Anyone receivig a lot more spam in the last few days?

I've been getting 5-10 spam messages a day whereas a week ago I would only get a one or two every few days.  Has there been an increase in spam from new botnets?  My customers are also receving a lot more spam than normal.  CASE has been updated to the latest and we continue to send the emails to [email protected] but we continue to get them.  If this is just due to more spam worldwide and the ESA can only catch so much then that's fine, but if anyone has any suggestions that can resolve this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Danny,
In regards to your spam issue, normally to diagnose why emails are passing the system when you open a case with us; if you could get the actual spam emails where all original headers are available, or to send them to [email protected] as submissions where the automated system will review, but in instances where the emails are still passing.
Once the case is opened, provide us the date and time you sent said submissions and we'll escalate it.
A larger sample size is always best as well if you're able to provide.
It is also important to ensure that you also have the message tracking reflecting these emails ready for us to verify the mail flow to ensure it was not bypassing anything and such.

    This issue can be caused by a corrupt local snapshot index. The procedure below will temporarily disable local snapshots and force the index to be rebuilt.
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ If you’re running OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
    Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
    sudo tmutil disablelocal
    You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command.
    To re-enable:
    sudo tmutil enablelocal

  • Has anyone seen xmonad crashes the last few days? [SOLVED]

    I've seen a strange problem three or four times in the last few days where xmonad (0.9 and darcs) seems to be quietly crashing. Things will seem fine with it for a while, then after some point, I can no longer see launched programs (executed through xbindkeys) and xmonad's key bindings seem to fail. I can change TTYs and there's no abnormal CPU or memory usage, nor are there any errors in xmonan.errors. I can see that programs are being started from the other TTY; they're just not being shown on screen. Other than the changes in xmonad and supporting libraries, the only thing new for me is xmobar. It seems to happen if the machine sits unused for a while. Is anyone else seeing this?

    No, gvim's fine. I can reproduce it 100% of the time now with uzbl_tabbed. It's somewhat unstable and needs to have the files under /tmp deleted on other system sometimes. Hmmm?

    If anyone is still reading this, it only happens in xmonad. As well, after the machine goes to sleep and comes back, xmonad's Go {U,L,R,D} stops working properly if there are three windows open. Gads!

  • Why do I have to keep putting my password in to iPad in the last few days for no reason

    Over the last few days, every time I go to use my iPad 2 it asks me to put in my password. It did this over Xmas and I cleared out a lot of my storage and it seemed to stop. I have loads of space on device and in cloud and it keeps doing it. Is anyone else having same problem and what's causing it? It's really annoying

    It's often hard to determine the cause of the usage rights no longer valid. It happens when some sort of change is made other than those that are allowed. It can be due to font problems and other problems that Acrobat attempts to automatically fix.
    Adobe specifically prevent you from automating the process of extending documents with Acrobat.

    Here is the screen shot, just the top half, there are another 10 pages, but I guess this should enough for you to have an idea of waht is going on, bit small I am afraid. No, I don't have any apps setup to run when I open my computer, the kernel, varies between 290 and 305 per cent ish.
    Would that PRAM thing help ? I think it may be the computer itself, well something inside, as this the first time that the fan has ever started running since I have this computer, even when I have 3 or 4 apps running.

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
    Try the following to rule out a software problem

    - Reset all settings

    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

    Hi all,
    For the last few days I've not been able to access parts of the iTunes store. On Saturday I could not get to the Movies home page. But I could access pages below it. For the last few days I can get to the Movies home page, but cannot access the trailers page. Other areas in Music are doing it as well.
    Every time I get the same error::
    Could not complete the iTunes store request. The store may be busy.
    Is anyone else getting this?

    Has anyone purchased an iPhone in the last few days, and if so, could you tell me something

    or was it version 1.1.1, and if it was, was the iTunes purple icon in the picture on the iPhone box?
    I read elsewhere, if you buy an iPhone , and it doesn't have the iTune icon on the box, it is 1.0.2

    The iPhone is still shipping in the same box it always has.
    The firmware inside is 1.1.1 if purchased from Apple. If it is older stock from ATT it might still have 1.0.2 but most likely won't activate until your update the firmware to 1.1.1 -- that is how they normally do their updates for iPods as well.

  • Ping increase the last few days.

    Is anyone else experiancing higher than usual ping? Usuaully on speedtests I get around 15ms but the last few days it has been 120ms. I have tried resetting the router, changing to openDNS, flushing my connection and nothing has helped. My actual speed is fine though, both up and down are the same as normal.

    I just thought I'd post and let you guys know it wasn't a BT problem. I recently installed the new version of Spybot 2 and for some reason it activated a proxy without asking me, luckily a page failed to load and I noticed the Spybot error message or I would have never thought to check it out. After removing the proxy settings in Firefox I'm back to 16ms and full speed.

    Back up your documents and everything else important to you, not that there is any reason to believe your hard disk may be failing, but the symptoms you describe may presage an impending disk failure, and you should have backups anyway.
    Given that your MacBook Pro is so new, you should certainly contact AppleCare and take advantage of the free telephone support included in its purchase price.
    Until then, if you are motivated to investigate this yourself consider the following:

    You posted in the "Using Mac App Store" forum but your profile indicates you are using an iPad so that's what I'll try helping you with.
    On the iPad tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    Then restart the iPad.  Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    If you still can't download apps, the problem may be your Wi-Fi connection >  iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
