Any suggestions for 3rd party plugins for Cross Dissolve, Film Dissolve & Dip to Black

Question

I am using Cross Dissolve, Film Dissolve & Dip to Black on a premiere project (CS5.5 on Mac).
The results aren't smooth - between some clips, there's a banding on the clip.
I am looking for transitions that look professional like the ones seen in film trailers.
Any suggestions on 3rd party pluings and any other tips would be great help.

Footage is 4K RED (4096 x 2048) @ 24 fps, Audio 48000 Hz, 24 bit.
Timeline has R3D footage and a few DPX sequences rendered at 4K from After Effects (see below for After aEffects export settings)
Project Settings: MPF GPU Acceleration
Video Display: Timecode
Audio Display: Audio Samples
Sequence Settings: RED R3D 4K 16x9 24 preset.
Video Settings:
Frame Size: 409h x 2048
Frame Rate: 24 fps
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square pixels (1.0)
Fields: no fields
Audio Settings:
Sample Rate: 48000 samples/second
Export Settings:
Format: MPEG2-DVD
Preset: NTSC Progressive Widescreen High Quality
Video:
Codec: MainConcept MPEG Video
QualityL 5
TV Standard: Automatic based on source
Frame rate: Automatic based on source
Field:order: Automatic based on source
Pixel Aspect ration: Automatic based on source
Render at Max Depth (unchecked) - since render was failing when I checked this.
Bitrate settings:
Bitrate Encoding: VBR 2 pass
Mim BTR: 7
Target BTR: 7.5
Max BTR: 8
M Frames: 3
N Frames: 12
Use Maximum render quality (unchecked) again becuse render failed when checked.
Audio:
Format: Dolby Digital
Codec: Dolby Digital
Frequency: 48khz
Birtate: 448 kbps
After Effects Settings to render DPX sequence:

Format: DPX/Cineon Sequence, Channels :
RGB, Depth: Trillions of colors
Color: PRemultiplied (matted)

File Format: DPX)
