App Error 205 again

Hi,
On updating the device software, my pc crashed (not related) but on trying to resume the update my BB gave an 'App Error 205' which does not reset. I've tried to restart the update process but now the Device Application Loader says my device cannot be detected! I've read earlier 205 error threads but nothing seems to work. All help greatly appreciated!

    First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.

    1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
    2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • S.O.S.!!!! Please help with App Error 205

    So yesterday, I was so excited about the release of the Mac Desktop manager. I installed it on my Mac, started running the updates for my 8330 and the usb connector fell out while updating. I re-inserted it but it did not continue the update. Now, my phone wont completely reboot, it just ends on a message: App Error 205 and a reset option. I hit the option and it just cycles back around to the error message after trying to re-boot. I have tried the battery pull trick. I have seen the threads concerning the PC app loader solution but nothing for MAC users. 
    PLEASE HELP!! I am out on the road right now and my Crackberry is my lifeline to my business and personal world.

  • App Error 205 'Screen of Death'

    Hey, I just tried to register my new BB and got this error. Ive tried the usual, take out battery but still getting error. Someone said to re-install the software (5.0) but the Desktop Manager isnt responding either. Any suggestions guys (that doesnt involve a wall or petrol)?

    Alright, I have been reading several posts on this problem. Followed one of the guy with the pig profile pic. I have been up all night doing this. PROBLEM: downloading update for phone, and my luck, the battery died. Please someone help me I'm already up against mid-terms and now a useless phone....for now.

    In addition, if you think your battery is dead...
    Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the charging cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage). If it doesn't reboot on the first attempt, leave it several more hours. I've had one charge for two days before it came back to life after an extreme battery depletion. Every 3-4 hours, with the device still connected to the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it reboots.

    AGAIN door 205 on my corporate Mac when installing CC Cloud upgrade. I use separate Admin account but still issues.

  • Recovered from an app error 205 (!), but no longer have appworld on my phone so can't install facebook etc

    I have followed the link previously suggested (ID: KB10144) and have amazingly brought my phone back to life.  However although the desktop software says Blackberry appworld is installed, it is not on my phone.  Any help would be gratefully received.

    The 'open' button only show after you've installed it on your phone, the cloud symbol imdicates that the app is only in the cloud - if you tap on the cloud icon it should download onto your phone.

  • Orignaly App error 606...help

    Device info.
    Im with 3, however i did not receive the handset from them. Its a Blackberry torch 9810.
    I Assume it was/is running the newest OS, but at this time i cant turn the device on to check.
    My desktop software version is 7.1.0.37.
    Issue.
    My phone a couple of days ago was unexpectedly turned of. When i tried to turn the device back on, it took a long time getting half way through the OS booting loading screen, crashing and starting again. Eventually it got past the loading screen and showed me the app error 606 screen.  
    Now all the phone does when trying to boot up is get stuck in a loop of the blackberry loading screen, crashes after about 20 seconds, then starts again when the red light comes on. When attempting to connect to the computer using blackberry to usb wire, to reload the OS, it stays contended for about 20 seconds, the same time the phone keeps crashing. It just keep losing power, even though Ive been charing it for a while.
    Ive tried following Knowledge base

    I know i have to reload the OS, however first i need to make sure the blackberry stays connected. 
    In Knowledge base KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader i get stuck on the step where blackberry software can not communicate with the connected device, either click Retry, Update or Cancel, when i click update, then repair, it just says there are no updates available, and a form below where you can enter your email address. Does not repair the phone at all. Is it supposed to open the application loader? I think this is all to do with the fact the phone keeps switching on then off, when either charging or trying to connect to the computer.
    Might just be me being an **bleep**. But am i missing something? Ive read a million threads to do with the app error 606, Ive tried for about 2 days now to get a proper connection to the computer, or even just to see the app error screen again. Just always gets stuck on the black berry loading screen. 
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Have you tried wiping the device completely?  You can skip to step number 5 if you want and see if BBSAK will connect and wipe the device.  Then you'll need to come back to step number 3 (you can skip the backup since you can't make a backup at this point.)  Another trick is to remove the battery and attempt to connect to the device.

    On Windows XP navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (Where "YOUR_USER" is your username)
    5. If you're simply updating the OS to a newer version skip this step. If doing a clean OS reload use BBSAK from BBSAK.org and wipe the device (after doing a complete backup) then after you get the error 507 (no OS installed) then proceed to next step.
    6. Plug in BlackBerry and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

    This is not the first time I get it, and it seems a recurring problem.

    There have been several posts tonight with this issue. I would suggest waiting until tomorrow and then try again. There may be an issue with the server you are connecting to.

    I have been trying to back up my pictures on Verizon Cloud app but everytime I try to log in I get "error code 10000, close app and try again...I have been avoiding the new update because of all the problems I keep hearing and my phone is already freaking out...

        I appreciate you taking the time to reach out, Stevie5504. Do you show the pictures as being backed up? I would suggest resetting the app by heading into Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > ALL > Verizon Cloud > Clear Cache and Data.
