ALV Grid Single Row Selection Only

Hi,
I have a requirement to select a single row in an ALV grid using class
I tried with   layout-sel_mode   = 'B'  its not working, and don't want to use
  call method g_grid->get_selected_rows
    importing
      et_row_no = lt_row_no.
and check for number of rows and giving error message " select only one row".
Is there any other way to tackle this issue
Thanks
aRs

Hi,
DATA:
* Internal table for indexes of selected rows
gi_index_rows TYPE lvc_t_row,
* Information about 1 row
g_selected_row LIKE lvc_s_row.
  CALL METHOD go_grid->get_selected_rows
    IMPORTING
      et_index_rows = gi_index_rows.
  DESCRIBE TABLE gi_index_rows LINES l_lines.
Here the L_Lines will contain the number of rows selected

  • ALV Grid multiple row selection, disabling some

    Does anyone know if it is possible to have an ALV grid with multiple row selection allowed but for some rows the row selection is disabled?
    Kind regards,
    John.

    Hi John,
    You can add a check box and select multiple rows. I am using the same technique. I have used OO.
    a) Use Even handler "Double Click"
    b)Using "SELECT_ALL_ENTRIES  CHANGING PT_OUTTAB TYPE STANDARD TABLE" and I am sorting based Check box selection.
    Need more help please let me know. I will send you the code.

  • Single row select in ALV Grid

    HI,
    I want to make my ALV Grid only single row select enabled, can some one guide me which variable should be set for the same.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Harsh

    If you are using OO for alv then
      call method grid1->get_selected_rows
        importing
          et_index_rows = i_sel_alvrows[].
      call method cl_gui_cfw=>flush.
      describe table i_sel_alvrows lines v_dbcnt.
      if i_sel_alvrows[] is initial.
    * Info message : Please select a row
        message i176.                        " Please select a row'.
      endif.
      if v_dbcnt gt 1.
    * Info message : Multiple Row Selection not  possible
        message i177.                        " Multiple Row Selection not
        " possible'
      endif.
    or if your using REUSE then
    form user_command using p_ucomm type sy-ucomm
                         rs_selfield type  slis_selfield.
    " Check the rs_selfield-tabindex value here
    " you may get some clue here
    endform.

  • Interactive report with single row select

    Hi,
    Is it possible to create an interactive report that has a single row select column i.e. you can only select one row and when you select another row it deselects any row selected before, simular to a list of values but with the functionionality of an IR report.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Try adding this to the query of your report:
    select ...
           apex_item.radiogroup(1, some_unique_column) sel
    from ...You didn't say how you want to use this, but when the page is submitted the array apex_application.g_f01 may contain either none or exactly one element, which will be the some_unique_column value of the selected row.

    Hi,
    Once user selects multiple rows and press another button for further execution, you can modify your internal table with marked rows using selection column.
    You need to add user command code in your ALV grid call. Please refer below code.
    CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
          EXPORTING
            I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM       = SY-REPID
            I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET = 'F_GUI_STATUS'
            I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND  = 'F_USERCOMMAND'
            I_GRID_TITLE             = TEXT-026
            IS_LAYOUT                = WA_LAYOUT
            IT_FIELDCAT              = I_FIELDCAT
          TABLES
            T_OUTTAB                 = I_OUTTAB
          EXCEPTIONS
            PROGRAM_ERROR            = 1
            OTHERS                   = 2.
        IF SY-SUBRC NE 0.
          MESSAGE S475 DISPLAY LIKE 'E'.
          LEAVE LIST-PROCESSING.
        ENDIF.
    *- User command for details display.
        PERFORM F_USERCOMMAND USING I_UCOMM
                                    I_SELFIELD.
    FORM F_USERCOMMAND USING FP_R_UCOMM LIKE SY-UCOMM
                             FP_SELFIELD TYPE SLIS_SELFIELD.
    IF L_V_REF_GRID IS INITIAL.
        CALL FUNCTION 'GET_GLOBALS_FROM_SLVC_FULLSCR'
          IMPORTING
            E_GRID = L_V_REF_GRID.
      ENDIF.
      IF NOT L_V_REF_GRID IS INITIAL.
        CALL METHOD L_V_REF_GRID->CHECK_CHANGED_DATA.
      ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.
    You can then read your final internal table as below and take the selected records in another internal table.
    LOOP AT I_OUTTAB ASSIGNING <FS_OUTTAB> WHERE SEL EQ 'X'.
            APPEND <FS_OUTTAB> TO I_CHECK.
          ENDLOOP.

  • ALV - how to make selectable only some rows on an ALV?

    Hi my problem is:
    I have an ALV GRID as output of a report.
    I have to make selectable only few rows based on the contents of a field (showed in a column in the ALV).
    Is it possible?
    Best Regards, Vincenzo

    I did understand, but as i told you there is nothing like that, neither an option nor an event to capture.
    Here is the documentation: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/EN/bf/3bd1369f2d280ee10000009b38f889/frameset.htm

    I assume the first column contains the standard selection field of the ALV grid.
    To enable the proper method of seletion, you need to pass the appropriate SEL_MODE in the your layout structure:
    SEL_MODE is either SPACE, A, B, C or D.
    Google for ALV grid PDF and you'll find some documentation on ALV grids in general.

  • ALV Grid with rows sticked together

    Hi,
    Is there any chance to get two <b>rows</b> of an ALV grid sticked together.
    This means if the user selects the first row, the second one is automatically selected too. On the other hand, selecting the second row should select the first too.
    This also applies if the users deletes one of the two rows.
    Using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY btw. and grouping is not useful in this case.
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Hello,
    I am not sure if that could be done dynamically however what can be done is when he selects some row and tries to process an event you can check whether the other row is ticked and then pop up a message asking the user the other row will also be selected does he want to proceed with his event of deletion.
    So for eg..
    *Function Call for ALV List Display
      CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY'
           EXPORTING
                i_callback_program       = v_repid
                i_callback_pf_status_set = 'F_PF_ALV_100'
                i_callback_user_command  = 'F_USER_COMMAND_2A'
                it_fieldcat              = i_fieldcat[]
                i_save                   = 'A'
           TABLES
                t_outtab                 = i_inci
           EXCEPTIONS
                program_error            = 1
                OTHERS                   = 2.
      IF sy-subrc <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
            WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
      ENDIF.
    and then in the call back user command routine
    FORM f_user_command_2a USING wa_ucomm TYPE sy-ucomm
                                 wa_selfield TYPE slis_selfield.
      CASE wa_ucomm.
        WHEN 'DELETE'.
    pop up a dialog box and notify this line will also be selected and delete do you want to proceed... yes delete both lines no... deselect the earlier line... i hope you are using a checkbox in alv...

  • Multiple Hotspots in a ALV Grid single column

    Hi Experts,
    My ALV Grid report output looks like below....
    If you observe below output, column 3 has multiple documents each one separated by ' ; '. Now, I would like to assign hotspot on each documents like DOC1, DOC2, DOC3, etc.
    Heading#:          COL1 | COL2 | COL3 |
    Records1:              1      |  xxxxx  | _DOC1_ ; DOC2 ; *DOC3*
    Records2:              2      |  xxxxx  | _DOC1_ ; DOC5 ;
    I know, we can assign hotspot for entire column. but my requirement is multiple hot spots in a single column.
    Please help me on this?
    Thanks in Advance
    Raghu

    As I mentioned earlier,
    My ALV Grid report output looks like below....
    Heading#: FIELD1 | FIELD2 | FIELD3 |
    Records1: 1 | xxxxx | DOC1 ; DOC2 ; DOC3
    Records2: 2 | xxxxx | DOC1 ; DOC5 ;
    If you observe above output, field 3 has multiple documents each one separated by ' ; '.
    When I click on DOC1, it supposed to display related picture on the POP-Up Screen. Similarly when I click on DOC2, it supposed to display that document picture on POP-up screen.
    Before going to do this, first I need to assign hotspots on each documents like DOC1, DOC2, DOC3, etc.

  • ALV Grid Insert Line - Dumps only on certain computers

    We have some ALV Grids in our program. Every time i open one my computer the first cell is marked, so the insert line function just adds another line. But on an other computer, the frist cell is somehow not marked, which leads to a dump on inserting a line, cause the return parameter for the row_idx is not filled. First i thought it's the user, but it isn't.
    So i guess that the GUI might be at fault, how could i determin the differences? Or is there a setting for that?

    Hello Robert
    When you open the SAP LogonPad then you find a symbol in the left upper corner. Click on it (left mouse) and choose function "About SAP Logon..." (Über SAP Logon...).
    Then you see the exact version, build and patch-level of your SAP-GUI.

    If all else fails, you can write your select-options manually in the header.  Something like this.

  • ALV Grid display from selection screen

    Hi,
    i have a requirement wherein ..if the user checks a checkbox download as file. and then executes the report.. the report has to be downloaded and also displayed simultaneously...if i use GUI_DOWNLOAD ..i dont get the header , the column names etc..what shud i do.

    Hi,
    While downloading file, u wont get the header part, u have to append the header part before the data. Then u pass the final output table with header to the function module.
    So that it will read the first line that will be header and then remaning data.
    U can create an internal table.
    TYPES: begin of ty_itab ,
    name(4) TYPE c,
    ***(3)  Type c,
    end of ty_itab.
    DATA: i_itab type standard table of ty_itab,
         w_itab type ty_itab.
    Then do as below.
    w_itab-name = 'NAME'.
    w_itab-***  = '***'.
    APPEND w_itab to i_output_final.
    i_output[] = i_output_final.
    APPEND i_output_final.
    Now pass this final table to the functionmodule, so it is now with header.

    Hello,
    Try this:
    DATA:gs_layout type lvc_s_layo.
    gs_layout-NO_ROWMARK = 'X'.
    call method g_grid->set_table_for_first_display
           exporting is_layout             = gs_layout
