Any Way To Perform A Recorded Action Like In Photoshop?

Basically, I want to make an html page that contains one image...very simple I want to make 144 of these pages though. So, I am wondering if there is a way to kind of like create an action like in Photoshop where I can record the steps of doing it one time and then have Dreamweaver repeat this 144 times upon playback. Anyone know if there is a way? Thank you.

You can create Commands from the History Panel.
1) Open History Panel (Shift+F10)
2) Select steps or group of steps (Shift or Ctrl+click).
3) Right click and Save As Command.
4) Saved Commands are displayed in the Commands menu for future use.
Commands are useful for things you do often but they are not a substitute for DWTemplates or dynamically populated site pages. When a site is bigger than 50 pages, you should be thinking dynamic instead of static.

Hey DEV I think what he is talking about is will labview allow me to create a macro so that I can do the same thing over and over again. The answer is no. however i have seen some software on the Internet that will record repetive macro's (keystrokes really) so that you can do some of the functionality of a macro. But nothing to the caliber of what excel or word does. LV will run macro's for other applications such as excel or word but it does not have a built in way to do it on its' self.

Do you mean, you reverted your project to saved? If you are lucky, the recording still might be in the project package ( if you copied a region of your recording to another track).
Open the project package in the Finder by ctrl-clicking the project and look at the recordings in the subfolder "Media".
If there is a more recent Time Machine Backup of your project, enter Time Machine, locate the version that may contain your recording and copy the Media folder to the Desktop or any place you like and then reimport the missing track to your project.

you will not be able to get those records.
Check this : If this issue is in Development than no need to worry.
If in quality and production , then usually a copy of the system is there , and this can help you.
Also , check is there any report that exports this data in some other form for backup.

There is a fair amount of Acrobat JavaScript and Acrobat knowledge need to sort all of this out.
The identity object holds a lot of sedative information. First, upon installation of Acrobat, only the login name is available in the identity object and the end user of the application needs to complete the "Name", "email" and "Organization Name" in the application's preferences. These are the only fields that are available to Acrobat JavaScript identity object as corporation, email, loginName, and name.
Using the instructions in The Acrobat JavaScript Console (Your best friend for developing Acrobat JavaScript) you can run the following script in the JS console to see the items of the identity object:

No. You can not "reverse" a restore. If you didn't have the photos backed up, or uploaded to PhotoStream, they're gone.

I'm playing with Pages to see if I can use it instead of Word. I'm very expert with Word, just starting with Pages. Like some things, don't like some, but I think it's worth continuing to play with it to see if it will work for me. One problem I've been having is repeating an action. In Word, if you do something (in the particular situation I just had, it was deleting a row in a table), and then click on another place and do command-Y, it repeats what you did. Similarly, if you format a word as bold, say, and then select another word and do command-Y the second word will also be made bold. I realize the latter can be done in pages by selecting "emphasis" style for the second word, but I couldn't figure out any work-around for deleting the table rows (I tried selecting several non-adjacent rows, but "delete row" was greyed out on the actions menu). Any way to do this that I've missed?

I'm afraid I failed to communicate well about outline format - I didn't mean a bulleted or numbered list, I do know how to do that, but rather making a single character (or in my particular interest a symbol, the diamond and heart suit symbols) appear in outline text format. You can do it by going to format->font->outline, but if I want to do it for several occurrences of the same thing (or a few different things), it's not much fun to do it that way. But maybe I can define a character format that's outline and that will work. Still would prefer to have a keyboard shortcut to apply the character format though.
Incidentally, while I'm talking about diamonds and hearts, is there any way to change the amount of space that gets put in after the diamond and heart symbols if you insert them using Edit->Special Characters? I write a lot of documents that use those symbols and lines end up unevenly spaced because of the large amount of space below each symbol (I've figured out a partial work-around - I defined a style for "body after suit symbol" that is raised enough to get the line spacing right, but that only works when I want to have a hard return at the end of the line with the suit symbols, since if the lines wrap, both lines have to have the same paragraph formatting. This problem isn't really Pages related - I have the same difficult with Word .

Could a change in OS Service Pack in any way effect performance.

I've got a strange issue and it seems to involve only AE CS5 and no other programs, I can re-install AE and try again, but as an academic that does not help me in any way, I need to know about such issues should they arise for a colleague or a student as well.
Recently on my home system, I installed a new GPU, the GTX 560, I decided to do the whole shabang and get a 2nd hard drive for data storage and reinstall the OS from scratch.
The result is an increased in performance in every single program, from the Autodesk Suite to games, everything is at least 40% better than before.
I'm can't figure out what the issue is with AE, it's the only one which is producing slower results. Now my 6GB of RAM is probably the bare minimum for AE to work at a decent rate, but to the extend where I can get even 2 frames together for a RAM preview.
More than resolving the problem I'd like to know what it is.
So my question is, has anyone else suffered in performance if they upgraded their Service Pack after installing AE.

Did you install the exact same graphics driver with the exact same settings? That would be the most likely cause, even if it seems illogical. The newest one must not necessarily be the one that works best with AE even if you see improvements in other apps....

I believe there is something from Oracle but it was frustratingly buggy when I used it a few years back and only worked via the Oracle installer.
Personally, I'd recommend something like Innosetup, which is freeware and a Windows-style installer much like InstallShield etc. so it'll create an executable setup file probably OK if they've already got the Oracle Runtime components installed.

Any way to get Java Plug-In-like handling of jar versions?

I have jars intended for use with the Java Plug-In with version #'s in properties files (computed by the various tooling for updating these on the server). The jars themselves have no notion of jar #.
I would like to re-use these jars and version #'s with Java Web Start to avoid conditional GETs, but without jar diffing in this case (as I already have many small jars due to lack of jar diffing in the Java Plug-In).
Is there any way I can get Java Web Start to act like the Java Plug-In in this regard (i.e. the jar version # is a statement from the server, the client does a normal GET against the jar URL if its own version is not that stated by the server)?
[Don't get me wrong, jardiffing is cool, but having to do everything differently between Java Web Start and the Java Plug-In is [b]not cool.

Best way IMO would be to create a Socket connection to it so that you could connect with a client app and feed in data that way

One particular handling I intend to implement is after an OS termination command (like *"kill myDaemon.jar"* on LINUX/UNIX) to shut down the daemon.
This would be really helpful, because in this way I would not just shut down the daemon brutally but being able to handle an event like this to shutdown the Thread pool, send all connected peers that the server/daemon will be down for a while, close all connections ...

Is there any Listener Interface which I can use to achieve this?
Is maybe the JVM/JRE handling this and running garbage collectors?

Any way to change/replace EXIF data like the original date of photo?

I'm importing into Lightroom several thousand photos I took with my first digital camera, back in 2000-2004. It's all gone very smoothly. But here's my problem:
In my old workflow, photos I spent time editing wound up as TIF files, and whatever program I used to edit them stripped out the EXIF information from them. As a result, for example, a photo which was actually taken on March 4, 2001 will have EXIF information showing it was taken on March 10, 2001, the date on which I edited it and made the TIF. All of the other EXIF data is stripped as well, the exposure data, lens information, ISO, whether the flash fired, etc. The TIF file basically seems to have no EXIF data other than the file size and my name.
I can live without the other info, really, but the changing of the information about the original date/time means that the TIF file doesn't sort next to the original file in Lightroom, which I'd like it to do. There's not thousands of photos for which I have TIFs, just a few hundred at most.
Is there any way, with a plug-in or some external program, to copy the EXIF information from the original program and insert it into the TIF file?

I'd suggest just using ExifTool.
The command is:
exiftool -tagsFromFile {SRCFILE} {DESTFILE}
So, if you have a tif sans exif named my.tif, and an original jpg with exif named my.jpg, it would be:
exiftool -tagsFromFile my.jpg my.tif
There may be a batch-y way to do this with exiftool, or you could make your own batch file to do this in bulk...
