Align table to very top of browser window?

Hi, i am embedding a swf movie into a dreamweaver page, and I would like to align it to the very top of a browser window, how do I do this? This is the code I have so far which aligns the whole thing in the middle of the page:
<style type="text/css">
<!--
body{
    height: 100%;
    width:100%;
    margin: 0;
    overflow:auto;
    background-color: #AEAEAE;
div.minimum_size {
/* for mozilla */
min-width: 1300px;
min-height: 850px;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
/* for IE */
width: expression( Math.max( document.body.clientWidth,1300 ) + "px" );
height: expression( Math.max(document.body.clientHeight,880 ) + "px" );
-->
</style>
</head>
<body>
    <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" height="100%"
width="100%">
    <tr>
        <td align="center">
    <div id="flashcontent">
<div align="center">
  <p>In order to view the content on this page, you will need the latest version of Adobe’s Flash Player. <a href="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" target="_new">Click here to download it</a>.</p></div>
</div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
        // <![CDATA[
        var so = new SWFObject("Index.swf", "Index", "1300px", "850px", "8", "#AEAEAE");
        so.addVariable("flashVarText", "this is passed in via FlashVars for example only");
        so.addParam("scale", "default");
        so.write("flashcontent");
        // ]]>
        </script>
        </td>
    </tr>
    </table>
</body>

1300px min-width is very, very big by most people's standards.  Are you really sure you want your screen size fixed that wide?  Most people keep viewports sized down to make room for other application windows.  Min-width of 800px would seem much more reasonable.
But anyway, try this instead:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title>Untitled Document</title>
<style type="text/css">
<!--
* {margin:0; padding:0; line-height:1; border:0}
body{
    width:100%;
    margin: 0;
    background-color: #AEAEAE;
#minimum_size {
     text-align: center;
     /* for mozilla */
     min-width: 1300px;
     min-height: 850px;
     width: 100%;
     height: 100%;
     /* for IE */
     width: expression( Math.max( document.body.clientWidth,1300 ) + "px" );
     height: expression( Math.max(document.body.clientHeight,880 ) + "px" );
-->
</style>
</head>
<body>
<div id="minimum_size">
<p>In order to view the content on this page, you will need the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. <a href="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFl ash" target="_new">Click here to download it</a>.</p>
<script type="text/javascript">
        // <![CDATA[
        var so = new SWFObject("Index.swf", "Index", "1300px", "850px", "8", "#AEAEAE");
        so.addVariable("flashVarText", "this is passed in via FlashVars for example only");
        so.addParam("scale", "default");
        so.write("flashcontent");
        // ]]>
        </script>
</div>  <!--end min division -->

  • Title of Web Page doesn't appear at very top of browser window!

    Running 3.6.8 on Mac OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and the name/title of the website I am currently viewing doesn't appear above the address bar.
    For example, for this page (support.mozilla.com/en . . . ), "Ask a Question | Firefox Support" does not show up on the top.
    The title of the page DOES, however, appear in the tabs, but I often don't browse with multiple tabs open on a given browser window.
    I have tried running in safe mode, have disabled all addons/themes etc, but nothing seems to fix the irritating problem.

    I've partially fixed it by making some adjustments and republishing. but I still could not get the reflection to appear with the photo - which left a blank space that threw off the spacing on the page. i've removed the reflection to resolve this.

  • Alligning page to very top of browser window and problem with a random error symbol

    Dear reader
    Before I start I would just like to say sorry for posting
    another help request so soon after I have posted one before but I
    am having a problem with my website. My website is www.iggpog22.com
    (but you must include the www. or it goes to the wrong site I do
    not know why) anyway I seem to get a random questionmark at the top
    of my webpage which is rather annoying. I believe it may have been
    the result of me trying to use the google search bar code and
    perhaps I left some old code in but I have searched and just cannot
    figure this out. Is it possible anyone could inform me of how to
    remove it aslong as it is not much trouble. I would also like to
    know how I can get the main section of my site to touch the top of
    the browser screen instead of leaving a gap for the background to
    show (and aswell if I can do the same for the bottom of the page)
    Thank you for any assistance

    why not just look at the code of your page? it's there:
    <td width="88" rowspan="2" align="center"
    bgcolor="#333333"><img
    src="Images/Iggpog22Index/dev_id/ig2lgonobg.png" width="78"
    height="75" /></td>

    Just remove that question mark, whatever it is.

  • Is there a way to autoscroll the current accordion content to top of browser window?

    So this is a topic I have seen brought up but never solved….
    I have an accordion on my site which displays content larger than the browser window, so when you scroll down to the bottom of the content box and get to the next accordion topic and click on it stays in the same place in the broswer window however since the prior accordion content closes it leaves you scrolled half way down on the current content.
    So is there a way to bind an action where it autoscrolls and brings the browser to the top of the clicked accordion content?
    here you see the window scrolled to the bottom of the first accordion content and the second showing its hover state…. when you click on the "So i made.." content it leaves you with this...
    the middle of the second accordion content, causing you to have to scroll up to the top of it to continue reading….
    I found this jquery scrpit which supposedly would do it.  However since Muse exports is scripts differently it doesnt apply.
    $('.ui-accordion').bind('accordionchange', function(event, ui) {
                ui.newHeader // jQuery object, activated header
                ui.oldHeader // jQuery object, previous header
                ui.newContent // jQuery object, activated content
                ui.oldContent // jQuery object, previous content
                $('html, body').animate({scrollTop: $(ui.newHeader).offset().top}, 1);
    So now I need some help...
    Thx
    -Eric

    Hello,
    You can achieve this using the Anchors feature of Muse. Please follow the steps below :
    - Click on Anchor option in the toolbar as shown in the image :
    - Now click on the location on the webpage which you want to be the top of the page when click on Accordian panel triggers.
    - It will place the Anchor on that location. Now it will ask you to rename the anchor. Please rename the anchor to something convenient.
    - Now click on the first Accordian trigger and in the "Hyperlink" option in  the toolbar at the top, from the dropdown select the Anchor which you have added.
    - Do same for all the Accordian triggers.
    Now preview in a browser to see the results. Whenever you click on the Accordian trigger it will move to the location on the page where you have placed the anchor.
    Note : There is a known issue with the Anchors feature not working with Safari 6 (The latest version of Safari). It is a known bug and is likely to get fixed in future versions. You can test it using other Browsers.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Sachin

  • Reader window is shown on top of browser window

    I'm using Reader as OBJECT tag on HTML page to display PDF inside of my page. That works fine, however when I call Reader's print() method from page onload handler, I get empty Reader window shown on top of my browser window and only then Print dialog comes up. I wonder if there's a way to suppress Reader's window and only show Print dialog? Reader 7 didn't have this, it started with version 8.

  • Need help flushing background image to top of browser window

    OK, this may be a very common problem, I'm just an idiot. In
    Dreamweaver I have a background image in a centered div on the
    page. Can anyone help me get that div to the absolute top of that
    screen? I've already set the body tag to 'margin=0 padding=0' but I
    don't know what else to do. Now when I look at it it's fine on my
    pc but the mac is the one that displays the space....Help!

  • I have add-ons (Convert to PDF, Edit in Contribute, Post to Blog) that use small icons, yet take up 2 rows of space at the top of my browser window. How do I move these items to display on 1 row?

    ''Problem: too much blank space at the top of browser window.''
    • The Convert to PDF icon takes up 1 entire row (predominately blank) of horizontal space
    • Edit in Contribute, Post to Blog are listed on a separate row, taking up 1 additional row (predominately blank) of horizontal space
    They both use small icons and titles, .5" wide each, are flushed to the left, yet take up 2 rows of blank space at the top of my browser window. How do I move these items to display on 1 row?

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode (https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode) and choose the 'Reset toolbars and controls option'. This will get you back to the stock icon set which you can then customize to your liking

  • Aligning Flash movie in center of browser and flush to top

    I'm having trouble positioning my Flash movie where I want it in the browser window. I want it:
    * To be centered horizontally (easy enough), but also:
    * Flush to the top of the browser window, with 0 px between the movie and the top of the browser window
    I've been trying various combinations of single-cell tables, divs and CSS absolute & relative positioning, and can't find the right combination to achieve this positioning. The closest I can get is centered horizontally, and about a 5 px gap between the top of the browser window and the top of the movie -- it needs to be flush.
    My movie is 1000 px wide and 680 high. This is a simple diagram of what I'm trying to achieve:
    I'm not a coder by any means, so specific code examples would be helpful!
    Thanks,

    For your body tag in the html file try including these four parameters, they should reduce you to having no margin separating you from the very top of the page...
    <body topmargin="0" leftmargin="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0">
    If you have a CSS file for the page you could include it in there instead in the form...
    body {
    margin-left: 0px;
    margin-top: 0px;
    margin-right: 0px;
    margin-bottom: 0px;

  • How to add entire new row at the top of table in pdf report from c# windows forms using iTextSharp

    Hi for past 3 days i was thinking and breaking my head on how to add entire new at top table created in pdf report from c# windows forms with iTextSharp.
    First: I was able to create/export sql server data in form of table in pdf report from c# windows forms. Given below is the code in c#.
    using System;
    using System.Collections.Generic;
    using System.Configuration;
    using System.Text;
    using System.Data;
    using System.IO;
    using System.Data.SqlClient;
    using System.Windows.Forms;
    using iTextSharp.text;
    using iTextSharp.text.pdf;
    namespace DRRS_CSharp
    public partial class frmPDFTechnician : Form
    public frmPDFTechnician()
    InitializeComponent();
    private void btnExport_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    Document doc = new Document(PageSize.A4.Rotate());
    var writer= PdfWriter.GetInstance(doc, new FileStream("Technician22.pdf", FileMode.Create));
    doc.SetMargins(50, 50, 50, 50);
    doc.SetPageSize(new iTextSharp.text.Rectangle(iTextSharp.text.PageSize.LETTER.Width, iTextSharp.text.PageSize.LETTER.Height));
    doc.Open();
    PdfPTable table = new PdfPTable(7);
    table.TotalWidth=585f;
    table.LockedWidth = true;
    PdfPTable inner = new PdfPTable(1);
    inner.WidthPercentage = 115;
    PdfPCell celt=new PdfPCell(new Phrase(new Paragraph("Institute/Hospital:AIIMS,NEW DELHI",FontFactory.GetFont("Arial",14,iTextSharp.text.Font.BOLD,BaseColor.BLACK))));
    inner.AddCell(celt);
    Paragraph para = new Paragraph("DCS Clinical Report-Technician wise", FontFactory.GetFont("Arial", 14, iTextSharp.text.Font.BOLD, BaseColor.BLACK));
    para.Alignment = iTextSharp.text.Element.TITLE;
    iTextSharp.text.Image png = iTextSharp.text.Image.GetInstance("logo5.png");
    png.ScaleToFit(95f, 95f);
    png.Alignment = Element.ALIGN_RIGHT;
    SqlConnection conn=new SqlConnection("Data Source=NPD-4\\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=DRRS;Integrated Security=true");
    SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("Select t.technician_id,td.Technician_first_name,td.Technician_middle_name,td.Technician_last_name,t.technician_dob,t.technician_sex,td.technician_type from Techniciandetail td,Technician t where td.technician_id=t.technician_id and td.status=1", conn);
    conn.Open();
    SqlDataReader dr;
    dr = cmd.ExecuteReader();
    table.AddCell("ID");
    table.AddCell("First Name");
    table.AddCell("Middle Name");
    table.AddCell("Last Name");
    table.AddCell("DOB" );
    table.AddCell("Gender");
    table.AddCell("Designation");
    while (dr.Read())
    table.AddCell(dr[0].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[1].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[2].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[3].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[4].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[5].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[6].ToString());
    dr.Close();
    table.SpacingBefore = 15f;
    doc.Add(para);
    doc.Add(png);
    doc.Add(inner);
    doc.Add(table);
    doc.Close();
    The code executes well with no problem and get all datas from tables into table in PDF report from c# windows forms.
    But here is my problem how can i align Title(DCS Clinical Report-Technician wise) center of pdf report with image named:logo5.png immediately coming to it's right?.
    As the problem i am facing is my title or Header(DCS Clinical Report-Technician wise) is at top of my image named:logo5.png and not coming to it's center position of my image.
    Second the problem i am facing is how to add new entire row to top of existing table in pdf report from c# windows form using iTextSharp?.
    given in below is the row and it's data . So how do i add the given below row and it's data to my top my table in pdf report from c# windows forms using itextsharp?
    as you can see how i create my columns in table in pdf report and populate it with sql server data. Given the code below:
    Document doc = new Document(PageSize.A4.Rotate());
    var writer= PdfWriter.GetInstance(doc, new FileStream("Technician22.pdf", FileMode.Create));
    doc.SetMargins(50, 50, 50, 50);
    doc.SetPageSize(new iTextSharp.text.Rectangle(iTextSharp.text.PageSize.LETTER.Width, iTextSharp.text.PageSize.LETTER.Height));
    doc.Open();
    PdfPTable table = new PdfPTable(7);
    table.TotalWidth=585f;
    table.LockedWidth = true;
    Paragraph para = new Paragraph("DCS Clinical Report-Technician wise", FontFactory.GetFont("Arial", 14, iTextSharp.text.Font.BOLD, BaseColor.BLACK));
    para.Alignment = iTextSharp.text.Element.TITLE;
    iTextSharp.text.Image png = iTextSharp.text.Image.GetInstance("logo5.png");
    png.ScaleToFit(95f, 95f);
    png.Alignment = Element.ALIGN_RIGHT;
    SqlConnection conn=new SqlConnection("Data Source=NPD-4\\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=DRRS;Integrated Security=true");
    SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("Select t.technician_id,td.Technician_first_name,td.Technician_middle_name,td.Technician_last_name,t.technician_dob,t.technician_sex,td.technician_type from Techniciandetail td,Technician t where td.technician_id=t.technician_id and td.status=1", conn);
    conn.Open();
    SqlDataReader dr;
    dr = cmd.ExecuteReader();
    table.AddCell("ID");
    table.AddCell("First Name");
    table.AddCell("Middle Name");
    table.AddCell("Last Name");
    table.AddCell("DOB" );
    table.AddCell("Gender");
    table.AddCell("Designation");
    while (dr.Read())
    table.AddCell(dr[0].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[1].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[2].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[3].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[4].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[5].ToString());
    table.AddCell(dr[6].ToString());
    dr.Close();
    table.SpacingBefore = 15f;
    doc.Add(para);
    doc.Add(png);
    doc.Add(table);
    doc.Close();
    So my question is how to make my column headers in bold?
    So these are my questions.
    1. how can i align Title(DCS Clinical Report-Technician wise) center of pdf report with image named:logo5.png immediately coming to it's right?.
    2. how do i add the given below row and it's data to my top my table in pdf report from c# windows forms using itextsharp?
    3.how to make my column headers in bold?
    I know that i have to do some modifications to my code but i dont know how to do it. Can anyone help me please.
    Any help or guidance in solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    This itextsharp is third party control, for this issue, I recommended to consult the control provider directly, I think they can give more precise troubleshooting.

  • Pop-up Menu is aligned with the top of the window in IE7

    Using Fireworks MX I created a pop-up menu on an image I
    would like to put within a table not in the top of the window.
    If I view the page with Firefox, the menu is aligned with the
    image, but if I use IE7 the pop-up menu is aligned with the top of
    the window, far from the image.
    Can anyone help me to fix this problem, please?
    Thank you

    You'll need to place the menu in its final position in
    Fireworks, and
    then build your page around it in Dreamweaver. A better
    option would be
    to build the menu yourself from scratch. You can learn how to
    do that here:

  • How do I get back the File Edit View History Bookmarks Yahoo! Tools Help that used to be at the top of the browser window above the taps

    how do I get back the "File Edit View History Bookmarks Yahoo! Tools Help" line of text that I could click on for options that used to be at the top of the browser window above the taps

    I did that (I think I did) however the confusion is that I get only part of the menu and not the most important menu items like "file" "edit" etc. with all the drop downs. It is so freaky - my other computers have no problem like this and I and show the menu bar or not just like you described. I really doubt anyone really understands my problem with it. I took some screen shots of the good computer version and the bad one so someone can "see" exactly what I am seeing. This may be a one of a kind gremlin issue, LOL. Anyway, without those menu items, I am very limited on the usefulness of FireFox on that computer so I have to rely more on Chrome for those features and use the FireFox with Billeo and other tools that still work. Someday it may magically fix itself, LOL.
    Of the two images, one is the good computer and the other is the bad. The bad one shows the only way to see the menu items however they disappear after I am done with the custom menu and no other time can I get the items to "appear" it is like they are there but cannot get them to show when in the normal menu bar mode.

  • Faux column background not aligned in smaller browser window...

    I'm working on a three-column webpage.  I'm using fixed-width columns, with the left and right columns floated (started with a dreamweaver layout).  I am also using a background applied to the <body> tag to apply the faux column look, so that the side column backgrounds flow all the way down the page.
    My layout is a total of 780px wide, but the background image I'm using is 2000px wide.  It's the same image that was used in the previous version of the website, and I can only guess that the image is that wide to "fill" the extra space around the main content when the browser window is wider than 780px.  Because the image is so wide, I have it styled to center on the page.  When my browser window >= 780px wide, everything looks great... the faux columns line up perfectly with the divs.  However, when I make the window less than 780px, things get messy.
    My layout elements stay where they are, meaning that the left edge of the container stays aligned with the left edge of the screen and a scroll bar appears at the bottom.  However, since my background is set to center itself, it continues to try to center itself in the browser window.  Basically, the content is not centered in the browser window, but the background is, causing the faux columns to not line up with the divs.  The relevant CSS I have applied is:
    body  {
        font: 100% Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
        margin: 0;
        padding: 0;
        text-align: center;
        font-size: 12px;
        color: #666666;
        background-repeat: repeat-y;
        background-position: center;
        background-image: url(../img/BG-gray.gif);
    #container {
        width: 780px;
        margin: 0 auto;
        text-align: left; /* this overrides the text-align: center on the body element. */
    Note: everything within the container div stays where it should relative to the container, so I didn't include the CSS for them, though I can post it up later if you really need to see it.
    Is there a way to keep everything lined up in a smaller browser window? Or, would it be better to trim down the background image to the same width as the container?
    Sorry for the long message, but I'm new at this.  Please don't eat me.

    Same problem, only worse.  That causes the background to show from the very left edge of the image.  All my text is in the gray area in the example below.  Let me try to clarify...
    The background image is something like this (colors are for clarity):
    (filler)
    Left faux column
    Main content goes here. This is always in the center of the browser window.
    Right faux column
    (filler)
    Where the combined width of the blue, white, and red sections is 780px.  This is what I want my layout to line up with, the blue and red columns being the faux left and right columns, respectively.  The gray areas are "filler" that colors the excess width in browser windows that are wider than the fixed width of the main content.  With the background set to centered, the white stripe is always centered in the browser window.  As long as the window is wider than my layout, the layout is centered in the browser window as well.
    I'm looking for a way to either center the background relative to the layout container, not the browser window, or to keep the layout container centered in the browser window when the window is narrower than the layout.
