App died installing. Now in limbo. How to fix?
I have and own the app Pic Grunger (paid version). There was an update today that I downloaded from the App Store on my iPhone. It downloaded, but then hung once the blue bar was complete. I left it for a while, but it was just stuck there. You couldn't launch it. So I restarted my iPhone (powered it down, turned it back on) and now the app is gone, but the App Store won't let me redownload and only shows me the grayed out 'downloaded' button.
So then I synced, then removed Pic Grunger from the sync list, then synced again. No app on the device, but the app store still won't let me redownload.
So then I re-check app in iTunes and sync once again.
Now the app icon appears with a blank 'waiting...' progress bar. And, as usual, the app store STILL won't let me redownload.
Anyone know how to force the app store to let me re-download?
It appears that the solution is to purchase the app from the desktop. I clicked BUY, was told I had already paid for it so get it for free, then downloaded it. It then synced and the broken icon is now gone and I can use the app!
It appears that there's a serious bug on the iPhone itself that prevents the App Store App from knowing when a download has failed to reset the 'buy' button.

Press your home button, then scroll the home screen all the way over to the right. I found all my purchased apps were moved to a different home screen. Might be a similar issue.. let us know what you found out!!

When trying to install Epson R200 driver/utility combo, the installer gets stuck in an endless loop asking for admin password without installing. Any idea how to fix this problem?

Since updating my iphone 5s software to ios 8, iTunes shuts down everytime in the app sync process. I have the most current version of Itunes on my laptop. Any ideas of how to fix?
I feel its more of my sync drivers for itunes/iphone not working if that makes sense. Its not my itunes that stops responding, its more of that if the phone syncs up it fails to anything further.
I've tried sync another iphone to the same itunes and windows autoplayer will allow the photos sorted on the iphone to be saved to the laptop but itunes won't even recongise the device is plugged in.

An app reflects installed but no icon, how do I find it.
I installed iBooks but there is not an icon. The app appears in my settings and in the app store as installed. What do I do now to find or be able to reinstall.
Other people have had the same problem with the iBooks app not appearing, and after doing a reset it has usually appeared : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Didn't move apps at install - now they don't work
On installation I chose not to move the applications. Couldn't then open them - InDesign is missing Cmaps/system fonts and others need serial numbers (can't find).
Tried a re-install to choose the option of moving the apps but I didn't get given the choice.
Is the problem caused by not moving the apps at installation?

The best and 100% troublefree place to keep applications is the Applications folder (or the Utilities folder).
In the case of such applications that are limited by users licenses, well in addition, better have them installed by the User who will use them on a daily basis.
All you have to do now,
with you new system:
- Login as main user/admin and install your applications in the Applications folder.
Perform a genuine installation of these apps: do not just copy them from the external HD. That way, permissions and everything will take the best possible start from the correct boot drive, associated with your system libraries etc.
- Store files on externals
- Use apps from the boot drive's Applications folder

I have a new IPhone 6 just went to the store last Saturday to connect it, (I am replacing my IPhone 5s) it says that I am updated on IOS 8.0.2 but now started to show a message that reads like this: " No SIM card installed" and I have no phone line or anything, my carrier is Sprint and I just got back from there and they told me that this is something I have to deal with APPLE because they have nothing to do with software. Anybody experiencing the same thing? any light in the tunnel? HELP....

To troubleshoot this issue where your iPhone gives you the message "No SIM Card installed" please follow the steps below.
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Turn airplane mode on and then off again.
Restart your iPhone.
Check for a carrier settings update. Go to Settings > General > About. Install any available update.
Remove the SIM card and make sure that it's a valid SIM that your carrier provided. Also make sure that it's not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
A SIM tray that comes with one iPhone model won't necessarily work with a different iPhone model. When you insert the correct SIM tray, the SIM tray should be flush with the device.
If you have another SIM card, insert it. You can use a SIM card from any phone with the same format as your iPhone SIM card. If your iPhone works with that SIM card, contact the carrier that issued your original SIM card.
Restore the iPhone.
If you still see the issue, contact Apple support.

After installing IOS 8.0.2 the phone has been locking up when using apps such as Facebook. The screen becomes unresponsive for several minutes after loading an app. Also, if you double click the home button to shut down the app the screen is unresponsive or the screen becomes black. I did not have this problem until installing the IOS 8.0.2. I have talked to a couple other people that have the 4S and they are experiencing the same problems. The iphone 5 users are not experiencing this problem. I suspect the processor is too slow to handle the new IOS and the 4S should have not be allowed to update to this IOS if the system was not going to work properly. Is there a way to fix IOS 8 or return to IOS 7?
Sorry, but there is no way to downgrade the iOS. To make sure your backup did not contain damaged files after upgrading and restoring, set it up as new device without using the backup and no 3rd party apps installed. If the phone is working after that, add the 3rd party apps back.

I think my photoshop file has been corrupted after 2 months of tedious work. I opened the file and have bright green pixels and have lost detail and color in several areas. I figure I should have backed up the file more often than I have, but before I chuck 60 + days of work, I thought I'd ask. The preview file shows how it should look, the actual file shows how it is now. You can readily tell the browns, blues, and fuschia colors are gone.

PS: This began as a zentangle that I drew in my sketchbook; it was scanned and I was coloring the scan. It spells Elizabeth and the images are things that were relative in her life. She died of brain cancer too young, 34.This could be a color profile issue or a hardware acceleration problem. I'd check the prefs and turn off OpenGL, The proof settings in the View menu and the actual color profile assigned to the doc. Perhaps you have accidentally used a custom monitor or printer profile that is no longer valid.

Guys just contact apple support team . They will guide you well and your problem will most probably be resolved. I contacted them and following their instructions my mac is working totally fine again. If at all the problem persist the re-install mavericks by following steps
1). Switch of mac
2). Hold option/alt key and then switch it on.
3). Then choose your language and continue.
4). Now Re-Install OS X .
5). It will start downloading and installing.
6). Leave it idle for the required amount of time.
7). It will restart automatically and your problem will be definitely resolved.
Note:
a. If there is any problem of connection follow the same steps and the downloading will start where it stopped. -

On a Mac 10.6. downloaded the latest version of flash player when suddenly videos (on any site) ceased to function. Using Safari there's an error message "Failed to Install. Contact Support."
