Android & WM6.5 devices can't use ActiveSync with Exchange 2013, ADFS and WAP.

Bit of a long winded title but I was trying to sum up the issue.
Newly installed Exchange 2013 environment; we've setup external access for OA and ActiveSync. We've used ADFS with WAP to publish the necessary paths etc. We've setup DNS and firewall rules etc.
OA is perfect and can be accessed by anything with a browser. ActiveSync is perfect for any new Windows Mobile device and any iOS device. When we've tried to sync older WM6.5 or any Android device, it just doesn't seem to want to work.
We've checked logs on both devices; the WM6.5 complains about a cert issue however we've took every step from installing the CA, RA and actual cert on the device to no avail. Some android device complain about using the port 443 but no matter what
we change this to it still won't sync.
Unfortunately my suggestion of 'just give everyone a new phone' went down as well as...well lets just say not good :)
I appreciate this might be an ADFS\WAP issue but thought I'd rule Exchange out first so any advice is much appreciated.

can you help us or share the configuration.
We have Used MS UAG2010 SP4 to publish Exchange 2013 SP1 (On premises).

If you got someone else email than that's a BIG error and it has nothing to do with whatever client you are using. You send your credentials to gmail and they connected to another account, not even Google would like to do that.
Either you send the wrong credentials and then you happend to have the same password as this other account. Try using webmail on that account.
Change your password!!! If you can access that account he/she can access yours.

Can we connect Outlook with Exchange 2013 with the default Self-signed certificate?

the question is very simple, but after several days searching in this forums and in the web I have not been able to find a definitive answer YES or NOT. I know that Self-signed certificates are not for a production enviroment and only for labs and we must
purchase a third party certificate or get one from a internal CA.
Anyone can answer this question with no doubt?

Also I have installed a new exchange 2013 in a lab enviroment and I also have unabled to connect from a Outlook 2013. The problem is the same Outlook is unable to detect the exchange server. Many people in this forums told me that have to be a certificate
problem and for that I posted this question. Honestly, I don't know how to do for Outlook can be connect with Exchange 2013. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

HT201335 Can i use airplay with the apple tv and airport express without an internet connection? Basically Set it up as a closed network?

I was told I could set a local network with the airport express, apple Tv, and my iPad to stream videos or pictures to a TV for a presentation.
No internet connection is available at the location.
Is that possible? Or do I need to access itunes homeshare with an internet connection to make this work?
I've set it up at home where I have an internet connection and it works fine but I want to move the setup to my church for a class. The data I'm using is stored on my ipad.
I know I can do this wired with the HDMI adapter but would like to do it wireless.

Ok so we now have a solution to the problem. A friend of mine came round to work this out with me last night and we were able to get it working, but it is not as easy as I had hoped. Fisrtly we plugged the airport express into my router using the ethernet cable (for this I am using an Airport Express Base Station") and in airport utilities selected the airport express. In edit, we then gave the airport express a new range of IP address which did not conflict with any of the other applications that I have already assigned. We also named the Airport Express with a distinguishable name. We then waited for the changes to be registered then unplugged the Airport Express from the router. I then plugged my AppleTV via HDMI into a tv to test it and selected the new wifi network with the new Airport Express distinguishable name. I was able to watch a video that I have on my ipad directly on my tv without being connected to the internet, and was able to play Airplay presentations.
No the easiest solution, and certainly not something that anyone at Apple has talked me through in my lengthy conversations with them at Applecare.

The confusion is should we buy the adapters for informatica or licenses for ODI. I understand having ODI with Informatica would add an additional integration layer.

Can I use AE with Mac at home and PC on road.

Currently I use my AE at home to enable wireless printing with my airport extreme base station between my powermac, a mac mini and a windows laptop. The AE is configured using the airport admin utility on my powermac.
So my question is can I take my AE with me when I'm on the road with my win laptop and setup wireless internet in my hotel room. I'm assuming to do this I'd have to change the firmware in the AE to the windows version or am I able to just download the windows airport utility and not have to change firmware?

Yes you could take the AE unit with you, but you would only get wireless internet in your room if the hotel offered broadband through an Ethernet port. You'll find more and more hotels now offer wireless access in their rooms.
As you are wanting to change the functionality of the AE unit while on the road, you will need the Airport configuration software for the OS you will be travelling with. There's nothing as drastic as changing the firmware in the AE unit. You will find that the settings you left in the AE unit while configuring on your PowerMac will be re-configurable with the Windows Airport software. You can install the Windows Airport software on your laptop now and configure the AE unit just as easily as you can from your PowerMac.

Can I use Skype with a macbook air and the face time camera

I am an Imac user and learning this new macbook air. I have face time on this and am wondering if I can use skype with the facetime camera of if I need to add a remote web cam? I am not seeing the video function in skype.

I've used mine a few times within Skype. No issues.
The FT camera is suitable for any application requiring a camera, notwithstanding the "not so hot" resolution of the built-in camera on the MBA.
Check the Audio/Video tab within Skype Preferences to select the built-in camera.

Can i use smartprint with out bing bar and or internet explorer ?

Can I use smartprint without Bing bar and or internet explorer? I am not a fan of Microsoft explorer and I Do not want Bing on my computer. I don’t like either program.
I prefer other options like Firefox, slim-browser and others. I also don’t use any tool bars.

iTunes match stores songs in iCloud. The difference between iTunes match and regular iCloud services is that Match allows you to store music that was not purchased in iTunes, store it in the cloud. If you have a lot of music imported from CD's, I would sign up.

Can't use WAP2 with XP Media Center and WRT54GL

I downloaded and installed the patch from MS that supposedly enables WAP2 on XP, but when I switch to that level of security, I lose all connectivity. Did I miss something in the setup?

First of all, give your network a unique SSID. Do not use "linksys". If you are using "linksys" you may be trying to connect to your neighbor's router. Also set "SSID Broadcast" to "enabled". This will help your computer find and lock on to your router's signal.
Also, in the computer, go to your wireless software, and go to "Preferred Networks" (sometimes called "Profiles" ). There are probably a few networks listed. Delete any network named "linksys". Also delete any network that you do not recognize, or that you no longer use. Also delete any entry for your current network. Reboot computer. Now return to "Preferred Networks" and enter your current network info (SSID, encryption, and key). Then select your current network and make it your default network, and set it to automatic login. You may need to go to "settings" to do this, or you may need to right click on your network and select "Properties" or "settings". Reboot computer. Computer should connect automatically.
If the above does not fix your problem, download and install the latest driver for your wireless card.
