Announce: Generic Algorithms for Java, 0.3 release

The latest release of jga: Generic Algorithms for Java is now available at
http://jga.sf.net/
Included in this release are a collection of algorithms adapted from STL that operate over generic collections and iterations. What's included are the algorithms that do not attempt to modify the collection/iteration that they're given: in other words, all of the find/search/count algorithms. Also included are the complete set of functors and predicates that were present in the last release, with a few modifications for easier use.
The library is released under the LGPL, and includes the source for the library, the test framework, and a non-genericized version of the test framework that verifies that the library may be used without having the generic environment available.

A (similar, it seems) parameterized collections library for JSR-14 Java.I had looked at JUtil some time ago, and I'm not sure of the similarity: JUtil looks to provide a number of interesting (if somewhat specialized) collections. JGA provides functors & predicates, and STL-ish algorithms that operate on collections and iterators. Looks to me to be more complimentary than similar.
Mr. Ananian/Astaire's site is also the source of SinjDoc, the javadoc tool that I used to generate the javadoc at jga.sf.net, and with which I replaced the munge4doc.pl and mungedoclist.pl scripts that I had previously used and posted on this forum.

    Thanks Rob!
I was trying to find that setting. It looks like that "Target:" is somehow involved with "Character Encoding". The comboboxes are so close each other. I did not opened that combobox before. The content of that combobox clearifies the meaning.
If you read that panel from left to right the settings are:
    1.) "Character Encoding"
    2.) "Target:"
    3.) "Use Default Encoding"
But anyhow, Thanks a lot of your help!

  • Web Dynpro List Viewer for JAVA ?

Is the Web Dynpro List Viewer available for Web Dynpro for JAVA?
The Release Notes of SAP NetWeaver 2004s about this topic are not totally clear for me.
It is always talked about Web Dynpro List Viewer for Web Dynpro in general. For more information there is only a link to the topic ALV Integration into the Web Dynpro ABAP.
I suppose, it is only available for ABAP. Am I right?

    Hi Gayathri,
I just have that scenario in my mind, and certainly it's the purpose that i need to implement. However i'm tried to use only standard applications, but maybe this case  it's a exceptional case

  • New in Kodo 3.3.3: Improved support for Java 5 enums and generics?

    Hello,
Can anybody tell me if Kodo 3.3.3 can be deployed on WebLogic 8.1 sp4, jdk
1.4.1? The reason I ask this is because one of the features mentioned for
v3.3.3 is the support for Java 5 generics, which is available on WebLogic
9 -- but not in WebLogic 8.1 sp4. The documentation for Kodo 3.3.3 seems
to indicate that it can be deployed on WebLogic 8.1 -- can anyone tell me
    if this is accurate?
    Thanks for your help!

    Correction:
I think that my question may have been misunderstood. What I want to know
is if Kodo 3.3.3 can be deployed on WebLogic 8.1sp4 which is running JDK
1.4 or do I have to deploy on a newer version of WebLogic that is running
    Java 5?
    Thanks!

    Rita,
While Kodo 3.3.x can work with JDK 5, it cannot make WL work with JDK 5.
However, Kodo 3.4 RC 3 / 4.0 EA 2 both can work with WL 9 (which works
    with JDK 5).

  • Ebusiness Suite SDK for Java session management

Hi, I am trying to try sample java application mentioned in Oracle® E-Business Suite Software Development Kit for Java Release 11i and 12 Part No. E28169-02
Current version i am trying is Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 and Ebiz suite 12.1.3
able to create Apps Data source with out any issue.
when Home.jsp is accessed through application menu, user name and all session related information is showing as NULL.
    how to resolve this issue.

    Hi Shay,
    I gone through the webinar.
Here is more explanation of my issue.
I created Apps Data source earlier. That time i registered external node in ebusiness suite with node_name as ip_address of weblogic server.
But that time session details came as Null on sample Java application.
Then i realized that may be the issue and corrected registration of external node and corrected ebiz profile options accordingly.
When i tried to create Apps data source with fresh dbc file, i got into invalid username/pwd issue.
As per following forum discussion topic, hyphen and dots in host name will cause issue with Apps data source creation, which is confirmed by couple of discussion participants and Juan also.
    https://kr.forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2489849&start=30&tstart=0
My weblogic host name is like WL-SOADEV-01.domainname.com
what should be my further actions to resolve this issue.
    Thanks

  • Need help to enable trace/logging for java debugging CRM 5.0 WebShop

    Dear experts,
I'm new to sap, and i'm working on CRM 5.0 WebShop J2ee application with nwdi.
I have to add a new functionnality, which has to call a custom FM in CRM. This FM has been tested and is OK.
I have read the 2 files SAP_ISA50_DevAndExtGuide.pdf and ISA50_DevAndExtTuts_v1_0.pdf which have explain to me the process flow and organization of the framework.
By helping me with the tutorials, I wrote all the files for my functionnality, from the jsp with the form, to the custom business backend with the call of the FM with parameters and JCo connection. (+ custom BOM, custom BO, BE interface, BE CRM implementation)
Everything builds without error, and I deploy the application on my test env.
Then I go to my webapp, I call the custom jsp with form, I put values, then I validate the form, but my FM is not called, and I don't know where is the problem, because I can't see a trace of the process flow, to know where is the error.
By searching in this forum I found 2 notes that explain how to activate debug trace for all the application, one note for systems before SP11 and another for systems with SP11 and higher. But I don't know how to see the patchlevel of the system (I went to system information of the j2ee server and the on ly thing I can notice is below the server0 properties : Kernel Version:  7.00 PatchLevel.
In these notes I read about Visual Administrator : I found this directly on the server with remote desktop, but the progress bar at the bottom of the window don't arrives to 100% and I can't see the properties and values of the parameters for the Log.
I went to XCM too, and set appinfo and logfiledownload to true, then went to Logging into e-commerce administration console : in the Log configuration tab, I can create new configurations but the effective severity automatically sets to error, even if I set All or Debug manually ; in the session log tab, i tried to launch the application, then start log, then validate my form, then stop log, but I can't find anything about the trace of the process flow in the generated file.
Please help, I have to finish this for end of week and I'm alone ...
PS I'm french, and don't speak very well English please excuse me.
    Thank you very much.

Follow the doc for 11g, guide you might be missing something:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/doc.1111/e14309.pdf
Highlevel configuration steps (not all and exact) are:
    -> Give it Name
    -> select Reconciliation
-> Select Transport Provider and format provides
    -> select Trusted Source Reconciliation
    ->provide flat file details
-> Source reconciliation staging and mapping
    ->finish

  • ANN: Oracle XML Parser for Java v2.0.0.1

A new maintenance release of the Oracle Parser for Java is
available for download. It has the following fixes and changes:
Bug fixes for #920536, i.e. Cannot access element attributes via
    XSLT; #898423. i.e. ElementDecl's in DTDs; #774774, i.e. DOM
extensions using XSL pattern matching; #863890 i.e. SAX
    IOException not thrown.
New APIs in the following new interface:
    1. oracle.xml.parser.v2.NSResolver
    - resolveNamespacePrefix( find the namespace definition in scope
for a given namespace prefix )
New APIs in the following classes:
    1. oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLNode
    - selectNodes( Selects nodes from the tree which match the given
pattern; client can provide an NSResolver implementation to
resolve namespace prefixes in the pattern ).
    2. oracle.xml.parser.v2.ElementDecl
    - getParseTree( Returns the root Node of Content Model parse
tree, which could then be traversed node by node using
getFirstChild() and getLastChild(). The Node types are: PLUS,
    COMMA, ASTERISK, ELEMENT, QMARK ).
This is the first beta patch release for v2.

do i still need to do that step? No, you do not have to since "XML Parser for Java v9.0.4" is already installed as part of appsborg2.zip
