  • Is there ANY way to keep track of changes or versions in a dynamic form, viewed in Reader

    I need to provide a measure of content control.
    I looked at acrobat.com for help.  There is a rather convoluted method and I don't know if I can get my company to go along with it.
    I have a dynamic form and it has to be dynamic, so I cannot change it to static to give it Comment/Markup ability - out of the question.
    Does anyone know of ANY way to keep track of changes or comments or anything? And if you know, please be as specific as possible.
    Thanks!

    No replies, so I assume that there isn't any way to do this at present. Do people agree that this would be a really useful feature?

  • Where is the file that keeps track of which mail items were open?

    Searching for the file that keeps track of which mail items were open- sometimes it suddenly is shorter, forgets some of the items of mail that was open, in my 'in box' as it were.
    just happened to me- 15 emails I wanted to keep open till I answered them are now lost back in the mail stack
    any idea where i can find that, retrieve from a backup done last week?
    any trick to fixing this problem?
    hope so
    i gotta track down some of those emails, will be a huge chore to do it one by one

    Good luck with that; it's not likely to happen.
    any trick to fixing this problem?
    You could just reply to the email right away, rather than putting it off until later, whenever "later" happens to be. Or, you could also put your emails that have not yet been replied to in a separate folder, and move them out into your Inbox when you have replied.

  • Do we have any Standard table in CRM having all the Cities of World?

    Hi Folks,
    We want to impliment an serach help case for City in our screen and would like to know, do we have any standard table in SAP CRM with all the Cities in world.
    Thanks
    PG

    I'd add to Joaquin's answer that the standard table for cities is ADRCITY table (not ADRC). And if you have maintained SAP Regional Structure then there will be standard search help available for the street field.
    And you can read more about [SAP Regional Structure here|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm700_ehp01/helpdata/EN/e0/597b52e88b11d4b35d0050dadef62b/frameset.htm].

  • How to keep track of changes in PHP project?

    I am doing a large project with PHP language. I would like to use some tool to keep track of each change I make. It would be very nice to go back to different phases and situations before changes. It seems hard to keep track of everything by hand.
    What web-based or other tools could I use that would keep track of changes?

    There are numerous version control systems including google:CVS, google:SVN and google:mercurial to name but a few - give SVN a try.
    Unless you run it locally the best way to get access to a SVN repo is to get yourself a project on somewhere like google:gna or google:berlios - I'm sure they'd be happy to support you

  • Keep track of changes

    Hi Experts,
    Is it true that BPS cubes are able to keep track of changes whereas basic cube cannot? Pls help confirm this for me. Thanks.
    And, what is 'value type' as used in BPS? What is its meaning, function, purpose?
    Hope to hear from you.
    Mirella

    Mirella,
    Well, it is partially true that BPS keep track of changes.  What happens is that BPS creates difference records.  So if you had amount of 100 from before and you change it to 80, it creates a difference record of -20.  If you change it again to 110 after saving the previous one, it creates a difference record of 30 so 100,-20,30 gives you an aggregated number of 110.  If you compress the cube, they woudl get consolidated back to 1 record.
    Value type or 0VTYPE in BW is often used in planning to denote different type of data such as
    10 - Actual
    20 - Plan
    etc.
    it could be the basis to lock data i.e. Actual 10 data slice, to know what is actual and what is other types,  and basically denote the type or maybe even indirectly the source of the data.
    Hope this helps, Mary

    Awaiting regards,
    I would not recommend touching the standard tables at all unless you are being guided by the SR. For a record to be in the standard table it should go through series of validations based on the what operation you are performing and some times datas are dependent upon the other tables, and also some times the same records are hit to so many other tables simultaneously.
    Therefore I would not recommend this brother.
    Thanks &

  • Adding a counter that keeps track of the total number of times a loop has run, even if LabVIEW has been restarted.

    Hi all,
    I am writing a VI for measuring data and inserting it into a database. The measurements are controlled by a loop that runs once every minute. I want to give each measurement a unique id number and store this too in the database.
    To do this, I want to add a counter to this loop so that I can count the number of times the loop has executed in total. This is, even if the VI, LabVIEW or even th PC is restarted, I want the counter to keep track of the number of executions. If say, the loope executes two times and then the VI is stopped and restarted, I want the following number on the counter to be three.
    Does anyone have an idea about how to do this? I am gratefule for any help!

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Not allowed to give away code but I can describe one of my "Totalizers" used to keep track of how much stuff has passed through a fliter so we know when to change it.
    THe Total izer is implemented as an Action Engine.
    It has three actions (methods)
    1) Init - Opens an ini file and reads the last values read and cahces these in shift registers. It also inits a timer so we now how long since the last file I/O.
    2) Update - Uses the data passed by the caller to update the totals. It also checks how long since the last save and if more than one minute it writes to the ini file (forced write).
    3) Read - returns the totals for display and evealuating if a an alarm should be triggered to change the filter.
    Note:
    THe pre-LV 8.6 version of the ini file exposed methods to allow writing to the file. The new ini functions do not expose that functionality and require closing the file.

  • How to design a fact table to keep track of active dimensions?

    I would like to design a classic OLAP facts table using a star scheme. The SQL model of the facts table should be independent of any concrete RDBMS technology and portable between different systems.
    The problem is this: users should be able to select subsets of the facts based on conjunctive queries on the dimension values defined for the facts. However, the program that provides the interface for doing this to the user should only present those dimensions where anything is still selectable at all. For example, if a user selected year 2001 and for dimension contract code there is only a single value for all records in the fact table for that year, this dimension should not be shown to the user any more. This should be solved in a generic way. So for n dimensions in total, if the current set of facts is based on constraints from j dimensions, I want to know for which of the remaining n-j dimensions there is still something to select from and only show those.
    The obvious way is to make a count(*) query on the distinct foreign keys of each of the dimensions on the fact table, using the same where clause. That means that one would need (n-j) such queries on the whole facts table and that sounds like an awful waste of resources given that the original query for selecting the facts could have done it internally "on the fly".
    How can this be achieved in the most performant way? Is there a "classical" way of how to approach this problem? Is there tool support for doing this efficiently?
    Any help or pointers to where one could find out more about this would be greatly apreciated - thank you!

    >
    Did you get the counts for each value of each dimension by doing a separate query with the current "WHERE" clause on each dimension?
    >
    My method doesn't apply to your use case. I wrote a Java class to create my own bit-mapped indexes on CSV files. So each attribute value was a one million bit binary raw.
    I don't know, and don't want to know, what your particular requirements are. But I can show you a basic process that will work for large numbers of rows. Get a simple process working and then explore to see if it will meet your particular needs. Not going to answer questions here about anything but about my example code
    1. Assume a single fact table with one primary key column and multiple single-value attribute columns.
    2. The table is not subject to DML operations AT ALL - truncate and load if you want apply changes. Meaning it will be useful for research purposes on archived data.
    3. The purpose of the table is to select the fact table ROWIDs for records of interest. So the only value selected is a result set of ROWIDs that can then be used to get any of the normal FACt table data and other linked data as needed.
    Create the table - insert some records, create a bitmap index on each dimension column and collect the statistics
    ALTER TABLE SCOTT.STAR_FACT
    DROP PRIMARY KEY CASCADE;
    DROP TABLE SCOTT.STAR_FACT CASCADE CONSTRAINTS;
    create table star_fact (
        fact_key varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        age      varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        beer    varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        marital_status varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        softdrink varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        state    varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        summer_sport varchar2(30) DEFAULT 'N/A' not null,
        constraint star_fact_pk PRIMARY KEY (fact_key)
    INSERT INTO STAR_FACT (FACT_KEY) SELECT ROWNUM FROM ALL_OBJECTS;
    create bitmap index age_bitmap on star_fact (age);
    create bitmap index beer_bitmap on star_fact (beer);
    create bitmap index marital_status_bitmap on star_fact (marital_status);
    create bitmap index softdrink_bitmap on star_fact (softdrink);
    create bitmap index state_bitmap on star_fact (state);
    create bitmap index summer_sport_bitmap on star_fact (summer_sport);
    exec DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS('SCOTT', 'STAR_FACT', NULL, CASCADE => TRUE);Now if you run the 'complex' query for the example from my first reply you will get
    SQL> set serveroutput on

      2   (state = 'CA') or (state = 'CO')

    SQL>As you can see Oracle is combining bitmap indexes on columns in a single table to implement the same AND/OR complex conditions I showed earlier. It doesn't need any other table to do this.
    In 11g you can create virtual columns and then index them.
    so if you find that the condition 'young' and 'divorced' is used frequently you could create a VIRTUAL 'young_divorced' column and create an index.

    SQL>
    ----------------------------------------------------------------Notice that at line #6 the new index was used. The VIRTUAL column itselfl doesn't create data for the fact table; the definition only exists in the data dictionary.
    The YOUNG_DIVORCE_NDX is real and does consume space. The tradeoff is additional space for the index but you make the query easier because you don't have to recreate the complex condition every time.
    Oracle can work with the complex condition and combine the indexes so this really only helps the query writer. Your UI should be able to hide the query construction from the user so I would avoid the use of VIRTUAL columns and an additional index until you demonstrate you really need it.
    If you provide users with their own RESULT table to store custom query results you could just store the query name and the set of primary keys from the result set. I used ROWIDs in the example but don't use rowid for a real application - use a primary key value that won't change.
    So your UI would let users construct complext dimension queries for 'young_sportsters' and get a result set of primary keys for that. They could save the label 'young_sportsters' and the primary keys in their own work table. Then you can let them run queries that use the primary keys to query data from your active data warehouse to get any other data it contains.

    >
    For an Oracle implementation you need to do a count select for each dimension. I haven't tried it but you might be able to do multiple dimensions in a singe query. One query would look like this>
    -- get the dimension counts
    SQL> select beer, count(*) from star_fact group by beer;
    BEER                             COUNT(*)
    N/A                                 56977
