ALV Grid Layout problem

I have define a form layout on the first screen (ALV) of my program then the program call another screen, the same layout is applied to the new screen 0200 (ALV). I don't want the same layout been applied to the new screen. What is my problem?

Your problem can be solved by the following ways,
For example : you have 2 screens , screen 200 and screen 201 .
1)Go to T code SE51 , for 1st screen number 200. you create/drag a custom container as per your desired size.
2) For the same program now for the second screen 201 , you create/drag a custom container as per second screen requirement ,it should not same like 1st screen size (To see the difference between 1st and 2nd screens).
With this you can solve your problem

ALV Grid Layouts - Setting them user-specific

Hi everybody -
I am using the ALV grid layout for a report using function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY. There are a number of fields that are not immediately viewed on screen - they are in hide mode within the field catalog. We want to allow the users to add them / remove them from the report using an ALV variant.
I can allow the users to add/remove with a layout variant no problem - but I am having an issue allowing them to save the variant that they are using to view the data, as user-specific. For whatever reason, they are only allowed to save their layout variants as global - the "User-specific" box is grayed out.
Does anyone know how I can get the "User Specific" box to be NOT grayed out within an ALV grid?

The client requierment is "GL line items and summary sheet will be listed in separate pages."

ALV grid Refresh problem

hi,
I have 2 views, input and output these two included in a MAIN views.
when user key in their input values in INPUT view and the search results will be displayed in OUTPUT view using ALV grid.
the problem i'm facing here is, when user changes search criteria once after search results displayed.. it is not displaying with new search results. every time i have to give F5(Refresh) it is certainly not comfortable to deliver it as it is.
i have tried same scenario with simple query in our local server.. where it is working very well.
i really clueless what would be the cause.. is there any with SAP patch issues.
i have tried with refresh method of ALV component.
please help me out of this, i cannot use TABLE control every time to avoid this.

Could you please let us know how you are filling the context node which is mapped to ALV table?
After the search criteria is changed, if you are doing it inside handler of the button or something like that, it should work.
Refer to the tutorial in the following link which shows an example similar to your scenario:

please post the code also which you are using to fill the node in case if you still face the issue after referring to the above tutorial.

ALV GRID DISPLAY -Problem with Layout

I'm using ALV GRID DISPLAY. I ran the program and in the output i created a layout Test1.Later i created a layout Test2. Now when i run the report, when i select layout Test1, the display is not as selected for the layout. but when i manualy select the layout throu change layout-->Test1, the display is working good. Can someone tell me what the problem can be?

in the FM have you filled the structure IS_VARIANT.
is_variant-report = sy-repid.
is_variant-variant = <variant name>.

Problem with ALV GRID layout

I have to show an ALV grid with checkbox as first column.
This checkbox is based on internal table condition may be enabled or disabled, other columns are disabled.
I used the structure 'ZMESD' where i decleared that checkbox field.
I called function module:

Alv grid layout as default.

In an alv grid you can personalize the layout (Change layout, save layout). Is it possible to somehow add this saved layout to the report so that it will be shown as the defaylt layout for eveyone that runs the report?

I solved the problem as you suggested in the first example. This has worked great but now i need to set different layouts depending of what the user chooses. This i have not solved yet.
Is there anything else that I need to do except create the layouts with those names /Y23HPAREsum and Y23HPAREind as you se in the code below?

How to download only some fields(dynamically) from alv grid layouts

I have ALV grid list.
I have layouts for selecting sets of fields dynamically.
If I select a particular layout, I want to download only those fields into an Excel sheet.
If I select another layout, I want to download only fields of that layout , into an Excel sheet.
Can u plz write examples.

How to use Style in LVC_S_LAYO (ALV Grid Layout)

Hi Experts,
I am trying to set field 'STYLEFNAME' of LVC_S_LAYO while setting up layout for ALV GRID using 'SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY' . I'm passing the field name contain the styles for each row. I am setting it in the same way we set 'INFO_FNAME' by passing color field name for coloring the rows. Styles are available in include <CL_ALV_CONTROL> .
Please note styles are working properly when I am setting it at field cat level by setting fieldcat field LVC_S_FCAT-STYLE. But set sets style for entire column. I want to set style for few rows. I want to use style 'ALV_STYLE_BUTTON' .
Please advice how to do this.

You have a 'new-style' alv and want to show some fields as pushbutton.
To make a cell to be displayed as a pushbutton, we have two steps.
Firstly, insert a new inner table of type u201CLVC_T_STYLu201D into your list data table.

Fluid grid layout problem

I am trying to create a fluid grid layout. In fact it is why I purchased Dreamweaver CS6. Problem is after I create the first div which I named header it works fine. However, on inserting the next div Dreamweaver inserts the following text in my index.html:

I suspected the respond.min.js file was causing the problem so I downloaded an update but it didn't help. At this point I am not able to use this feature of Dreamweaver. Any help will be appreciated.

I was trying to follow the example in a book I have called Dreamweaver CS6 – The Missing Manual. When I got to the section discussing Fluid Grid Layout, I attempted to follow the example step by step. I was able to insert the first div which I named header. I looked at my css file and it had placed the #header.
I knew that I had to remain within the container div. I went into the code view and placed the cursor to the right of the header div. I then clicked the insert Fluid Grid Layout Div Tag button. That’s when it automatically inserted all of the code I indicated in my post.
I then started to follow the example in http://www.adobe.com/inspire/2012/08/fluid-grid-layouts-dreamweaver-cs6.html . I got the same results.
I’m beginning to wonder if there is an error in the Dreamweaver software itself.
Any help you can give will be appreciated.

ALV grid refresh problem when I return from list-processing

hi,
I have made alv grid with f4 help features and i'm using row select feature.
When i click on a button in Application toolbar, the program leaves to list processing and then return to alv gridscreen.
Now the problem arises.
(1)Even if i select rows and press F8, the program does not identify the rows selected and does not give me desired output.
(2)Also, when i press F4, the selected value does not appear in the text field.
Both the cases are working fine, if i dont press button and go to list processing.
Please help!!

This helps to get the data in the internal table refreshed as well as that on the screen so that both are in sync.
this is generally used on some event, you can also use it otherwise.

ALV Grid Transaction Problem

Hi,
I have created an alv grid in a basic program which runs fine.
But when I try to create a transaction for this program I run into problems. What type of transaction should I create? I have tried dialog and selection screen transaction but for some reason when I run these transaction codes the alv grid does not contain the content I am looking for from internal table. Where as when I run the program directly, there is not any problems at all.

Program and selection screen (report transaction).

ALV GRID Control Problem

I am facing problem in it , if i click on any record it will display me the output , but when i click on any other report it is still
displaying me the 1st record output.

i've a problem:
i call the ALV GRID , after, i double click on a record calling an other screen......
when i back to the alv i want to keep selected the record that before i had clicked.
All this keeping the refresh active.
Is it possible???
'cause when i back the alv is on the first paga with the first record on the top.
Without refresh i have the record selected ma the table is not re-generated.

if i make a double click on a record on ALV grid calling an other screen, when i move back to alv
the record i have selected in the last page of ALV is not selected and the alv is on the first page.
I want that alv remain on the record that i have selected with double click.

ALV Grid downloading problem

I got problem while downloading ALV GRID ouput to any local file. The output contains two records. but while downloading no records will be downloaded. only field headings are downloaded. What is the problem.

I would suggest you add an additional button to the ALV grid toolbar. When the user clicks on this button you call in your event handler method for USER_COMMAND the method CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>GUI_DOWNLOAD with the entire itab.
Or
Set the NO_OUT as 'X' in your fieldcatalog for the particular field.
