Alternatives to loading .properties files for every request

I am just starting for a company, and they loading a bunch of .properties files for every request. I've told them that according to JEE specs, using the file system like that is a violation, as it's not scalable. I've suggested the following alternatives:
1. Load a file once, in a static initializer, or something to that effect. Re-start the app if a change needs to be made in properties.

-: requires a new war/ear to make a change
2. Put properties that are truly variable in a database record.
-: requires DB schema change.
3. For instance, i've though about using something like jconsole to change an mbean property, and then web apps using that property.
4. Define a single web app that exposes an EJB/JMS/RMI object which serves properties to other web apps. If a change is needed, only 1 web app needs to be re-started, although it would still have to be re-packaged. Perhaps this app could load this stuff from the DB.
5. Have a properties service, and expose it as an RMI object. If a change needs to be made on the fly, use rmi to make the updates.
I'm leaning towards a combination of 1, 5, and possibly 4.
I would like to know what other alternatives might be available.

want to be happen that ??? No you don't . You read the file once. You store it in the hashmap. Then you hand that hashmap to whatever class needing the data.
getProperties() returns the hashmap, doesn't read the file.
Maybe I should have called the method getMap or something.

Specify filter for every request except one

Can a in me web.xml file specify that a filter should be used for every request except one.
I can write;
<filter-mapping>
<filter-name>MyFilter</filter-name>
<url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
</filter-mapping>
to use it on every request. But how do I exclude one specific resource that shouldn't go though the filter.
I know that this may not be exactly the right forum but i'm really lost. I appreciate all suggestion.

This is the right forum, but unforutanetly you cannot exclude some urls.
I would suggest you handle that logic in the filter itself.

WSAD : loading properties file from EBJ project

Hi,
I am trying to load properties file contains database parameters into my EJB project. I am using WSAD as IDE tool
can you please help me with following.
1. where to place the .properties file physically ?
2.how to load the file to my EJB/DAO classes
3.can i use the same location to place log4j.properties file as well ?

I am trying to create a web application that uses AD LDS as its authentication provider. I have followed all the steps and verified all the web.config files, but I receive the error below:

There seems to be some issues in your web.config files. Please make sure your Web application entries for membership and role provider(at central admin site) are matching with Web.config entries. your error
"Cannot get Membership Provider with name CustomRoleProvider.
", indicating that you may have used role provider name in Membership provider text box or in web.config.
Also please make sure that you have correct entries in all 3 web.config files - Central Administration , Security Token Service (STS), Web application .

Error when creating files for transport request SAPK-700BGINPLMWUI

Hello experts,
We're upgrading our 46c System to ERP 6.0 EHP4.
In Phase EHP_INCLUSION we get the following error Message: Disassembling package queue failed, rc = "2", reason = "Error when creating files for transport request SAPK-700BGINPLMWUI"
We've already checked the SAINT version; Upgrade Fix, SAPCAR version. We've checked our TMS as well and everything seems O.K.
Any help would be really appreciated!!!

Please Check the things in following sequence :
1.Use latest SAPehpi, R3trans and tp versions.
2. users/group authorization issue and/or ownersip limitations (set 777) .Reboot the server to make sure, that the authorisations are updated and there is no lock on a file in the EHPI dir.Repeat the phase.
Folders where permissions should be 777 are Upgrade directory, Data Directory, Cofile directory and .../EPS/in.
3. Source file corruption can be ruled out by execution
R3trans -l /usr/sap/<SID>/..../abap/data/R-700BGINPLMWUI.SAP (The data file corresponding to the Package which is giving error). Check if this ends fine.

4. Confirm that your transport tool is 'healthy' by testing it in STMS. In SPAM in client 000 use the function Disassemble package and enter the package <Package name>.
5. Try to update the kernel if it not helps.

FCC is file content conversion. If your sender communication channel is file and the file is any fixed length or with any separator then you can use this option in your file sender communication channel.

Exchange profile error: dbconnect.prop: failed to load properties file .\dbconnect.properties

All,
We are using PO 7.4 with SP5, and we have an issue while accessing URL Exchange profile page (http://<host:port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/com.sap.xi.exprofui/XIProfileApp) it throw's the below error.
dbconnect.prop: failed to load properties file .\dbconnect.properties

Though below note is not applicable to you, i would suggest you to check if the destination is created by the configuration wizard? If not you can create one and see if it helps.
Create Java RFC destination XI_EXCHANGE_PROFILE manually: Navigate to http://[host]:[port]/nwa --> Configuration --> Infrastructure --> Destinations. Create the RFC Destination with PILDUSER as logon user.

Failed to load configuration file for the workflow

There are two of us who have full control on our Sharepoint 2013 site. I'm able to create workflows and publish them fine. The other user is able to create workflows, but he gets an error when trying to run them. I tried opening his workflow and got
the error "Failed to load configuration file for the workflow."
Any ideas?

Based on your description, I recommend to verify the things below:
Clear the SharePoint Designer cache and then open the workflow.
Ask the user to open the workflow in SharePoint Designer and check if the workflow contains error.
Ask the user to create the same workflow and associated with another list to see how it works.
Check the ULS log for more detailed error message.
To reproduce this issue, could you please provide the detailed steps in the workflow for further research?

Fail to load properties file

I can't load properties file. Please help!
my setting is listed as follows:
My properties file "kpggc.properties" is stored in the path : W:\kpggc\KPGGCWorkspace\KPGGCProject\src\hkpost\kpggc\client\resources
I have already add the above path into the classpath and my application is a standalone application. I use the following codes to load the "kpggc.properties" file:

there is a way. u need not give the complete path of ur file.
include the path of the properties file in ur classpath.
in ur code, do the following:
(inputStream and properties are declared before this code.)
inputStream = ClassLoader.getSystemResourceAsStream(fileName);
properties.load(inputStream);

Where can i find .properties file for jco connection?

For jco connection to SAP, we need .properties file. Is this file already contained in Exchange Profile or somewhere??
If yes, where can i find .properties file for jco connection or what is the path to this file?
OR, do we have to create manually??

We also had same requirement where we need to show indian local language(Hindi ,Bengali and many more ).
We had implemented following approach and perhaps it will helpful for you.
1-First we changed the encoding value in jdeveloper.
go to jdeveloper --> tools --->preference-->encoding , select to UTF8
2-We used to get the properties and it's translated value from business and then we were manually put these pair into related resource bundle.
And using this we were able to implemented multilanguage support.

Client handler is invoking for every request.

i am new to JAXWS welogic.
i have a web consumer/client, while sending the request from client the handler is invoking for every request. I could not able to restrict.
i would like to intialize only once and need to use that instance like (init() method initialization). How to resolve this issue.
can anyone come across a solution for JAX-WS in general? Please throw your thoughts here.

Two common reasons for this are:
(1) Problem with the system clock: date, time, or time zone differs substantially from the rest of the internet
(2) Firefox not set up to work with your security software that filters your web traffic

Do you use any software with that kind of feature? On Windows, products with that feature include avast! 2015, Bitdefender, ESET, and Kaspersky.

No it doesn't. Albums simply reference the photos in the Library. A single shot can be in 100 albus and use no extra disk space at all.
If you have the same shot in two Events then yes, the file is duplicated.

The Finder doesn't really understand the iPhoto Library. It's quite possible for the iPhoto Library to contain many files with the same name. The Library also contains different versions of the same shot - thumbnail, originals and edited version. This is normal.
