Any Luck Editing Actions on Events with ASA SSM
W are running an ASA 5540 failover pair with SSM-40 modules. When using the IME version 7.0.2 to manage the IPS we have not been successful in getting anything to work but "Deny Attacker Inline." Nothing else works. We have tried every option under the Actions and none work. There are many signatures that we would like blocked, but only that signature. ie. block Bittorrent but allow internet access.
If you manage the device through ASDM or IME should not make a difference.
What I would suggest is to test the action on a simple signature, like the ICMP ones (e.g. Sig 2004, you have to enable it first) and not a complex one like P2P etc.
Also what is exactly happening with the other actions? Do you see the signature fire in IME with the 'action' listed? Or the action field is empty in the IME alerts? Or the signature does not fire at all?

Anyone have any luck Imaging a Lenovo T420 with ZEN 10?
I have a ZEN 10 server setup and got the latest (March 2011) BootCD.iso, but still am unable to image one of the New Lenovo T420 Laptops. Has anyone had any luck, or have a bootcd.iso that will work with them?

How do I edit existing Calendar Events with Applescript?
I've got a script that needs to add a URL to an existing Calendar event. I've tried everything I can think of but can't get it to work. Here's what I've got so far, that's working, but it's missing the last piece:

Any Photo editing tips to help with my wildlife photo contest entry?
I'm admittedly not the greatest with Photoshop, but I'm definitely an excellent photographer. Is there anything that Photoshop can offer in terms of making my wildlife photos look more 'life-like' for when I enter these photos into a wildlife photo contest? Any help is appreciated.
You are only allowed minimal adjustments in every Natural History competition I have ever heard of. Brightness and contrast sort of thing, and maybe - at a stretch - tone down distraction elements. But competions bring out the worst in some people, and I know a few who cheat.

Can i share a calendar event with another iphone?
My husband and kids and I all have IPhone 4's. Is there any way to "share" calendar events with each other as we do contacts??
You need to create a calendar, that you share.
After creating the calendar, click on the Calendar-Button in the upper right corner of the iCal Window, then select ,"Share" from the drop down menu.
Choose "Share with only people you invite".
Then add your event to this calendar. -
Unable to edit "calendar" field of events with invitees
I am having a couple problems with the "calendar" drop-down field on calendar events.
This is on a 4S, iOS5, syncing calendars with iCloud.
If I create an event with an "invitee" (or add an invitee to an existing event), I can no longer change the "calendar" field of that event. In fact, the "calendar" drop-down doesn't even appear on the iPhone calendar app's "Edit" dialog for events that have an invitee. I can still change it via the web interface at www.icloud.com, and the change is even pushed to the iPhone. But on the iPhone itself, I cannot find a way to change the "calendar" field on an event that contains one or more "invitees".
Second, if I receive an "invitation" from someone else, I cannot find a way specify which of my calendars I want the event on when accepting it. I would expect it to go to the calendar I have defined as "default" in Settings, but it seems instead to go to the last calendar I created. And after accepting it, I cannot change it because the "Edit" dialog doesn't display the "calendar" field, as mentioned above. Again, I can change it via the web interface at www.icloud.com, but cannot find a way to change it directly on the iPhone.
Am I missing some way to edit/change the "calendar" field of an event with invitees? Or to select which calendar I want events to be on when I "accept" invitations from others?I have the same problem. I recently updated to iOS5 and set up syncing through iCloud.
I was able to add one event into my iphone calendar app, but for the next event that I tried to add, there was no longer the option to choose a calendar and when I tried to add it by tapping "Done," an error message came up: "No calendar is set". and there was no way to select a calendar.
I was able to add the event on my Google Calendar on my laptop (PC), and it synced automatically, but I wasn't able to add any events from the iphone itself because "no calendar is set".
I tried turning off and on the phone and syncing back to my laptop, but the problem persisted.
I deleted the iCloud account on my iphone, and that seemed to fix the problem; I'm able to add events again from the iphone and it's syncing to my Google Calendar.
I then signed on to iCloud and setup syncing again, but turned off syncing everything except photostream, documents&data, and find my iphone since everything else would sync to outlook or internet explorer, neither of which I use.
That might have been the problem. For PC, iCloud will only sync to Outlook and Internet Explorer, and I don't have Outlook setup (can't connect to my work's email server with my account and the IT guys don't know how to fix it or they're too lazy to troubleshoot) and I only use Firefox and Chrome. Since iCloud isn't syncing to any calendars on Outlook, there aren't any calendars set...
I just did this a minute ago and everything seems to be back to normal, including the ability to choose a calendar when adding events.

Any luck with windows support software?

Has anyone had any luck getting past the windows support software not being available on the Apple server? I've got a 17" late 2006 imac and have lion running on it (10.7.4), plus windows 7 home edition but I cannot get the software to download I have tried the old drivers bootcamp 3.3 as I had read you can load those then update but that comes up with the message that the drivers on my machine dont need the update! All very frustrating i should also add that I'm not at all technically minded, any help would be much appreciated...BCA is the "update" method from 3.3 to 4.0

As to why BCA in Lion won't... mystery. Sometimes network settings, sometimes a user has installed Norton and have trouble - which would be the firewall and web access port BCA tries to use is not configured properly.
If I were you I would be sure to buy and use WinClone 3 $20 to make a backup image of Windows to another hard drive (not your OS X boot drive) and then keep that in case you need to restore or reinstall Windows.
Other than graphic driver (AMD etc), security and normal Windows updates, there is nothing from Apple that would help. -
in ical I just added new calendars to a pre-existing calendar group, I can make events with these calendars, but not reminders, any suggestions?

Lion has changed the way reminders (todos as was) work. They now seem to need to be in a seperate calendar.
In iCal open the File menu and select New Reminder List... and select where to put it.

How to cancel an edit to an iCal event with attendees
I keep running into this--
- Open an existing event with attendees
- Make an edit of some kind
- Change your mind
- Forget what changes you made and/or not wish to let everyone already invited know that iCal is sometimes as crappy as Outlook.
- Only have the options to keep editing or send/update (i.e. send the updates to everyone)

The concensus seems to be that you can't do it.
However this seems to work for me (when I'm desparate):
Quit iCal
Go to the "Library" folder in your home directory, then to the "Calendars" folder (i.e. ~/Library/Calendars)
Delete the files "Calendar Cache~" and "Calendar Cache~" (you don't need to empty your trash)
Reopen iCal. It will resync the calendar.
I've only tried this with Exchange calendar items that have already synced with the server, so your milage may vary. I suppose it's possible that you may lose data this way.
Hope this helps someone since it doesn't seem like Apple is going to fix this anytime soon!In step 3 above I said delete "Calendar Cache~" twice. I meant: delete "Calendar Cache" and also "Calendar Cache~" if that exists as well.

Any luck with 3.1.3 anyone? I am captive to a wi-fi connection and its getting really annoying not being able to use the 3g service when I leave my house. The solution(s) provided so far have done nothing to fix the problem. This is in regards to apps crashing and no internet service while on the iphone 3g network.
I have tried all the fixes suggested multiple times then went to apple store and the guy told me I should buy a new phone? Just hoping the issue isn't dead as it still seems to be a problem for some, lots of threads about it still being reported as an issue.

Suggest to track file download event with applet or any other way
Hello,
I am trying to write a code which will handle a file download event. I want my program to to do a change in database when a file downloading completes.
I thought there might have some way to track this event through javascript and if tracked I'll make an ajax call to a serverside page to serve my purpose. But haven't found any way to track such event.
I don't know whether it is at all possible or not.
Any one has any idea??

But if the size of the file is say 4mb and somehow in the halfway of downloading, if any problem occurs through any browser, will java server be able to track that exception??
I'm not sure, I'm trying to figure out....

My iCal used to default to one hour when I posted an event with a start time and no end time. The user guide says it will default to one hour. Since I started using OS Lion, my calendar doesn't do that. Can anyone suggest a way for me to get the calendar to default to one hour again? Thanks.

Here are some iCal data entry tips from iCal Help:
Enter a name, date, and time duration for the event, and then press Return.
For example, you can enter “Super Bowl Party Feb 5,” “Movie with Rebecca on Friday at 7pm,” “Soccer Game on Saturday from 11am-1pm,” or “Breakfast with Jon,” and then press Return.
If you don’t enter a time duration for the event, iCal sets the event’s duration to 1 hour.
If you don’t enter any time information for the event, iCal makes the event an all-day event.
If you enter “breakfast” or “morning,” iCal sets the event to start at 9 a.m.
If you enter “lunch “ or “noon,” iCal sets the event to start at 12 p.m.
If you enter “dinner” or “night,” iCal sets the event to start at 8 p.m.
