Any Help will be apreciated, I am having problems printing with my Epson PX720WD using Aperture software. I am getting banding across the photo equal distances apart (25mm), plus it appears to be printing at high speed.
When printing on my Epson PX720WD using Aperture 3 I get lines across the photo 25mm apart, it also appears to be printing at high speed. I have no problems when I print through Epson Easy print.

HT6030 Anyone Having Problems Scanning with an Epson WF-3520 Printer?
Ever since I upgraded to Mavericks, the scanning function on my printer has slowed to a crawl and become unreliable, frequently hanging shortly after the scanner initializes. The Epson web site points to Apple Software Update for a solution, indicating that there should be an Epson update available. But no such luck - at least that I can see. Any suggestions or possible work-arounds? Is there other scanning software that would work with 10.9 and my Epson?

Odd Even Printing with OS-X Tiger using free software
I have solved the problem of printing large documents so that they come out double-sided, using a standard printer.
First, download the free text-to-pdf app:

When you run this app, you don't see much, but that's OK. The icon is on the bottom in the toolbar waiting to do its work.
Now, take the document you want to print double-sided (the app takes most docs, text, etc). If it's an HTML page, copy it, paste it in TextEdit and, if necessary, convert it to plain text.
Now drag the document over the Icon for "Text to PDF" in the tool bar and, Voila!, as they say, you now have a PDF copy of your original document. It will be in the same folder as the original. I use the desktop since it's convenient.
Now you can print the PDF document using Adobe reader which does have the option to print odd and even pages separately.
Print the odd pages, take out the stack and put them back into the printer feeder so that the backside of page 1 is next to print.
Now print the even pages, and if you have done everything right you have a perfect double-sided copy of your original document.
It's a lot easier to do than it seems by reading what I wrote, but once you do it, you see that it's actually quite trivial:
Run the text-pdf app
Drag your document over the icon in the tool bar
That's it.
If you need to get rid of pictures, images, etc., first copy the document into TextEdit, convert to plain text (maybe rtf will also work?) and then drag that doc over the icon.

You don't need to go to all that trouble. You can print odd or even pages from any document using the options available in any print window. Use the pop up menu "Copies & Pages" and look under "Paper Handling". You will see that you have a variety of choices on how to print your documents.
If the document is long enough to justify it, I will print the odd pages (reverse order depending on the printer). While those pages are printing, I will bring up the print window again. This time I will use the "Scheduler" menu item to place the job on Hold. Then I select to print the even number of pages. Click the Print button. The even numbered pages will be sent into the printer's queue. After the odd number of pages are done printing, I can reload the paper, highlight the job for the even numbered pages and tell it to Resume Printing. For longer jobs, I can be "done" with the document I want to print having sent both print jobs to the printer. I can do some other work while printing finishes.

Since upgrading to lion and updating HP software my printer ( HP photosmart D5160 driver 3.3.0) will not print to CD/DVD,when I try it says "your printer does not support CD printing". any help will be welcome.
I see those are old posts above but I'm just now having the same problems. I have the original software CD that came with my Photosmart D5160 printer but I can't load it. I get the message "You can't open the application "HP Installer" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported". So I don't have that going for me, which is not nice! But I couldn't really care less about that if I can just find a CD labeler software that will print from my Mac to the D5160. I'd rather by new CD labeler software than a new printer. I've tried a few free CD labeler software downloads, including iWinSoft Label Maker, but nothing has worked so far. I think there's an answer somewhere; I'm able to print documents on regular paper using this printer, but I only bought it (many years ago) to print CD labels and some pictures. It's been used only sparingly and it's been in storage since I bought my Mac 3 years ago, mainly because a I got a free printer with my purchase. Any help is vertainly appreciated!!!

I did not deactivate a photoshop cs6 before there was a new "C" hard drive installed on my computer and a Win7 Pro fresh install too. How can I activate photoshop on the new hardware if I can't deactivate it on the old hardware that is no longer available? Any help will be appreciated.

When I copy a CD onto my macbook pro I sometimes get several songs that are "out" of the album. How do I get them all together in one album? Any help will be much appreciated as I cannot seem to find the solution to this problem in the troubleshooting section of iTunes.
Generally all you need do is give tracks from the same album a common Album Artist. See Grouping tracks into albums. The images need an update but the basic info. still holds.

Im working on the development of a rotative banner, for someone that doesnt know what it is is a banner (in several web pages you can find one) that change the image present in it once on a while (every certain time), and each one of those image represent a point of entry for accessing to an specific place in almost all of the cases, different web pages in my case a specific portals role, user profile. The images that I want to present in the banner are store in the km repository. I found a solution that serves me well for my purpose, but I need to find another solution for achieve my goal and now I going to explain why:
Im using a JSPDynpage PAR, as a parameters of this *.PAR , I get the all the paths where the images are physically store on the server, the names of those images and the paths of the roles (in the PCD) associated to each one of those image. In the before output method, I get the complete path where the image is store, and put it (render it) on my iview, then is executed a wait method and finally with the SUBMIT method, I send again the information (some variables that I need to change the image in the banner) to the browser and that result in the continuing refresh (request response cycle) of my browser. Its important to know that only the iviews *.PAR is refreshing when the submit method is execute, not all the page. Know, like I said before all works fine, but the problem is that I want to do this but I dont want that my browser refresh every certain time so the question is: is there another way to do this using EPCM API and avoiding the use of the submit method (no refresh the browser)?

there is a possibility to make a request to the server without refresh. You can use the XMLHttpRequest object.
1. create an AbstractPortalComponent component, that will return the desired output into the response (image with link). Let's call this component DataComponent.
2. create a component, that will output a DIV object with ID for example "myDivId" and a Javascript, that will periodically call a JS function (some JS <i>setTimeout(JsFunctionToCall(), waitTimeInMiliseconds)</i>). In this function you will create a XMLHttpRequest object (different for Mozilla and MSIE):

sudo update_dyld_shared_cache
Press RETURN. You will be prompted to enter your admin password which will not be echoed to the screen. Press RETURN again.
Next, boot the computer into Safe Mode.
Next, do the following:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless. -
Hi, I recently downloaded photoshop elements for dummies from ibooks to use on my ipad, the book refers to pictures throughout however what are supposed to be pics and diagrams only show up as a ?. Im unsure why and dont know how to get the pictures to show. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

*Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
*Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
*Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
*Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
*Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Have you tried booting with the install disc that came with your computer?
Find it and then run Disk Utility to verify your hard drive. If errors are found, try to repair the disk.
It sounds as if the hard drive might be failing.
