Any way to have the current date pop up?

Hi -
I have a request form to create. Pretty simple actually.
Halfway down the form I hve to put the following, where [ ] represents data input by user.
"This document has been open for [ ] days as of [ ]."
We want the user to type in a number from [1] to [99] (days open) and have the 'as of' [ ] be 'today's date' which would actually be the date of the filling out of this form.
So I created a table with 4 columns but it's not working right.
Any ideas?
The only other major item is an expandable comments section at the end. Shouldn't affect the information above.

Any way to set the file date?

Hi-
I have recently switched to aperture, and imported my iPhoto library.
When I use the "Pictures" screensaver (the one where the pics fall down, looking like polaroids), all of the dates on them are 1/3/09-- the date that they were imported into the library.
It seems that the screensaver uses the file date, rather than the metadata for the date.
Is there any way to get the file date to match the exif date?
The photos are stored in the aperture library, if that matters.
Alternatively, are there any better screensavers for pictures out there (that would work with the aperture library)

So here's the thing. I'm still looking and I still can't find it. 'Tis a feature you have that I don't but by the sounds of things it's not much use with aperture anyway!
The issue is as I stated above. The screensaver uses the previews generated by aperture and thus references the creation date of the preview files not the original date taken from the EXIF metadata. Hence your problem. If you export jpegs out of aperture they will have today's creation date which (i' haven't been able to test as I can't find the annotations feature but) will be refernced as such by the screen saver.
So the solutions are twofold (and you have suggested them both):
1) Find a screensaver that reads the exif metadata
2) Turn off the feature.
you may possibly be able to send the contents of your smart folder back to iPhoto see if the screen saver reads it from there?

Each time have the current date in autmatic scheduling

Hello,
I'm scheduling some jobs automatically and I have a question.
Sometimes I need to enter a date (E.g. To create Dunning Letters). How can I make sure it will for each run take the 'current date' and not the date I enter when I run the request for the first time entering the recurrence?
Should I just leave the date field blank?

It will depend on how the code has been written!!
If you would like to always take current date, then you should leave the date field blank the first time and process should interpret blank date as current date and process the data

Is there any way to have the page title NOT be the name of the HTML file

You might want a page title to be say "Digital Media Academy." You don't however really want the html file to be called "Digital%20Media%20Academy.html" Windows web browsers often have problem opening pages with spaces in the file name. On the other hand you don't really want the page title to be "DigitalMediaAcademy" because that looks kind of dumb. Any way around this.

I think I probably misunderstood your question. You want the html "title," which appears at the top of a browser, to be independent of the name of the html file, right? I don't think that is possible in this version without manually editing the html after publishing. iWeb uses the page name given in the inspector for both the navigation bar link and the file name, replacing spaces by %20 in the latter because web servers don't allow spaces in file names.

No, this is not controllable directly by apps or by users (and 30-days is not contractual).
If your app needs to store data in the cloud perpetually then you'll need to use your own server.
If the app is installed then roamed data will still be saved on the client systems until the user removes it.

Is there any way to have the clip name show up in the video

is there a way to have the clip name (kind of like a title) automatically? I do highlight videos and for the early versions I upload it with clip numbers to make it easier to identify the clips to move them around. My clip names are the same as those numbers...if I could just show the clip name when I upload the video it would save me a TON of time. Anyone know of a way to do that? Thank you!

safari remembers it's last window position when you close it. so next time you start it will open in the same position it was when you quit it last. that's the only control available. there is no other way to fix the safari starting position.

the home button on my ipod toch just recently stopped working. So apple said they would give me a free replacement uipod. So the problem is, i have like 40 games with many finished levels and acheivements. So i was wondering if there is any way to back up the games AND the game data? - Easy. Before yu send yu iPod away, do one final sync. The sync insluceds a backup of the iPOd. The backup includes app data and other things.

Is there any way to tell the last date my ipod was plugged into my computer?

OKay, this may be a techie question, but I'm pretty savvy so if this info is contained in a file somewhere, you can feel free to explain how to find it, I can look for it.
i Misplaced my iPod nano at some point in time, and knowing the last date I synced it to iTunes or even plugged it in would be HUGELY helpful in helping me to maybe locate it. IS there any way to see this information (the date specifically) anywhere on my computer dated in any file?
I Did look at devices and the iPod wasn't listed there, (only my more recent iPad and iPhone as backups) so I'm assuming maybe this wasnt an option in earlier versions of iTunes at least when I last had that sucker plugged in.
IIt's Moreso just killing me that I can't find it, and I KNOW it's one of a few places.

I have a Belkin bluetooth keyboard attached to my Ipad 3. I would like to know if there is any way to have the arrow keys scroll down when browsing web pages?

I just got my Ipad 3rd generation a few days ago and for my case I got the bulky BELKIN Bluetooth keyboard. I notice that when I press down the arrow keys it does not seem to scroll down when searching a web browser or looking up web pages. However it works fine when scrolling down on office apps such as Pages. I'm wondering if is there a way to make the arrow keys on the keyboard scroll down when on an internet web page like my Mac does.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

I have two iPad2 with the same Game Center account, is there any way to have the same game app levels?

One iPad2 is of my daughter the other is mine I put the same Game Center account, but when I installed the game app in my ipad2 it start in level 1!! when I check my achievements in GC I have them 24 of 61 but not in my level 30 but in level 1... IF he set up find my ip[hone on the ihone itself BEFORE it was stolen ( there is no app, it is a setting) AND it is on AND it has jot been restored, then you may be able to track it using icloud/find my iphone.
Otherwise, there is no way to track it.

Is there any way to have the ringtone louder than the alerts?

I was just wondering if there is anyway to make the ringtone louder than the alerts on the Iphone 5? I find that I often can't hear the ringtone because the volume is down low for the alerts. I don't need my e-mails and texts making loud sounds but the ringtone appears to be really quiet. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I find the only way is to change the notifications to something quiet and choose a louder tone for ringtone.

It would be great if someone had made a Safari Extension that only showed the URL field and not the Google/Yahoo field. Has anyone seen this? I found an extension for DuckDuckGo which I like. This is on Safari for the Mac on 10.7.1 and 10.6.2 on two of my machines that I'd like that to be added. Also if there is a PicSearch plugin that would be great. I'm trying to get rid fo all the cookie based search engines now that Google has changed their privacy policy, and I don't like Yahoo's either.

Nondisclosure statement would suggest that would not even be something anyone would know if it is a feature or not. Unless it is up on Apple's website. Did you see something mentioned on Apple's website? Also, I'm going to have to wait to see if I need new hardware for it. I'm still dependent on MacBook Pro 3,1 and iMac 5,1.

Is there a way to retain the original date after editing?

I am using PSE 11 on a MacBook Pro, OS X (10.3). I have a lot of old pictures to edit, and they are in date order, which is how I want them.
However, when I edit a picture and save it, it moves it to the bottom, with today's date instead of the original date. I have them set to save with the original as a version set.
Is there any way to retain the orignal dates, short of having to go in and reset the date on every picture after I save it? I really want them to be in date order under their original dates.
BTW, I used earlier versions that were Windows-based, and this didn't happen. When I saved them, the version sets stayed where they were.
This is really frustrating!
