Another iphone into the mix at home
my husband is soon getting an iphone and I am trying to figure out how we are going to sync and stuff ( I know stuff is vague! )
I use Gmail and don't use the calendar much but he does.
What I would like to do is set up another user on the computer and have him sync to his own account. He will be using gmail, but will be using ical for his calendar reminders.
Is there a way I can set up itunes so we can both share it in our user accounts?
Iphone number 2 problem,
This issue is not that painful. I know that Itunes does do both. Itunes will remember each settings for syncing for each iphone. If you just plug it in and set up as new iphone as sync only what he wants you should be fine. You should not have to have 2 user account or two computers.

I have deleted my photos but have icloud. when i log into icloud it doesnt give me an option to view these photos at all. my photo stream is only showing photos from another iphone in the house. i am unsure if i do a restore from back up if this will work. i really dont want to lose these photos but i am very unsure of what to do to resolve. can anyone please help?
thank youIf you had Photo Stream enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone, photos in the Camera Roll should have been transferred to your photo steam automatically when the iPhone was connected to an available wi-fi network.
Your photo stream is not available when logging in with your iCloud account with a browser on a computer.
Why were the photos in the Camera Roll deleted?
Photos/videos in the camera roll are included with your iPhones backup. If your iPhone's backup has not been updated since the photos were deleted from the camera roll, you can try restoring your iPhone from the backup. -
my iphone will no longer connect to my home wifi. it recognises it, but the searching cirlce is constant next to network name. there are three laptops and another iphone on the same wifi that have no connectivity issues. i have reset the network settings but that did not help. the issue started last week when the second iphone was introduced to the house, could this be the cause?

I am trying to upload photos from my iPhone to my macbook but each time I plug my iPhone into the macbook, a message comes up which says my device is locked with a passcode and I cannot load the photos. When I plug my phone in, it is on the home screen and unlocked so I don't understand what I am doing wrong. This has never occurred before. Please help.

I plugged my Iphone into the computer to put my pics on the computer. It went strait to itunes an erased all my contacts and pictures and replaced them with my husbands contacts and photos. Can i get the contacts and photos back?
Have you synced your iPhone with iTunes on this computer before? If not, nothing is selected automatically under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
Was this the first time your iPhone was connected to iTunes on any computer? If so, the first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes for the first time that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or eyeless device to the iPhone or set up the iPhone as a new iPhone. This is not automatic, it must be manually selected. -

<Edited bu Host>Ringtones are a one-time only download from the store. You will need to connect the device that you downloaded it on to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy it over to the Tones part of your computer's iTunes library and you can then sync it to your other device(s).

I have my iPhone 4s plugged into a dock and the dock connected to an amplifier with 2 speakers and a bass, the problem is that the amplifier doesn't have a volume changer and when i plug in the iPhone into the dock the iPhone´s volume bar disappears and im not allowed to change the volume and its very loud. how can i change the volume? is there an app? any ideas??(my dock doesnt have infrared remote controller )

Apple does not repair devices beyond replacing the screen on some models or a battery replacement. They replace the ENTIRE device.
For the Out of Warranty replacement cost, you could have gotten a fully functional replacement device. Instead you chose to spend less to get only the screen replaced and continue to live with additional issues.
Apple will not touch the device now. They will know that it was opened elsewhere and that the replacement screen is not original. -
ITunes was fine until I plugged in the iPhone into the computer
Now, it freezes up, and never does detect the iPhone. All apple usb cables look alike, but they also fall apart rather easily....so we're left with one between an iPod touch, an iPod classic, and an iPhone. I'm not sure if that is the compatibility issue or not.
The only key difference I can determine is that the computer I'm currently trying to jack into is Windows 7 based.
When I plug the iPhone into the computer, I don't get a real error msg attached to any kind of code, just a general "iTunes has stopped responding" in a little popup window giving me 2 choices: close the program, or search for a solution online and then close the program.
When I choose the latter, there is a search bar for ~5s and then iTunes closes. No solution presents itself.
This happens if iTunes is already running. This also happens if I let the act of plugging in the iPhone initiate the opening of iTunes.
Any ideas? Last check desktop iTunes was fully updated.
When I unplug the iPhone, iTunes functions normally.I believe there is a problem with iTunes in the 64-bit version of 7. My husband initially installed the 64-bit version and then switched to the 32-bit because quite a few of the software packages he uses for work are not 64-bit compatible yet.
In 32-bit iTunes, he's had no problem syncing. -
My laptop got formatted and so did all my itunes information like music, contacts, and games. So how can I get all that back because if I just plug my iPhone into the laptop all my stuuf that was on my phone will be gone? help please

When I plug my iphone into the computer to restore it I receive a "network connection timed out" message. However, when I plug in other iphones or ipod touches I can connect fine. Any help would be appreciated.
Try a powered external USB hub. It uses a 120V AC wall jack to power USB devices, and the Mac only needs to provide *just enough* to comminucate. Best Buy, Target, Walmart, ... about $20.

I have a macbook pro in which i use for church recordings. it has a built in mic so like one hole for headphones and mic. how do i get it to only pick up the sound from the external mic that is coming into the mixer to the laptop. it seems to pick up everything, like for example any little movement i make or even just asking the next person a question will get picked up by the internal mic. is there a way i can mute the internal mic so it can only pick the external mic and not every movement im making like chewing etc

hey guyz.. i wanna ask if i get an updated version from itunes when i plug my iPhone into the Pc, i get a letter tells me that there is an update for your iPhone ... i wanna ask is it safe to download ?? and does it make any side effects on longTerm using ??
It is safe to download if your phone is not jailbroken. Before you download it, however, take some precautions:
Reboot your computer
Disable your antivirus and firewall
Connect the phone cable to a USB port directly on the computer, not a hub
Before updating right click on the name of the phone in iTunes and choose "Backup"
When you are given the choice choose "Download only", not "Download and Update"
After the download completes successfully click the Update button to install it.
Most of these steps are just being overly cautious, as most people ignore them and have no problems. But occasionally the extra steps save grief. -

Do I need an audio interface between my roland keyboard and alesis 8.0 multitrack mixer when interfacing with Garage Band? Or can I just go direct USB MAC into the Alesis Mixer with keyboard directly into the Mixer? ie, is the interface overkill?
First of all the Alesis 8.0 is a usb audio interface so you already have a interface. Next you could go from the Roland into the Alesis into the Mac. You could also go from the Roland headphone or line out into the Mac Pro audio input. And depending on what Roland keyboard you have, you may be able to use Midi (usb) and use the Macs Midi voices.
