I think you are in a wrong section - you need either 3.4.2.4., or 3.4.2.5. depending on your OS. A Component Wizard is a Java application which can run in (Java) standalone mode, or in an applet.
I'm afraid your system shows signs of being misconfigured, and it might require an experienced person to fix it again - I don't think it makes sense to fix it issue by issue. Alternatively, you may throw the whole thing away and start from the scratch (see your other post).

  • Processing JMS messages one at a time

    Hi, I'm on a project where we're trying to synch Siebel and EBS Customer information. However there are certain events that can trigger Customer data being sent twice simultaneously; this produces problematic racing conditions when the Customer data is new to the receiving system.
    We're trying to throttle that by sending the messages to a JMS queue and process them one at a time, ie, we only want one instance of the JMS queue listener activated at any one time (we don't expect continuous load; mainly small bursts). Unfortunately I'm not sure which properties have to be changed to do this. I have created a JMS listener that consumes message, pretty much created by the adapter wizard. Currently the listener is spawning new instances just as fast as the messages come in causing EBS AppAdapter errors (can't create new Customer as it already exists).
    Here's the JMS operation definition:
    <pc:inbound_binding />
    <operation name="Consume_Message">
    <jca:operation
    ActivationSpec="oracle.tip.adapter.jms.inbound.JmsConsumeActivationSpec"
    DestinationName="jms/CustomerInterface"
    UseMessageListener="false"
    PayloadType="TextMessage"
    OpaqueSchema="false" >
    </jca:operation>
    <input>
    <jca:header message="hdr:InboundHeader_msg" part="inboundHeader"/>
    </input>
    </operation>
    </binding>
    This is the activation agent:
    <activationAgents>
    <activationAgent className="oracle.tip.adapter.fw.agent.jca.JCAActivationAgent" partnerLink="ReceiveAccountJmsAdapter">
    <property name="portType">Consume_Message_ptt</property>
    </activationAgent>
    </activationAgents>
    This is the connector-factory:
         <connector-factory location="eis/CustomerInterface" connector-name="Jms Adapter">
              <config-property name="connectionFactoryLocation" value="jms/Queue/CustomerInterface"/>
              <config-property name="factoryProperties" value=""/>
              <config-property name="acknowledgeMode" value="AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE"/>
              <config-property name="isTopic" value="false"/>
              <config-property name="isTransacted" value="false"/>
              <config-property name="username" value="oc4jadmin"/>
              <config-property name="password" value="********"/>
              <connection-pooling use="none">
              </connection-pooling>
              <security-config use="none">
              </security-config>
         </connector-factory>
    What else will I have to do to get this to work? Or will I be forced to deploy it to it's own BPEL domain where dspMaxThreads and dspMinThreads are set to 1?
    -- Just tried to put it on its own domain and change the dspMaxThreads/dspMinThreads and that didn't work.

    Is CollectionValidateCheckinData a custom filter you have created? If so, it looks like it is not on your classpath. Check the the classpath in the configuration page of UCM to see if it is there. If it isn't, make sure you add the classpath in the build definition of your component in the Component Wizard.
    There are other things that could cause this but those are the easiest to check first.

  • Instantiation error with custom filter implementation

    have implemented the custom filter in oracle UCM 11. component is created via component wizard and it's succesfully deployed and enabled in content server. filter is being associated with event validateStandard.
    when we check-in a file, check-in is failing due to message below
    Unable to do filter 'mypackage.CustomFilter' for type 'validateStandard'. Unable to instantiate java class code for 'mypackage.CustomFilter' at location 'mypackage.CustomFilter'
    we've placed the java class file under custom component folder. with-in custom component folder we've created mypackage and then placed class file (since mypackage is java package).
    Below mentioned is the stacktrace,
    !csUserEventMessage,weblogic,localhost:16200!$!apFilterInstantiationError,mypackage.CustomFilter,validateStandard!apUnableToInstantiateClass2,mypackage.CustomFilter,mypackage.CustomFilter

    It looks like the filter is not properly locating the compiled Java class.
    In Component Wizard, did you go into the Advanced Build Settings and ensure there is an Install ID and the classes properly points to your compiled Java class?
    Here is a sample component which implements a filter: http://jonathanhult.com/blog/2012/07/minify-css-and-javascript-automatically-in-webcenter-content/
    You can try loading that into Component Wizard and determining what your component is missing. You could also compare the manifest.hda files between components.
