Apex Report to Excel Problem in long text data in one cell

Hi
Using apex 3.1, I have created one sql Report based on UNION.
Report has 10 rows & 2 columns only. first column contain title & second Column display values.
9 rows contain numeric value (converted to char) one last row display Remarks (lot of text).
When stored in excel last line display data in single line.
ex

E2 This is row containing long text. This is row containing long text . This is row containing long text.........
Due to this Report does not fit on one A4 size Paper for printout . Any Solution.

Hi,
There's a solution in Excel... Select the cell, select Format, Cells from the menu and select the Alignment tab - tick the "Wrap text" option.
Obviously, that would require a manual action by the user and would be after the export has taken place.

Crystal Report for Enterprise not displaying Long Text from BEx

Hello,
I am creating a report using SAP Crystal Report for Enterprise 4.0 (Version 14.0.2) and the source of data is BEx query via OLAP connection created using IDT. I am using SAP BusinessObjects BI platform 4.0.
The Characteristic (which is hierarchy) in the Rows section of the BEx Query is set to display long text and as such, it displays long text when the query is executed in the BEx Analyzer. However, when it comes to Crystal Report, the short text is displayed in the report. Can I display long text in the Crystal Report? How?

Thanks for your response. Please note, however, the transaction RAD1 does not exist. Let me provide more details about the current settings of the InfoObject.
The Characteristic is 'Item' (0CS_ITEM) and upon going to RSA1 > Modeling > InfoObjects > Item (0CS_ITEM) > Right Click > Display > Business Explorer (tab) > Text Type is set to 'Long Text' and BEx description is set to 'Long description' already.
When I run/execute the query with this Item characteristic, the results in BEx Analyzer is showing appropriate long text, however, Crystal Report for Enterprise shows short text only

Locking / grey out long text data in transaction IW32

Hi, I read in Locking/grey out long text data (From Coding point of view ) that there is a way to block the long text description via configuration.

I set a breakpoint there and the program never stop there.
I'll try to describe my problem.
I go to IW32 transaction, at the components tab I click on the Long Text button of each component of the order and I can modify it. Well, the client doesn't want that.For a type of order, the user cannot modify that text.
The more strange thing is that I tried to get the text with READ_TEXT function with the same parameters as the standard and it tells me that the text doesn't exists.
I'm starting to hate this module....

does somebody know where i can write via abap fm into message long text? and where those texts are stored?

Problem with long text

Hi folks,
iam uploading longtext in transaction KP06 in bdc programing using create_text.
now my problem is if i pass selection criteria
case 1:
Vertion : N0
fiscal year : 2007
planner profile: CCPLAN4
then the budeget plan data uploading successfully along with long text.
case2: Vertion : N1
in this case also everthing wrking fine
case3: Vertion : 001
in this case budgetplan data uploading sucessfully but longtext is not uploading,
i debbug the proragm , create_text also returning sy-subrc = 0. but if i check in KP06 the long text is not there.
data declaration
vertion : VERSN type C(3)
can u tell me the problem is in logic or with FM ?
note : i checked with save_text also.

Problem in Long text save in CO02

Hi All,
I am posting long text for a production order using 'CREATE_TEXT' and its updating in the tables succesfully.
The same old probelm is it is not appearing in the CO02 or CO03 tcodes.
I did a direct AUFK-LTEXT update as suggested in many of the threads I searched, but of no use.
Pls suggest some solutin in this regard.

I know this is old post but I got few updates like updating Long Text of Production Order using BAPI "BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN".
First check if Order is having long text maintained by checking AUFK-LTEXT. If blank -> no text.
For Existing Order(00XXXXXXXXXX) having no text maintained : -

Problem in long text in SAP script editor

i am maintaining long text in SAP script editor , when i am trying to change the long text in SAP script that changes are not reflected in print preview ,for example when i am giving tabs in the script then in print preview of the PO these tabs are displayed as , , ( comma) , and underlines are not appearing in print preview.please help me on this.

Web ADI Report set, excel is not showing the data for any of the three repo

We are currently working on 11.5.10.2 and moving from Desktop ADI to Web ADI. At the time of publishing report in Web ADI the excel is empty.
AFter successfully running the WEB Adi reportset for Consolidate Balncesheet ( for a period ex: APR-2012), there were 3 reports that were publlished as a set. Then I went to Repository Management and went to the folder and subfolder where I saved all the above 3 reports. When I click on view on one of the reports, the excel spreadsheet opens and try to load something for a while but finally ends up loading nothing.
I am unable to figure out what went wrong. Do you have any idea.
If someone can help me, I really appreciate.

In u r query what I observed was unit cost*gross profit is Amount Sold. Can u make this calculation with Physical calculation rather than and logical calculation.
See if u have kept logical joins for both the tables with the fact and set the content level at detail level in the content level of fact.

ok goto the long text, double click it, or use the small pencil, so that you proceed to the text editor.
Once you are there, use the menu: goto->head
a small popup will come up, stating the information you need.
what you need is OBJECT, ID, Language and NAME.
with those information you can feed the FM READ_TEXT.
and woooohooo there you go

How to insert long text data in oracle for LONG column type??

Anybody who can tell me what is best way to store long text (more than 8k) in Oralce table.
I am using Long datatype for column but it still doenst let me insert longer strings.
Also I am using ODP.Net.

How to download data into one cell of excel in different lines

Hi All,
My Report downloads data from R/3 to excel. Now one particular field contains multiple lines, which i needs to download into different lines into that particular cell(of excel). how can i do this.
I found one method for this and that is cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline.But this is in abap version 6.0.
But i am working in version 4.6c. do we have any method or anything that meets my requirement in 4.6c.

why do you split them to the internal table ,then download it?
Is you special field long text?
If is ,you can use FM READ_TEXT to put it into an internal table ,then download it.

Changing Date in one cell based on text in another cell

Is there a formula to change the date in a cell in one column to the date in another column on the same row based on the text in a third cell on the same row? For example, I want the date in G3 to change to the date in J3 when the text in H3 says Completed.

Is there any way that we can import the Text data & comments from the old application to new application (few Dimensions are different between the 2 applications)
