Aliased Background Text Upon Button Selection

Hello,
This message concerns aliasing on flattened, background psd menu text -- the text shows aliasing upon selecting any button navigation.
I've built a DVD with several menus which use a photoshop-built background (image and text -- flattened & saved as tiff), and that also have 4-6 Motion drop zones / menu, each of which contains 30 sec Quicktime (Broadband - High), 480 x 360 clips. The normal state for buttons is flattened text as part of the background image, with a simple grayscale pict file (shape) as the overlay for selected/active button states (no issues with button overlay).
All menus play correctly without issue. When a button is selected on any menu the menu pauses before transitioning to the destination, as is normal -- at that point however, I see a brief period of text aliasing in all menu text. The aliasing is very brief, but to my eye, looks unclean. Is there any workarounds for text aliasing upon button navigation?

There are a few ways to do this, but if there are only a few items I would probably put the label outlets into a list (or array), and when the popup is selected just hide everything and then use the index of the selected item to get the matching text field - for example (labelList is a list of the label outlets, and the doPopup handler is connected to the popup button):
  on doPopup_(sender) -- handle popup button
    repeat with anItem in labelList -- hide everything
      anItem's setHidden_(true)
    end repeat
    set x to (sender's indexOfSelectedItem() as integer) + 1 -- menu items start at zero
    (item x of labelList)'s setHidden_(false) -- AppleScript list items start at 1
  end doPopup_
Edit: you could also use a single text field and use the selected item to index into a list of responses.
