APEX_030200.wwv_flows

Hi all
I used the table flows_020100.wwv_flows in SQL query of my previous version, after upgrading to APEX 3.2 it's giving error ORA-06550: line 9, column 32: PL/SQL: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist . I also tried by changing the table name to APEX_030200.wwv_flows but giving the same error.

Samy,
You might want to see what columns you need from wwv_flows and find them in one of the APEX_?? views. These views all get public synonyms so you can drop the schema name and the next time you upgrade you won't need to worry about changing schema names.
You can replace the columns you use in your query for the MYCOL1 stuff I put in below to find the view or views that might be suitable.
SELECT *
FROM all_tab_columns
WHERE table_name IN
SELECT view_name FROM all_views
WHERE owner = 'APEX_030200')
AND column_name IN
('MYCOL1', 'MYCOL2')
This will help insulate you from changes to APEX going forward.

    Is there a known issue with using the interactive report in version 3.1.2.00.02 with SQL that is accessing tables via a database link? I get the error 'not all variables bound', I do not get this error when using the standard report for the same SQL?

  • APEX error: Found dead shared server

    Hi,
    I frequently encounter an error when working with APEX. If I submit any change to APEX, fi a change on some page item, APEX asks me to whether I'd like to save the wwv_flow_accept URL. I then get a file save dialog. This doesn't happen all the time, but something like 2 out of 10 times I submit something.

    Best regards,

    Hi,
    I took a bit of time to dig deeper into this issue. I came to the conclusion that there is a bug in Oracle XE:
    If you connect to Oracle XE database using the EPG path and if you create a report that gets its data over a database link, the shared server processes used to connect to the database break.
    What I did to produce this error:
    I installed Oracle XE Universal Edition on a Windows XP system
    I then updated APEX to the latest version 3.2
    At the database I simply created a database link pointing to the same schema the APEX-application is running at. I tested the database link.
    I then produced a simple test application with just one Report (I also tried a PPR-report with the same result) that displays orders with a query in line with this:
    <pre>
    select o.order_id, i.order_item_id, i.quantity, p.product_name, i.unit_price, i.unit_price * i.quantity amount
    from demo_orders@ckh o, demo_order_items@ckh i, demo_product_info@ckh p
    where o.order_id = i.order_id
    and i.product_id = p.product_id
    order by o.order_id, i.order_item_id
    </pre>
    When I ran this application, I was sometimes able to see the report without an error, sometimes a shared server process broke. You can watch the processes breaking by opening the admin/bdump directory and see how the database writes trace files for the shared server processes.
    Interesting to see is that the error happens not only when you try to see the report. If you hit the edit page link while running the page or if you submit the page definition with the link query in it, the same is likely to happen. You can see this error happening when APEX offers you to download the call to wwv_flow or the f-procedure. The contents of this download then is:
    <pre>IBMPC/WIN_NT-8.1.0</pre>
    with some binary information in front of the message.
    Another bug I'd like to add came up when I was lucky to see the report with the PPR-template. I tried pagination but this wouldn't work. Looking into this, I found the following link:
    <pre>
    javascript:html_PPR_Report_Page(this,'R2060428410112776','javascript:$a_report('2060428410112776','16','15','15');')
    </pre>
    To my understanding this can't work at all if you look a the apostrophes. So how to proceed with this???
    This to me is a severe problem, as I wanted to utilize APEX as a frontend for a production database to report the contents. I was informed by Varad that a way around this is to use an Apache access to Oracle XE but as far as I'm informed, this forces me into a licenced version in order to be able to run mod_plsql.
    I read about the mod_owa-approach, but the programmers state that this is not compatible with APEX. So my question is: Do you have any suggestion on how to proceed with this?
    Thanks,
    Jürgen

    Hi Gus,
    as Rod already mentioned, wwv_flow_api.set_flow_status would be the way to go. It's no officially documented or supported API but it will do what you want. Just be prepared that it might be removed in the future. The API is defined as following:
    procedure set_flow_status (
        p_flow_id                   in number,
        p_flow_status               in varchar2,
        p_flow_status_message       in varchar2 default null,
        p_restrict_to_user_list     in varchar2 default null )Example code to make all applications unavailable (has to be executed as APEX_040200).
    begin
        for l_app in ( select id,
                              security_group_id
                         from wwv_flows )
        loop
            wwv_flow_api.set_security_group_id(l_app.security_group_id);
            wwv_flow_api.set_flow_status (
                p_flow_id     => l_app.id,
                p_flow_status => 'UNAVAILABLE' );
        end loop;
        commit;
    end;Regards

  • Row Selector Checkbox in Report throws "wwv_flow.accept" Error when checked

    Hello all,
    I ran into some time consuming trouble on
    a page of an assistant flow contains a report regions. Users shall select one or many rows from the report.
    The checkbox was added as a linked column and formatted as "Simple Checkbox".
    After submitting to the "NEXT" page an item :Px_MYEVENTS shall collect the ID column value of all selected rows.
    The page process "After Submit" shows:
    +:P2_Myevents := apex_util.table_to_string(apex_application.g_f01,';');+
    It is expected that only selected rows appear on the item, because we need this for further activities.
    On testing strange things happens:
    If no selection is done, the target page appears, the item :Px_Myevents contains the values of all rows
    When a selection is done, the branch error "wwv_flow.accept" appears, :Px_Myevents doesn't contain a value.
    This throws even when the code is used as a DA of type PLSQL - statement or function
    How do I get the expecte behaviour?

    Apex Version is 4.1.1 on Oracle 11GR2 XE

    Hi,
    Always state
    <ul>
    <li>Apex Version</li>
    <li>DB Version and edition</li>
    <li>Web server used.I.e. EPG, OHS, ApexListner Standalone or with J2EE container</li>
    <li>When asking about forms always state tabular form if it is a tabular form</li>
    <li>When asking about reports always state Classic / IR</li>
    <li><b>Always post code snippets enclosed in a pair of &#123;code&#125; tags as explained in FAQ</b></li>
    </ul>
    The following line ought to work they way you want it to , I have used this construct without issues
    :P2_Myevents := apex_util.table_to_string(apex_application.g_f01,';');
    If no selection is done, the target page appears, the item :Px_Myevents contains the <b>values of all rows</b>This suggests that all checkboxes are being treated as checked.
    You need to check why they are being treated as checked. Depends how they are rendered and if they are being manipulated in some way.
    The other point to consider is the Processing Point. The above process must run before ApplyMRU/ApplyMRD.
    You could try running the form in debug mode to see if it revealing anything in the Debug Report.
    The other way is to put it up on apex.oracle.com for someone to take a closer look at it.
    Cheers,

  • How do i see which parameters are being passed to wwv_flow.accept?

    Greetings everyone,
    After submiting a page i get this error:
    "The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server."
    I placed some inserts inside my page process to check and i found out the process isn t even being executed.
    This post seems to have some similarities to what is happening to me:
    doSubmit in javascript
    But all the items i need to change are being changed with javascript in the same page, after submiting they get the new values.
    What gets weirder is that it works properly in firefox and google chrome browser, however it is company politics that all aplications work in internet explorer and in internet explorer it doesn't work.
    So i would like to know how to see what is being passed to wwv_flow.accept so i can discard that option?
    Regards Pedro

    Greetings,
    I am working with Pedro Mendez in the same project.
    To give you more information about the problem, here is an example of the html structure in the page, just the div wich is causing problems:
    <div id="empresas">
    <form id="empresas_form" method="POST" action="" name="empresas_form">
    <input type="checkbox" name="empresas" value="DEMO2"/>
    Empresa Demonstração ( Demo 2)
    <input type="checkbox" name="empresas" value="SPA"/>
    SPA
    <input type="checkbox" name="empresas" value="GRH2"/>
    GRH2 - Brodheim
    <input type="checkbox" name="empresas" value="DEMO3"/>
    DEMO3 DEMONSTRAÇÂO
    <input type="checkbox" name="empresas" value="GRH"/>
    GRH - IMO
    <input type="checkbox" name="empresas" value="OK"/>
    OK
    <input type="checkbox" name="empresas" value="VALSAN"/>
    Valentim Santos
    </form>
    </div>
    To my understanding the variable that shoudl cause problems would be empresas_form and not empresas, since empresas is just a div.
    I need the checkboxes to be inside a form or i can t access them and i need to perform operations on them, any suggestions?

  • Error on File upload. Error processing wwv_flow.accept.

    Hi,
    I'm developing an application to upload and download files using Oracle XE 10g and APEX 3.2.0.00.27 on OS Windows XP.
    The file upload page is very simple: one file browse item, a submit button and a report based on the wwv_flow_files table.... and an extra button to save the uploaded files in the DB.
    Sometimes (almost everytime) when I press the submit button, the wwv_flow.accept process fails and I'm redirected to a page saying Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.
    I'm forced to refresh the page and then I get the following message:
    Expecting p_company or wwv_flow_company cookie to contain security group id of application owner.
    Error ERR-7621 Could not determine workspace for application (:) on application accept.
    I recreated the same page in the apex.oracle.com environment and it works, but it fails in my local environment.
    I have read some posts int his forum, but I haven't found an answer yet.

  • Wwv_flow.accept but no error message given

    We have a little problem with our ApEx application we are building.
    We do an import of a CSV file via ApEx to the database and after about 4 minutes, we get a page wwv_flow.accept and the application just gives a blanc screen... no error message, no nothing.
    Does anyone know what can cause this to happen? We have been testing with a small CSV file and then the import works just fine. But the real CSV file contains a little more than 111000 lines. When we test with this file, we get the stop after a litlle more then 4 minutes.
    The data size will have something to do it, but how do we solve this problem?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Greetz!

    There's an Apache setting to increase the timeout limit - search for "Apache" and "timeout".

  • After 4.2.1 upgrade get:  requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept not found

    Hi,
    Our hosted site just upgraded to 4.2.1 and I am getting:
    The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server.
    After trying to make a change on a master/detail form. I thought Apex 4.2 increased the # of fields on a master detail form so was surprised to see this error. Even when I reduce the number of columns showing on the detail part of the form which can have many rows as well, I am still getting the above error.
    Has there been any change in 4.2 that would change the behavior of a straightforward save of a multi row master detail form?
    In the past with Apex 4.0 I had to limit the columns being shown, but now I am reducing the # of columns even further and still get the error.
    UPDATE: I just removed from the report region definition several columns (which were deselected from the Report Attributes so not actually showing in the master-detail form) and now I am at least able to add rows and save changes. Again I am totally surprised that this behavior is happening when I thought 4.2 allowed for MORE page items!!
    I still cannot Delete rows from the detail section -- I get the odd message of :
    ORA-02292: integrity constraint (ENTERPRISE_SYSTEMS.RESOURCE_REQUEST_CON) violated - child record found
    But these rows have no child record!! They ARE the child records of the Master form. I had seen this behavior again related to the number of items showing on a page. Seems to me to be a bug in Apex that I had hoped would be removed with the 4.2 upgrade.
    Am I missing something!!

    For the first problem, I'd check the alert log first, location:
    select * from v$parameter where name like '%user_dump_dest%';

  • Show FORM without wwv_flow.accept error

    Hello,
    My problem is running when i display my page.
    Actually, i create a component Region, and i add a Display only on it(don't save). On his source we have a HTML FORM.
    My objective is to show a FORM HTML without raise exception.
    <FORM id="test">
    <INPUT TYPE="text" id="t01" size="10" onclick="javascript:function()">
    </FORM>
    They are two cases:
    1st: i put "static affectation" for "source type" of my Display Only. When i start the application, i see my form but when i try to "submit" the page i get the wwv_flow.accept error.
    2nd: in this case i put "Always Null" for "source type", i have no error when i submit but my FORM isn't displayed.
    I don't understand. If somebody can help me.
    Thanks in advance.

    LAFOND Romain - HTML DB pages are not intended for putting your own forms on. See Re: Reusing existing htp pages and search this forum for #FORM_OPEN# for different ideas.
    Case 2 is expected behavior: if you set an item to always null, it will be rendered as null.

  • Not found - The requested URL /apex/wwv_flow.show was not found on this ser

    I have a very simple anonymous block (see below) which I am using to test an area of the database I am developing using OE and APEX. Sometimes the block works and other times it fails with the following error message------
    Not found - The requested URL /apex/wwv_flow.show was not found on this server
    Before the error message is displayed a pop-up window appears with a submit button ( the heading on the window contains --- Enter Bind Variables - windows internet explorer), which I do not understand.
    Is the problem I am experiencing due to some memory limitation ? or do I have a corrupt oracle system (everything else appears OK though).
    Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
    Best Regards

    Here is the anonymous block (please no comments on the code). If I extend the number of DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINES beyond the current number of 3 it fails everytime, sometimes it works with 3, sometimes it fails. Is it related to the number of variables I am binding to the WSI_QUOTE Type ?

    The interpreter could be choking on the "*from" (no space before "from") might not be parsing the SQL as intended .
    The "Enter Bind Variables" dialog box is coming from something undefined, I'd suggest putting that block into an .sql file and run it via sqlplus.
    To demonstrate how a bind variable is handled try setting up a file with:
    select * from sometablename where somecolname = &somekeyval;
    -- or '&somekeyval' if its varchar2When you connect with sqlplus and run that file it will prompt for the value to use for "somekeyval".
    Only other thing is to ensure the "select * ..." has the same column names and in the same order as expected by the fetch, perhaps the table layout has changed and you could be getting an added column or maybe missing one at the end of the list.
    If you try running that block in a sqlplus session enable serveroutput to see the dbms_out result (set serveroutput on size 50000)

  • 404 error with wwv_flow.accept on basic Oracle XE form

    Hi all,
    after some extensive research and head-scratching, I'm stumped with the following situation, and wondered if anyone here had any insights...
    I have a colleague who is expermimenting with Apex using Oracle XE 10G (For various tedious reasons, we will not be able to use 11G if this gets beyond an experimental stage, so please don't suggest upgrading - I'd love to if I could, but thats how it is...)
    He has constructed a very basic little database of a couple of tables, then created some simple forms to play with the data. On one form (a multiple field, multiple row screen used to update and review data in a single table), he gets intermittent 404 errors referring to wwv_flow.accept
    I configured the epg to display debug info, and got a consistent stream of ORA-06550 / PLS-00103 errors all referring to finding FLOWS_020100 where it was expecting an operator, etc. (I've pasted the full debug output below minus the field data)
    Installing 10G XE onto another colleague's PC did not reproduce the problem.
    Removing and re-installing 10G XE onto the original PC still produced the same errors.
    (And fwiw, I installed 11G XE on my PC, and that works just fine)
    Does anyone have any ideas please?
    many thanks,
    Simon

    No, its a very sensible question... :)
    The difficulty I face is that it is required to test this on Oracle 10G XE, so upgrading Apex is out due to it being bundled in.
    Any actual deployment would be into an Oracle 10 environment initially, which is why it was desired to use 10G XE as the test before going about configuring anything "for real". I guess I might have to look at actually deploying it into a full test environment - especially as the error only happens on one PC.
    It would be nice to know why it does it though, just to generate a bit more confidence in the user base!

    Thanks in advance,

    Florin:
    Is the 'NAME' attribute required for the APPLET ? If not, just remove it or specify 'f01' (assuming you don't have any other apex_item generated items in the page) instead.
