All of a sudden LR won't render larger preview.

Today after using LR sucessfully for some time it won't render larger previews, in the library mode, of images in my catalog which were downloaded by another computer. The images turn extreemly blurry and will not come out of it. I restarted windows vista and optimized LR. Any suggestions?

The images will have a ? on the badge when they're offline and you're looking in grid mode. Are they offline?
If so, and you bring them back on, you can create 1:1 previews, but won't be able to edit.

All of a sudden Photoshop won't start [on a Macbook Air]

Dear all,
I'm on a MacBook Air with OS X 10.10.2, and I use Photoshop about once a month, but now I really need it, and it won't start:
- Immediately after I click on the Photoshop icon I get "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 cannot be opened because of a problem." And when I click on the "Report..." button I get a very technical message (see below).
- I've used Photoshop on this machine for about a year with no problem, but recently I had a problem and needed to restore from my TimeMachine backup.
- I don't know if the problem occurred immediately after the restore or not.
- I've read innumerable threads on various forums, but nothing describes my problem exactly. I suspect a problem with my paths and permissions (since I read a report that restoring from a TimeMachine causes such problems occasionally), but I don't know which path is corrupted/missing/unreadable.
- I've tried creating a new admin account and starting Photoshop from there. It didn't work.
- I don't mind reinstalling, but I don't have an installer image. I started with Photoshop 6, then updated to CS2, CS4 and eventually CS5. I do have all the serial numbers but not all update-images.
I would appreciate any hints on how to further diagnose and some the problem.

Did tou try resetting the preferences usins the Photoshop keys as your tryind to start Photoshop. Toy cab also use Windows explored or Mac finder deleteor rename you userid Photoshop preferende if you change you OS preferences to be able to see hiddeb files and folders. My iPod was working just fine but all of a sudden it won't connect to iTunes?

I've done everything I can think of! I system restored my computer, I reinstalled iTunes and even repaired it like two times, I've even installed an older version of iTunes. In the older version of iTunes it at least registers that I've connected my iPod to it... except it says "songs cannot be added to the iPod "%1$S" because all of its space has been reserved for data." And something about a FireWire and "You must connect using FireWire to restore the iPod ~^FILENAME"."
I've even ran multiple diagnostics scans through iTunes on the connectivity issue and this is what I've gotten each time:

All of a sudden, iMovie won't mute the sound of my cut away clips, even when the volume is at 0%, the sound still plays.

It's iMovie '09, I already tried quitting the application and restarting my computer, and neither worked.

I have a fix - or rather, a workaround.
WARNING: It is lengthy, but still far better than starting a new project from scratch.
I had this same issue and none of my transitions/clips were at custom speeds, nor did I have anything else weird going on. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do within iMovie to fix this, at least there wasn't for me. iMovie is BY FAR the buggiest software I have ever used and if you haven't already spent hours slaving away on a project, you are so much better off using just about anything else to edit your video.
...But let's assume you have already spent many hours working on your project and you don't want to start all over. Well then, you have at least one option.
It's a pain in the neck, but it's infinitely better than restarting your project from scratch.
This will require:
A software called Soundflower (which is free) and some kind of audio editing software (I use Logic, but really any should work).
1.) You're going to need to export your video with the messed up audio. Typically if you're audio is messing up, you're video is at least usually working just fine (at least it always does for me).
2.) You're going to need to open that video in your audio software and import only the audio. If your software doesn't give you this option, then you're going to need to record the audio from your video using the audio software and Soundflower. You can find tutorials on how to do this, but it's honestly pretty straightforward once you start playing around with you Mac's audio I/O settings. Remember to have your computer's volume all the way up when doing this.
3.) Watch/listen to your video and make notes of where the audio errors occur. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND writing down times too, as they will be extremely helpful later.
4.) Now were going to rip some working audio from the iMovie project itself. Go back into your iMovie project and only play back audio while in the edit window for this step. Do NOT play your project back in full screen.
This part is key: if you try to play back your project from the beginning the audio will usually still mess up. So, what you're gonna have to do is go back on your edit window timeline right before these errors occur and play that specific clip back while recording this working audio with Soundflower and your audio software. Essentially we're only recording the parts of the audio where these errors occur, so try to do this in order if you can. Try to leave several seconds of audio in before the error - that way we can use it as reference when we construct our new audio track.
5.) Now in your audio software you should have your original error-filled audio track and the new clips that we just captured. This part can be painstaking if you're not familiar with audio editing softwares, but as you'll learn, it's really not that hard.
You're going to look at your original audio track and compare it to your new working audio clips. You should be able to notice where those new clips are supposed to go by looking at the identical (or close to identical) waveform shapes in your original audio track. The two should correspond with one another. If you don't understand what I mean right now, you will when you start playing around with the audio. This is why marking times is very important.
Take your new clips and split them up if you haven't already, that way you can drag them around and edit them separately from one another. Essentially your going to line these new clips up with original and then replace the original parts with new ones.
We need to get this as precise as possible, so start off by getting them as close as you can with your naked eye, and then use a zoom tool to zoom in as much as possible so that you can get them lined up PERFECTLY, or at least extremely close. In some softwares you can just drag these new clips on top of the old track, but most of the time you will need to actually cut out the old piece and replace it with the new one. In doing this, zoom in and make sure that you are NOT cutting out a bigger space than your new clip will fill - otherwise you will have small gaps in your audio.
VERY IMPORTANT: Also make sure that this new audio track starts at the EXACT SAME time as your original - otherwise your new audio will be out of sync.
I know this part can really suck if you're not used to audio editing, but at this point, there is little other choice.
6.) Once you are done with this, export your newly pieced together audio track.
7.) Now open iMovie and create a NEW project. Re-import the video that you exported earlier that has the messed up audio. This might take a while, so just be patient.
8.) Then right click the clip and select "Detach Audio". This will do just that - allowing you to edit the audio separately from the video. Now delete this audio.
9.) Now, import the new, perfect audio track that we just made and make sure that it starts at the start of the project. Make sure it's in sync and that everything works.
Now just export your new video with the working audio and you should be done. Since we have given iMovie the audio with no editing actually being done in iMovie, it does not have to generate its own audio now and you should have absolutely no errors now - unless there is some that you forgot to take out earlier.
YOU'RE FINALLY DONE!!!
I know this entire process *****, but if you're that far into your project, there is little else that you can do. Now you've learned your lesson:
DON'T USE IMOVIE EVER AGAIN.

All of a sudden it won't open any websites, but Explorer works, so why doesn't Firefox? I hate Explorer, I want my Firfox to work. I tried to re-download it but I suck at all this ......

In other words, it was working fine, then it would not launch any more sites. I tried Explorer and it works, so I know it's not the overall internet connection, just the Firefox piece. I am worried that I accidentally clicked on something to block it, but I can't find anything like that to change the settings on. I use Windows. All of a sudden FCE4 won't export!

Hard drive can't be seen all of a sudden?

I am still on a G5 Dual 2gig and I have a Maxtor One Touch which is a terabyte drive. All of a sudden it won't come up on the desktop. But when I check About this mac I see it listed. At first I thought it was the power supply but ruled that out. Then I tried the firewire connection but that doesn't seem to be the problem as I have another external drive running through the firewire connection on the back. So I bought a usb cable and it's the same as firewire in that you can see it in About this mac but cannot get it to come up on the desktop. I have also tried to get it to show up in Disk Utility but no can do. It lights up as if nothing is wrong and I can feel what I believe is the disk moving in it but no show. I also unplugged it for an evening completely. Normally I would just get another drive but got lots of stuff on there I need. And yes I did back things up but it's been awhile and I've done a lot of changes since then so anybody got ideas or have a work around? Thank you ahead of your answers. Camera photos taken in photo booth are all of a sudden very dark

I was taking photos of myself on my macbook pro and all of a sudden all images the built in camera picks up are too dark. How do I fix this? I don't know what happened it just did it all of a sudden and won't go back to normal.

Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

Hi all. Been a looong time since I posted but I'm back with a serious dilemma. I'm working on a short film with a deadline that's coming at me fast and furious. I just picked up an updated version of the .omf file and all of a sudden it won't load without logic quitting on me. What's going on? My Logic beahavior has seemed a little off but not noticibly disfunctional lately. do I need to toss my prefs? How do I do this if so? I'm always worried I'll delete something I can't recover...
I think that's about it. Let me know if I need to clarify the situation. This all worked fine a couple weeks ago. I'm using the powerbook 15" template video for NTSC. I'm clueless now and really need help. THANKS!

Randomly, my site all of a sudden can't connect to server

I have been updating a site for years, and have never had any probs connecting to the server from Dreamweaver but now get this error message attached in the image.
Their site is not down, I can login to control panel ok, there have been no changes to the site username passwords etc and it all of a sudden just won't work,
