ALV Grid Report using OOPS
Hi Friends,
I have to develop the ALV Grid report using the Classes ie OOPS, as i am new to OOPS and know little bit of ALV, so it will be little bit tough to develop the object so plz try to solve my query. I'm sending the Functional specs:
The program should display the list of Purchase orders and Purchase requisitions created for specified materials. The output should be displayed in form of ALV grid. There should be separate ALV Grid for Purchase order and Purchase requisition list. The user should also have an option to save various ALV layouts and should be able to choose the ALV layout on the selection screen.The user should be able to navigate to the relevant document form the ALV grid. (Use hyperlink).
The output must appear in the same screen.
Selection screen fields
Material Number
Creation date (For both, PR and PO)
Output fields
List one
Po Number
Po Item number
Vendor
Date
Material Number
Material Quantity
List two
PR Number
Material Number

Problem in displaying Alv grid output using oops........
hi,
i have two problems in displaying ALV grid output Using Oops.
1) How to modify the fieldcatalog after we getting a field catalog using general FM.
2) initialy it is displaying 13 fields but there are 63 fields .
eventhough we chage the layout to 63 fields it is displaying only 13 fields , these 13 fields may be different based on our selection but count of displayed fileds are same . how can display 63 fields at a time .Hi,
You can chnage using below code:
loop at gt_fieldcat.
if <gt_fieldcat-field_name> = 'FIELDNAME'.
endif.
modify gt_fieldcat.
clear gt_fieldcat.
endloop.
Make sure that all the field should not have no_out = 'X' and tech = 'X'.

Interactive ALV list Report Using OOPS
Hi Experts!!
I would like create secondary list using ABAP OPPS (Events).
Anybody can give me idea how to do that .
On clicking of perticurar row + column. Secondary list should be displayed.
Please do not suggest ALV Grid.
I know how to do it with ALV Grid using Events.

My requirement is to display an ALV Grid with data in a subscreen which is called in tab strip.
Could you please help me the code of how actaully i can call th ALV in the tab.
I want to display one field in editable and remaining 4 fields in display mode.
Does any one had faced the same issue.This is standard program cloning object.

Satish Rajuwhat is the question? Callin grid in subscreen is the same as in other screen. Create PBO module for creating the grid, PAI to evaluate comands.

Time out error in production server for alv grid report
hi. i have developed alv grid report using nested select statments. when i testing in development server it is giving the output but in production server if i give 4 months then it is showing time out error.please help me out..its urgent.

Don't use Nested selected statements.
Use the Following Performance Tuning Options that i have given below so that your problem can be solved.
1) Always check the driver internal tables is not empty, while using FOR ALL ENTRIES
2) Avoid for all entries in JOINS
3) Try to avoid joins and use FOR ALL ENTRIES.
4) Try to restrict the joins to 1 level only ie only for tables

Beginner ALV Grid question (using OO) "Possible Values" doesn't do anything
Hi,
I have a working ALV Grid report using the 'CL_CALV_TABLE' class, and FACTORY DISPLAY method.
Standard Functions are working, got single-click events programmed to drill-down into documents, key columns, etc.
So the report output seems fine.
<i>However, some columns / cells have a "possible values" icon, but when selected nothing happens. And some columns have the icon, for example, Material, Co.Code, but then others don't. </i>
I've looked at example report SALV_DEMO_TABLE_COLUMNS and SALV_TEST_FUNCTIONS, but I can't see any specific code in there that controls this.
<u>Would appreciate it if anyone can confirm:</u>
a) what triggers the icon to appear for some columns/cells but not others? Is it the TYPE of the table column?
b) is any coding needed for the "Possible values" window to popup?

Colwidth_optimize not working for alv grid report

I have developed an ALV grid report using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'. The field catalog field columns are having the heading size more than 30 characters. So, to optimize the size of the headings, I am using SLIS_LAYOUT_ALV and passing the value 'X' to colwidth_optimize.
but still the column heading is not getting fully display. Rather it is display first 20 characters only.

I have a simple ALV Grid Report(OOPS), I would like to give a Text for Total Row. In REUSE_ALV_GRID we have the option of giving this text, but i am not able to figure it out how to get the same in OOPS.

While using ALV with OOP methodology, you can create an extra row for giving the sum of any field.
In the field catalog, there is a component named 'DO_SUM', if set, will give the total value for the field.
In the method where you fill the field catalog , just add this component.

Functionality of Checkbox in ALV Grid Report
Hi Experts,
I created a ALV grid report with the checkbox as my first coloum and other fields as shown below. Initially, my ALV report displays as below. It is working fine till here.

I have created a push button on application toolbar for creating sales order and delivery using bapi's. When I click on my pushbutton, as of now it creates the SO and delivery for the first customer C1 and updates my Internal table with the sales order number and delivery number. If I need to create sales order for the second customer I need to run my ALV report again and so on for 3rd, 4th and 5th customers. It is also working fine till here.

I have created an alv report using class cl_gui_alv_grid.I got another report in the same screen,when double clicked on basic list(using double_click event).I want to get this report in another screen.What i have to do?(In classical reports i worked with sy-lsind = 1 ,but how to do here?)

now within screen 900 PBO.. you will have to prepare the fieldcatalog/layout.. and the table to be displayed there.
in PAI of screen 9000, you can return to the original ALV.

Run-time error while executing alv grid report
Hi everyone
I m trying to run a alv grid report it is giving a run time error while executing the statement CALL METHOD V_ALV->SET_TOOLBAR_INTERACTIVE.
Actually i added 2 buttons in the toolbar.after that when i execute the report i m getting errors.

Seems you have not initialised ( Instantiated in OO ) the object and / or the parent container.
Check if you have create object for both the parent as well as the alv object.
So when you instatntiate the object of ALV you pass the object ( instantiated before hand ) in the parent container position.
Also you would have to register the events to the object using method. Then only the buttons will finction.
