I still get the 404 error.
I go to http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/index.html then follow the link titled "Free Oracle Forms Upgrade Workshops" which leads to http://www.oracle.com/go/?&Src=3581382&Act=4
That URL results in a 404 error :-(
PS. I just tested it using MS Internet Explorer and then it seems to work (FireFox gives me the 404 error)

Unfortunately, this is a problem that is driven by the DRM Dictatorship.  Despite the proliferation of mobile devices and the fact that there are many of us who do a lot of international travel, content providers don't want you to have access to their products outside of your homeland.  The Balkanized mentality of the DRM Dictatorship is way out of touch with the modern world.
At least Apple, to its credit, allows you to use your accounts outside of your homeland as long as you have the proper credentials for them.  Most other services use the more Draconian geolocation filtering which does require you to be physically present in your homeland.  For the most part, you are not allowed to leave home if you want access to your favorite entertainment!

  • Installed both 10.1.4 and 11.0.08 updates this week and now I can't use the Digital "Sign" document feature.  It's been completely removed.  Need it back. Please help..

I installed both 10.1.4 and 11.0.08 updates this week and now I can't use the Digital "Sign" document feature.  It's been completely removed.  Need it back. Please help..  Can't sign or add text to any pdf document. Even when security properties allow it.

I would remove Reader and repair or reinstall Acrobat.
Having different major versions can cause some users issues. Reader is not necessary if one has Acrobat installed. Even though Adobe has improved the capability of having both Reader and Acrobat with the same major version level there are still user configurations that have problems with this setup.

the register now button does not appear to do anythingYou need to phone them. Yes actually speak to a real human being, which is a refreshing novelty. Also, it's the small number at the bottom, not the BIG telephobe number immediately above it.
The document does not say it is fully booked, That's internet time-lag - I bagged the last spot for a colleague yesterday afternoon.

  • Any limitation on number of fill and print forms I can post on my website and have external users with Reader fill in, print and mail to me? (I don't need/want them to be able to fill and save data.)

I would like to post fillable only forms to the public but not give them the option to save or email the filled in form. If they want a copy of what they've filled in, they must print it.
I believe I can do this by just creating a fillable PDF and posting it without adding any reader extension capabilities. I also believe there is no limitation, as there is for fill and save forms as per this other post I read: Adobe Acrobat X Pro * Enable Reader users to save form data.
My IT department is telling me they will not allow me to post fillable PDFs online due to a "license limitation" so I started researching this myself, and the above link is the only thing I've found. While that post specifically outlines the limitations on saving filled in forms, I'm really looking for something that specifically tells me that there is no limitation on fillable, non-saveable (yes, I know that's not a word...) forms.
If anyone can provide additional information for me, I'd appreciate it. Or, if I'm completely wrong in my belief and there's a limitation either way, feel free to set me straight. I'd rather know the correct answer than be right!
    Thanks!!

If you don't Reader-enable a document, then there are no licensing restrictions involved. Note that Reader 11 and all versions of Acrobat are able to save non-enabled forms, unlike previous versions.
The question should not be whether a form is savable, but rather whether you used Acrobat to add usage rights to the form AND you (the licensee) plan on receiving filled-in instances (including hardcopies) of it. The simplest way is to not Reader-enable the form and convince your users to use Reader 11 (or Acrobat) if they want to save.

  • SAPscript and Smart Forms - Going to be phased out?

Thus far, are SAPscript and/or Smart Forms going to eventually be retired?  Is there an official document, or Note that says so?  I've exhaustively searched through these forums, and the SMP for the PAM and Notes, but I can't find a reference anywhere that will tell me.
I did find where it says:
"Customers can continue to use existing SAP forms solutions such as Smart Forms and SAPscript.
Both solutions will continue to be supported in their current functional scope."
Just want to make sure with my clients.
    Thanks!

    Hello,
We recently rolled out an SAP's Strategy as far as forms development is concerned.
    Here is the official statement:
"The SAP forms strategy is based on SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe (IFbA). This applies to both print and interactive forms. In this context, most Business Suite solutions have already been converted to the IFbA technology (more than 2300 forms), and new standard SAP forms will be created using IFbA instead of Smart Forms or SAPscript.
SAPscript and Smart Forms shall continue to be supported inline with SAP's maintenance strategy, thereby ensuring the ability to protect existing customer investment."
You can also find this on the Smart Forms page in SDN: Smart Forms Overview

  • ER5 and ER6 Form

    Hello,Guru.
In SAP MM CIN  what is the meaning of ER5 Form and ER6 Form.
when they are using,,,why they are using
    regards
    sapman

    Hi,
    This is all about C-form.Regarding ER5 n ER 6,
C-forms need to be filed by all companies that do Inter-state sales.
It works when a company sells goods to a customer in another state, the customer is supposed to give company a C- form, which allows company a to pay just 4% central sales tax. Without a C-form the tax burden on company is for a local sale as high as 12.5%.
Earlier a company needed to submit one C-form per year per customer, with the new legislation it will have to be every quarter. Big companies that do business across the country will be hit the hardest.
Companies say C-forms are very difficult to come by because they are in perennial shortage.
"Institutions like the Railways do a lot of scrutiny before payment is made. There is an audit and certification before payments are released. Getting C-forms on a quarterly basis is virtually impossible."
In such a case, the income tax department would raise a claim against the company for the 12.5% of tax instead of 4%. The company can go on appeal but only after depositing 50% of the disputed amount with the department and providing a bank guarantee for the remaining amount.
SAP has provided the transaction for tracking form t-code= J1IUN.
but this doesnot have that strong control from user entry prospective. it is an idependent transaction without any link to PO means you can enter PO number and make the entry. if say a Po doesnot have commitment for form C that too can be entered.
usually, for Form -C , it is a development. if you really want the tight control. activate BADI in PO document type. in that give selection for FORM-C. if PO are with form C select that button.
then develop a transaction where this info will automatically get defaulted. from this you can come to know what are the PO that are with form -C. then make rest of the enteries and capture form info.
in this case there will not be any skipping of PO where you have to given form C commitment.
from there you can branch to reports as per your requirement.
just check with the user the level of requirement, this is bare minimum what i have told you. I did in one of the implementation and still I am doing in the rest one also with the same concept, only differnece is the user requirement and expectation on reporting changes.
with BADI in PO you will get another TAB, where you have wider choice to add more fields for other requirements for CIN also or any other stuff.

  • Why "Just added" not updated this week?

After upgrading ITunes, this weeks Just Added lists still says July 19th.  What happened to July 26's adds?  Is it me or is anyone else not seeing the updated list?

I'm having the same problem.  Very unusual for it not to be updated on Tuesday.  I've checked every day this week expecting the update.

I was online earlier this week and liked the forms with submit buttons and the Adobe site directed me to upgrade to Adobe PRO XI in order to use forms so I bought five licenses. Just had it installed today and it is now asking me to sign up for forms Central in order to use this feature. What gives? The Adobe site gave me the impression that I would have this feature after purchasing the new upgrade. I would not have purchased the upgrade, let alone five of them had I know this. Am I missing something?

Acrobat XI comes with the Fromscentral AIR application and the ability to create PDF forms authored in Formscentral. To have more than the free (1 form with 50 responses) level account you need to sign up for a Formscentral subscription.

  • Is ADS and PDF forms required for an upgrade to ECC 6.0 for US Payroll?

We're currently on SAP 4.7 for US Payroll, but are working on an upgrade to ECC 6.0. I'm looking for a clear answer to whether or not we have to move to Adobe Document Services and PDF forms with our upgrade. I've heard from several sources that SAP is not providing updates to SAPscript forms in ECC 6.0 and will only make updates to PDF based tax reporter forms going forward. Can anyone comfirm that is the case?
    Thanks in advance,
    -Nick

    Your help is appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Hallelujah, finally disabled OOPP. I use Firefox 9.0.1 and will not upgrade to anything that ignores my settings. Been looking for this info for years!

As soon as Firefox came out with OOPP, I immediately asked how to permanently disable it and had a Firefox developer straight-up lie to me and say it couldn't be done without downgrading. Thank GOODNESS for the instructions on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/713600?page=1 Finally, finally I have excised the hated OOPP!
I run Firefox 9.0.1 and will not upgrade, ever, unless I see signs that Mozilla has radically altered its development direction and discarded most of the boneheaded, broken, anti-user development that has gone into versions more recent than Firefox 1.x. Actually making your mission statement more than an empty promise might be a good place to start.
Let's see...anything else? Oh yeah, any developer who advocates overriding or ignoring user settings, or taking control away from the user, should be kicked off the team. (and investigated as a possible Government mole, but that's a lot to ask for). I hear Konqueror and Safari are looking for new devs. It gets old fast when you try to get support and instead get haughty "You're doing it wrong, stop doing that" responses. I'm doing exactly what I intend to be doing and if you can't support that, someone else will. If you really gave a damn about your users, you might start by backporting security fixes to previous versions instead of spewing out a cacophony of incompatible new versions so rapidly you end up confusing and alienating users and making them switch updates off entirely. I mean seriously, what happens when Firefox hits triple digits? You could stick a decimal in front of it, and name that build after a historic baseball player who had that batting average. But even then you will run out of players in a few months.
It's truly sad. I switched to Firefox because it was the best browser. But Firefox has been backsliding horribly since around 2.0, and the other browsers seem to be in about the same boat. Firefox IS still the best browser - but only if you use an ancient, unsupported version. That's a big problem.

Using an obsolete version released [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/9.0.1/releasenotes/ December 11th 2011] is the exact definition of downgrading. It exposes your system to all the security vulnerabilities that have been fixed since then.
    * https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html
Out-of-process plug-ins was made mandatory on Windows Vista and later because Adobe don't test Flash Player's protected mode with OOPP disabled. This change didn't happen until Firefox 14, so there was no need to go as far back as Firefox 9.0.1.
If you absolutely have to, you can disable OOPP by creating the ''MOZ_DISABLE_OOP_PLUGINS'' environment variable and setting its value to '''1'''. Firefox must be restarted for the change to take effect. This works in the current version of Firefox, so there's no need to use obsolete insecure versions.<br>
If you don't know how to create an environment variable, see the following article for instructions (the "Using the Custom Environment Variable" section is not relevant).
