Apex standard filter

In Interactive report, I have selected filter from Action button. After that, I gave some criteria for filtering column. With that filter, I am getting delete option to delete that filter. Please let me know how to disable the delete option from filter.

But they will know that in order to change the value they have to click on the Column = 'value' link, not change any of the other settings, and enter a value in the Expression text box?
I would suggest that providing training in the use of interactive reports for the users would be far more effective.

  • "Control + F5"  standard filter functionality for ALV Grids

    Hi all,
After an ALV Grid is displayed on screen there is a standard functionality to filter a selected column.
You can select a column (click on the head) of the ALV, then "Control + F5" and a pop-up appears to insert a value or a range by which the filtration is going to be done.
But a I have problem with a concrete field. It doesn`t seem different on comparison with other fields (CHAR30), but I don`t know why it doesn`t work correctly as others.

  • Apex Row Filter Bug

    Hi,
I am having an issue with the Apex Row Filters.
I have a report with say 300 columns. When going to Actions -> Filter, then selecting Row, and browsing the left column, there are columns that do not work in the Filter Expression box b/c the aliases are wrong.
There was a bug that was fixed in Apex 4.1 that after so many rows, all the rest of the columns would have '//.' for their aliases.
It seems for all the combinations of 2 letters down to JZ are fine. After JZ, the combinations stop working. (You would think the next one would be LA, LB, etc)
The combinations after JZ start like: 'L'', 'L(', 'L)', 'L+', etc.
These columns cannot be used in the row filter expression box. When trying to use one, I get the following error message:
Invalid filter expression. ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00920: invalid relational operator
Just wanted to make a note of this bug, and was wondering if this issue is fixed in Apex 4.2, if not, hopefully this will be fixed in a future patch soon.
    Thanks,
    Gage

  • Help Oracle APEX Report Filter.

I have an report with oever 10,000 rows. Currently it is displaying 15 rows per page. I want to filter the report based on a value on one of the columns.
When I click on the column, it shows a drop down list. The value I see on the report is not shown on the drop down list. If I sort the report by that column, the record with that value is shown last as it starts with Z.
I guess there is a limit on how many values are shown in the drop down list. Where can I find the setting for that?
    Sridhar

If this is something for end-users, you can code your own lov in the column attributes for that column and then all the records will be displayed.

  • Delete standard list filter

    Hello
I would like to delete the "ALL"  standard list filter for customers in order to an employee only could see his customers.
In short , I would get the same behavior that If I select "my accounts" or "my accounts team"
How can I do this? Is there another way to do this?
    Thanks.

    Hello Jose,
I do not think deleting standard filter queries is possible.
For Accounts, when you select ALL Accounts filter, any user (If the user has restriction to see his & his team's accounts only), should reflect all accounts which he is the owner of, his team accounts and lastly All account which do not have an owner in it.
If any account in C4C is not assigned an owner, the behavior of the system is that such account would be accessible to everyone immaterial of the access set for the employee.

  • Edit font size standard report

    Hello community,
I try to edit the font size of a standard report but I can't find any menu within APEX to edit this reports.
    I also tried to edit it within the SQL with '< f o n t s i z e=130%">' || ... || '</ f o n t >' but this did not work.
Can anybody help me? Is there a menu which lists all the standard reports and where is the chance to edit this?
Or is there any other chance?
    Thank you so much,
    Lisa :-)

    Hi Lisa,
The font is defined in the style sheet (css file) that is referenced in the Page Template. You can override the style by adding your own style (with the same name as used by the columns in the report - you can check that using Firefox+Firebug or the Developer Tools in Chrome) after the APEX standard CSS. You can also put this CSS in your Report Template or in your Page (if it's only for one specific page).
A good practice is not to include CSS or HTML in your SQL query. Because SQL is logic and HTML/CSS is presentation and these two shouldn't be mixed up.

  • APEX 4.1.1 Memory Leak in IE7

    Hi,
We busy upgrading our apex and db from 3.0/10G to 4.1.1/11.2G and notice that there appears to be a memory leak when using APEX. At one stage we have had IE7 using over a gig of memory.
When you load or refresh your page IE7 seems to grab on average 2-5MB of memory for each page load. At first we thought it may have been our apps or setup but this also happens when we go to app 4550 page 1 on apex.oracle.com.
    How to replicate:
Open task manager to view the Memory Usage.
    Using IE7
    1. Go to http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=4550:1
    2. Go back to Task Manager and note the readings once the CPU Usage for iexplore.exe has stablised to 0.
    3. go back to IE7 and press F5
    4. Repeat steps 2-3 and you will see the Memory usage increases.
We think this maybe due to a few jQuery UI memory leaks within IE7 and thought this bug ticket maybe of interest http://bugs.jqueryui.com/ticket/7666 (Slightly different versions but similiar experiences)
Could someone else confirm that they also experience the increasing or have had similiar problems and managed to resolve it?
TBH, it wouldn't be an issue to use another browser like Firefox to access the builder but this also affects the applications if they include APEX standard Javascript and CSS.
    Thanking you in advance.

Don't have exact steps for replication or precise numbers, but I have noticed this in passing. On the junk that my client considers a PC suitable for web development the typical IE7 memory footprint with the APEX 3.0 builder and several other tabs running is about 52MB. Add APEX 4.1.1 and it climbs constantly until I have to pull the plug when it gets north of 150MB as the PC can't take it.
As well that I also have Firefox and 4.1.1 is still experimental at that site...
At the moment I don't have to resolve it and if I did the only option I'd propose is the replacement of IE7.

I saw that eariler this week. I do agree with the concept though. So take appropriate action: charge extra for IE7 support.
The amount of work and effort involved in making our website look normal on IE7 equalled the combined time of designing for Chrome, Safari and Firefox. Is entirely accurate. If it's stated as a requirement, itemise it as an extra on the quote.
Educate management and bean counters: show them the one line of standards-compliant CSS that's all that is necessary in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Opera (and just possibly in IE8/9/10), how it isn't supported in IE7, and the tortuous hacks and workarounds that are required to get something equivalent working there.

What is the difference between the delivery

    <P>
    <B>Answer:</B><BR>
The problem with the submission behavior could be due to the setting of the
    the resolvehostnames
parameter. If this parameter is turned on
    (resolvehostnames:1),
then <I>all</I> entries in this configuration file must be fully qualified
host names. Although wildcards will work, you cannot specify IP
    addresses with this configuration setting.

    <LI><B>Question:</B><BR>
Is it possible to allow people outside of my network to connect to the server

    <P>
    <B>Answer:</B><BR>
Yes. To allow outside users to connect to the server and send mail
to any address, without granting the same privilege to the rest of the world,
activate the authenticated SMTP portion of the filter via the
    useauthinfo option.
    Setting this parameter to "1" (i.e., useauthinfo:1
) will require a user who is not in a
submission address and who is attempting to send email to an address not in
the delivery range to authenticate with a user ID and password.

    Prashant:
Are you using a UBE filter to configure domain-based anti-relayinging? We had better luck with the anti-relay plug-in. There is some info on this (for 4.15) at
    http://docs.sun.com/source/816-6044-10/ubefiltr.htm#1069973
You have to enable the plug-in using configutil, per the above. The anti-relay plug-in is controlled by antirelay.conf. Be aware that the pattern matching rules are very limited, and not well documented. Fortunately, the source code to the plug-in is included, and you can see what it is doing. To pass the tests we had to add a hard-coded test for a "%" in the source and recompile:
    *** antirelay.c.orig Thu Oct 31 04:42:13 2002
    --- antirelay.c Thu Oct 31 04:22:07 2002
    *** 934,939 ****
    --- 934,940 ----
    * Weight must be non-zero to begin with so that matches on just "*"
    * will work.
    + if( strchr(text,'%') != NULL ) return ABORT;
    weight = TRUE;
    for ( ; *p; text++, p++) {
    if (*text == '\0' && p != '')
Not a really elegant hack, but we didn't need a fully functional regex engine.

  • Filter for BAdi CRM_ORDER_STATUS does not work in WebUI

    Hello,
we have made an implementation for BAdi CRM_ORDER_STATUS for our sales cycle.
    In detail:
The BAdi implementation shall be triggered if the user sets a special user status within an opportunity.
Therefor we have used the standard filter functionality provided by this BAdi (giving the correct header status profile and user status).
Using transaction CRMD_ORDER in SAP GUI, creating an opportunity and setting the special user status -> the BAdi implementation is triggered as expected.
But: If we are using the WebUI the done BAdi implementation is triggered at every roundrip caused by creating/editing an opportunity and not only at setting the user status.
Does anybody of you made similar experiences with using BAdis in WebUI (SAP CRM 7.0)?
    Cheers,
    André
    **EDIT***
It´s possible coding the filter within the BAdi implementation.
But we prefer using the provided SAP standard.
Edited by: Andre Schillack on Apr 23, 2009 8:47 PM

    Hi Andre,
I just checked my system CRM2007 and below is what I found in WebUI mode:
During the build of DDLB for Status field, it calls method cl_crm_uiu_status_info=>get_status_info. What it does is:
    1. It derives all status codes for the user status profile (based on customizing)
    2. And then for each status code, it triggers the BADI based on filter value. In the BADI, customer can decide whether the particular status (filtered value) is allowed to see in the DDLB.
Since it is building the DDLB for Status field every time there is change on the opportunity and therefore DDLB method calls the BADI every time to build the Status code list.
If you want to do further processing based on status change in the method BEFORE_CHANGE, you can try the following code.
    if is_status_wrk-active_old = 'X' and
           is_status_wrk-user_stat_proc = 'CRMACTIV' and
           is_status_wrk-status = 'E0002'.
    Do something
    endif.
I hope I have not confused you.
I feel that this is standard behaviour in WebUI. You may want to check with SAP OSS also.

    Paparao Undavali

  • Can "Standard Report Column" be the Default Instead of "Display as Text"

Almost every report region I write has some html in at least one column, whether it's a break or an apex_item or something else. Hence, when the region renders with the default settings, the column shows the html code - I have to change the column display type from "Display as Text" to "Standard Report Column".
Is there some setting to make "Standard Report Column" the default? (Isn't that kind of what the word Standard implies?)
    Thanks,
    Gregory

Is there some setting to make "Standard Report Column" the default? (Isn't that kind of what the word Standard implies?)In earlier versions of APEX "Standard Report Column" was the default. The default was changed in APEX 4.0 to "Display as Text" (which escapes HTML-sensitive characters) as a security measure to limit vulnerability to XSS attack. This is necessary for the protection of users and (so-called) developers who are not security conscious/HTML savvy.
There's no option to change this, and I doubt that one will be provided in the future. The indications are that the Oracle APEX team are committed to blocking as many security holes as possible by default, leaving it to the developer to consciously make any modifications that increase the surface exposed to attack.

  • Using a Search Window to Filter Data In PowerPivot on Sharepoint?

When viewing a PowerPivot workbook natively all is well. However when I save it to Sharepoint and view it via a browser, I find that the option to filter data by typing in a value is no longer present. (All there is is an extremely LONG list of values
which must be scrolled through and checked.) Being able to type in a value to search on is rather crucial feature when one wants to filter on a row where there may be thousands (or more) distinct values. Using a slicer or the standard filter drop-down in this
case is pretty unworkable! Is there no way around this?

Hi Ed,  we have a workaround that one of my team members found.
Even though there doesn't appear to be a way to have a search window associated with a long filter list, it is possible to filter by column, by clicking on its respective drop-down to bring up a short-cut menu.  From there you can expand either the
"Label Filters" or "Value Filters" sub-menu (depending on your data-type) and bring up, among other options,  the "Contains..." dialog box.  It's not as convenient but it does the job.
Now we just need to check with our users that this is an acceptable solution.  Thanks.

    Hi All Gurus,
We have developed a Z-Report using function Module MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API to get stock report.
My requirement is to get the shortage report with MD04 -> Selection Rules SAP0002 Requirements and Stock ( It exclude Open PO , PR etc.)
I canot see this data ( AVAILABLE QTY COLUMN ) in function Module MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API.
Can any one let me know where can see these datas so that i can map up my requirement..
    Please guide
    Regards
    Su

    Dear Su,
for the next time i advice you BAPI_MATERIAL_STOCK_REQ_LIST instead of MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API because this one is released  by SAP and contains in any case MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API  inside.
About your requirement i thinks that the selection Rules SAP0002 Requirements and Stock ( It exclude Open PO , PR etc.) are tool for standard filter with some limits, i would advise you to implemented a logic in your custom report in order to calculate the avalaible quantity starting from requirement quantity , stock , and receipt quantity.
The FM MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API contains already all the quantity necessary for this calculation and it could be more simple to implement.
You would consider specially DELKZ field for figure out the postive element and the negative element.
    For example:
    MRP Ele Ind   Object
    FE     Production order
    BA     Purchase requisition
    LA     Shipping notification
    PP     Planned independent requirement
    SA     Simulation order
    KB     Individual customer stock
    VC     Order
    and so on.
Let me Know if i have been useful for you
