Apex 2.2 - Import supporting objects freespace problem

Question

We have a problem installing Ask the expert on our Apex 2.2 install. The problem is the install supporting objects runs a check to see how much free space exists using the query below. On large systems (tablespace in excess of 1Tb) this query never returns (have left running for >24 hours!). Any ideas?

That select statement is in an APEX package, but the free space requirement is an attribute of the application. If the free space requirement is set to 0, the calculation isn't performed.
To get around this in your case, you can:
1) Install the application.
2) Before installing supporting objects, edit the application and go to Application XYZ>Application Attributes>Supporting Objects>Prerequisites
3) Change the Required Free Space to 0 KB and Apply Changes
4) Click Install> and continue the wizard.
