Any tutorials on debugging apex apps with firefox?

Hi
Does any one know of any good tutorials for debugging apex applications with firefox?
regards
Tony

Hi Tony,
what do you want to debug? Javascript, APEX or PL/SQL?
Only Javascript would be specific for Firefox, in that case I would suggest that you have a look at http://www.getfirebug.com/ it has an excellent Javascript debugger.

  • How to debug web app with weblogic?

    I wrote a web app that includes jsp files and some javabeans, then I put the jsp files to directory
    mydomain\applications\DefaultWebApp
    then I complied javabeans and put those classes to
    mydomain\applications\DefaultWebApp\WEB-INF\classes
    Then I start the weblogic,it runs very well.
    I modified some javabean, complie them and put classes override the old classes,
    but the web app can not find the new classes.
    Any one know How to debug web app(with javabeans) in weblogic?
    thanks!

    how to config the hot deploy?
    thxSorry, for this delay in responding. I had set notify me with email option in Watch This topic; but I never did get any email notification.
    I use wls6.1; I think the process may be very similar to this in wls8.x. In wls6.1 (sp5), this is done via the -
    Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=False or
    Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=True
    in the startup cmd/sh script. Out of the box, wls6.1 is set to Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=False which automatically enables hot deploys.

  • Problem registering apex app with sso

    I followed the instructions listed in Note:353023.1 to register an apex app as an sso application.
    when i go to the url:
    http://portal.research.na.admworld.com/pls/REMGThtmldb/f?p=100:1
    i get:
    Bad Request
    Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
    mod_plsql: /pls/REMGThtmldb/f HTTP-400 Invalid name
    i've redone everything several times. i must be missing something simple. any clue as to what this could be?

    Hi Chris,
    I had a lot of problems getting SSO working. The name of the partner application had to be HTML_DB and in the WWSEC_ENABLER_CONFIG_INFO$ table I had to change the port in LSNR_TOKEN to :80. You will find lots of other posts about SSO problems.
    One thing you can do is to set debug on as explained in step 6 here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/howtos/sso_partner_app.html

  • Is there any free download manager that compatible with firefox ver. 6?

    i wanna use firefox 6.0 but afraid i can't use free download manager anymore.

    If you install the Flashgot add-on you can use Free Download Manager with Firefox 6. If you want a download manager as an add-on, install the DownThemAll extension (you will want to do this if you don't use Windows).

  • Hi Folks - any idea when Minion will work with Firefox 6?

    Minion with Firefox 6?

    I seriously doubt Microstuff knows when they'll have a fix for it. Adobe doesn't run Microstuff, so they can't force a fix.
    Frankly, IE s-u-c-k-s, and I don't use it so I don't miss it.
    Flash does not show in (Start-All Programs) but does show in (control Panel-Programs) however, it is only 6 MB and not the 16.7 MB file download. It stops about halfway thru the download and requests IE to be closed before proceeding. In an open IE browser, the vid window shows either a black screen or nothing.
    Flash Player is a "plugin" for your browser so ti won't show in the programs as it's only a part of another program.
    The "plugin" itself is only 6mb, but there are files to run it that are PLENTY more.
    See:
    and:
    As far as closing IE goes, see: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5266110

  • Trying to debug Worklist app with JDeveloper

    We managed to get the worklistapp compiling under JDeveloper. Now, I'd like to debug it.
    In order to debug (by running in the OC4J container within JDeveloper), it looks like I have to run the worklistapp as a remote client (specifying REMOTE_CLIENT or SOAP_CLIENT in the BaseServlet's init function). I used REMOTE_CLIENT. I also updated wf_client_config.xml and included the ORACLE_HOME/bpel/system/services/config directory in the classpath.
    When I try to run the worklist app from JDeveloper, I get a null ptr exception (the line 'wfSvcClient.getAuthorizationService(idCtx);' is returning a null value for the authorization service):

    I did start up the user metadata services and runtime config services(I can see all the soap endpoints for the workflow services from a browser). But the worklist app doesn't seem to connect to the remote server. I did update my wf_client_config.xml to point to the remote server on which BPEL is located. And the wf_client_config.xml file is in the classpath.
    If I deploy the worklist app on the server with bpel (specifying the parent as 'orabpel', it all works fine). I just can't get it working as a remote client.
    So, any suggestions? I've been looking at threads on this forum to get to this point, but now I'm stuck.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

    I thought I'd ping this thread to see if anyone has been able to debug the Worklist application with JDeveloper. We are trying to customize the worklist application, and being able to use JDeveloper to debug would greatly help out.
    However, I have still been unable to get the worklist application to be able to connect to the workflow services remotely via the SOAP_CLIENT:
    wfSvcClient = WorkflowServiceClientFactory.getWorkflowServiceClient(
    WorkflowServiceClientFactory.SOAP_CLIENT);
    I've played around with the classpath to make sure I have all the jars (based on other similar threads in this forum), but have not had any luck yet.
    From a web browser, I can specify the SOAP endpoint to the Workflow services, and am able to call the service in the browser.
    I updated my wf_client_config.xml file to point to the endpoints. e.g:
    <taskQueryService>
    <soapEndPoint>http://myserver:8888/integration/services/TaskQueryService/TaskQueryService</soapEndPoint>
    </taskQueryService>
    Thanks for any help,
    Sachin

  • I have problems restoring tabs and saving pin apps with Firefox 5 on Mac OS X version 10.6.7

    I bought a Macbook Pro a few months ago and since installing Mozilla Firefox on my system, I have never been able to restore previous sessions after closing Firefox. I currently use Firefox 5 and I've tried pinning open tabs as apps tabs but those too disappear when I restart Firefox.
    I use a few add-ons including DownThemAll, Force-TLS, Rikaichan and Rikaichan's Japanese-English Dictionary File.

    App (pinned) tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data in the file sessionstore.js in the Firefox profile folder.
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Session_Restore
    Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Clear+Recent+History
    It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    * Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js
    If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
    Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and all open tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
    See:

  • Mobile apps with phonegap + mysql ?

    Hi,
    i was searching for a long time but didn't find answers. is it possible to show database-driven content within mobile apps made with dreamweaver cs6 ?
    If so, are there any examples or tutorials on the adobesite or elsewhere?
    Looking forward for any answer :-)

    PhoneGap builds mobile apps with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You cannot use a server-side language, such as PHP, with PhoneGap.
    Presumably, you want to connect with a MySQL database on a remote server. To do so, you would need to use Ajax to send and receive data from the MySQL database. You can use jQuery to send and receive data as JSON. PHP has JSON functions that decode and encode data as JSON strings.
    How difficult or easy you would find setting this up depends on your knowledge of jQuery and PHP. I don't know of any tutorials that show how to pull everything together for PhoneGap, but it shouldn't be too difficult to find tutorials for using jQuery Ajax to communicate with MySQL.

  • APEX app freezing on ipad

    Greetings,
    APEX 4.1
    I have my APEX app with many forms etc. on iPad a hybrid app built using Phone Gap Webviews.
    APEX app freezes in below scenarios-
    1.When user submits form and locks ipad without waiting to check if details entered are saved (save process is still running at this time).
    ->Later comes back to ipad to check something in app and finds that still same page is loading.
    Now to check whether his details are saved user needs to close the app and open it newly and navigate to particular report which shows details.
    Details are not getting saved. The submit process didn't complete
    What exactly happens when ipad is locked in between when we do a page submit?
    I'm completely new to app development on ipad and its architecture.
    Please guide me on how APEX application are integrated with ipad.
    I want to understand its architecture like whats difference between APEX app on web browser and a hybrid app.
    How does apex page submit request work on hybrid app. Whats difference between page submit on web browser and in a hybrid app?
    How does this integration of web application and hybrid app.works?
    Kindly help!!

    Has anyone faced this issue!!

  • Can't publish an app with twitter timeline

    Hi,
    i have an app in Project Siena which i want to post my timeline and be able to post my tweets.
    I setup a twitter data source and in 'design' environment everything works OK.
    Then, the hell begins when I want to publish the app, as I can't get it to work with the twitter API.
    1) i registered an app with apps.twitter.com, copied the API key and API secret. For the callback URL I have just posted our company's website, as the app in Project Siena has nothing to do with any URL.
    2) suddenly the twitter timeline does not work anymore, the curernt user does not exist anymore within data sources and there is no timeline. I would think there is an issue with authorization?
    3) I tried adding a new twitter feed and doing it from the scratch straight away with the API, to no avail.
    4) I can't get rid of the twitter and twitter_1 data sources, as when I try to delete them from my app in siena, Project Siena just crashes.
    My questions:
    - is there any specific catch connecting siena app with my twitter account?
    - is there anyone here who got to the point of feeding timeline from twitter to the PUBLISHED siena app?
    - is there a way to 'hack' the data source out of the app somehow differently than through the Siena GUI?  Like to edit something in the myapp.siena file?
    I appreciate your answers, thanks,
    Peter

    Actually, I got it to work somehow.
    This is what I did:
    I added a new twitter data source and NOT logged in straight away with my user account (like I would normally do to play around with the app).  Instead, I set-up the APIs first, and only then went to change the feed elements in my screens
    (so that the source was pointing to this new twitter_2 data source instead of the old two which i setup earlier, i.e. twitter_1 and twitter).
    Now the app is publishable and when I open it, it asks me to log in with my twitter account - all good.
    Have still not got rid of the two old twitter sources in the .siena file. If i press delete Project Siena just crashes. Any ideas ?   At this moment it does not affect functioning of the app, it is just 'messy' and 'unnecessary' in 'source code'.
