Altering pages based on the condition

Hi all,
In a smartform there is a requirement like in the main window, if a variable satisfies some condition then it is required to print the table in the next page other wise it need to be displayed in the first page itself.
can any one of you help me regarding this. ie; how to specify it to be printed in first page or secondpage

Hi Deepthi,
A small technically incorrect term was used in the previous post.
That is explicit break-point; actually it is explicit page-break.
What happens "When you create explicit page-break as: Right click on Template-->Create->Flow Logic -->Command" is as soon as the condition is satisfied the next content will be printed on the next page (as specified).
So if your variable satisfies some condition then you can put a explicit page-break to print the table in the next page.

    Searching for a solution, I found a Logical Database for sales orders, that have all the information that you need.
    Using like reference the post of Bhagavatula, in the same transaction SQVI you can use, instead of the suggested join, you can select a logical database called VAV in Data source.
    This logical database links the tables, VBAK, VBAP, VBUK and KONV that is the central point of the question.
    You can list the information of logical database using the transaction SLDB.
    In 'Logical Database' inform VAV.
    Press F8 to list all the fields.

  • Inserting new columns based on the condition!

    Hi guys,
    I have a very simple query like the following… 
    SELECT table2.column_code2,
    table2.column_description2,
                 table2.column_code1,
                 table1.column_description1
    FROM database_001.table2 table1 LFET OUTER JOIN database_001.table2 table1 on (table2.column_code1 = table1.column_code1)
    From this query, its returning me a result set of something like below:
    column_code1       column_description1        column_code2                 column_description2
    RO1                              BOOK                              RL1            
                               PDF/ECOPY
    RO2                              PAPER                             RL2            
                            CONFERENCE
    RO5                            JOURNAL 
    RL11  OTHER
    Now, on the above query I want to insert three extra columns with the name (status, location and contact) where the results in the extra three columns would be based on the conditions I want to define in the query based on the above results…
    Something for example (sorry, I am not trying to write a condition: my question is how to write it), 
    if column_code1 = RO1 and column_description2  =  PDF/ECOPY on status column it should return a value ‘ONLINE’ & on location column it should return ‘WEB’ and on contact column it should write ‘BOB’.
    Also,
    if column_code1 = RO5 and column_description1 = JOURNAL on status column it should return a value ‘ON PRESS FOR PRINT’ & on location column it should return ‘S.R STREET, LONDON’ and on contact column it should write

    like if i select marketing from lov and press save button then it will branch me to marketing page...
    so how can i achieve that in my apex application

    in the page branch, change the page to *&PX_LOV_NAME.*
    change X to page number and the LOV_NAME to the name of your select list
    Don't forget to add the . on the end

  • Print Adobe form pages on different printers based on the condition

    Hi All,
    I am new in Adobe forms. We have requirement to print first 5 line items in adobe form (which are printing on first page) on one printer and remaining pages on another printer.
    What solution I was thinking was, in print program call the adobe form twice with flag as a importing parameter. For the first call the flag value will be set and for second run a blank value will be passed in flag.
    If flag is set then call make the first page "visible" and if flag is cleared then "hide" the first page and make the remaining pages "visible".
    But as its an item data which is designed on "Design" view I am not able to write a script to hide the page. Any suggestion you can give to resolve this issue.

    If it is OK to have the default printer defined/maintained in the user master (like tcode Su01 or System > User profile > Own data, Then the standard logic may suit your needs. I think you will need to undo some config for the whs. Te standard logic works as detailed below. the system needs to get to #4 below, then the SAP userid printer will be selected.
    the system proceeds with automatic printer determination as described below Config Tcode is OMLV.
    1) First the system checks whether a printer is set in the configuration "Printer-Movement". If so, the printer determination is complete at  this point.                                                         
    2) If not, the system uses the parameter "PriSrcTyp" defined in the configuration "Printer-Movement" to decide how it will proceed.  If the parameter is set here, the system checks if a printer is defined in the setting "Printer Picking Area" and then proposes this printer.                                                            
    3) If the system finds no printer, it searches in the setting "Printer - Storage Type" and uses this, if a printer is set.                   
    4) If the system cannot find a printer using the methods described above it selects the printer defined in the user master of the user currently logged on.                                                
    5) If no printer is defined here, the system automatically proposes LP01
    This writes the data to the spool file.

  • Two LOVs in same UIX page based on the same table

    Hi group,
    Recently I ran into a problem with a UIX page that has two LOVs based on the same database table. In Emp and Job terminology, here's what I tried to do.
    Suppose we have use the Employees and Jobs tables from the HR scheme with one small modification. Add a column called PREFERRED_JOB_ID of type VARCHAR2(10) which is exactly the same as JOB_ID. Hypothetically speaking, this column will be used to allow Employees to select their preferred job in case they want to change their jobs.
    Next, create business components in JDeveloper based on the Employees and Jobs table. In order to be able to generate the LOVs for Job and PreferredJob create two ViewObjects, one called JobsLookupView and one called PreferredJobsLookupView. These both need to be based upon the same Jobs EntityObject. Also include the Jobs EntityObject twice in the EmployeesView ViewObject and give one the alias PreferredJobs. Include the JobTitle attributes of Jobs and PreferredJobs in EmployeesView so they can contain the JobTitles selected in our future LOVs.
    Next create a ViewController project if it's not already there and enable JHeadstart on it. Create an Application Structure File and create the lookups for the two LOVs. When I run the application I see this happening:
    When I click the flashlight icon next to the PreferredJob LOV and select a job, the PreferredJob field is selected in the UIX page but no job title appears. When I next first select the Job LOV and select a new job and then select the PreferredJob LOV again and select a different job, the job that was selected in the Job LOV is now also entered in the PreferredJob field. When I make sure the PreferredJob field isn't required (remove the required="yes" property on the messageLovInput entry for PreferredJobTitle and remove the PreferredJobTitle field from the addRequiredRowItems list in the UIX page) I can save the changes I made in the Employees.uix page. The same JobId is stored in the database for Job and PreferredJob.
    This behaviour is probably due to cacheing issues because both LOVs and the EmployeesView ViewObject use one EntityObject for four values in three ViewObjects.
    So I then modified my model a bit. I created a new EntityObject called PreferredJobs based on the JOBS table. I modified the EmployeesView ViewObject to use this EntityObject for the PreferredJobTitle attribute and modified the PreferredJobsLookupView to use this EntityObject.
    I needed to modify a few things as well in the Application Structure File (which were prompts and whether or not the attribute should be visible in a table) and after regenerating I made sure the PreferredJob attribute isn't required in the UIX page. When I then run the application again, I never see the JobTitle I select in any LOV allthough the PreferredJob field is selected when I select a Job in the PreferredJob LOV. The correct JobId now is stored in the database though.
    Has anyone ever encoutered this behaviour? Would anyone know how to get two LOVs based on the same table in one UIX page?

    OK I figured it out. When I added the second Lookup ViewObject (PreferredJobs) no additional Association was created. Therefore, ADF BC wasn't able to figure out which field to update. When I added the Association between the PreferredJobs Lookup ViewObject and the Employees ViewObject everything started working ok.
    I then recreated my inital situation: one EntityObject for Jobs and one for Employees, now with two Associations between them. After modifying the Employees ViewObject and making sure the Jobs EntityObject was referred twice and via the corresponding Association, everything started working ok.

    I am working on a project in which I would like to display the top 5 most accessed pieces of content as links, based on the user that is logged in. Our MOSS 2007 implementation has subsites for all regions that we do business in, as an example North, South, East, and West. When a user visits the North region homepage, I would like a web part to display:
    Hello, <username>, here is a listing of your most accessed content:
    Link to One
    Link to Two
    Link to Three
    Link to Four
    Link to Five
    So each user would get a customized list based on their content access. We are not using my sites, but these would not work as we want the list to display on the home page of the region site.
    I am thinking that a data view may work here, but I am not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I want to display certain records in crystal based on some condition.
    For example,
    If I am having 5 student records like,
    Name  Mark1 Mark2 Mark3 Total
    aaa      40       50       60      150
    abc      30       60       40       130
    tcr        25      25        25       75
    Now in table i have only 4 fields (STUNAME, MARK1, MARK2, MARK3).
    I have to calculate the total at runtime and if total is greater than 150, then actual record should display in report.
    For example, I can use formula to calculate total but I can calculate total only after each record prints. But i want to calculate total internally only it should display in report if condition satisfies. I dont want to keep one more field for total in crystal report.
    Please help me on this.

    If the filter is not "pushed" down to the database, then Crystal will pull all of the data into memory and then filter it there.  This is not a big deal if you only have a couple of records, but it can significantly slow down a report that is pulling in more than a few records.
    An alternative, if your report is just linking tables in the Database Expert, would be to create a SQL Expression that adds the three fields together.  Using this in the Select Expert WILL push the condition down to the database.
    If you're using a command instead of linking table, they you would add this to the Where clause of the comment.  If you're using a stored proc instead of tables or a command, you would want to do this filter in the code for the stored proc.

    So after the attribute setting you need to put in the flag character. To do this, you will need to put the opening and closing if statements in separate form fields and then put the flag character between them.

    Bear in mind that the flag character may come from a special font e.g. wingdings. In which case you will need to ensure that font is on the server - check the docs. Or you can conditionally show an embedded image in the same way.

  • Disable a field in a Table layout based on the condition

    In the seeded page, there is a table layout region with viewobject name as View1. It has 3 fields displayed as Field A, Field B, Field C with multiple rows displayed when the page opens. Fields B and C are MessageTextInputs and Field A is MessageChoice. So in the displayed rows in the table, if the value selected in the Field A is "Bonus" then the fields B and C needs to be disabled so that the user should not be able to enter any information. So if there are 5 rows in that table, only 1 or 2 rows might have the value "Bonus" in the field A and only for those rows, fields B and C needs to be disabled.
    I would appreciate if anyone can provide me with a logic. I know how to disable a field based on the value of other field but in this case here, its a table region with multiple rows and only few of them needs to be disabled. I couldn't think of any logic here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    You mean you only want to see the password field if you add a new user, and after the user is stored you won't display the field again?
    Do you use the same page (or fragment) to add or edit the user? Or do you use different pages (or fragments) for this purpose?
    Anyway if you can somehow distinguish between add and edit you can use the visible property of the field (or column) and set it to true or false via an EL.

  • How to change users' initial page based on a condition

    I'm using SSO on my application, and have two types of users who will be logging on - I want one set (admins) to go straight to one page, and the other set (users) to go to a another page after logging in. These two sets of users are stored in the database, so I can want to use that to check against.
    I get the impression this would be easy enough if my users went via the 101-login page, but as I'm using SSO I don't think they do. I can change the default starting page, with the home link setting in the application's security attributes, but you can only set one of those.
    I don't mind having it all default to one page, and then redirect away from that if the username meets a particular condition, but can't see how I can do that.
    Can anyone suggest how I can work this to achieve what I need?

    First I would create a HOME_PAGE application item. Then I would create an application computation on new instance that sets that item accordingly. something like this:
