Anyway to implement a dual axis graph in xcelsius?

anyone know how to implement a dual axis graph in xcelsius?
i tried faking a dual axis graph by super imposing 2 graphs, one with the axis labels and the other one without, but the legends would never line up especially if i placed the legend at the bottom of the chart.
any ideas?
-shawn

i am not able to get exactly the problem where  you are getting that, if you get it in line chart or any other charts we can fake any chart on the basis of scenario by giving display status key and another options also there for this.
i hope you get some idea, if u not able to understand pls mail me with your exact scenarion i will send the complete solution to you.
Thank you,
Santhosh.

  • Xcelcius 2008 - Dual Axis Graph Mouse Over Display

    I am working on a dual-axis graph where one value is a percentage and another is numeric. I am having an issue where I cannot format the hovers into multiple formats (i.e. one as numeric, the other as a percentage). In the graph properties I only see one property to modify Mouse-Over Values, but I need to modify it for each axis.
    Thanks ahead of time.

    Hi Diney,
    I Have to show all the projects per client requirement, I want to remove the legends(which I already did), and instead show the project name only when the mouse is rolled over in the graph. Is it possible?
    Thanks for your time and help.

  • Changing scale on Dual Axis on Illustrator Graph

    Looking for some assistance on changing the scale when you have a dual axis, but only on one side. I can select the entire graph and change the left and right axis. However even when I select only one line (via the legend) I cannot just change one side. Appreciate any assistance....thanks

    Hi Kalyan
    I have seen this happening on a PowerPivot workbook in which the selected option had no value, which triggered the chart to lose its configuration.  This is a bug, though I would argue is a bug in the Pivot Charts and not in PowerPivot itself.
    The solution I used was to remove the slicer option that yields no value (in your case it would be NA), so the user can only select valid combinations that retrieve a numeric output.

  • Change color of measures - Column Combination Dual Axis

    Hi,
    I have a couple of graphs of the type Column Combination Dual Axis.
    I want to change the colors for these measures but that does not seem to be possible when using this type of chart?
    I can only change the color of the Axis?
    First, I thought it was something wrong with my chart so I tried to create a new application with this chart type and got the same result.
    Does anyone know if it should be like this?
    Br
    Max

    Hi Max,
    how many measures do you want to use for the Chart type "Column Combination Dual Axis"?
    Do you have tried to swap the axis in your chart type setting?
    In my case it works as expected and I´m able to change the color of the measures ( = the axis)
    I think it´s important to add the measures in the rows at the initial view of the data source (or you can change it by swap the axis in the chart).
    Hope it helps!

  • Help Needed : ADF DVT Dual Y graph Tabular data

    Hi,
    I need to display a dvt:lineGraph containing 2 Y axis.
    The data for the graph is tabular data from a backing bean.
    I am able to display a single y axis graph.
    But since dual y graph needs two series set I am facing problem in specifying that which rows belongs to first series set and which rows belong to the other series set.
    The tabular data is a dynamic one which may change upon every partial refresh every 5 seconds.

  • Is it possible to create a dual y-axis chart in Xcelsius?

    Is it possible to create a dual axis type chart, mixed bar and line?

    Xcelsius does not currently have the ability to create a dual axis chart. However, other users have been able to create a workaround by layering two charts on top of each other and hiding the undesired elements of the second chart. A third chart can be added in much the same way to display the second axis' label(s). Searching the internet for articles from users should locate step by step instructions.

  • How to implement a dual booting PXI system using windows 7 and labview RT

    Good Day
    My name is Mariano Ocana from the University of Manitoba, and I want to implement a dual system using windows 7 and labview RT in a PXIe-1082 chassis with a PXIe-8102 embedded controlled (the chassis came with windows 7 installed). What are the steps to use both systems (windows and RT)  in the same chassis?, in the NI help comes an example implementing a dual system using windows xp and RT, it is the same procedure?.
    Thank you in advance for all your help.
    Regards
    M. Ocana

    Greetings, Mariano.
    The real issue you have to contend with is whether or not you have a LabVIEW RT license.  If the 8102 controller was purchased Windows-Only, you likely do not have a license to run LabVIEW RT on the controller - you can purchase one, I think it's about $500, and at that point you can request a LabVIEW RT Configuration CD (that's not what it's called, but the sales guy will know what I'm talking about).  The Config CD is a CD that will partition your controller correctly with both FAT32 and NTFS filesystems (in the appropriate way) to allow you to run Windows 7 and LabVIEW Real-Time on the controller correctly.  Once done, you can then switch within the BIOS between LabVIEW Real-Time and Windows in order to dual-boot.
    Either way, you likely need to contact NI sales to either purchase an RT license (if one was not received at the time of purchase) or to request a Configuration CD (it might also be called a dual-boot install CD or similar).

  • JFreeChart Dual Axis Problem

    Hi:
    I've developed a Dual Axis Chart (bar and line char) using the JFreeChart library.
    However, when the chart is displayed in the screen the line chart appears always behind the bar chart. How can I solve this? I would like that the bar chart appears behind the line chart.
    Here you can find a little bit of code:
               final DefaultCategoryDataset dataset = new DefaultCategoryDataset();
               final DefaultCategoryDataset dataset2 = new DefaultCategoryDataset();
    // Here I add values to the datasets
                JFreeChart chart;
                if(tres.isSelected()) chart = ChartFactory.createBarChart3D("EVOLUCI DE LA PRODUCCI DE RESIDUS MUNICIPALS ("+c+") "+dd1+" --> "+dd2+". QUANTITATS EXPRESADES EN KG. / HAB. * DIA", "MES", "KG. / HAB. * DIA", dataset, PlotOrientation.VERTICAL, true, true, false);
                else chart = ChartFactory.createBarChart("EVOLUCI DE LA PRODUCCI DE RESIDUS MUNICIPALS ("+c+") "+dd1+" --> "+dd2+". QUANTITATS EXPRESADES EN KG. / HAB. * DIA", "MES", "KG. / HAB. * DIA", dataset, PlotOrientation.VERTICAL, true, true, false);
                chart.setBackgroundPaint(new Color(204, 204, 255));
                final CategoryPlot plot = chart.getCategoryPlot();
                plot.setBackgroundPaint(Color.white);
                plot.setDomainAxisLocation(AxisLocation.BOTTOM_OR_LEFT);
                plot.setRangeAxisLocation(AxisLocation.TOP_OR_LEFT);
                final CategoryItemRenderer renderer1 = plot.getRenderer();
                renderer1.setSeriesPaint(0, Color.RED);
                final ValueAxis axis2 = new NumberAxis3D("POBLACI");
                plot.setRangeAxis(1, axis2);
                plot.setDataset(1, dataset2);
                plot.mapDatasetToRangeAxis(1, 1);
                final CategoryItemRenderer renderer2 = new LineAndShapeRenderer();
                renderer2.setSeriesPaint(0, Color.blue);
                plot.setRenderer(1, renderer2);
                plot.setDatasetRenderingOrder(DatasetRenderingOrder.REVERSE);

                frame.setIconImage(new ImageIcon(getClass().getResource("/rsu/Imatges/reciclatge.gif")).getImage());

  • 2 axis graphs

    Is it possible to have a two axis graph with values of one axis in the form of a stacked graph and the value of the second axis displayed as a line graph?
    I can do it in a regular bar graph but I need a "stacked" bar

    ogsamerz wrote:
    i read this answer on another post. Im having a hard time figuring out how to reset the background.
    Also is it possible to set the second graph to a second y axis? to the right side of the graph?
    Select the front chart, then use the Fill: color well to choose None (the square with a slash through it at the top left of the color palette).
    Numbers places the Y axis and its value labels at the left of the chart. Use the Y axis options popup menu in the Axis section of the Chart Inspector to turn off Show Axis, Show Value Labels and Show minimum value. Add a text box and type in the values, including the minimum value, with enough returns after each to align the numbers with the grid lines. Add a Line using the Shapes button, rotate it 90 degrees. Use these as the Y axis (on the right) and Y value labels.

  • Bar chart with dual axis plotting incorrectly

    Hi,
    I have created a BAR_VERT_CLUST2Y, which has 4 series of data.
    The problem I am experiencing is that when the data is charted, it appears that only the first series of data charts correctly (i.e. from the left axis). The second series of data charts from the right axis and the remaining series all chart on the left axis. I would have thought that the first and second series use the left axis and the third and fourth use the right?
    I would be grateful if anyone had any suggestions how this can be resolved or if they have come across something similar and found a way around it, it would be much appreciated?
    Many thanks.
    P.

    Xcelsius does not currently support dual axis. However, the workaround to this is to layer two charts on top of each other. You would then need to add line components and labels to complete the effect.

  • How to implement Bursting(Row level security) in Xcelsius

    Hi,
    We are using Xcelsius 2008. We have created xcelsius dashboard using Qaaws but for authentication in qaaws we are suing enterprise authentication and default user.
    Now in my dashboard i have one combo box wich gives data fro diffrent states, now i need to restrict the user to see the state values. I implement the row level security in universe, when i create webi report and view that reprot in infoview, the row level security works. But when i publish the dashboard to infoview the row level security doesn't work.
    We are uisng XO 3.1 with SSO on IIS. So how and what are the diffrent option available to implement the row level security in Xcelsius Dashboard.
    Thanks for the help in advance.

    Nimesh,
    Were you able to implement ? I have a requirement to use the same dashboard for 5 regional users.
    Row level security works.
    combo box intial value is Global , when I login as North America user, combo still shows Global but it will have the value of North America.

  • Getting dual axis on a graph in SSRS to align at 0

    I have a graph that has 2 values that are plotted on dual axes.  Both values can be positive or negative.  Is there a way in SSRS to align the 0 point of both axes?  Preferably, I would like to retain dynamic values for the axes.
    I'm using 2008r2
    Thanks for any help.

    I figured out the issue with incrementing whole numbers, and this is the solution I used.
    You will need to manually set the interval value to determine the increments you want the line showing up. In my case I wanted the primary axis to show a value every 5 and the secondary axis to show a value every 5000.
    Manually setting the interval will cause the primary and secondary axes to be off again. To fix this, we will need to have the same amount of intervals on both axes. For instance, if we have 6 intervals on the primary axis we will need to have 6 intervals
    on the secondary axis to keep them lined up.
    I wrote custom code that will be used as expressions in the Maximum setting for both axes. The purpose of the functions will be to determine which axis will have more intervals, then calculate the maximum value needed to have the same amount of intervals.
    Primary Axis Maximum Expression
    =Code.FindMaxValueForPrimary(max(Fields!PrimaryField.Value), max(Fields!SecondaryField.Value))
    Secondary Axis Maximum Expression
    =Code.FindMaxValueForSecondary(max(Fields!PrimaryField.Value), max(Fields!SecondaryField.Value))
    Custom Code
    Public Function FindMaxValueForPrimary(ByVal PrimaryValue as Integer, ByVal SecondaryValue As Integer) As Integer
    IF Ceiling(SecondaryValue/5000) >= Ceiling(PrimaryValue/5) Then
    Return Ceiling(SecondaryValue/5000) * 5
    Else
    Return Ceiling(PrimaryValue/5) * 5
    End If
    End Function
    Public Function FindMaxValueForSecondary(ByVal PrimaryValue as Integer, ByVal SecondaryValue As Integer) As Integer
    IF Ceiling(SecondaryValue/5000) >= Ceiling(PrimaryValue/5) Then
    Return Ceiling(SecondaryValue/5000)*5000
    Else
    Return Ceiling(PrimaryValue/5) * 5000
    End If
    End Function

  • ENH: Enable Dual-axis Bar Charts

    Enhancement Request for SVG Charts (Bar, Line):
    1) Allow specification of dual y-axis values, such that series a, b, and c can show relative to values on y-axis1 (on left side of chart) and series x, y, and z can show relative to values on y-axis2 (on right side of chart).
    2) Format spacing of x-axis values across the width of the chart, not based on the max rows specified for the series. For example, showing weeks on the x-axis with max rows = 53, if actual rows in the chart is 13, the valules would spread out to fill the width of the axis, not leaving empty space for the remaining, unfilled, weeks.

    Hi Lora,
    Once you set a series to be displayed on the secondary axis, you will be able to configure the secondary axis on the Behavior and Appearance tabs.
    Basically, if no series are plotted on the secondary axis, it will appear as if this capability is not available.
    Please let me know if I have explained myself correctly.
    Thanks,
    Gerrit
