Apache common-cli: --long-option=VALUE ?

hello
I want my application displaying following help on command line:--long-option=VALUEHaving read instructions on http://commons.apache.org/cli/usage.html I wrote following code for common-cli-1.2:    options.addOption(
       OptionBuilder.withLongOpt("long-option")
         .withValueSeparator('=')
         .hasArg()
         .withArgName("VALUE")
         .create());But the result is:--long-option &lt;VALUE&gt;How do I force common-cli to output <tt>long-option=VALUE</tt> instead of <tt>long-option &lt;VALUE&gt;</tt>?
bye
TPD

To me it says, you're passing in an object whose value will be ignored. Only its type will be used (Integer in your first example). Then, the next time you use that OptionBuilder to create an Option, it will create an Option of that type (an Integer Option in your example). Note that in Java 5 and later, autoboxing will convert primitives into objects if it feels like it.
If it was me I would have declared it as "withType(Class newType)" to make that clearer. But since they didn't, perhaps my interpretation isn't correct.
Does that address your question?

  • Apache commons logging help

    Hello,
    I am trying to use castor beans in a back end java
    application that I instantiate from within a cold fusion page using
    the cfobject tag. Castor beans has a dependency on a newer version
    of apache commons logging than is shipped with Cold Fusion. I found
    the following knowledgebase article that describes the issue, but I
    can't seem to get it to work. The first thing is that I don't have
    a WEB-INF/cfusion/lib directory, and secondly, if I create it (to
    put the thirdparty directory in it) then I can no longer access my
    applications main web page (this page is a simple cfm file with no
    java calls or anything). Any help is appreciated.
    knowledge base article:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=98b79ee8
    thanks.

    after looking into this further it appears that the solution
    outlined in the knowledgebase article is geared toward the
    multi-server configuration rather than in the self contained
    configuration. Since I have ColdFusion Standard edition, it isn't
    an option for me to use the multi-server configuration. Does anyone
    know how to accomplish the same thing in Cold Fusion MX7 Standard
    Edition?
    thanks.

  • Problems with Apache Commons Validator

    Hello there,
    I got a quiet big problem using the a.m. validation framework. When defining a validation rule for a property like this:
    <formset>
    <form name="testForm">
    <field property="firstName" depends="isEmail">
    <arg0 key="testForm.firstname"/>
    </field>
    </form>
    </formset>
    and instanciating my validator as follows:
    Validator validator = new Validator(resources, "testForm");
    validator.setParameter(Validator.BEAN_PARAM, name);
    everything works fine! I get a correct ValidatorResult object with a correct validation value.
    But as soons as I define a second Validation on the same property like this:
    <formset>
    <form name="testForm">
    <field property="firstName" depends="isEmail,isBlankOrNull">
    <arg0 key="testForm.firstname"/>
    </field>
    </form>
    </formset>
    Nothing works anymore. When iterating over the ValidatorResults object I only get one ValidatorResult object for "isEmail" with a wrong validation value. There should be two working ValidatorResult objects for "isEmail" and "isBlankOrNull"?!?!
    Are two validation method in the depends-Attribute not allowed (although it is defined in the standard)?
    You can assume, that the used validator class is conform to the given org.apache.commons.TestValidator!
    For any help, thx in advance!

        <var-value>AND</var-value>
      </var>
    </field>
    </form>" Which is read as follows: The firstName field is only required if the lastName field is non-null. Since field-indexed is true, it means that lastName must be a property of the same indexed field as firstName. Same thing for dob, except that we validate for date if not blank.
    The coverageType is only required if the lastName for the same indexed bean is not null, and also if the non-indexed field insureDependents is true.
    You can have an arbitrary number of fields by using the [n] syntax, the only restriction is that they must all be AND or OR, you can't mix. "
    Hope that helps,

  • Apache commons FileUpload: Pass stream as attribute

    I'm trying to implement a Filter that will change all the HTTP parameters to attributs, so that I can handle them in a consistent way throughout my servlets. The apache commons fileupload part is giving me problems. I'm changing the parameters to attributes like this
    if(URLENCODED.equalsIgnoreCase(contentType) || contentType == null) // Used with normal form data
      Enumeration<String> params = request.getParameterNames();
      while(params.hasMoreElements())
        String name = params.nextElement();
        String value = request.getParameter(name);
        request.setAttribute(name, value);
    else if(contentType.toLowerCase().startsWith(MULTIPART))     // Used when file is uploaded with POST
      // Create file upload handler
      ServletFileUpload upload = new ServletFileUpload();
      FileItemIterator iter;
      iter = upload.getItemIterator((HttpServletRequest) request);
      while(iter.hasNext())
        FileItemStream item = (FileItemStream)iter.next();
        InputStream itemStream = item.openStream();
        if(item.isFormField())          // form item
          BufferedReader rd = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(itemStream));
          String line;
          while((line = rd.readLine()) != null)
            streamParamsToAttributes(line)
      else          // file
        request.setAttribute("filestream", itemStream);
    }In my servlet I use the file stream with following code
    InputStream itemStream = (InputStream)(request.getAttribute("filestream"));
    useStream(itemStream)Here the useStream() method will throw a FileItemStream.ItemSkippedException since I'm trying to read data from the stream after the iter.next() was called.
    So my question is, how to handle this kind of situation? The file can be quite big, so reading it to memory is not wise. And as I read, copying the stream is not a straight-forward task.
    I noticed that O'Reilly has also a library for handling file uploads, is it any better in this case?
    Thanks.

    I looked at the O'Reilly lib and it seems to always save the file to disk. So no streaming possibility.
    One solution I can think of would be to 'manually' read the data from the request. I can get the data with request.getReader() call. The file data can be found by the boundary. Now I'm wondering whether this will solve anything. Can anyone see some caveats in this approach?

  • Problems with Apache Commons FileUpload

    I'm completely stymied here. I've been trying to get the Apache Commons FileUpload working with a JBoss 4.2 server, and having no luck whatsoever. The servlet is listed out here:

              } catch (FileUploadException e) {
                   e.printStackTrace();
    }When run, I hit it with a get operation, and get the form. When I put in 2 forms (in reality, all i want to do is use one, but I'm tinkering), I see nothing in items list...
    Run, with 2 files selected to upload:
    13:50:15,421 DEBUG [Filer] Received a POST request. Multipart is flagged as true
    13:50:15,421 DEBUG [Filer] Size of upload is 0 items.
    I've tried variation after variation after variation, and it jst doesn't work. I'm using commons-fileupload-1.2.1.
    Help! :)

    On the client side, the client's browser must support form-based upload. Most modern browsers do, but there's no guarantee. For your case,
    The servlet can use the GET method parameters to decide what to do with the upload while the POST body of the request contains the file data to parse.
    When the user clicks the "Upload" button, the client browser locates the local file and sends it using HTTP POST, encoded using the MIME-type multipart/form-data. When it reaches your servlet, your servlet must process the POST data in order to extract the encoded file. You can learn all about this format in RFC 1867.
    Unfortunately, there is no method in the Servlet API to do this. Fortunately, there are a number of libraries available that do. Some of these assume that you will be writing the file to disk; others return the data as an InputStream.
    Jason Hunter's MultipartRequest (available from [http://www.servlets.com/])
    Apache Jakarta Commons Upload (package org.apache.commons.upload) "makes it easy to add robust, high-performance, file upload capability to your servlets and web applications"
    *CParseRFC1867 (available from [http://www.servletcentral.com/]).
    *HttpMultiPartParser by Anil Hemrajani, at the isavvix Code Exchange
    *There is a multipart/form parser availailable from Anders Kristensen ([http://www-uk.hpl.hp.com/people/ak/java/] at [http://www-uk.hpl.hp.com/people/ak/java/#utils].
    *JavaMail also has MIME-parsing routines (see the Purple Servlet References).
    *Jun Inamori has written a class called org.apache.tomcat.request.ParseMime which is available in the Tomcat CVS tree.
    *JSPSmart has a free set of JSP for doing file upload and download.
    *UploadBean by JavaZoom claims to handle most of the hassle of uploading for you, including writing to disk or memory.
    There's an Upload Tag in dotJ
    Once you process the form-data stream into the uploaded file, you can then either write it to disk, write it to a database, or process it as an InputStream, depending on your needs. See How can I access or create a file or folder in the current directory from inside a servlet? and other questions in the Servlets:Files Topic for information on writing files from a Servlet.
    Please note: that you can't access a file on the client system directly from a servlet; that would be a huge security hole. You have to ask the user for permission, and currently form-based upload is the only way to do that.
    I still have doubt if all the moentioned resources are alive or not

  • Connect to FTP site with Apache commons net FTP client through Proxy

    Hello,

    try {

    So I know the proxy settings are correct.
    The java version I used to compile and run my apps is 1.6.0_06 Does anyone can help figure out what is wrong when I use the Apache commons net FTP client?
    Thank you
    Jon

    Is the old AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS)
    configured so that the option to distribute IP
    addresses is DISABLED? If so, configure the new AEBS
    to act as a bridge.
    Are you suggesting I use a set-up with TWO AEBSs? Set up a bridge (not sure how) and then use the old AEBS to connect to the DSL modem and broadcast to the new Extreme which will then be the router to the other computers on the network?
    Do you have any port mapping or default host enabled
    on the old AEBS?
    I do not understand, not do I see these options in the Base Station utitlity; perhaps they are in the FTP options--but that, I'm sorry to say, is not obvious to my inspection.
    Duane, can you give me a few more basic instructions? Thanks

  • GP - How to display a long string value

    I'm trying to display a really long string value and then allow the user a couple of result state choices (to either go back and do another search or finish).
    None of the forms (WD, display, etc.) will display a really long string.
    I tried using a loop type decision dialog, but there doesn't appear to be a way of having it pick up a parameter value as the message (or part of the message) to display.
    I can get it to display in the complex type decision dialog, but I don't need the group/options and I can't seem to get rid of the second set of buttons that show up (the long string parameter value was put into the 'Info Texts' area and does display ok).
    Is there any easy way of displaying the complete contents of a long string value and have buttons for results states?  I'd even be happy if I could just display the whole string and use a separate callable object for the choices.
    Thanks,
    Cindy

    I think you should try calling a JAVA or ABAP Webdynpro as the callable object. As you know, we can display long texts in the webdynpro fields. Other alternative is an Adobe form as well.
    Cheers,

  • Utilize Apache Commons Logging and Log4J

    Hello Forum,
    I have some questions regarding the usage of Apache Commons Logging in combination
    with Log4J. As wer're doing cross platform development for JBoss and NetWeaver I
    can't rely on SAP Logging facilities.
    The information I used to set up the logging are written down in the Article:
    "Integrating 3rd Party Logging Frameworks into SAP NetWeaver".
    I created the package "util" within my testing project and placed the .java classes
    "SapLogAppender.java" and "SapLogJclImpl.java" into it.
    After that I created a log4j.xml configuration file with the following content:
    [code]
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <!DOCTYPE log4j:configuration SYSTEM "log4j.dtd">
    <log4j:configuration xmlns:log4j='http://jakarta.apache.org/log4j/'>
      <appender name="STDOUT" class="org.apache.log4j.ConsoleAppender">
        <layout class="org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout">
          <param name="ConversionPattern" value="%-5p %C (Line %L) - %m%n"/>
        </layout>
      </appender>
      <appender name="FILE_LOG" class="org.apache.log4j.FileAppender">
        <param name="File" value="${user.dir}/log/myTestLogFile.log"/>
        <param name="append" value="false"/>
        <param name="ImmediateFlush" value="true"/>
        <layout class="org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout">
          <param name="ConversionPattern" value="%d %-5p %C (Line %L) - %m%n"/>
        </layout>
      </appender>
      <appender name="SAP_LOG" class="de.collogia.util.SapLogAppender">
        <param name="categoryName" value="sapmon"/>
      </appender>
      <category name="de.collogia" additivity="false">
        <priority value="debug" />
        <appender-ref ref="FILE_LOG"/>
        <appender-ref ref="SAP_LOG"/>
      </category>
      <root>
        <priority value="error" />
        <appender-ref ref="STDOUT"/>
      </root>
    </log4j:configuration>
    [/code]
    After that I created the file "commons-logging.properties" with the following content:
    [code]
    org.apache.commons.logging.Log=de.collogia.util.SapLogJclImpl
    [/code]
    I put the configuration files in the root of the classes folder, created the .jar in the
    EJB-Project, created the .ear in the EAR-Project and deployed the application.
    The application contains just a simple session bean with a remotable method that
    shall do some logging using the following statements:
    [code]
    LOG.trace("Testing log trace level");
    LOG.debug("Testing log debug level");
    LOG.info("Testing log info level");
    [/code]
    The only logging output I'm able to find is located in file:
    C:\NWAS_JAVAEE5\JP1\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log\applications.0.log
    and it logs the info level logging message.
    If I understood the afore mentioned paper right the debug and trace level logging
    mesages shall go to file:
    C:\NWAS_JAVAEE5\JP1\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log\defaultTrace.0.trc
    Unfortunately there isn't logged anything. I looked through the log facility
    in SAPMMC but there isn't anything to.
    The most inconvenient behaviour of the NetWeaver is that since the my stateless
    session beans class contains the logging code I'm only able to deploy once.
    A second deplyoment fails with a large Exception I will append below. The problem
    is definitely related to logging - after removing the line:
    [code]
        /** The <code>Log</code> object for this class. */
        private static final Log LOG = LogFactory.getLog(TravelAgentBean.class);
    [/code]
    from the stateless session bean I'm able to deploy as often I like to.
    The line re-enabled, deployed the ear, invoking the remotable method once and every
    subsequent deplyoment fails with:
    [code]
    [EXCEPTION]
    #1#com.sap.engine.services.orpersistence.container.deploy.ActionException: Clusterwide exception: java.io.IOException: Cannot delete file: C:

    Well, yes - and no. The output you see is from the SAP Logging framework. But behind it still uses log4j / commons logging. And that's not surprising at all. That is exactly what the article describes - a bridge (routing) to SAP Logging, right? This is useful when you are porting existing apps (potentially using several logging frameworks) to the SAP NetWeaver Application Server and adapt them to use the SAP Logging framework thus achieving a unified logging experience. However, if you want to simply use log4j, I'd suggest that you just follow the steps described in Logging Questions isn't really

    OK, it was not actually meant to serve as a solution, but more as an explanation for the error you experienced. But you're right, maybe I had to elaborate a bit. You already spotted the culprit:
    LogFactory.getLog(TravelAgentBean.class)
    With this line of code you hand the TravelAgentBean class to the Commons Logging library which then keeps (eternally) that reference and hence the classloader of your application. This prevents from deleting the jars on the next deployment since the resources are locked by the classloader.
    Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any real solution right now. I just have the strong feeling that if you pack the logging frameworks together within your app (as opposed to as a separate library), this error should not occur at all.

  • International Long Distance Value Plan

    I'm trying to confirm that the International Long Distance Value Plan (calling Canada = $5.00 monthly access charge, $0.01/min for landline and mobile) can be added to a ALLSETS prepaid plan. I'm hoping to setup a prepaid plan in the next few days. I had talked to a Verizon rep on the phone and they had said that this plan cannot be added to a prepaid plan. I had chatted via the online chat with a rep who said that it is possible to do this. International Prepaid Phones & Plans - Verizon Wireless is where I saw this Long Distance plan. So who/what is correct?

    I just chatted with another rep online. Additional funds must be made available on the Prepaid account before using the International Long Distance Value Plan. So for a smartphone, it would be the $45 for the ALLSETS plan, plus $5 for the access fee, plus however much more funds are added to use the per min. charge to make the international long distance call.
    The other option would be to go with the plan that offers 1000 mins. for $10/month (calling Canada).

  • Oracle ODBC Error - Option Value Changed - What does it Mean and How to fix

    We have an asp web report making calls to an oracle 8i database. It appears that we get the following error on regular basis for one particular report:
    Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e31'
    [Oracle][ODBC]Option value changed.
    /FinalBilling/Report2.asp, line 49
    When the web page is refreshed, it appears the error goes away. Any new call to the database from the web page will start with the error again though.
    Other web pages seem to work ok with out error.
    Did a number of google searches did not find anything definative that seemed to help.

    These messages can be ignored. They are common but innocuous. There is nothing you need to fix.

  • Tomcat 4.1 Oracle Blob problem using apache commons DBCP

    Hi all,
    We are using Tomcat 4.1.12, Java 1.4.x and trying to take advantage of the connection pooling that comes with Tomcat(the apache commons DBCP).
    We are connecting to a oracle database.
    Works fine for everything EXCEPT Blobs. We have a servlet that serves images from Oracle, that works fine when it doesn't use the connection pooling, but throws an exception when we call the
    ERROR: Class:DisplayGraphic Method:processRequest(HttpServletRequest request, Ht
    tpServletResponse response)
    Exception: org.apache.commons.dbcp.DelegatingResultSet
    DataSource ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup("jdbc/db_connection");
    Connection conn = ds.getConnection();
    PreparedStatement pstmt = null;
    ResultSet rs = null;
    pstmt = conn.prepareStatement("SELECT graphic FROM graphics WHERE graphic_id = 1");
    rs = pstmt.executeQuery();
    if(rs.next())
        oracle.sql.BLOB oBlob = ((OracleResultSet) oRS).getBLOB("GRAPHIC");
        InputStream oIS =  oBlob.getBinaryStream();
        ... etc etc...
    }Any ideas?
    Cheers,
    Alex.

    solved the problem.. i was using getBLOB instead of
    getBlob
    doh..Hi Alex,
    your problem is very interesting for me because I have a similar problem and your identical configuration...
    the instruction
    oracle.slq.BLOB aBlob = ((OracleResultSet)super.mRs).getBLOB("BLOBBONE")
    causes this:
    java.lang.ClassCastException: org.apache.commons.dbcp.DelegatingResultSet
    To resolve this, I changed, in server.xml , the factory
    <parameter>
                        <name>factory</name>
                        <value>org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSourceFactory</value>
                   </parameter>
    with:
    <parameter>
    <name>factory</name>
    <value>oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSourceFactory</value>
    </parameter>
    and magically all works fine...
    But the question is... Why doesn't it work with the standard factory???
    There is a problem in the CLASSPATH that I don't see?
    Any suggestions is welcome!
    Thanks in advance!
    Giselda

    could my error be comming from the installation of apache-commons? i can't access ActionRequest class...why is that, anyone please help me, my job is on the line as my deadline is today.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello Ankur,
    You said:
    The reason for this is, unlike the request parameters, the multipart formdata is 'read-once-only' (because once
    the data is read off the ServletInputStream, it is gone! It cannot be read again). When you call a full portal request it goes through lot of gets before reaching your component.
    The above concept is not fully clear to me. I got a hint to something like this happening from this link that explains the need for portlets API scenario compared to a servlets scenario - Link: http://commons.apache.org/fileupload/using.html
    (Search for Servlets and Portlets within that link)
    I initially thought something like what you had replied would have happened. However, when I do a getContentLength on HTTPServletRequest in the SAP Portal mode (role -> workset -> iview), the size still includes that of the uploaded document. So like you said "it is gone! It cannot be read again" may not be accurate.
    My question still remains open.

  • Help with fileupload (apache commons)

    Hey everyone,
    Im having some trouble with uploading mulitple files using the apache commons lib. It will only upload the first one! I bet im missing somthing stupid, but if someone could point out my mistake it would be great. Thanks ahead on time.
    JSP form:
    <form method=POST action="LunchFrontController" enctype="multipart/form-data">
            XML Menu<input type = "file" name="file"><br>
            Image Menu<input type = "file" name="file2"> <br>
            <input type=hidden name="<%=BeanNames.JSP_NAME%>" value="RestaurantUploader.jsp">
             <input type="submit" name="Submit">
    </form>Upload code:
    public String loadFile(HttpServletRequest request, ServletContext ctx) {
         boolean isMultipart = FileUpload.isMultipartContent(request);
         if(isMultipart) {
              List items = null;
              DiskFileUpload upload = new DiskFileUpload();
              upload.setSizeMax(500000);
              try {
                   items = upload.parseRequest(request);
                   Iterator iter = items.iterator();
                   while(iter.hasNext()) {
                         FileItem item = (FileItem) iter.next();
                         System.out.println(item);
                         if(!item.isFormField()) {
                               String name = item.getName();
                               String ext = name.substring(name.lastIndexOf(".")+1);
                               //if(ext.equals("xml") || ext.equals("jpg")) {
                                    String fileName = (String)ctx.getAttribute(BeanNames.FILE_URL);
                                    File f = new File(fileName + "//" + name);
                                       FileOutputStream fout = new FileOutputStream(f);
                                fout.write(item.get());
                                fout.close();
                                return item.getName();
                   catch(Exception e) {
                        e.printStackTrace();
              return "";
         }

    LOL found out what i did wrong last week, just posting the answer in case anyone was interested in the code... it would be nice if took out the return statement in the middle :)

  • MBP vs MBP Retina for long term value?

    I'm looking to upgrade from my current MBP to a higher performing one. I bought my current mid-2011 13" for basic use, word processing, internet, etc. I now work at an internet marketing and design agency though and it's not performing well enough for my needs.
    I run a fair number of programs (evernote, skype, ical, excel, word, itunes, firefox, and chrome with a bunch of tabs open at once) at the same time and my RAM (currently 4gb) is always maxed out right now. My current computer also won't handle photoshop, which I need to be able to use (not all day, everyday, but I do need to be able to use it). I'd like to be able to run Boot Camp or Parallels as well.
    I spent a few hours today researching and got it down to roughly 2 options. My main issue between the two is long term value, which one will work the longest/be worth the most in 3-4 years when I want to upgrade.
    Option 1. Buy a 15" MBP 2.6ghz Retina with 16GM Ram upgrade. I know this is more than enough for my needs, I would mainly be buying this with the hope it would last a long time and so be worth it. My main problem with the Retina is the inability to upgrade so I feel like I have to make sure I get everything on the front end. (Cost $3k)
    Option 2. Buy a standard 15" MBP knowing that I could upgrade to a SSD and add more RAM when I need it. My thinking is that RAM and SSDs are only going to get cheaper  so why not just hold out for if/when I need it.
    So which option do you think I should choose? If I go with option 2, is it worth it to upgrade to the 2.6ghz processor? I would get the 8gb RAM either way so it would effectively be a $300 upgrade.
    Thanks for your replies.

    If I were you I would go for MBP with retina display. And if the price matters for you you can get the base model with 2.3ghz + 16G RAM. This one works like the 2.6ghz for you and you and I couldn't see the differences on our regular daily usage. With the money that you can save you can buy an external HD with thunderbolt support (7200rpm or even go for RAID). Probably after few years it would be no difference between 2.3ghz and 2.6ghz and both of them will be old and no one cares about 0.3ghz more or less. The only problem is in storage (which software are getting bigger every day) which I heard you can upgrade the MBPr storage in the future.
    Upgradeable it's just a term. What you want to upgrade after 3-4 years in standard MBP? Let me see there is only two things for upgrade storage and memory. Not CPU nor Graphic card or anything else. I heard they can change the storage on MBPr not at the moment but maybe in future. For the RAM part I see a lot of people want to buy 8G RAM not even 16G because 8G is clearly enough for few years. But you can go with the 16G and make sure you can have a high end machine for years. (But honestly, most of the people go with the new machines after few years and they don't upgrade that much.)
    So non-upgradeable is not an issue in MBPr for a lot of people except some people. The only thing you should be worried about is being repairable (1/10 score from iFixit) which you can buy AppleCare with the money you saved (from 2.6ghz to 2.3ghz) and be happy at least for 3 years.
    iIt was my opinion and of course you should do what ever works for you.
    good luck

  • Select-option value is not getting captured in at selection-screen on value

    In Selection screen , we have Select-option and  a parameter.
    Based on the values given in Select-option, the values of Parameter should get populate.
    To achieve this functionality,
    I  used  At selection u2013screen  on value request  for <parameter>  EVENT and 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST' Function Module.
    But the Select-option values are not getting captured in this event,unless u press Enter key.
    Is there any other way to achieve this functionality.
    Please Guide me.

    When you call function 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'. make sure you send it the name of the screen variable - the F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST function calls DYNP_VALUES_READ itself if you tell it the name of your report, screen number, and the variable name... snippet below.
    Jonathan
      data:
        l_repid             type syrepid.
      l_repid = sy-repid.
      call function 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
        exporting
          dynpprog         = l_repid
          dynpnr           = '1000'
          dynprofield      = 'S_FIELD-LOW'  "Select options - low value
