API for component info

Hi,
we're looking for a way to get the version string or the service pack level of the NetWeaver and/or the enterprise portal.
There is this "component info web page" when you retrieve http://<nw-host>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo.
We're searching for a Java API to this kind of information.
Btw, what we do know is that one can get a "version string" through http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/2.3/javadoc/javax/servlet/ServletContext.html#getServerInfo(), but we want to get detailed and drilled down information like in the component info page.
Cheers,
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
http://<host>:<port>/monitoring/ComponentInfoServlet
or
http://<host>:<port>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfoServlet
retrieves the component info in XLM format. (I do not know as of which release you can use this servlet.)
Kind regards
Frank

  • Web Dynpro Java : Failed to get deployable object part info for component

    Currently we have a web dynpro java project which connects to the ABAP backend with Web Services. Everything seems fine, and when we transport to the production server via NWDI, we have the following error. Everytime we try to access the application , the error is occurred.
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Failed to get deployable object part info for component com.sie.attachmentcomp.AttachmentComp
        at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.cal.ClientComponent.getComponentDeploymentDescription(ClientComponent.java:784)

        at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.components.ComponentUsage.createComponent(ComponentUsage.java:116)
    It is working properly in our development , and testing environment. Only production has this error. And one weird thing is that this particular error occurred only sometimes to some user. For example; I could not access to the application with this error yesterday but my friend can access. Today, I can access in the morning but my friend cannot. For another friend , Yesterday he can access by using IE but not by Firefox. But today Firefox is fine but not with IE. It seems crazy.
    For more information, in our J2EE engine for the production server, we have 3 server nodes (clusters). And we are not sure it is the source of the problem. Is there any solution , and any way to know from the application that we are on which server?
    We also go and check from the Content Administrator in Web Dynpro Console. Under our project name, in the list of Components, sometimes we can see AttachmentComp but sometimes not.
    Please help us as our project is about to go-live next week.
    Thanks,
    Yu

  • Javascript API for searching component

    Hello,
    I want to search component hierarchy in Java Screen start from AdfRichForm. Is there any java script API available that will give me children of a AdfComponent? We can use AdfPage.PAGE.findComponent(Id) or similar API. But that require Ids to be know. I want to look for component by looking at component hierarchy.
    In Java, we can use ViewRoot object to look for component structure. How to do this in java script?

    I am mainly trying to do this for Popup in my application. I have different links in my application, on click of them I am opening ADF popup with inlineFrame. I am opening the URL associated with the link in these inlineFrame. Till now I was using hard-coded height and width. But now I am planning to populate them using Java script. I did manage to implement my logic. By now popup is not showing at the center of the page. I am calculating the size in Java script based on screen sizes before calling show method.
    I think no one has able to make the af:popup in the center of the page.
    I tried "hint" property but it aligns the popup with the component. I want to show it in center of the page.
    I think I have deviated from my initial problem.

    Hi,
    I have a JSP running on the same web server as the portal server but not
    running within the portal desktop (it is a stand-alone JSP).
    I have successfully gotten the user's Profile object via the Sessionobject
    and I can get the Hashmap of attributes.
    What I'm trying to get now is the user's domain and role -- is there anyway
    I can get this? I don't see these in the list of attributes. Is there an
    API to find this out? Any suggestions on how I can obtain this info
    programmatically?

  • Failed to create delegate for component (Model Error)

    Dear All,
    I am getting exception while running one webdynpro application. Details of error is attached below.
    I am getting this error just after binding the Component controller node to Model Node, without writing any code for model execution. My model is created from one webservice, and that web service is perfectly fine.
    My server and IDE both running on same service pack SP12.
    I have tried with re-creating model and rebuild the project but still getting the same error.
    Kindly suggest.
    Thanks & Regards

    hi,
    the problem is that you are missing a jar file called: webdynpromodel_webservice_default.jar
    which should be present inside:
    C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\.dtc\3\DCs\sap.com\tc\wd\wslib\_comp\gen\default\public\default\lib\java
    For this you need to add tc/wd/wslib(default) DC as used DC. Go to DC Metadata -> DC Definition and expand used DCs. check whether it is present or not. If not then add it.
    Just check this. Hope this will solve your problem
    thanks & regards,

  • ABAP API For SP06?

    Hi
    We are trying to integrate MDM (5.5 SP06 Patch 3) with an ECC 6.0 server. We downloaded the MDM TECHNOLOGY 5.5.5.7.00 CAR file from service market  place. It was installed successfully in the ECC 6.0 server. But we are unable to find the relevant ABAP component for our MDM version in the "ABAP implementation for MDM version support" of the mdmapic transaction. The components in that table are the ones for SP04 and SP05 but not SP06.
    Has anyone successfully used ABAP APIs in their SP06 environment? If yes, then what was the CAR file that was used?
    Thanks.
    Regards
    Swarna

    Hi Kanstantsin
    In the begininng we had downloaded from the same path you have mentioned.
    After raising OSS note SAP responded by saying that - the installations should be downloaded from the path:
    Download ->
    Support Packages and Patches ->
    Support Packages and Patches - Entry by Application Group ->
    SAP NetWeaver ->
    SAP MDM ->
    SAP MDM 5.5 ->
    Entry by Component ->
    ABAP API for NW 7.0
    After doing that we are able to see the SP06 components.
    But now when i try the sample code in the ABAP API How to guide,  for creating a repository through API, i'm getting an error -
    "Server return code 0X84020003: DCNI_MSG_ErrInitDB"
    I verified the ip (same for server host and dbms host), port (20005), dbms username/password. They all seem to be fine.
    Has anyone faced this issue before?
    Thanks
    Swarna

  • Available APIs for process and package management

    Hello All and welcome to my Hello All:
    Welcome to my inaugural post. I am a complete noob to Solaris (although I have been using Linux for 5+ years) and am in the process of trying to get a handle on what local C/C++ APIs (if any) are available for management. Specifically, I am looking to find out about process and package management.
    For process management, basically I would like to know is there some kind of interface to the the prstat application (ie. Memory and CPU utilization). Does something like this exist?
    For package management, I am looking for the ability to add, remove, and query the package database. Correct me if I am wrong, but the Solaris package database seems similar to that of a Debian system (at least from the perspective that the informational files are stored as plain text in a well-defined directory [ie /var/sadm/pkg/]).
    I have installed Solaris 10 on an x86 machine with a full installation; however, of the installed development kits (listed below) nothing jumped out at me.
    -bash-3.00# ls -1d /var/sadm/pkg/*devel

    I've placed orders for Solaris Internals and Solaris Performance & Tuning (that should arrive tomorrow), but I was hoping that someone could give me a gentle push (or perhaps a swift kick) in a general direction. :)
    Thanks.

    For process management, basically I would like to
    know is there some kind of interface to the the
    prstat application (ie. Memory and CPU utilization).
    Does something like this exist?Not prstat (although you could 'truss' it and see some of what it's doing to collect the information). kstat is available with a C interface and through perl/shell. It has several CPU fields. It's certainly useful for monitoring, but read-only. I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of "management".
    Also 'dtrace' can provide tons of dynamic information, but that's not necessarily what you're looking for.
    For package management, I am looking for the ability
    to add, remove, and query the package database.
    Correct me if I am wrong, but the Solaris package
    database seems similar to that of a Debian system
    (at least from the perspective that the
    informational files are stored as plain text in a
    well-defined directory [ie /var/sadm/pkg/]).Yes, although it's based on the SysV packaging system. I don't believe there's any API for it outside of the 'pkg*' utilities.

  • API for modifyting config.xml (or reading it)

    In 5.1 there used to be T3ServicesDef.config() to get the weblogic.properties
    file.
    Since this file has been changed to XML format, is there any API
    to read it or modify it.
    In the Admin Guide it says:
    "WebLogic Server includes a configuration Application Programmatic
    Interface (API) which can be used by programs to modify configuration
    attributes of resources in the domain. "
    but I don't find any documentation on API and T3Services.config()
    has disappeared in 6.0.
    Can someone help me.

    There are Config MBeans to get information about the server configuration. Have
    a look at the Javadocs for the weblogic.management.configuration package for more

  • Java API for Webchannel 7.0

    Hello,
    for the ISA 4.0 we had the API of the java classes. Is there something like this for CRM 7.0.
    Best regards,
    Nils

    Hi Nils,
    Follow below steps.
    Yes you can get it from service market place.
    Follow below steps.
    1) Log in to service market place.
    2) Click on "Download" Tab
    3) On Left side click on SAP Software Distribution Center -->Download > Support Packages and Patches> Entry By Application Group.
    4) On Right side. Support Packages and Patches>SAP Application Components> SAP CRM> SAP CRM 2007> Entry by Component--> CRM Application Server Java
    5) Click on "SAP SHARED JAVA COMPONENTS"
    6) From Below screen click on "Download" tab and Download "SAPSHRJAVxx_x-xxxxxxxx.SCA" file.
    7) Open "SAPSHRJAVxx_x-xxxxxxxx.SCA" file by "WINRAR" and unzip on your local laptop.
    8) After unzip you will get several zip files under folder "BUILDARCHIVES"
    9) Find "crmshrjavadoc" file inside folder "BUILDARCHIVES"
    10) Unzip "crmshrjavadoc" file and you will get "javadoc.ppa" file
    11) Rename "Javadoc.ppa" file to "Javadoc.zip"
    12) Unzip "Javadoc.zip" file which we just rename in step 11.
    13) you will get folder "Docs". This folder contain actual "javadoc.zip" file
    14) Unzip above file and you will get Java API Documents for ISA 5.0 or ISA 6.0 or ISA 7.0 depends on "SAPSHRJAVxx_x-xxxxxxxx.SCA" version and SP level.
    I just got ISA Java Doc by following above steps. It looks 14 step but once you download SCA file it will take only 2-3 minutes.
    I am sure you will get Standard Java API for ISA just like ISA 4.0
    Please let me know if you face any problem.
    Also Visit this ECmmerce 6.0 Java API needed
    Let me know if you face any error or problem.

  • JAXB as standard API for Java Mappings in XI?

    Hi there,
    Has anyone on this forum implemented Java mappings in XI using JAXB (reference implementation for XML/JAVA data bindings of SUN)?
    If Yes, can you please share any experiences?
    We're considering to use this API for Java Mappings in XI but first would like to get more background info.
    Cheers,
    Rob.

    Hi Roberto,
    Have tried implementing Java mapping using JAXB technique couple of years ago. However I was not able to test the mapping in XI/PI environment.
    <ul>
    <li>There is no in built support for JAXB from SAP XI.</li>
    <li>There is no documentation available from SAP on JAXB hence it is difficult to implement the mapping.</li>
    <li>We have to import JAXB specific jars along with the mapping code. my attempt to execute the mapping test in IR tool was unsuccessful It was running fine in standalone mode in local PC </li>
    </ul>

  • Post XI component info to New SLD

    Hi XI guru,
    We just installed another XI Dev instance with new SLD, so we want to redirect  perivous installed XI Sandbox to this new SLD. I have use RZ70 and VA to post ABAP stack and Java stack info of XI Sandbox to this new SLD.
    But I don't know how to post XI related component info to new SLD, for example:
    Adapter engine,Domain, Integration Repository,Integration Directory,Integration Server
    as I cann't see XI sandbox component info in Technical system of new SLD( Technical system type).
    Thank you very much

    THank you for your quick response,
    and I have created Business system and techincal system to point to Sandbox.
    but when I go to XI Sandbox ID, when I open "Envorioment->Cache Notification",it pops up a message as following:
    "Unable to determine the name of the central Adapter Engine from the System Landscape Directory at this time. Notifications to the central Adapter Engine are therefore listed using the technical name of the Adapter Engine. This is usually structured as follows: af.<SAP System ID>.<Name of application server>"
    The looks like we don't have Adapter Engine for Sandbox in new SLD,so that's why I want to know how to post XI related component to new SLD.Thank you

  • Where is the API for PKI authentication library in ColdFusion 9?

    Hello,
    I have to get PKI/certificates working with our ColdFusion application.  We're using CF9, and evidently there were calls added
    to this to help you get the cert, the distinguished name, etc.  So, what I am looking for specifically is where can I read
    the API for this?   I need to know the functions, tags, etc that I will be calling in order to get the info I need from the cert.
    Thanks!

    I was able to find something to try from the forum, although not explained well.  I had to use cfdump to see
    the different methods to use:
    <!---We need to get all of the required fields from the 509 cert and store those in session--->
    <cfset x509 = GetPageContext().getRequest().getAttribute("javax.servlet.request.X509Certificate")>
    <!---Debug prints--->
    <cfdump var=#x509[1].getSubjectDN().getCommonName()#>
    <cfdump var=#x509[1].getIssuerDN().getCommonName()#>
    <cfdump var=#x509[1].getIssuerDN().getOrganization()#>
    <cfdump var=#x509[1].getIssuerDN().getOrganizationalUnit()#>
    I saw some other solutions with cfscript, but that's overkill.  I also find it incredibly STUPID that
    the CGI variables for CERT_SUBJECT, etc, are only available if you use IIS.  Umm, who even
    USES IIS anyway?  People use Apache/Jrun more than anything.  I wasted a lot of time going through
    the CGI and asking questions on other forums about it.
    However, the above method is easy, and works.

  • API for video profile selection in Adobe Flash Player

    Thanks to ActionScript 3, we are able to do programming with regard to Flash Player behavior,  extract info, etc.
    Since now Adobe Flash Player supports adaptive bit rate video, I wonder if there is an API for Adobe Flash Player so that we can set a fixed bit rate for a video stream on runtime?
    Thank you for your help!

    Try to install it manually.
    To begin with download these two files:
    * [http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe uninstall_flash_player.exe]
    * [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe install_flash_player.exe]
    These are direct download links so you won't see a page, merely the files which you see in the screenshot.
