ALV List drag and drop..

Hi
In Cj20n open an existing project.
I am currently trying to drag and drop a WBS element.
I pick a WBS from the template and try to drop over  the Project then try to replace and Include that WBS from template into the project opened.
During this time the system should accept only if source and destination Project types are same other wise it should give an error message out.
Has any one worked on similar thing on ALV List drag and drop...
Actually there are no User Exits or Badi's for this.
Let me know if any OSS Notes ...
Your Inputs will be of great help.
Thanks a lot.

this is how sap works, it does not check coherence at the abap side, and it's only when the true call is made at the frontend what we see the issue. The only way to find the bug is to check all values of the internal table (try to test a simple tree first, and increase complexity step after step, until you find what is incorrect). One of the errors I made in the past was the way I defined the folders, I forgot to define ISFOLDER = 'X', and that used to trigger this error.

  • Possible List Drag and Drop bug

    Hi all,
    I am using a spark.components.List that I wish the user to be able to reorder by dragging and dropping. Therefore I have dragEnabled,dropEnabled and dragMoveEnabled all set to true.
    I have a custom item renderer that has two states ('default' and 'notDefault' for the sake of argument) that the list uses. The currentState of the item renderer is determined by the data it is given.
    When items are moved around they do get reordered correctly, however if I have an item in the 'notDefault' state and drag it somewhere it ends up rendered in the 'default' state after dragging, even if the data it is displaying requires the 'notDefault' state. What is more frustrating is that the item renderer reports its currentState as 'notDefault' even though it is showing 'default'.
    The difference between the two states is that there is a VGroup with controls in it excluded from the 'default' state, and therefore if these are displayed before dragging (ie we are in the 'notDefault' state) they are consequently not displayed after dragging.
    Anybody have any ideas?

    Might be a bug.  File a bug or post a simple test case.

  • SAPGUI scripting recording cause alv component drag and drop not work

    Hi all:
       after I started recording, and the drap and drop behavior of ALV tree component not work at once,
      any body has any idea or workround?
    Thanks
    Michael

    This problem has been asked in a couple of threads without any response.
    Similar to other folks, I have a page with a list orders. The list of the orders is displayed using the new basic Table component. User goes to a certain page. Then the user clicks the detail button column to lookup details of the order. When the user closes the details page he/she obviously needs to return to the same.
    Each time the user clicks the details button I get the current first row number, let's call it currentFirst, by using tableRowGroup1.getFirst() and save it in the session bean.
    When I return to the list of the order page, I am trying to use the suggested method tableRowGroup1.setFirst(currentFirst). I am using this method in the prerender() method. The problem is that when Creator displays the page the first time, the tableRowGroup1 does not seem to be bound to the respective provider yet. All attributes of the tableRowGroup1are equal either to zero or null. Therefore, as the debugger shows, tableRowGroup1.setFirst(currentFirst) does affect anything. Binding happens after the prerender method and I don't see anyway to intervene. Creator always displays the first page of the table on return from previous web page.
    I was also trying to set provider's cursor. I've checked in the debugger that I've set the cursor to the required row, but Creator still displays the first page of the table on return from previous web page.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

  • Drag and drop ALV to table control

    Hi all,
    Does anyone know if it is possible to program the drag-and-drop functionality from an ALV list to a table control? I would like to have this feature to let the user enter data on 1 screen. On the left part the user sees an ALV list and on the right the user sees the online transaction. I would like the user to enter data simply by drag and drop instead of having to enter the data.
    Does someone has a sample program for this?
    Regards,
    Kris

    Hi Kris
    I can download the programs and send them to you, but you should give me your e-mail.
    Anyway you can use Drag and Drop if you build your table control by ALV, i.e. ALV GRID.
    But I'm using 4.7 and I don't know how class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID is in your release, I believe the release 4.6B is one of first release whit this class.

  • There is absolutely NO way to drag and drop newly purchased music from the Purchased list on the phone into my iTunes library?  I'm finding it hard to believe that something so simple cannot be done!

    I like to make MP3 CD's when I have people over, or when my friends have people over so I can just pop them into the CD player and let them play all night without having to worry about changing the CD or anything.  Well, Apple's music is in AAC format, so I have to convert the songs to MP3 files using the converter in iTunes.  So I'll convert them to MP3's and just delete the AAC file so I don't have doubles.  The problem is, the next time I plug the phone into my laptop to transfer new purchases, iTunes thinks that the songs I converted aren't there anymore because the phone has them as AAC files, and iTunes has them as MP3 files, so it doubles the music again...EVERY time!!  It's very frustrating!  So this is why instead of clicking Transfer Purchases, I would like to be able to just drag and drop the songs I want from the Purchased list on the phone into my iTunes library.  I hope I explained this right...lol.  Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like I'm able to do that.  I'm hoping maybe somebody here can help me out and give me some pointers on what to do about this.  Thanks!!

    That stinks!  I can actually do that at my house...I just plug my iPhone right into the wire that's plugged into my receiver in my living room...but some of my friends aren't "technology savvy"...lol...so they just have DVD players and I'll put the CD in there because it will read an MP3 disc.  What's funny, is I have the phone set to "Manually Manage Music", and when I plugged it into the laptop just now, the one song I downloaded last night on the phone, transferred over to the iTunesl library.  That NEVER happens.  And it only transferred the one song...it didn't double the other songs like it ususally does.  I swear, iTunes does what it wants, when it wants sometimes...lol.  Thank you for your quick response.

  • Drag and Drop to Change Order in a List

    Does anyone know of an example where there is the ability to drag and drop elements in a list and thus change their order? (I.E. drag item one below item two and then item one and two change locations)
    Thanks!

    Check out http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/misc/dnd.html
    There's an example towards the end of the page for drag-and-drop between 2 JLists. Might be a good starting point.

  • Outlook email drag and drop to sharepoint task list

    We are using using Outlook 2007 (Soon to be switching to 2010) and Sharepoint Server 2010.
    We want to allow email drag and dropping which is accomplished through the folder list view.  However when doing this this it does not take the attachment.
    My question is, is this possible or do we need to develop an add-on for outlook?
    Thanks

    Neither be it SharePoint 2010 or SharePoint 2007, you can not do it without developing an add-on or writing additional code. Depending on your complexity of SharePoint, it is relatively easy to build an add-on if you only want to drag and drop Outlook email
    to SharePoint folder.
    SharePoint Outlook Integration add on is one of such tool which is functioning well if you have a small number of mails to transfer to SharePoint, but if you drag larger number of Outlook emails to SharePoint, it is quick slow to finish the whole process.
    Good luck.

  • Drag and Drop in List View

    When in the List view in Finder, I would like to drag and drop a folder in Terminal to cd to that path. However, it does not appear that List view allows dragging and dropping at all even to copy files within Finder. Is it by design? I like List view because it allows me to see the tree view of folders like in Windows Explorer. Thanks.

    Works here. I've never had any issue selecting anything in list view (the only one I ever use in Finder windows) and dragging & dropping into a Terminal window and getting its path. Create a new admin user account, log into it, and see if the behavior persists.

  • TS2972 Cannot drag and drop to play list

    Hi!
    I have my music library on a NAS server, it is now connected in Itunes (firefly svn-1696...)
    but i cannot drag music files to any playlists..... ???
    I have enabled Sharing in my home.
    Any ideas why I cannot put music into my play lists ??
    Another thing, for some reason Itunes cannot display any of the "other" file lists
    (album list, net, coverflow)
    Best regards
    Poul Visby

    Hi Poul,
    do you use the samba access to your music files? Or do you use a iTunes Server feature provided by your nas?
    Using the iTunes Server feature of the nas i have experienced similar results with my Thecus nas. Thats why I use a network-share to contain my music files and host my iTunes direcory (with all the playlists and stuff) locally. Then i drag and dropped the music files from the network share into my iTunes and there I can manage my play lists. Pay attention to uncheck the "Copy files to the iTunes Music folder when adding to library," in the iTunes Preferences otherwise it will duplicate your music...
    Hope this helps.

  • Drag and Drop in ALV

    Hi All,
    I have the latest version configured. In the ALV, I have new feature to drag and drop the column
    in the ALV table so that it's position can be changed.
    Because of this my columns settings are getting disturbed.
    How to disable this feature.
    I have already coded as
    lr_model->SET_COLUMN_SELECTION_ALLOWED( abap_false ).
    lr_model->set_fixed_cols_left_allowed( abap_false ).
    lr_model->set_fixed_cols_right_allowed( abap_false ).
    Earliest replies are highly appreciated.
    Thomas: Any way to do this.
    Regards,
    Lekha.

    Hi Lekha,
    Please refer to the link below. This link elaborates how to enable Drag and Drop functionality in tables. I hope reversing those settings and properties will disable drag n drop feature.

  • Drag and drop in ALV tree

    Hi All,
    I have a small requirement, I have to implement drag and drop functionality in ALV ( simple trees ) in such a way that the entire contents ( Folders and its sub folders ) have to be copied. As of now i am able to drag and drop
    one at a time, ie drag and drop  folder and then  again drag and drop its sub folder. Any solution to drag and drop both folder and its sub-folders in one step.
    example program -> rsdemo_drag_drop_tree_multi which allows drag and drop  of folders one at a time.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Kiran.

    Hi ,
    just type BCALV_DND_* in se38 editor and press f4 you will get log of examples for drag n drop funtionality.

  • Drag and Drop in hero list.

    Hi,
    I am working on a mobile project which requires drag and drop in same list. Has anyone implemented this in their project. Please share your experience.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh.

    OK, I've fixed this in the following way.
    In the createDragIndicator() function, I've grabbed the element from the layout and set the dragImage's x and y to the same:
    public override function createDragIndicator():IFlexDisplayObject
         var dragItem:IVisualElement = selectedItem;
         var dragImage : UIBitmap = new UIBitmap( dragItem, PixelSnapping.NEVER );
         if (dragImage is IVisualElement)
              IVisualElement(dragImage).owner = this;
         var element:ILayoutElement;
         if (layout.useVirtualLayout)
              element = layout.target.getVirtualElementAt(selectedIndex);
         else
              element = layout.target.getElementAt(selectedIndex);
         dragImage.x = element.getLayoutBoundsX();
         dragImage.y = element.getLayoutBoundsY();
         return dragImage;

  • Issue : drag and drop from list control to tree control

    Hi,
    I was trying a drag and drop from list control to tree control. I have used some sample data to populate list and tree controls .
    It is working fine . except one problem ..
    Prob : when i drag an item to tree control .. it gets added .. now tree contains (X+1) data in list .. say X is the inital number of nodes in a tree node.
              now if i drag another item from list to last item in the tree node  .. i.e at X+1 index. .. it throws null pointer exception.

    Ya , i have searched and have used the same code.
    But needed to customize few things like:
    stop dnd in same tree
    drop some item into a folder ..( onto it ) etc
    have achieved the same .. but this issue ..
    i think the tree dataprovider (contents internally is not being updated .. only the UI)
    any suggestions ?
