All Report Manager Report Name

Hi All,
Report manager has more than 5000 reports. I want to check which all reports are active and which all reports are inactive.
From catalog table I can see report name but if it will be run once also in report manager then only it will show report name in catalog.
Is there any table available on Report Server database from where we can see which all reports are available on Report Manager?
Thanks & Regards,
Khushi

Hi Khushi,
Based on my research, I find that the general properties of all the items (including Date Sources, Datasets and reports) on the Report Manager are stored in the Catalog table in ReportServer database. And it stores the current data refer to the Report Manager.
If we have modify something (upload or delete some documents) on the Report Manager, it takes a synchronous update on the table. So the table is in sync with Report Manager.
Different value in the Type column represent different type in the Report Manager. The type=2 represents Reports in the Report Manger. If we want to select all reports name in Report Manager, we can use the query below:
use ReportServer
select Name
from dbo.Catalog
where dbo.Catalog.Type=2
If there are any misunderstanding, please elaborate the issue for further investigation.
Thanks,
Katherine Xiong

  • Query Builder List of Report Names & their corresponding Folder Names

    HI there,
I have in excess of 6000 reports deployed in my Crystal system.
I need to pull 2 sets of data:
    1. I need a list of all report names & their corresponding folder names
    2. I need a list of all report names & their corresponding folder names where:
           a) The destination for the schedule is set to Email
           b) The 'to" field contains any email addresses with the value @fcl.internal in them
Grateful for any assistance you can provide.
    Many thanks....Corinne

This is a challenge that will require multiple queries or an application using the the SDK.
To get the folder where a report is located, you'll need to query CI_INFOOBJECTS where SI_ID = the PARENT_ID value in the report.  To get the entire path, you'll have to "walk" up the PARENT_ID values until the value is 0, which is the root folder.
I'm not sure whether you can get to the SchedulingInfo properties in the report to filter based on your second requirement - I'm working on an application to pull this information in my "copious" spare time, but I haven't had the opportunity to get into that part of the application yet.
For some samples of code using the .NET SDK to do various thing, see my website at [www.dellstinnett.com/sample_code.html].  Code for walking the folder path is in the BOECommonInfo assembly.

  • How to list all reports in Infoview

We have over 2,000 reports avaiable in Infoview. We can see the reports via the CMC.... and we would like to export that list to Excel or at least get a list of all reports available in InfoView on paper.
Ideally, it would be nice to know the last time run and who ran the report as well.
Is there a method to list all reports or a SQL query that can be run to show all report names?
    Thanks!

Sorry to say I don't know anything about the Query Builder, but will do some research on that and the Auditor.
And though I appreciate the suggestion of VBA and Excel. I am not familar with VBA/Excel to pull this one off. -nor could I tell which one on that page you are referring to as the link goes to the BOB and does not narrow down what in that forum works.
I am surprised this task is not so straightforward and requires Excel and VBA.
    thanks again.

  • Editing the Query name for all reports in PRD.

    Dear All,
I have created 25 reports using Query Designer. We have moved all the reports to BI Production. And Clients are using these reports using the Tool Bex Analyser.
Every time they are navigating through open Query -> Info Areas -> Data targets and Query.
Instead of going this way, is there any other way to Open a query easily.
And they wants to modify the Report name and the Technical name for all the reports. Can we able to edit the Query name for all reports, or do i need to go for SAVE AS for all querys.
    Pls Suggest.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
    1. For the first question; if it user specific query then ask the users to save them at the FAVORITES so that there is no need to go to the dataprovider specific.
Or they can create the reports as favorites user menu screen of that particular user.
    2. In order to change the technical name and description of the queries goto RSZC t-code> give the source and target infoprovider as same> select queries>click on the reports>click on transfer selections-->
Then you get a screen to change the description and technical name.
But this is pertained to Infoprovider level.
You can see all the reports on the infoprovider (cube/ods).
    Hope you understood.

  • Discoverer Report Names

    Discoverer Report Naming
Our service Provider has created lot many reports for us and now theres a need for a generic naming to be followed for the Discoverer reports. Could someone tell me how difficult it would be to rename all the reports?
As I could see, theres a dataitem for the Discoverer Report names, I would imagine the report names are somewhere stored in the database as values in a DB table. So if the name of the report is stored in the database in a table , then it is simpler enough to change the value of the column. It would be more of a find and replace command in SQL.But I'm not sure whether this would have an impact on the actual Report name! for our service provider is telling us that they need to open every report in Discovere to rename and store it. Then they need to delete the other report- which I doubt as I'm not sure !
Also I would like to know where and how the names of the Discoverer Reports are saved in the database?
    Kindly advice.Many thanks

    Hi,
You can inform to your SP to edit the table EUL4_documents
and ask him to modify the name of the report that is stored in the column DOC_NAME .There is absolutely no necessary to open the work book that is stored in the database and change the work book name

  • Checkboxes in BI Publisher not showing up for all reports

    Hi everyone,
I followed the instructions (uploading fonts, checking the checkbox font property e.t.c) for displaying checkboxes (without the diamond shape) in my BI Publisher reports. It worked for 1 report and still does. Unfortunately the new reports I have uploaded still display the diamond shape. I find this very odd even though followed exactly the same process for all of my reports.
Is there a way to make sure that checkboxes display properly for all reports? Could there be a mistake I have made and that I am missing out on. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Have you set the properties as per
    http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2007/05/wherere_my_checkboxes.html
    especially
    1. The font location, we need to tell the publisher engine where the Wingdings font is located:
    <font family="Wingdings" style="normal" weight="normal">
    <truetype path="c:\windows\fonts\wingding.ttf"/>
    </font>
    2. The glyphs to be used. Here we specify the font family name ie 'Wingdings' and the 253/254 glyphs
    <property name="rtf-checkbox-glyph">Wingdings;253;254</property>
Do ensure that you use the same glyph character codes defined in ur config and RTF

  • Logic to select Report name based on User's input.

    Hi Guru's
    Good Morning!
I have a requirement to create a XMLPUBLISHER Report Whihc is Called as ITEM COUNT SUMMARY + ITEM COUNT DETAIL REPORT Following below
    are my ParameterS
    0.REPORT NAME
    1.ORG
    2.ORG COUNTRY
    3.ITEM SELECTION
    4.ORDER TYPE
    5.STATUS
    6.RECEIPT DATE FROM
    7.RECEIPT DATE TO
    8.TRANSIT DAYS
REPORT NAME: PARAMETER WILL LET THE USER to select the requrired Reports to be run.
ORG: is the Names of the SHIP FROM ORG
ORG COUNTRY: is a Dependent Parameter based on the ORG (i.e When a SHIP FROM ORG is Selected the ORG CHOICE Should have the CHoices for the selected ORG and when Nothing Selected from that ORG it should run for every ORG COUNTRY in that SHIP FROM ORG Currently we have two ORG COUNTRY PER SHIP FROM ORG say(USA, CANADA)
ITEM SELECTION: We need to Run this Report based on Item Selection ( The Logic should handle a total item selection whihc are comma seperated for upto 29
    items)
ORDER TYPE : Types of Order Again this can be a List of Comma Seperated Values for order Types
STATUS: STatus should be Comma Seperated (ENTERED,WAVED,NOTWAVED,SHIPPED)
    TRANSIT DAYS: Transit Days
RECEIPT DATE FROM: This is the Starting DATe range for the REport to be run
RECEIPT DATE TO: This is the END DATe range for the REport to be run.
The ITEM COUNT SUMMARY Report should allow the users to run the report 3 ways
1.ITEM COUNT RUN BY ORDER TYPE ( for all the STATUS)
2.ITME COUNT RUN BY STATUS ( FOR all the ORDER TYPES)
3.ITEM COUNT RUN BY TRANSIT DAYS

When the USer selects ITEM COUNT SUMMARY BY ORDER TYPE I want "BY_ORDERTYPE" to be Executed and so on..
Is there a Way That I can Write in my Data definition file as
DECODE(:REPORT_NAME ,'ITEM COUNT SUMMARY BY ORDERTYPE', Run query for BY_ORDERTYPE,
,'ITEM COUNT SUMMARY BY STATUS', Run query for BY_STATUS,
    ,'ITEM COUNT SUMMARY BY TRANSIT DAYS', Run query for BY_TRANSITDAYS,run query for DETAIL REPORT);
Also My Item Description Contains Special Characters like Registered Symbol, Copyright Symbol How would I force my XML Parser to Still consider them as TEXT's
May I Directly Specify <?xdofx:DECODE :REPORT_NAME = 'ITEM COUNT SUMMARY BY ORDERTYPE' THEN BY_ORDERTYPE ?> in the DATA DEFINITION file , I think this is only allowed in RTF please Help,
    Thanks

    Thanks for the Reply sir,
When you say Write the Code, you are referring to the Package is that correct, unfortunately I am not implementing this via PL/SQL Package.
you mentioned that I can Implement the Logic in the Data definition file( which is a XML file), how and Where I have print use that IF construct (or) Can you Please Print the Code snippet in the Model XML template that i have pasted in my Post.
May i know what is this

  • How to use Submit in background when report name is not static

    Hi all,
I have an FM to which report name is being sent as an input parameter.
So based on the report name I need to call that particular report in background and send the output as a HTML format to dealer's MAIL ID which is also sent as an input param.
The logic for sending mail in background is achieved.
I am using the followinf logic to submit the job.
    SUBMIT wf_report USER user_id VIA JOB lv_jobname NUMBER lv_jobcount
        to sap-spool immediately ' '
                         without spool dynpro
        WITH SELECTION-TABLE tb_seltab AND RETURN.
wf_report holds the dynamic value of report.
Here, tb_seltab holds various parameters and select-option values.Since I cannot pass a table to JOB_SUBMIT fm i had to use the SUBMIT statement.
But the program dumps coz we need to explicitly mention the name of the program in the submit statement.
Is there any other possibility to acheive this req when the report name is not going to be hardcoded?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Chandra.

You forgot the basics of using the SUBMIT.
try like this it will work
    SUBMIT (wf_report ) USER user_id VIA JOB lv_jobname NUMBER lv_jobcount
    to sap-spool immediately ' '
    without spool dynpro
    WITH SELECTION-TABLE tb_seltab AND RETURN.

  • Scheduled report name

    Hi,
We have made a custom report for UCCX8.5, which we'd like to schedule. This report can only show the details of one CSQ, by selecting a CSQ filter. Because of this we'll need to schedule a new task for every CSQ. Here the issue arises: when I look at the scheduled reports overview, all reports have the same name: The name of the report. This makes it impossible to see which scheduled report is which. So it'll be really hard to delete or add one later.
Is there a way to change the name of the scheduled report task?
    Regards,
    Ruud van Strijp

This is one of a few scheduler-related limitations of the HRC. Another is that the machine running the client must be running and actively logged in for the system tray-based (i.e. not a windows service) scheduler app to trigger.
My advise on this one is to upgrade to the latest 9.0 build where you can switch from the legacy HRC client to the new Unified Intelligence Center (CUIC) reporting engine. This is a browser-based UI and was ported over from UCCE so now both products have the same reporting engine. As luck would have it, you can name the schedule when you create it with CUIC:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/intelligence_suite/intelligence_suite_902/user/guide/CUIC_BK_R4B100EB_00_reporting-app-user-guide-902_chapter_01000.html
With that said, you'll have to redo your custom report by spinning up a lab instance of CUIC Premium (not bundled with CCX) so you can create the report definition. Once you have that, you can import it into the embedded CUIC Standard instance on CCX and be good to go. The SQL stored procedure process remains unchanged.
In case you're inclined to dismiss this advice, note that HRC is EoL. In 9.0 you can pick one or the other but it's gone entirely in 10.0; CUIC only. So, it's only a matter of time before you have to cross this bridge anyways.

    Hi,
Thanks a lot. I am really new to the Discoverer Arena. We are currently using EUL5. Can you please direct me to the correct product to be installed and how will I actually get all the related worksheets for a specific workbook. Currently I have access to EUL5 tables. Is it what you are referring to? However using the EUL5 schema tables I cannot get the related worksheets of a particular workbook.
Would be really helpful if you could tell me in detail to solve this? I am somewhat confused heaps of Oracle products. Any other takers welcome

when using "&" in report and folder titles we had issues with report books not being able to run and also the report name would be incorrectly described.
try to avoid if possible, there is a lower risk if using on an all windows enviroment (clients and servers) but if you have *nix OS it does introduce complexity.
