404 error with wwv_flow.accept on basic Oracle XE form

Hi all,
after some extensive research and head-scratching, I'm stumped with the following situation, and wondered if anyone here had any insights...
I have a colleague who is expermimenting with Apex using Oracle XE 10G (For various tedious reasons, we will not be able to use 11G if this gets beyond an experimental stage, so please don't suggest upgrading - I'd love to if I could, but thats how it is...)
He has constructed a very basic little database of a couple of tables, then created some simple forms to play with the data. On one form (a multiple field, multiple row screen used to update and review data in a single table), he gets intermittent 404 errors referring to wwv_flow.accept
I configured the epg to display debug info, and got a consistent stream of ORA-06550 / PLS-00103 errors all referring to finding FLOWS_020100 where it was expecting an operator, etc. (I've pasted the full debug output below minus the field data)
Installing 10G XE onto another colleague's PC did not reproduce the problem.
Removing and re-installing 10G XE onto the original PC still produced the same errors.
(And fwiw, I installed 11G XE on my PC, and that works just fine)
Does anyone have any ideas please?
many thanks,
Simon

No, its a very sensible question... :)
The difficulty I face is that it is required to test this on Oracle 10G XE, so upgrading Apex is out due to it being bundled in.
Any actual deployment would be into an Oracle 10 environment initially, which is why it was desired to use 10G XE as the test before going about configuring anything "for real". I guess I might have to look at actually deploying it into a full test environment - especially as the error only happens on one PC.
It would be nice to know why it does it though, just to generate a bit more confidence in the user base!

The forms invokes a new browser and after a while it sends error stating that Internet exploerer has encountered an error and we are sorry for inconvenience. As i press OK, explorer quit. I upgraded my browser and then tried but the same error encountered.

  • Error on File upload. Error processing wwv_flow.accept.

    Hi,
I'm developing an application to upload and download files using Oracle XE 10g and APEX 3.2.0.00.27 on OS Windows XP.
The file upload page is very simple: one file browse item, a submit button and a report based on the wwv_flow_files table.... and an extra button to save the uploaded files in the DB.
Sometimes (almost everytime) when I press the submit button, the wwv_flow.accept process fails and I'm redirected to a page saying Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.
I'm forced to refresh the page and then I get the following message:
Expecting p_company or wwv_flow_company cookie to contain security group id of application owner.
Error ERR-7621 Could not determine workspace for application (:) on application accept.
I recreated the same page in the apex.oracle.com environment and it works, but it fails in my local environment.
I have read some posts int his forum, but I haven't found an answer yet.
    Please help!!!

Can anyone point me to a standalone version of OHS for linux x86-64? I'm having troubles finding this, it doesn't appear to have installed with 11g Enterprise Edition and I cannot find it in the available packages when I re-run the installer. I'm running 11g EPG now and want to convert to Apache.

  • Itanium install issues with wwv_flow.accept

We just got HTMLDB version 1.5.0.00.33 installed on our Itanium, Oracle 9.2.0.5.0. I am now trying to upload a CSS file using the managing images utilities. When I try to upload any file I get the error:
The requested URL /pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server.
    and
Oracle HTTP Server Powered by Apache/1.3.22 Server at server_name_here Port 7780
The Apache error_log has this entry:

What table or view are they talking about?

Thanks Sergio. We actually found it last night. It seems that the Itanium install instructions may have a typo on the table tames...Please see this note from one of our DBAs...
Here's the deal. The instructions in Oracle Database Companion CD Installation Guide / Chapter 5 Post Installaction Tasks / Post Installation Tasks for HTML DB / HP-UX Itanium and Linux Itanium Only: Configure a DAD for Oracle HTML DB (which I followed to the letter) are incorrect. It shows:
         Field                    Value
         Document Table               WWW_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$
         Document Access Procedure     WWW_FLOW_FILE_MANAGER.PROCESS_DOWNLOAD
The original $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/modplsql/conf/marvel.conf had the following values:
         PlsqlDocumentTablename     wwv_flow_file_objects$
         PlsqlDocumentProcedure     wwv_flow_file_manager.process_download
Note that for Itanium, the you delete all but the first line from marvel.conf.
The difference is in the prefix of the value assignments, wwv instead of www.
I changed the DAD to match the values in an unedited marvel.conf.

  • Getting 404 error when trying to login to Oracle EBS page

    Hi,
I had installed Oracle EBS 12.0.4 last year and everything was running fine until last week. Last week, we suddenly started seeing this issue - when trying to login to the Oracle EBS page, we are getting the 404 page not found error.
I have EBS installed on 2 VMs (virtual machines) - one VM has the application server and other VM has the database server. I logged on to the aplpication server to do some debugging and noticed 2 things ->
1.The Oracle Fullfillment service was not running. I started it, it was up for some time but then it stopped on its own. This happens everytime - after successfully starting the service, it shuts down after sometime. There is nothing in the event viewer except this message "The service may have terminated abnormally, please see the log file generated by the service for more details." I checked the log file, but there is nothing significant inside the log file. Maybe I need to increase the log level. Can any one tell me how can I do that?
    2. Reviver.exe was crashing intermitently on the application server. I belive reviver tries to establish the connection between the application and database server after its broken.
So I am thinking now that maybe the connection between the app server and the database server is getting broken intermittenlty and this is the root cause of all the problems.
I dont know how to verify whethe my analysis is correct or not? And it it is, how to resolved it? Is there a setting or a configuration file in which you have to specify the database server details (ip address / host name etc). Can you tell me where can I find this setting?
Or culd there be something altogether different that is causing the page not found error?
    Thanks in advance,
    Megha

    Hussein,
The problem is partially solved - I am not getting the 404 error now. The issue was not with the netsvc file. Please see the resolution in NOTE:412980.1 (oafm, forms and oacore not starting up after IP adress change).
The OC4J services are imperative for any URL for java code. With just the Apache listener running, examples of URLS that will work are ->
    http://HOST.DOMAIN:PORT/OA_MEDIA/FNDLOGOL.gif
    http://HOST.DOMAIN:PORT/
Any URL for Java code will fail at this stage when OC4J services are down. For example this URL will fail: http://myHost.oracle.com:8000/OA_HTML/ServletPing.
But now, I am getting 500 Internal server error. Let me know if you kno anything about this error ->

    Hi.
What's the layout of your webapp directory structure? More to the point,
your welcome.htm file should be in the root directory of your webapp. Can
you confirm this is where you have it?
Also, please post the relevant bits of your web.xml file here.
    Thanks,

  • Configuring 404 errors with FastCGI and php files

    Hi,
whenever a user triggers a 404, he gets a "No input file specified." error instead of the 404 error we configured in SJSWS 6.1. It looks like anything ".php" is sent to the parser, and if the file doesn't exist, the parser doesn't warn the webserver, but it returns the error directly to the client.
Are there any ways to make it work as it used to be before FastCGI?

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't work in 6.1 (adding an if statement in obj.conf):

Seems part of the Apple website have broken content (some are images others are videos)
On AirPort Base Station Firmware Update 7.7.3, the main image is missing  and on http://store.apple.com/us/product/HFQQ2ZM/A/adidas-micoach-smart-ball the video is missing, there might be other parts with missing content aka 404 errors
I am seeing in this on OS X 10.9.4 (saw it on 10.9.3, pointing to a website bug)

Both pages look fine here. It is probably just a glitch in Apple's worldwide content delivery system.

You are mixing redhat provided packages with OEL. Generally, it's not a good idea to mix packages of different distributions.
The media you've used to install OEL contains these packages. Use these.

  • Dbping errors with Oracle8.1.5 and Oracle thin driver

I am trying to connect to Oracle 8.1.5.0.0 with Oracle thin driver 8.1.5. However I keep getting error ORA-24327. Any suggestions on how to fix this error?

    Any idea?

Oracle XML Parser has differents distributions for 8.1.5 and 8.1.6 databases, try the correct version, then runs the oraclexmlsqlload.csh from the lib directory of XSU distribution.

  • Login error with correct u/p using Oracle Application Server / BPEL

    Hello,
We are using Oracle 11g and BPEL 10.1.3.4. We had everything working fine until earlier this week. We were receiving an exception when accessing the database from our BPEL process.
Unable to establish connection to "iCareConnectionPool". Error message: Exception occurred testing connection. Exception: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied.
I went into the Application Server control and tested the data source and connection pool and they both failed with the login error. The userid and password being submitted is correct. I checked the data-source.xml file and the id/password looked good. Here are the steps I performed.
    On BPEL server:
    1)     Deleted connection pool iCareConnectionPool, data source, iCareDataSource, and removed /eis/db/iCareDataSource from the DBAdapter.
    2)     Created new connection pool – iCareConnectionPool using jdbc:oracle:oci:@//<host>:1521/ORCL with userid IDS
    3)     The connection pool test was successful. Clicked finish to create connection pool
    4)     From the JDBC resources screen, I tested the connection pool and it failed with invalid logon error.
    5)     Modified connection pool to use IDS2 and it worked.
    6)     Modified connection pool to IDS and it failed.
    7)     Modified connection pool to jimc and it worked.
    On Database:
    1)     Created new schema/user ICAREIDS
    2)     Connected using SQL Developer and I could connect
    On BPEL Server:
    1)     Deleted connection pool
    2)     Created connection pool iCareConnectionPool using jdbc:oracle:oci:@//<host>:1521/ORCL with userid IDS
    3)     The connection pool test was successful. Clicked finish to create connection pool
    4)     From the JDBC resources screen, I tested the connection pool and it failed with invalid logon error.
    5)     Modified connection pool to use IDS2 and it worked.
    6)     Created new connection pool TestPool – same results
    7)     Tried jdbc:oracle:thin:@//<host>:1521/ORCL - same results
On my local system BPEL server:
    1)     Created connection pool iCareConnectionPool using jdbc:oracle:oci:@//<host>:1521/ORCL with userid IDS
    2)     The connection pool test was successful. Clicked finish to create connection pool
    3)     From the JDBC resources screen, I tested the connection pool and it failed with invalid logon error.
    4)     Modified connection pool to use IDS2 and it worked.
    5)     Modified connection pool to use ICAREIDS and it failed.
Since it failed on two different BPEL server's, I am wondering if it is something with the database. I can connect using existing schema's but not IDS or any new schemas. However, I can connect to any schema using any other tool like SQL Developer.
Can anyone provide an insight as to what could be happening here.
    Thanks,
    Jim

I found the problem and wanted to pass on the solution in case any one else runs into this problem.
With Oracle Database 11g the passwords are now case sensitive. Because the BPEL server is using 10g drivers the login fails if you have capital letters in your password.

ANY help or idea on why we get "Page cannot be found" would be most appriciated.
    /thanks in advance, Camilla

    Hi Camilla,
you are trying to access the portal via /irj/portal/anonymous. What happens if you just try to access it via /irj/? Do you still get the page not found?
Since you are using IISProxy be sure to know Note 886214 - End of Maintenance of IisProxy ISAPI module.
The IIS Proxy Module is no longer supported by SAP and has been replaced by other means of SSO (like SPNego).
However, there are still some notes out there which might be useful:
For Windows 2003/IIS 6 Note 715303 - IIS 6 specific configurations for IisProxy module
Note 713568 - Troubleshooting IisProxy module
Note 629946 - IisProxy: Manual installation and update
    Hope this helps,
    Holger.

  • Apex 3.1.1.00.09 - HTTP 404 - wwv_flow.accept was not found

    Hello,
a few days before we updated from 3.1.0 to 3.1.1.00.09. After this update we get over all applications on some sides from time to time this error:
HTTP 404 - /pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server. Before the update all of ou application are running fine, after update we get much trouble. Even the 4000 application (Apex application to create/edit user applications) runs this failure. In Oracle Apache Log we get the message
Unerwartetes Übertragungsende in Kommunikationmeans something like Unexpected end in communication
Some ideas what can cause this failure?
    Regards
    voidy
PS: we're running Apex on Ora 10gR2 (10.2.0.3.0), database and Oracle-Webserver are running on different hosts

I've recently upgraded to the same version and I get the 404 every time I filter a popup LOV. A blank filter works fine but as soon as I hit Search to do_submit('FIND'), the popup goes to a 404.
I've recompiled the whole schema and all objects are valid.
    Stumped.
