Another e-mail issue

I am using LiveCycle 7.0 and have created a form with a "Submit By E-Mail" button in it. This is a true Button feature, with the FIELD set to "Submit" and the Submit Format is set for PDF, so the entire form is sent to a mailto: URL. I verfied that all URL's are correctly spelled.
Here's the problem: everyone in the firm has Adobe Standard 6.0 installed. I am saving my file as an "Acrobat 6.0 Compatible (Static) PDF Form File" and all the buttons/links, etc. worke fine, except for the "Submit By E-Mail" button. On users systems, NOTHING happens when they click the button. The hourglass icon flashes for a moment, then . . . nothing. The form works perfectly for me (I have Professional 7.0) but nobody else. I've tried using the above method AND the built in "E-Mail Submit Button" feature. Neither works. I've also tried creating the Button directly in Professional and have gotten the exact same results. Even went so far as to create it in Pro, open it in LiveCycle and do the SaveAs back into 6.0 . . . no luck. I checked the users TRUST MANAGER settings to be sure they were allowed to Send/Launch other apps, again no luck.
I'm at a loss. This is an important feature I need to resolve for a large number of our standard files. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I get a mix of nothing happening and the message, operation not permitted from version of reader 6.0 through to 8.1

    Yes. This problem is usually caused by either some corruption in the file where the rules are stored or (more commonly) by the user having made changes to the junk filter in Preferences > Junk Mail > Advanced that Mail doesn’t expect, without fully understanding how the junk filter works, and that causes it to behave erratically. Try this:
    1. Go to Preferences > Junk Mail, disable junk mail filtering, then enable it again. This resets the rule that governs what the junk filter does.
    2. Choose either Training or Automatic mode (it doesn’t matter) and leave the other options checked. Click Advanced to see how the junk filter rule is defined now if you want, but don’t touch anything there.
    3. Reset the junk filter database (Preferences > Junk Mail > Reset).

    When I delete an e-mail, it automatically puts another e-mail in my inbox which reads "No Sender", thus I have numerous e-mails that have not really been deleted.  How can I delete all these e-mails and how to correct the issue of deleting e-mails?

    Here is one way of doing it. Left click on picture, list opens click on save as. In next window box apears save as type PNG(*.png). Then go to my pictures and print picture from there. I am not sure what print target is? That is in the list also. That may be how it is directly printed. Never used that short cut. Try it and see. I know for sure saving it to file works.

  • More Apple Mail Issues

    We have been using Apple Mail at our school for some time with few problems. We use it as the link to an outside POP3 service. Recently, as with so many other users, we have begun to have serious issues with crashing, loss of messages and issues with both sending and receiving at times. A new one has developed now. Disk Warrior was run recently and seemed to have had decent results. Upon closer inspection, it has apparently altered the modification dates of many user files and folders, as well as mail files (all to the same date: April 1, 1976). Now with mail, users are finding the message: 'The message from <[email protected]> concerning "(subject") has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.' The account is already online. I'm not sure if this is a result of the Disk Warrior intervention, or if it is a continuation of Apple Mail issues, or both. Also, users click on one message, and another displays. If you scroll through your messages, continuous crashes occur, and sometimes all messages disappear. Fortunately, with our mail service (Gaggle), we can retrieve messages directly online.
    The issues do not occur in Entourage, and I am testing a couple of other mail applications as well. So it is definitely an Apple Mail problem. I have tried many of the fixes I have seen in other posts, but with no success. Running Disk Utility or Tech Tool has no effect. Our solution for now is to just not use Apple Mail - which our users are use to.
    I will be curious to see what solutions come out. This is a serious issue for many users.

    Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
    Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • Another Yosemite speed issue

    This is yet another Yosemite speed issue. I've done some reading around and read the FileVault can cause an issues, I took a look and I've always have FileVault disabled.  I installed EtreCheck and the results came up with a lot of RED and "FAILED". Unfortunately, I have no clue how to being to read this and was hoping someone could shed some light onto this for me.

    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
    Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
    Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
    Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
    Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
    Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
    If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
    Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
    There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:

  • Outlook mail issue

    After I add my outlook email ([email protected]) to my iphone5, I can no longer receive email sent to that address.
    I receive it on the phone quickly.  However, I get this message in outlook:
    Task"mail.roadrunner.com - Receiving" reported error (0x8004210E): 'Your mailbox is temporarily unavailable because another e-mail
    message is being delivered to it or another mail application is accessing it.  The server responded: -ERR [IN USE] account is locked
    by another session or for maintenance, try again.'

    Obviously, you didn't get the gist of the issue.  The only thing that's changed is the iPhone 5.  I've had the same email address in the outlook 'program' for years.  It worked properly both ways (outlook to phone, phone to outlook) with previous iPhones.  When I set it up on the phone, I get emails fine, but outlook is blocked.  If I go to the phone and delete the email account, the mail comes through to outlook in a minute or so.

  • Unity Connection Voice Mail Issue

    Hi,
    I have a weird Unity Connection Voice Mail issue and would appriciate any help i can get. Many thanks in advance.
    I have Unity connection 7.0 and CUCM 7.0 integrated in a lab enviroment and here is what happens.
    When I place a call internally say from 2001 to 2002, things work as expected, 2002 rings and it goes to voicemail where I can leave voicemail and listen to it from 2002.
    However, if I place call from the PSTN to the same number 2002 (or any other number in other sites etc) the call again rings in 2002 and goes to voicemail, unity cnx plays the greetings for 2002 and says record your message as usual. Everything up to point is fine, then when the time on the PSTN phone is showing around 14 seconds into the call unity starts playing, "to send this message press one", if I press one nothing happens.
    I have rebuilt unity and cucm, even just configured the bare minimum in the lab and still getting the same result. I tried calling from E1 connection and T1 connection but with the same results.
    I have run out of ideas...

    Sounds like one way audio from PSTN to your Unity Connection, couple of things to check:
    1. ensure your protocols are bound properly on the GW, i.e. SIP/H323/MGCP
    2. Make sure IP routing is OK between Unity and the voice gateway

  • Adding a forwarding link to send a pdf file to another e-mail address

    I would like to add a forwarding link to a pdf document that is available for download from my iWeb site. I would like someone to be able to forward the pdf file to another e-mail address. Can I do this in iWeb? If so, how?

    Isn't that decision rather made by the person who downloads the pdf.
    What if he doesn't forward the pdf and keeps it to himself?

  • IPad Mini mail issues

    Just switch from ipad 3 and restored from iCloud. That was a mess s I had to delete old  apps that shouldn't have installed. Now my mail only shown up for a few accounts. Other accounts  keep asking for a password which i entered numerous times. Then is says "connecting" in the status area, but no mail shows up. I tried resting network setting, no fix. I really don't want to start this ipad from scratch because this is exactly why I paid for the iCloud upgrade...to restore my settings the way I left them.

    Nevermind the mail issue. I had to reset my macmini server.

  • MBA lion Mail issue: window disappears randomly

    hello:
    Having some MBA 13' mail issues:
    1) mail window will disappear (only using cmd+0 shortcut will bring it back - or going to window>message viewer) randomly without any reason
    2) starting up a new email or new note then closing this note or email will close the entire message viewer window...why?
    3) emails deleted within the 'inbox' section will not delete in the Gmail section (setup as IMAP, with Gmail defaults)
    I am a little concerned with 1 & 2 becuase these are huge user experience issues, it is the most frustrating thing to have to continually use the short cut to open up a window which should not have disappeared in the first place!!

    I've got the same issue. It seems to happen randomly but so annoying when it does. Upgrading to Mountain Lion hasn't helped and I've changed my keyboard and reset all the short-cuts to the default settings and still it happens in Mail and Microsoft Outlook for Mac when I'm typing a mail.

  • Sender Verification Number e-mail issue.

    I have tried to e-mail photos through adobe e-mail and the system send me a notice that I need to use a "Sender Verification Number" that has been sent to my email address.  However, when I check my e-mail there is no e-mail message.  How do I get the verification number.  Adobe does have my e-mail address on file. 

    Tried this and it still not working.  Also, Get a message that some of the  files are not photos even though they are all photos from the same camera.  Could it be that Norton 360 is causisng this?  Thanks for your help.

    Open Organizer and click:
    Edit à Preferences à Sharing
    Make sure you have Adobe Email service selected
    Check the fields Your Name and Email Address and ensure you typed the details correctly.
