Any alterative application upload methods?

Hey all,
My app is 1 gigabyte in size and I'm having problems with the upload. With my Internet connection the upload should take about 3 hours, but when I check back after about an hour the upload screen is gone and I see a page saying the connection is Reset.
I know that 1+ GB app size is allowed because some of the navigation apps are greater than 1 GB.
Are there any alternative upload methods?

Devs have two choices for uploading apps...
One is via a web broswer and iTunes Connect.
The other is 'Application Loader'....which is recommended for larger apps.
Apple recommends the loader for binaries that are over 200MB. You can find the loader by following these steps from within iTunes Connect:
• Choose Manage Your Applications
• Scroll to the bottom of the page
• Click the Get Application Loader link
• Click the Download Developer Guide link as well if you don't have this document yet.
To use app loader, during the process of adding a new application to the App Store, when prompted in iTunes Connect (on the Upload tab), click the checkbox that says Check here to upload your binary later....then run Application Loader and it will respond and ask which binary, etc.

You mean take the cover off of the iPhone, to look inside? I'd recommend against it. Even with warranty expired, you might qualify for an out-of-warranty service, which for 3GS is $149.
Other than that, any repair/service options are going to cost money. You might want to see if a wireless carrier will let you get a new contract & phone.
Out of curiousity, you're just using at as, basically, an iPod Touch, if there's no cell provider? Did I understand that correctly?

Hi Jatin,
Yes, of course you can upload multiple files for tariff codes.
This can be done by the below path:-
SAP GTS Cockpit(tcode-/sapsll/menu_legal)-->Customs Management-->Classification-->Classification Master Data-->Upload Tariff Code Numbers from XML file(tocde- /SAPSLL/LLNS_UPL101).
In the above area after browsing and choosing the first file, please select multiple check box to choose more files as well. Then you can further select your application server and upload all those files in one go.
PS:- Although, we have an option to upload multiple such files but actually we should avoid multiple file uploads due to various reasons. Hence, please take utmost care during such procedure.

How do I call an Application Module method from a EntityImpl class?

Using Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.3.0.
I've got a price update form, that when submitted, takes the part numbers and prices in the form and updates the corresponding Parts' price in the Parts table. Anytime this Parts view object's ReplacementPrice attribute is changed, an application module method needs to be called which updates a whole slew of related view objects. I know you can modify view objects via associations (How do I call an Application Module method from a ViewObjectImpl class? but that's not what I'm trying to do. These AppModuleImpl methods are the hub for all price updates, as many different operations may affect related pricing (base price lists, price buckets, etc) and hence, call the updatePartPricing(key) method.
For some reason, the below code does not call / run / activate the application module's method. The AppModuleDataControl exists and recordPartHistory(key) is registered and public. At runtime, the am.<method> code is simply ignored, and as a weird side-effect, I cannot navigate out of my current page flow.

Turns out the code provided was correct, but the AppModuleImpl method being called was not. A dependent ViewObject wasn't returning the row I was expecting. I then tried to perform some operations on that row, which in turn ... just stopped everything, but didn't give me an error.
It was the lack of the error that threw me off. I had never messed with calling an AppModuleImpl method from the EntityImpl so I assumed that's what was messing up.
You are correct. It is available from the ViewRow, but I thought it better to put it in the EntityImpl. This method will be called every time the replacement cost is modified. If I didn't put it in the EntityImpl, I'd have to remember to call it every time a replacement cost changed.

Icon issues in XCode Application Uploader

We are currently updating our applications. When I try to upload the binary through the Xcode Application updater I continue to get this message,
I have tried with with 2 different application uploads and recieved the same results. Everything went smoothly with the viewer builder. I have double checked all of the icons and they are all built to the correct size and have been saved as .pngs
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OOOOOOK. I literally just kept rebuilding the 72x72 icon, rebuilding the app, and resubmitting to the application uploader. On the 5th try it worked and the build submitted sucessfully. I wish I could say I felt it was solved, but at least everything I needed to get out today is off to Apple. I do not think this is a DPS issue, but more of an Xcode thing. I hope it works itself out!!

Problem is;
We have an terminal pc connected to an Production Machine and has a PLC for reading Machine Actual Datas. This terminal has Windows CE.NET OS. There is one program which Appending PLC Data to Text file (STORAGE CARD\PLC\SAMPLE.TXT).
Users can access to WAS system in this Terminal (Has network).
I have to access to SAMPLE.TXT file using BSP when user antered a page in WAS.
Have you got any solution. I have tried so much methods to do this. But i have not found any solution.

How to upload Methods long text using LSMW

I am using LSMW - direct input program (Object 0001 Method - 0001) to upload methods long text.
I have two files with header and item as below
Header file:
Object : QPMETHODE
ID : QMTT
Item_id : link between header and item (method number)
NAME: Passing concatenated value of "sy-mandt, company code, Method number, 6 char space for version and language"
Language : E or S.
Item file:
Item_id : link between header and item (Method number)
Text Format : blank
Text line : long text
Here the problem is, after converting the data i have run the direct input program to upload the long text, but it is not updated in the transaction QS34.
Could any one help in this?

The field QMTT-LTEXTKZ is a flag which says whether Inspection method has a long text associated with it at transaction level. You are not able to see the Long text in the transaction though you have loaded & able to see the long text by FM READ_TEXT because in your case the field QMTT-LTEXTKZ = ' '. so I suggest you to load the long text in following way.
Step 1: make a small recording to Tx: QS33 - push the long text button to get the long text editor. in this editor, on second line of the tag, put a * and save the transaction. By this way you put a X in field QMTT-LTEXTKZ & hence register a longtext for Inspection Method.
Step 2: proceed with the loading the Long text with object 0001as you mentioned.
Now you will be able to see the LT on the transaction level.

Antivirus software breaks FileReference.upload() method...

Hi there,
I'm a Flash developer who's run into an interesting problem since upgrading to AVG 9 (free antivirus software).
I use Flash to facilitate large uploads to websites (eg. video). I've built plently of upload widgets that use Flash's FileReference.upload() method to send a file from a users computer to a webserver.
It seems that since upgrading to AVG 9, the bytesLoaded property of a ProgressEvent is being updated at warp speed - a 30mb file appears sent to a server in less than a second! Which is ridiculous. So in an instant, the bytesLoaded property equals the bytesTotal property. Seemingly an arbitrarily time later, the Event.COMPLETE event fires (I think this arbitrarial illusion is caused by the upload continuing in the background). If everything was running as it's supposed to, this should generally be followed by a DataEvent.UPLOAD_COMPLETE_DATA event firing. But now, because of all this weirdness, no DataEvent.UPLOAD_COMPLETE_DATA event is firing.
After a bit of websurfing I found other developers having problems with this because of virus software - so I've uninstalled AVG and "voila!", Flash now works as it is supposed to when uploading a file again.
I guess I could build a polling timer into my uploader to continually ping the server to check that my upload had complete and grab my upload complete data that way, but that'd be annoying as heck.
Any ideas what's going on? This is kind of a massive problem, ProgressEvent returning bogus bytesLoaded data, isn't it?

I agree in disabling the LinkScanner. Open AVG User Interface, Dbl click on the LinkScanner and Untick the "Enable AVG Search-Shield" and the "Enable Active Surf-Shield" then SAVE the changes made.

Can anyone reproduce this behavior?

Three things need to check:
1. If you are using a third party API, first check it
from vendor.
2. If you are using Java based imaging capabilities,
see an good example of JFileChooserDemo at java
tutorial department.
3. It could be error coming from your imaging software
(if your program is doing scanning)
Please post more code that runs this for further
investigation.
The answer is no to all of them, but i am implementing java2d functions. There is quite a lot of code, which spans over 2 classes. Are there any code snippets you would like to see in particular?

Itune connect stuck on waiting for application upload

hello
after one waiting for my app review it was rejected because it had iTouch on its name
now i have changed the name, updated metadata, and created new binary
but i don´t have any way of uploading it now
the button to update binary that appeared after being rejected is now gone
i tried to use application loader and it reports upload success but on the app status keeps showing waiting for upload
i am getting crazy with this...
so much bureaucracy and lack of communication keeps me too away from developing that is what i was supposed to be doing

Apple's developer support for iPhone app writers have been a joke, My app has been going through the hoops in itunes connect, but i never know if there is something i should be doing to get it further. The least they could do is have a simple FAQ which explains what you need to do for each step and how long the overall process is expected to take.

How to invoke Application Module method from entity object methods

Hi,
We have an existing Application Module which provides some validation logic. We are using OperatingBinding or getting the Application Module instance from the bindings and then invoking the app module methods in the view controller project.
But in our current scenario, We need to invoke the application module method from the setAttribute method in the entity object when ever an entity attribute value is changed . I believe we can call createRootApplicationModule method to create application module instance. But this may lead to performance overhead.
Can you please suggest, if there is any alternative to invoke the application module method inside the business components.

We have a pricing service, which was developed as a separate application. We need to invoke the pricing service with the change in certain attributes of the entity object and update some of the attributes of the current entity object. At present we are handling these calls to the pricing service in the ui layer in the valueChangeListener.
But we would like to move this service call into setAttribute method as we are unable to prevent the call to the service if the model validations fail. I am looking for the best possible approach for invoking the service calls from the entity objects.

Am trying to preview my epub in a viewer. I have downloaded Xcode only to save time so when my ebook is read i can do the proper process. Now when i do export it takes me to Application uploader which somehow doesn't accept my password.
Any Advice?
