Always output x lines

I work at a college and am essentially trying to reproduce our paper registers as a report which will automatically include electronically recorded attendance marks for the students. Basically each row would be the student biographical details and then grid squares for 52 weeks of marks. I have no problem reporting this and have many attendance reports already doing this.
However at the start of the year as students are enrolling I wish to use the same report with blank spaces for the students to be written in. I also need to leave space for late enrolling students.... That way we can reproduce the register along with all marking at any point in time.
Ideally I would like to always achieve 40 rows for students so if 10 had electronic attendance they would be shown and then 30 blank rows. I think the way to do this is to conditionally show a section or something but have never had to do this before could someone point me in the right direction. I suppose I could fiddle my sql to achieve this but would prefer to do it in the report.

  • Output several lines in ALV report

    Hi all,
My requirement is to output multiple lines (i.e. text lines) in a grid of an ALV report, so that user could later download it to an MS Excel sheet.
Is there any solution to it?
    Many Thanks!
e.g., target output is like this and all the text lines in Col B should belongs to 1 single record...
    Col A | Col B          |
    ===============
    rec1  | text line 1   |
    text line 2
    text line 3
    ===============
    rec2 |  text line 1  ||
    text line 2
    text line 3

    Thanks!
Yes, I populated it, but each text line occupies one row ID, how can make it?
can I display it as a table in a grid ?
    Thanks!

  • "Always Available off line" menu item not available for user on computer where another does see it. This is on Active Directory Computer

I have a lap top that I want to add files via Always available off line.
When I logon and right click on a folder share I can see the menu item all was available offline.  When the user logs on this option is not available.  I have turned the feature on and off, rebooted, I have deleted the cache folder but I cannot
see how to get this menu item to show up.  It's odd that it shows up for one user but not another on the same computer.  I have searched the web and tried the above things and others but cannot seem to resolve this problem.  It seems pretty
common and their. This computer is on a domain.
    thanks.

    Hi,
So as we edited the group policy settings in the default domain policy, the menu item is now available?
And as we are in a domain environment and the settings is configured under the default domain policy, how the domain users behave different from each other? Which someone could see and the other not?
    Could we please generate a
GPO report to take a check?
And regarding group policy issue, it is recommended to seek help in the group policy forum, experts there may share some insights:

  • Always Use Primary Line / Auto Line Select CM 4.1(3)sr3c

Is it correct that the "Always Use Primary Line" system parameter and the phone device page "Auto Line Select" setting work together to affect a phone's off-hook behavior for incoming calls? I changed the Always Use Primary Line from the default (False to True) to change the behavior and force primary line only when the phone goes off-hook. When I then enabled Auto Line Select on the 7960G, I expected to reverse this global setting for that device only. But, that did not happen. In fact, no matter how Always Use Primary Line is set (True or False), the device page setting Auto Line Select (enable or disable) does not appear to cause any change at all. Has anyone else encountered this? If changing the Service Parameter takes effect without restarting callmanagers, wouldn't resetting the phone device force the change on the device page to take effect? Or, do I not understand the relationship between these two settings?

Auto Line Select comes into play when you are already on the phone and you have a new incoming call on another line, then should the focus change to that new ringing line so it can show you the caller-id or should the focus be on the active line. Depending on this, the softkeys and everything change on your screen and you don't have to press the line button to see all the keys.
Always use Prime Line is primary used when the phone goes off-hook. This determines if you want to go off-hook on the primary line all the time or not. If you choose to always use primary line, then everytime you go
off-hook, we use the first line on the phone and it does not matter if there is a call ringing on another line.
If its set to false, then when you go off-hook, it will go off hook on a line which is ringing and not your primary line.

  • The output sound line

    Hello,
I'm interrested to change my Macbook 13" Unibody for the new Macbook Air. But i'm using my current Macbook as a Media Center with a HDMI and optical connection to my A/V amplifier. Apparently, the new Macbook Air haven't the optical output sound line, just an analogic connector. So I wonder if there is an external sound card using USB connection with just an optical output (i'm not looking for expessive professional sound cards).
    Thanks

Ok I have semi good news... The second sound card that I bought seems to be capable of doing it hardware wise but the driver doesn't seem to support it...
I mainly use a player called Plex (http://www.plexapp.com) to play my movies. It allows me to "Force" digital output... With that option enabled I have full 5.1 channel sound on both AC3 and DTS. However when I don't force it it uses Stereo because it THINKS the card can't handle more.
I have also tried Quicktime which has no force option -> Stereo only. And VLC which has a force option for "Dolby Surround" but the result is also -> Stereo...
So this card works if and only if you are using Plex to play back your movies...
It is the Terratec Aureon Dual USB. It is a small USB stick with the same kind of optical plug that the MacBook Pros use...
    This is how it looks:
    http://umpcmid.com/photo/terratec-aureon-dual-usb-2.jpg
    On the Terratec site:
    http://www.terratec.net/en/products/AureonDual_USB9842.html
    Moreover:
I have also found the following card of which several people on the internet claim that it is capable of full pass through both on Windows and Mac OS, but it seems unavailable in Europe. It's the Turtle Beach Micro II (not Amigo II!!!) However the Turtle Beach Website claims that pass-through is NOT available in Mac OS. It can be found on Amazon.com:
    http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-AudioAdvantageMicroII-Micro-Sound/dp/B0036VO4 X4/ref=sr11?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1287880531&sr=8-1
If anyone knows of another solution, let us know!

  • Has DIVELEMENT always created a line break?

Just wondering if the DIVELEMENT always renders a line break after the ending </div> tag.  That is not what HTML does so I'm just wondering if its a bug or the way DIVELEMENT is supposed to render.  I can't find it documented anywhere so I thought I would run it by folks on the forum.
    Here is an example:
    <TextFlow xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/textLayout/2008" version="2.0.0" locale="en">
<div>Concept topic Number 1</div><div>This is some dummy content for flex that has topic type of: concept.</div><div>Note:    This is dummy content, so nothing here is going to be really thought provoking or, shall we say, deep.</div></TextFlow>
and it renders like this, where the div's are seperated by line breaks:
    Concept topic Number 1
This is some dummy content for flex that has topic type of: concept.
Note:    This is DAVID's dummy content, so nothing here is going to be really thought provoking or, shall we say, deep.
    Thanks!!

    Thank you Jin!
The fact that the "<div>" is actually rendered as "<div><p><span>" does sound familiar now.  Thanks!
I do have some questions about the rules you stated...
There must be more than one pragraph in div, more than one span in paragraph , span's parent must be a paragraph... ...There are many rules in TLF. Normalization process will create required elements for the users to obey all the rules.
Are these rules written anywhere?  We have been struggling for days trying to write a XSD schema that conforms to the TLF 2.0 specification since one doesn't exist already.  If these rules are not in the spec. then the spec. needs to be updated.

  • Combined optical digital audio output/analog line out

Combined optical digital audio output/analog line out minijack on the new Mac Pro support 5.1?

Are you asking if it has that?
    http://www.apple.com/mac-pro/specs/
    says:
Combined optical digital audio output/analog line out minijack
    Which means it does.
On all but the earlier Mac Pro models, this has been standard since the iMac G5.
    Mac Pros earlier used SPDIF.
    These are now mini-Toslink.

  • Standard output automatically line wraps at 40 characters, How to stop that

Hello, After frustrated searching I will ask this. I am currently using the terminal to run my fortran code using gfortran and intel's ifort (10.1.015) writing relevant data to the standard out by
    write(,) or write(*,100)
    100 format(i4,1x,4(f8.3,1x)
regardless of which compiler I use the output is always wrapped after 40 characters.
Here is an example using a formated line
    Description of uniform random quaternions
    Index |q| w x y z
    1 1.000 -0.469 -0.383 -0.357
    -0.711
    2 1.000 0.365 0.202 0.151
    0.896
As you can see this is wrapping the last number. So how can I get a longer line?
The wrapping is not seen when I do this on a linux at work or my powerbook with 10.4.
    Thanks
    Chris

Sorry, yes that was a typo in defining 5 not 4 floats, but I have another line with 12 floating point numbers that are formated correctly in the format statement but wrap at 40 regardless. But, if I read data from that file, the compiler still reads it as a single line. So is this a terminal issue or fortran? Opening in vi still wraps as if a carriage return is there. (Also opened in text and texwrangler with same wrapping)
I have sent a similar question to Intel and will update if I get anything.
    Thank you

  • X-Fi Titanium only Mono output through Line-Out

    Hi,
I have a problem with my x-fi titanium card. Since yesterday the output of the line-out is only mono. So the sound is always the same for right an left channel. I tried this in the mixer menue where you can test each channel if there is sound.
I already re-installed the newest drivers and changed PCI-E slot on my motherboard. The strange thing is in audio creation mode of the mixer I can see different amplitude for left and right channel of the output while testing.
After testing this whole thing I assume the amplifier of the card is broken and giving out the same signal to both channels.
    Anymore suggestions?
    regards,
    Mik

are you using a mono cable with the card? Your card could very well be outputting stereo, and if you use a mono cable, you will end up with 1 channel sound.
Have you checked your mixer to make sure that you do not have the balance slider set to the left or right?

  • Issue with PO change output - Service line items

    Hi All,
This is issue with PO change output. We have PO with line item 10, 20 and item 10 has 4 service line items. PO is approved and initial print out is taken.
Some one goes and makes changes to 1st service line items of PO line item 10.
A change output gets triggered. When this output is printed, it prints line item 10 details. This is standard functionality as this item is changed. But its printing all the service line items for this PO line item. Consider a case where there are 3000 service lines for a PO item. If I add 1 service item to this PO line item, the change form prints 3001 services for that line item. There were no changes done to first 3000 service line items.
Currently PO change form takes care of changes at PO line item but it does not take care of changes at service line item level.
Is there any setting that needs to be done for this so that it only considers the changes at Service line item level also.
    Regards,
    Shahu

If you're using a standard form, send a message to SAP. Otherwise make a change in the form.

  • Urgent:output for line item not working

    hi
we are trying to get the output at item level in the sales order.we click on the line item and give a print out..but it is showing details of other line items as well. is there a ways we can get a printout for only the selected line items.
    what we did.
    1. maintained a output type for item category
    2. assigned the output type tot he item category.
but still  this is not working the way we want. do we need to use a different print program for the item level printing...
Pls  reply  soon  we are goin live in 2 days with ur contact no....thanks...

    Hi,
I think this is not possible through standard, but I can suggest if you can seek help from your technical guys asking if it is possible through output routines what we maintain in the output determination procedure....
Give him the requirement and ask him if he can create a custom routine for this.....
    Hope this will help you........

  • Output with line breaks seemingly randomly placed

    Hola -
I've adapted Tyler Muth's RSS feed article (http://tylermuth.wordpress.com/2008/01/22/producing-rss-from-plsql/) for the most part successfully; however, my output has breaks in the lines at inappropriate places, often in the mddle of an XML element tag for example. The placement of the breaks varies if I change the values of l_idx, l_len, l_defrows, l_maxrows, and l_desclen, but the breaks persist. They're not reflected in the code below but I've added the utl_file.fflush to no good effect.
    Examples of broken output:
    <pre>

Or have a look at the Oracle Documentation, for instance at the parameters for utl_file.fopen
max_linesize Maximum number of characters for each line, including the
newline character, for this file (minimum value 1, maximum
value 32767). If unspecified, Oracle supplies a default value of
1024.It wouldn't surprise me if your randomly placed line breaks are all 1023 characters a part.
