Anyone successfully configured 802.1x Cisco LEAP wifi connection?

Till now I've tried couples of profile setting via iPhone configuration web utility, but finally I still didn't get there, the wifi connection of our office. Right account name and password, right protocol, but I didn't find the CKIP encryption option and domain name type-in frame. Anyone could help me? Thanks in advance!
office wifi security: Cisco 802.1x/LEAP/CKIP

Same problem here. Sometimes it says I'm connected with a 192.168.x.x address, and I can't get to the web, but other times it doesn't even pretend to connect, and has an IP address of 169.x.x.x.
Our normal internal company IP addresses are 10.125.x.x.
WEP encryption, CPIK.
Corporate laptop connects just fine with the same settings (as far as I can tell anyway), the only odd thing is that we use the intel proset utility to enable cisco extensions to the LEAP section of the security. Don't know if the iPhone supports that or not?

  • Has anyone successfully configured push notification services?

I have been struggling with this since mid December and still have not figured out how to configure or even debug push notificaiton services. I am running a Mac Mini Lion Server and have read every thread, article, snippet and breadcrumb on these discussion forums and elsewhere. I have been through jabberd/twisted/SSL/config in fine grained detail.
So my question is simply - is there anyone out there that has 10.7.3 and Push Notifications configured for mail/Calendar Server/iChat working? Did it just work out of the box for you by checking the box and requesting a cert? Did you have to go through a detailed debugging exercise and if so, what are the key components in this spaghetti that is the Lion APNS gateway?
I am happy to start posting logs and working with some contributors on this, but I would like to know that it is even possible before investing the time.
HELLLLLLLP! Please tell me there is light at the end of this tunnel!
    Corey

Off of the top of my head the only push notification setting I am aware of in Lion Server is in Profile Manager and this only applies to Profile Manager services.  Caldav and carddav have been updating fine for me whether I have Profile Manager on or off.

  • Anyone successfully configured A2DP in Bootcamp?

    Hi everyone,
I'm trying to configure my SE bluetooth headset to play back stereo audio via A2DP. In Vista it worked (with a hack) but the sound quality was horrendous (and on my cellphone it plays just fine). In Windows 7 it doesn't even play at all, it says it's missing the HFP Bus enumerator (whatever that means).
So I was wondering if anyone has gotten this working well, either in vista or Windows 7?
    Thanks

    Hi,
For the record, I was able to get this working.
What really helped was this blog posting:
    http://kingsfleet.blogspot.com/2009/01/security-policy-worked-example.html
That was "close", but the worked example was for a Java client, whereas I was trying to access the webservice using a portlet in a WebLogic portal app, so I had to slightly modify the example client code to get the Stub using <servicecontrol>.getStub().
Also, for the webservice end, I had to add a "direction=...inbound".
BTW, as he points out, all of the "canned" policies in Workshop include some form of encryption and/or signing. He has another blog post showing how to setup the webservice policy to use only a plaintext username and password:
    http://kingsfleet.blogspot.com/2008/12/simple-custom-policy-example-using-jax.html
    Jim
P.S. I have not been able to find a way to get this working "purely" by using the WebLogic security configuration, i.e., not programmatically.

  • Problem iPhone WiFi Connection to Airport Express with static IP addresses

We have our Airport Express configured on the LAN with a fixed IP. It is not distributing IP addresses, or providing DHCP services; it simply links the WiFi to the LAN.
To connect via WiFi you set a static IP for the wireless device and enter all IP information by hand (IP/Router/Mask/DHCP etc). Laptops can connect fine, and use the network.
The iPhone connects to the wireless network ok (we tried with security on and off), however, it seems to be unable to successfully use the network. Any attempt to browse a web page using a numeric IP address, or regular IP address, fails.
Has anyone successfully used the iPhone on a WiFi network with static IP addresses, and a Wireless access point that also uses a static IP address?

The problem with static IP on iPhone was caused by the IP address being blocked by over-zealous network manager...

  • WAP200 looses wifi connectivity in irregular intervals

We currently have ~15 WAP200 accesspoints distributed over 4 buildings. Random devices seem to go unresponsive at irregular intervals (web interface still works, clients see a signal, but cannot connect). Rebooting the device solves the problem. User authtication is solved via a radius backend (freeradius), although I highly doubt this is causing the problem since the radius server does not recieve any requests from "broken" accesspoints.
Configuration is WPA2 - Enterprise, only 1 SSID, Power is via PoE
Unfortunately it isn't possible to reliably reproduce the problem. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I have only one WAP200E (with PoE) and it pressents the same issue. I have it configured with open security, 1 SSID, I mean with the simpliest configuration and it still looses wifi connectivity. It presents the same sintoms:
web interface still works, clients see a signal, but cannot connect
I even updated FW from 1.2 to 2.0.0.27.
    Attached is the actual config

If you wish to use the cellular capabilities of a device, you will need a SIM (unless the carrier uses CDMA which doesn't use SIMs) and you will have to pay a cell carrier. No cell company provides service for free. The only way you will get free Internet is via WiFi to a free and open WiFi access point, as sometimes is offered in public buildings or by some businesses.

Thanks for the responses, they have been very illuminating!
This is very disappointing from The Carphone Warehouse. If they had mentioned this when I went into their stores, I wouldn't have completed the purchases. I bought two phones at separate outlets and neither of them told me this.
I have been in contact with T-Mobile already as I thought they had sneakily applied a software update that locked the phone. They have denied locking it and suggest that it is something that Apple do. Their solution was a factory reset.
I have a call logged with Apple this afternoon, so will see what they suggest. Hopefully they will give me something that I can take to The Carphone Warehouse or T-Mobile.

    Hi James,
We get External DB is not operational. Could you confirm if under External Databases > Unknown User           Policy, and verify you have the AD/ Windows database at the top?
this error means the external server might not correctly configured on ACS external database section.
Another point is to make sure we have remote agent installed on supported windows server.

Also provide the Auth logs from the server running remote agent, e.g.:-

  • Has anyone successfully used a "WD My Book for Mac" via NAS (plugged into USB port on router) as a Time Machine back-up drive?

Has anyone successfully used a "WD My Book for Mac" via NAS (plugged into USB port on router) as a Time Machine back-up drive? Apple support tech tried to tell me it wasn't possible and that the only NAS Time Machine could back up to is the Time Capsule, but I'm not buying it. I know it's doable, but I'm having a hard time figuring out which External HDDs will work and which ones won't.  If not My Book for Mac, is there an External HDD that will work? (Running OS X 10.9.1 - Mavericks, btw...)

Given the nature of backups, my recommendation has always been to use a strategy that is unequivocally supported by Apple. As you already determined Apple Support unequivocally informed you that your proposal will not work, unless your router is an Apple AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule.
The exhaustive list of devices supported by Time Machine amounts to the following:
AirPort Time Capsule's built-in hard disk (any model)
External USB hard disk drive connected to a Time Capsule (any model)
External USB hard disk drive connected to an AirPort Extreme (current model only)
A hard disk drive directly connected to your Mac
    That is all.
Use whatever backup device you want, but you should be aware that this site is full of reports of misery from hapless individuals who had been using NAS devices for Time Machine backups, only to find that they were incomplete, corrupted, or useless when they were required. Apple won't care if you lose your data while using a Time Machine configuration specifically excluded from their technical support documents.

  • Anyone successfully deployed BPEL + JMS Adapter (for MQ) to WebSphere?

Anyone successfully deployed BPEL Process Manager + JMS Adapter (for MQ) to WebSphere (i.e not OAS/OC4J)?
If you have - I would love to see a valid example of the ra.xml and oc4j-ra.xml files in your jca/JmsAdapter.rar file - to see how you configured access for the JMS Adapter to your remote MQ queues.
    Thank you
    Dennis

    Hi Garima,
    Please check the following:
    1. Add dhbcore.jar also to aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda and deploy it.
    2. Check the existence of your JMS drivers.
    3. Check the following link and Install the drivers as the way it is mentioned in the guide 'How To Install And Configure External Drivers For JDBC & JMS'
    https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01200252310000071155&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202
There are 4 files which needs to be added. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cd/d85a9d6fab7d4dbb7ae421f710626c/frameset.htm
Any of the above solutions should help you solve the problem.

  • Anyone successfully install a epson artisan 810?

    greetings all,
has anyone successfully install a epson artisan 810 on a macpro 3.1 with Leopard (10.5.8) on it or any mac with 10.5.8?  I have tried numerous ways after reading others posts all over.  I just ordered a wifi card to see if that would get it going as wifi, the 2008 macpro basic model did not have wifi.  I can get it to print out of all my graphic programs connecting it thru usb direct using the artisan 835 driver.  It will not scan out of photoshop I have to use Espon Scan (the bundled scanning software).
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks

Hmmm...accordin' to Epson, the software you needed should have been included on a software CD. Epson sez you can add a printer via Bonjour. I see various versions of the all-in-one software on Epson's website, including stuff for 10.5.8. and no, it'll probably not scan via Photoshop. I think you have to install some kinda Twain plugin for the Epson scanner from the Photoshop DVD (optional install??).   You may have to find out and manually add the printer's IP address...sorry I couldn't be of more help

  • I deleted the System Configuration files and now my WiFi won't work.

I've always loved Apple but ever since I upgraded to Yosemite I've been having problems with my WiFi connection, it kept dropping. So I decided to look for a solution and I found some forums that said I should go to System Configuration on Finder (Cmd+Shift+G on Finder, then write /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration) and that I should delete all the files there. I did just that and now I can't get online at all. Then I read in some other forums that you should only delete certain files... So you can imagine my face when I read that. I tried taking the files I deleted out of the Trash and everything but I still can't connect to the Internet wirelessly. I'm desperate!
My wireless connection used to drop every 2 minutes, and I had to go to Network Preferences, Assistant, Diagnostic, and that would fix it for another 5 minutes, 10 if I was lucky. But now I can't get online at all. I've tried everything I could think of and nothing.
I don't care if my Internet drops anymore, I just want it to go back to the way it was. I'm traveling to Argentina in a week and I need this fixed!!
If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

The following support article is somewhat outdated. Where it refers to booting from an installation disc, you should boot into Recovery (if running 10.7 or later) by holding down the key combination command-R at the chime. If your startup volume is encrypted with FileVault, you’ll have to unlock it in Disk Utility before you can do anything with it.
