Android Back Button when FLVPlayback component in full screen
I'm launching an FLVPlayback component in to full screen by setting fullScreenTakeOver = true and setting StageDisplayState to FULL_SCREEN in an air for android app. This works fine. The video plays in full screen
But when I press the device Back button, it quits out of the app.
Everywhere else in the app I can catch the key_down event and do preventDefault(), stopImmediatePropogation(), but the event doesn't seem to fire when FLVPlayback is in full screen.
I've tried adding the Key_Down event listener to NativeApplication.nativeApplication, to stage and to the FLVPlayback component itself. None of these seem to work.
I do, however, get the correct behaviour when I test the app in Flash IDEs simulator

When i select the "Full Screen" option in video streams (like youtube, veoh, anything like that) i can do that one(1) time second(2nd) time the screen goes blank and can only exit it with the escape(Esc) button and then i have to restart firefox and again i have my one "Full-screen Ticket"
I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -
I have an IPod 2nd generation I bought from a pawn shop. It worked for a day but now when I try to charge it, it keeps switching back and forth from the large full screen icon of a low battery and a lighting bolt below to the blue screen with the apple symbol in the middle. I had it on charge all night but still dead.

hi, i've just bought my first macbook pro, i just installed office mac and when i open the page i cannot see the minimise maximise and close buttons as it's hidden behind the apple menu bar, also when it's at full screen, those buttons do not appear
Try to edit the size of the page using the sides of the page, or if you are desperate, force quit using command-Q. In full screen put your cursor on the top of the page, and the menu bar will appear. If it doesn't keep "pushing" it up until it does. Hope this helps!

There is a hard fix for this...but i don't whether this is a current approach..

This virtually disables the back button..i.e when you click the back button it immediately redirects to the present page.. -
How to disable screen saver when watchin videos in full screen in firefox??
This happens only with Firefox, other browsers play videos normally and uninterrupted. I want to keep my window default screen saver but not when watching in full screen mode.
The Flash Player plugin normally should block the system from going to sleep, reducing display brightness, or going to screen saver when you use its full screen mode. It's strange that you have this issue with Flash.
There are some workarounds, like using an add-on or external program that simulates moving your mouse, but those really shouldn't be necessary.
VLC, I don't know.
By the way, have you shut down and restarted Windows since this problem first occurred? Just in case some shared component of Windows has crashed. -
I have a tiny problem that is driving me mad. When I am playing an album in iTunes using cover flow view (with the playlist beneath the artwork picture) the picture is exactly above the album title. All is symmetrical. When I switch to full screen display, the artwork moves a couple of inches to the left and the display is therefore asymmetrical. Why and how do I correct it? It would drive you mad to.

GrahamI was having the same problem, but tried the "Top Button + Home Button" reset and that did work for me. My unofficial guess is that perhaps RAM caches get filled through daily use of various apps leaving no memory for cover flow. Resetting the phone on the phone itself seems to reset that RAM. I can't say it's a cure-all, but it solved my issue. Hope this helps.

Odd... went to get cuppa coffee, came back my monitor was BRIGHT orange, full screen,, with slight vertical rib pattern, kind of like corrugated cardboard... very slight pattern... what gives.... oh, everything was frozen, no cursor no keyboard, zip. Used back off button. Turned it back on, everything normal...
Had lots of sudden closures like this lately... but usually gray, black, deep blue screen... a couple with the same vertical corrugation pattern only in two shades of pale gold, or grays... what good times we have with apple... never know what'going to be looking back at you next. But BRIGHT ORANGE? Help???Sounds like the graphics card. Run the Hardware Test in extended. Not a great diagnostic, but should pick up something really blatant like this.

Vut eez happening?????This sounds like a corrupt file or app.
Try these steps:
1- try opening a different book
2- reset iPad by holding down home & power buttons for 10 seconds until the apple appears
3- delete and reinstall iBooks, then re-sync your books from iTunes.

Adobe Flash Player Flickers when watching Fox Business Full screen
I am using Windows 7 (64 Bit) and IE 10. When I go to Fox Business I can watch fine in small screen but when I go to full screen the Adobe Flash Player icon shows up in the taskbar and the screen flickers until I hit escape and revert back to small screen.
I have tried all 7 suggestions in your help section and none help.There exists an Add-On named "Turn off the light". Have you installed it?

I had a fear that this was going to be the case, but you can't have two full screen apps open in two different displays. At least that's how Safari fullscreen works. When switching over to full screen mode in safari, it automatically creats a new space, turns on four finger gesture to swipe through full screen apps which I had turned off in place of App Switcher.
I don't use spaces because of the lack of support for using spaces with multiple displays. I would use spaces and mission control if I had control of each display's mission control separately.
The fix would be to unlink the displays so they can scroll through full screen apps by themselves. I want this feature so I can mix and match the full screen apps on my three different displays. I see this beneficial for more people with multiple displays. in the future when thunderbolt display links, people will want better support too.
I know I would use spaces and mission control more if I could have this ability. I'd be interested to know people's opinion.No no, if you read what I said, it would be that each individual display would be customizable to the user. The way you have it, it sounds like your second display will be dedicated to scrolling through fullscreen apps not allowing you to do it on the home screen. This is silly because with my concept, you could do that, by dragging apps to fullscreen in your second display, but if you want you could tell another display to scroll through fullscreen apps (independently) if you wanted. Each display will have it's own mission control with it's own set of desktops. I also can see how some people would still want them linked together, so this could just be a little check box made in mission control prefs to "link" or "unlink" desktops with link checked by default.
With your solution you're limited to your setup. but what if the person has three or four displays? Well then your solution would limit them to one dedicated display that scrolls through fullscreen apps where mine lets a person customize their desktops depending on their preference and setup.
further example: if you have safari, address book and mail in one display, you could still have ichat, PS and Illustrator in your second, and a text editor, FTP Client and iTunes in your third. Then you would mix and match these apps but it would promote the use of mulitple displays as well as benefit people with three or more, which thunderbolt, Cinema Display and Pro computers support. -
Screen goes to sleep even when viewing movies in full screen mode
Hi, I have adjusted my settings so my screen goes to sleep after 5 minutes which is ok. But it also does this when viewing movies in full screen mode.... Is this a setting somewhere? Thanx!

"When the computer is inactive" or "idle" means when YOU, the user, are doing nothing, neither using the keyboard nor the mouse. So you have to increase that 5 mins in Energy Saver.

When safari is in full screen mode and I move the mouse to the top of the screen to bring up the menu bar and the bookmark bar, it does nothing. Is anyone else having this issue?
ThanksI just tested that since I hardly ever use full screen mode, this was the first time since I upgraded to Mountain Lion, and it worked fine for me.
Try shutting Safari down and see if that changes anything.
If that doesn't change anything, try shutting down and then rebooting.
