db in another page ( say the page name is "b").
When new data is added in the page "b" and goes directly to the page "a" the LOV does not show newly added data. But if the user log out and log in again
LOV shows newly added data correctly.
Is there a way to show the newly added data in the same session without logging out? Please help.

SchemaFactory.newSchema can't be called more than one with the same sources

I am using Java 5 or Java 6. Did you already observed such behavior? Seems a bug but I didn't find a Bug ID match.

I've looked further into the matter and the problem is that the newSchema() method closes the underlying input stream, as a result of which there is no way to reuse the same source object if it is based on an input stream. There's another alternative: if it is not necessary for you to provide the schemas in an array, you can use the "newSchema(URL schema)" method.
