Any point to the 160gb model?

ok so the subject title asks whether there's any point to the 160gb Apple tv?,
the reason for the question is simply the fact that my mac (powerbook G4) only has an 80gb HD, so at most my iTunes library would top out at around 50gb,
my question is can the Apple TV store more content than the host computer?,
ie can I tell the apple tv to keep music that no longer resides on my mac while at the same time adding new music to the Apple tv via my macs iTunes?
or will it want to sync both mac and Apple tv to have the same music library,
confused? well I did ramble on a bit there but you get the idea,
any info would be great, cheers

i'm assuming that you pointed iTunes to the new Library on the external?
preference > advanced > general tab > iTunes Music folder location > +change the path to the folder on new drive+
then just set up from the appleTV like you are going to sync from the new iTunes Lib on the external
this is copy pasted from another post...
go to iTunes
click on the AppleTV icon under devices
go to the Summary Tab
IMPORTANT!! click on "Custom Sync" and *uncheck "Show only synced items on AppleTV"* this will result in the un-synced files being shown right beside the synced ones... only thing is that when you select them from the appleTV, they will be streamed since they are not actually on the appleTV. no need to go to "Shared" anymore.. the appleTV will play the synced one if it's there, if they are not it will stream them
then go to each tab and click on what you want to sync.. the rest will be streamed
you must sync Photos to see them on the AppleTV though +i turn off all syncing except for photos.. the odd time you may want to sync something, you just go to the tab and check it's check box+
that's it..

Is there a way to allow a user to move playhead to any point on the progress bar (including much ahead of the loaded portion of the movie) and resume play from there?
Presently a user can skip ahead only as far as the download happened.

Besides kglad's excellant response, there is also the option to use "http pseudostreaming".
This will also give you the ability to "seek" to sections of a video file which are not yet downloaded. It is typically cheaper than using FMS or RED5, but still may require that you have a dedicated server account (which is much more expensive than a shared server account). But check with your Web host, some offer pretty good options for enabling http pseudostreaming:

Refreshing access points in the environment, models???

I am slowly going through the environment replacing the 80 AIR-1252 access points. I have decided to replace our 1142s at the same time so that the environment is up to date. I was curious what the recommended replacement is for these access points. I saw that Cisco recommends the 1262 as the replacement for the 1252.
I work for an oil and gas company with locations throughout the country. We are using two 5508s with Flex Connect running the latest 7.3 code with consideration for 7.4 in the next 6 months. Our sites are a mix of office space with warehouse or other rugged environments. I am thinking 2602s to replace the 1142s and 1252s mounted in the offices and I am considing 1242s to replace the 1252s mounted in our warehouse/truck bay environments.

Well the 1262 did replace the 1252, but then Cisco came out with the 3502e and the 3602e. So maybe what you should look at is using the 2602i's in the office areas and maybe the 2602e's in the rugged area or even look at the 3502e/3602e. This way you have all AP's that can support CleanAir.

After unlink or unthread the last text frame, it still points to the old story

I used 'kTextUnlinkCmdBoss' to unlink the last text frame from the thread, however, after the command is processed if I access the textModel of the box as follows it still points to the old model:

Powerpivot Error on Refresh -- "We couldn't get data from the data model..."

I'm using Excel 2013 and Windows 8.1. I have a spreadsheet I've been using for over a year, and I've just started getting this error message when I try to refresh the data.
"We couldn't get data from the Data Model. Here's the error message we got:
The 'attributeRelationship' with 'AttributeID' - 'PuttDistCat9' doesn't exist in the collection"
Any idea how I can fix this problem? I haven't changed anything related to that particular attribute. All the data is contained in separate sheets in the workbook, so there are no external sources of data.

I found a slightly older version of the spreadsheet that still refreshes properly, so I don't think I have any issues with the version of Excel or Power Query. (I've had this same error before, and I believe I applied the hotfix at that time.)
I think this problem started after I updated a number of the date filters in the pivot tables. I haven't made any changes to the data model, and the only updates I've made were to add data (which I do all the time), and to change the date filters on
the pivot tables.
As suggested, I added a new pivot table querying one table (the table with the attribute that shows up in the error message), and it worked fine. I can also refresh this pivot table.
Then I tried adding a pivot table which went against several tables in the data model (including the table in question). The pivot table seemed to return that data properly. However, when I tried to refresh it, I got the same error message ("we
couldn't get data from the data model...").
Dany also suggested running the queries one at a time to see which one is in error. Without checking all the pivot tables, it appears that any which use the table "HolePlayedStrokes" generate the error (this is the table with the attribute
mentioned in the error message). Pivot Tables without that particular table seem to refresh OK. Unfortunately, that is the main table in my data model, so most of the pivot tables use it.
Any other suggestions? I'd be happy to send a copy of the spreadsheet.

SQL Developer - problems with the Data Modeller part

Hi SQL Developer users,
I can open the Data Modeler pane, but I can't insert any object into the logical model or into the relational model. Any ideas about what I'm doing wrong? Do I need specific privileges to the database, or do I need to install SQL Developer in a different way?

Implementing interrupt-like funtionality in the process model

My application requires testing high-power semiconductor devices. These devices are water-cooled to keep from exceeding operational temperatures. I am considering developing my process model to handle the water-cooling which entails monitoring water flow, temperature, and pressure and, if any of these parameters leaves an acceptable range, throw an error the test sequence.
I know that TS can run a sequence in the process model after each step in the sequence file but I don't think that it will be acceptable if my step is longer than it takes for a fault condition to be generated. For that reason, I am trying to understand if there is a means to terminate the test sequence if any fault in the process model occurs.
What is the best way to implement this kind of behavior?

You are right, editing the process model to check the current state your system after each step would not be the best approach.
I would recommend running a separate sequence in a new thread within your execution. This standalone thread would check the state of your system and throw the error you desire upon your system going out of desirable ranges. This will run concurrently during your entire test.

Tiger freezes when screensaver runs or any time during the work

Hello everyone!
After I've connected LaCie external hard-drive, Tiger freezes every time screensaver runs. Sometimes it happens at any point during the work without any reason. I can move the mouse (when screensaver is on, though, after I moved the mouse the screen would go blank). LaCie works great and I don't think the problem is in it.
Also, right before this started I'd installed the Mac OS X 10.4.6 update. May be that is the reason. I don't know. I did what is in http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=487116
In particular, I re-installed Mac OS X 10.4.6 combo update - it won't work. I've done permissions repairment, disk repairment, etc. Disk didn't require any repairments.
I tried disconnecting LaCie it won't help as well. What else might be done before I re-install Mac OS X itself (which I really don't want to do).

Since you've restarted and hard reset, the next step is to restore it. Make sure you have it backed up via iTunes and then setup as new.

To display the co-odinates of a point on the waveform

In my project it is required to display the co-ordinates of a point when i click on any point of the averaged waveform.

When you start an acquisition, all the samples are stored into onboard memory in a circular buffer. You then use "niScope Fetch" to request the data from memory, and the samples are sent via DMA to the host and to your application. Since the buffer is a circular buffer, if you don't fetch the records fast enough (or the sample rate is too fast), then its possible for the acquisition to fill up the entire onboard memory, and then begin overwriting the old samples. No error is thrown when this occurs when using the PXIe-5162. Instead, when you attempt to fetch data that has been overwritten, the "niScope Fetch" VI will return the following error:
"Error -107411863 occurred at niScope Fetch....
Possible reason(s):
The requested data has been overwritten in memory so it is no longer available for fetching."

Screen sharing setup in 10.5, 10.6 are described by the links by operating system. 10.7 is fairly similar to 10.6.
And if both Macs have Firewire, you can setup a Firewire over IP network for fast communication between machines. Note if you have two different Firewire ports a 6 pin to 9 pin Firewire cable does exist. There are no Firewire to USB cables.

It has DVI ports. This means you are best to use an adapter that supports DVI. Note there is no audio that carries over DVI. What you need is a mini-Displayport to DVI adapter, and the proper DVI cable. Since Dell doesn't have the specs, you'll need to tell us if you have pins or holes, and how many are grouped.

Any point to the 160gb model?
