I was able to resolve it myself.  I started the SOA managed server via the command scripts and it came up with no errors.  Issue is more than likely with the server arguments I added in the Admin console.  I will try this and it it does not work I will add further updates to ths thread.

  • Oracle SOA Cluster soa-infra failing, startup coherence issues

    Hi,
    Have a 2 Node cluster od soa 11.1.1.5. Have 3 instances of 2 Node cluster running on the same machine. It's basically one for DEV,*TST*,*UAT* on the same machine. We have cronjobs that run every night shuts down all the cluster instances and then bring them back up. Recently one of our UAT soa cluster having issues. Both the Nodes come up fine but soa-infra in one node is not getting deployed and is down. I tried to manually start that node but no luck these are the errors I am getting in the Node where soa-infra is down. It's been working fine since recently. Any idea what might be wrong and where to look at. Any help is appreciated.
    Inside the console all the servers are up and running but when going to Enterprise Manager it shows soa-infra down and only see one node.

  • Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off

    I am on Oracle 11.1.1.7 BPM suite on W8 64 bit. I can't launch the flow trace and get the error "Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off".  I have set the audit level to development at the soa-infra>SOA Administration> Common Properties > Audit level set to development and Capture Composite Instance State is Checked.
    Can somebody advice.
    Thanks

    Can you please confirm me the following steps...
    Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
    Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.
    Thanks,
    N

    Hi,
    In JDev go to the Resource Pallete under IDE Connections and get the properties for your connection.
    On the tab Configuration see if you have your SSL Port configured, also check Always use SSL.
    Go to the tab Test and test it again to see if everything is alright.

  • Unable to found default domain under soa-infra

    Hi,
    I am new to SOA,i am trying to deploy an application from jdeveloper but i am not able to find default domain under soa-infra. anybody please help me to create default domain.
    Thanks,
    kesav.

    Hi Kesav
    0. Which version of SOA are you using.
    1. Say in Windows, I guess you have now 2 dos windows. One where you ran startWeblogic.cmd and make sure you do NOT see any errors or exception stack traces in this window. The last lines should say like Server in Running Mode etc. Now in the other dos window, I guess you from \bin folder, startManagedWeblogic soa_server1. I hope you gave correct admin username and password when it prompted. Now make sure this dos window do NOT have any errors or stack traces. The last lines should say something like soa_server1 running and accepting the requests. Now if you see any errors in any of these windows, please give those details here.
    2. Now open a browser, and login into admin console like http://youradminhost:youradminport/console. After login, check the servers (soa_server1) is in Running Mode and is Active.
    3. Now open another browser and try http://youradminhost:youradminport/em. Login with Admin username/password. After login on left side you should see a node named like SOA -> soa_infra1 (...). If you do NOT see this, it means your soa_server1 is NOT started or some core modules like soa_infra module has NOT deployed properly.
    If all the above looks ok, then try to create a new connection again in JDeveloper and Test the connection and then expand it for details in the Application Servers Navigation window. If the servers are on the same machine and if the JDeveloper is also on the same machine, when you give weblogic host, give the dns name of that machine instead of localhost.
    Incase of Linxu also, you will have 2 shells opened to run the above 2 commands. But the steps are same. Later on you can start them in nohup mode with & in the end, so that you can close the shell windows and still the servers will be running.
    Thanks
    Ravi Jegga

    Edited by: Aejaz on Feb 14, 2010 10:13 AM

    I had already configured the EM manager and other things while creating domain. I selected the option as follows;
    1. create a new weblogic domain.
    2. generate a domain configured automatically to support the following products.
    (selected the below items)
    oracle soa suite 11.1.1.0
    oracle enterprise manager 11.1.1.0
    oracle BAM 11.1.1.0
    oracle wsm....
    oracle JRF...
    All the above steps were shown as successfull till the last.
    But facing the problem while starting the severs (only weblogic server started successfully).
    Iam using versions :
    Weblogic Server 10.3.2.0
    SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.0 (but the wizard is showing version as 11.1.1.0)
    Is this problem is due to version difference?
    Thanx

  • SOA managed server and SOA infra not starting

    Hi
    I have my database and listener up and running. I can also successfully start SOA Administration server.
    But I am unable to start SOA managed server. I can see SOA managed server getting started with WARNING and SOA infra always fails to start.
    I tried using both from command line as well as from NodeManager but without any luck. As a result I am unable to proceed with Deployment as soa_server1 does not appear in Step 4 in Jdeveloper deployment GUI dialog. I would also like to ask from the Gurus:
    How can I start soa-infra alone as I cannot see any command from the command line to individually start soa-infra ?
    Here is my part of output from soa_server1. The exception errors keep logging in loop and the file is growing. I had to terminate the process:

    Hi
    Thanks for your reply
    Here is my installation details on Linux 32 bit OS:
    Weblogic server- wls1032_linux32.bin
    Repository Creation Utility- ofm_rcu_linux_11.1.1.2.1_disk1_1of1.zip
    SOA Suite- ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.2.0_disk1_1of1.zip
    JDeveloper Studio, base install- jdevstudio11112install.jar
    SOA Extension for JDeveloper- ofm_osb_generic_11.1.1.3.0_disk1_1of1.zip
    The installation went very smooth and there was no errors in the same.
    I can successfully start the Weblogic Administration server from the command line but unable to start successfully SOA Managed (soa_server1), Infra and BAM server (bam_server1). I tried starting SOA Managed (soa_server1) from command line as well as from Weblogic console EM (after starting Node Manager) but always receiving the errors I uploaded in my post earlier. As a result I am unable to deploy any composite application
    Please advice
    Thanks
    Rohit

  • Unable to fetch columns; Invalid state/No Suitable Driver

    Hi!
    I'm trying to populate a combo box with data from a MySQL database (or any other database for that matter), I create a JDBC connection source, and set the following:
    URL = jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test
    Driver = org.mysql.jdbc.Driver (i have also tried org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver)
    Username = anonymous
    Password = <blank>
    Next I create a NBJdbcRowSet and set:
    Command = SELECT * FROM foo
    Connection Provider = connectionSource1 (the above connection source)
    Now if I click the elipses next to Default Column Values, I get the message 'Unable to fetch columns; Invalid State'
    If I replace the NBJDBCRowSet with a NBCachedRowSet, the error becomes 'Unable to fetch columns; No Suitable Driver'.
    The database is browseable in the runtime tab, and the table exists (I can run SQL queries and get the expected results). The anonymous account exists and has access to the tables in question (the same setup is used in a few different applications, all of which work fine). Using the root account gives the same results. Using the PointBase example database gives the same results:
    Driver: com.pointbase.jdbc.jdbcUniversalDriver
    URL: jdbc:pointbase:server://localhost:9092/sample
    Details of setup:
    OS: Windows XP Pro SP2
    IDE: Sun Java Studio Enterprise 7 2004Q4
    Java version in use: 1.4.2_05 (as packaged with the studio)
    MySQL: v5.0.7-beta-nt
    Connector: MySQL Connector/J 3.0.17-ga
    PointBase: As came with Studio Enterprise
    I should mention that I can get DB connectivity in my app, I can create a comboBox and set the model to 'nBCachedRowSet1: name' and the contents of that field appears in my comboBox, however I need to create about a dozen tables and I don't relish the thought of manually creating models for each one ;)
    Any suggestions are appreciated!
    Cheers!
    Darren

    Hi Thanks for your reply.
    I've retried with PointBase and the Sample DB:
    * New project. New JFrame.
    * Create ConnectionSource, NBJdbcRowSet, ComboBox
    * Config ConnectionSource:
    - Driver: com.pointbase.jdbc.jdbcUniversalDriver
    - URL: jdbc:pointbase:server://localhost:9092/sample
    - Username/pass: as per PointBase setup
    * Config NBJdbcRowSet
    - ConnectionProvider: connectionSource1
    - Command: SELECT * FROM CUSTOMERINFO
    - Default Column Values: <open GUI>, <Fetch Columns>, "Unable to fetch columns; Invalid State"
    So this is where I get the problem, I'm not sure if i've buggered it up though, so I continue to see if I can get data:
    - Add Column: NAME
    - OK, Close
    * Config ComboBox
    - Open Model dialog
    - Select Mode: ComboBoxEditor
    - RowSet: nBJdbcRowSet1 (this throws the error again)
    - Column: NAME (entered manually, dropdown is empty)
    - OK, Close
    * Run app
    Errors!
    Seems like the GUI builder did something wrong - it generated a bunch of functions for each thing i added, like this:
    public void setJComboBox1(JComboBox val) {
    this.jComboBox1 = val;
    and the project won't compile. I figure out it should be like this:
    public void setJComboBox1(javax.swing.JComboBox val) {
    this.jComboBox1 = val;
    but the functions aren't doing anything anyway, so I delete them all. I'm starting to think my installation is borked.
    Project now compiles and runs, but there's no data, and I get:
    ClassNotFoundException: com.pointbase.jdbc.jdbcUniversalDriver
    At this point i should probably find the jar with that driver in it and mount this/add it to the classpath, but the boss has decided we'll use Borland Delphi 2005 .NET anyways, so I won't take this any further...
    Thanks for your help guys!

  • Unable to create an encrypted disk image with Disk Utility

    Hi:
    With our upgrade to Lion a few weeks ago, we're now unable to create an encrypted disk image of any type using Disk Utility any more. This problem occurs on 3 different machines, and is reproducible whether one is using an internal HD or an external FW HD. We can successfully create nonencrypted disk images.
    This is a duplicate post with all the details here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18469359#18469359
    We haven't had any luck with a solution trying various permissions fixes as helpfully suggested by other readers in response to the error message # (-60008 error), so I'm hoping that someone else has run across a solution from the encrypted disk image perspective and that this tag line will generate some help.
    Thank you!

    Save As: 01 (on Desktop)
    Name: 01
    Size: 100 MB
    Format: Mac OS Encrypted (Journaled)
    Encryption: 256-bit AES

    Image Format: read/write disk image
    At the password window that pops up I enter: 1234567890
    This says password strength is "Weak"
    All works fine
    Then I repeated this using:
    Save As: 02 (on Desktop)

    Format: Mac OS Encypted (Journaled)

  • Error Unable to fetch authentication_scheme (XE specific?)

    Was a bit disappointed to discover in ApEx on XE I can not define multiple oracle accounts and just swap these in the Edit Application Attributes/Parsing schema recently like I can on the non XE database, but never mind, I just create a new database account, build the database objects and then import an app export from the old schema - right?
    Wrong: I get the Error Unable to fetch authentication_scheme error and the parsing schema is correct. This is on an XP machine with version 2 of ApEx.
    I used the export and it went into the Oracle hosted site without any issues.

    Hope this helps. Much thanks in advance,

  • Error Unable to fetch authentication_scheme

    I have imported a HTMLDB application into a new workspace.
    When I try to run the application I get the error:
    Error Unable to fetch authentication_scheme in application 100
    I need to be able to use this application with other workspaces (the schemas are owned by different owners but are identical).
    Please help ... Thank you, Rick
    Here is the Debug information:

    I don't know what APEX is?
    What I have is one instance or SID called "smb"
    I installed htmldb there.
    I also have created 4 identical schemas there. (one for each of my developers)
    I have created 4 htmldb workspaces (one for each schema).
    I built the application (to edit some of the tables in the schema) in one of the workspaces.
    All I want to do is get the application into the other workspaces so that the other developers can use it.
    I used the export/import button at the application level to export the application:
    File Format: UNIX
    Owner Override: the schema of the new developer
    Build Status Override: Run and Build Application
    It created a file f114.sql
    I then logged in to htmldb in the new workspace of the schema for the new developer.
    I clicked on the "Create Application Button" then selected "From an Application Export File"; browsed for the exported file and opened it. This put its path in the Import File text box. I selected File Type: Application/Page Export.
    I got:
    The export file has been imported successfully. If you wish to use this file to install press Install:
    I pressed Install and got:
    Logged Into Workspace: KODIESMB1
    Export File WorkspaceID: 633628732993759
    Export File Application: 114
    Export File Version: 2004.07.04
    Export File Parse As Schema: KODIESMB1
    Application Origin: This application was exported from another workspace.
    Parse As Schema - Select Schema - KODIESMB1
    Build Status - No Build Option - Run Application Only Run and Build Application
    Install As Application Reuse Application ID 114 From Export File
    Auto Assign New Application ID
    Change Application ID
    I pressed "Install Application" and got:
    The application could not be installed because it already exists in different workspace. If you wish to install the application, please do the following:
    Remove the existing application from the workspace it currently exists in.
    OR
    Change the application ID in your export file. An application ID that's currently available you can use is 101.
    Upload the changed export file to the repository, and re-install your application.
    It took me to the repository ... I selected the import and changed the ID to 101 and pressed install and got:
    Application 101 installed
    I pressed the Run button and got:
    Error Unable to fetch authentication_scheme in application 101.
    OK
    I pressed OK and it took me back to the Post-App Install Utility Option.
    I do not know what to do since I don't understand the Error?
    Thanks,
    Rick

  • Parent Instance creating many child instances in SOA-INFRA

    Hi,
    We have deleted a parent instance from SOA-INFRA database.Even after deletion it keeps on creating child instances. How to identify all the child instances of the parent instance in SOA-INFRA schema . Also, we searched a lot but were unable to get much details about SOA_INFRA schema.
    Please suggest and tell us the reasoning behind why many child instances getting created? Any suggestions will help us.
    Thanks in advance.

    It just provides the table names but doesnt provide information like which table is referred which table. Also, can anyone let me know how the instance id(when a request is submitted) is created in SOA-INFRA schema and how it is used other tables because we still see the child instances is getting created from the parent instance.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • Need to monitor soa-infra composite application

    In our Prod environment, we had an issue with our database and after resolving the issue, I just happened to go into the FMW console and noticed that the soa-infra composite application was in a "Failed" status even though the soa_server1 managed server was still "running."
    When I re-started the managed server, the deployed apps all came back successful.
    I'm very familiar with using the FMW console and know how to monitor composite applications using the UI.
    However, as I was not actively looking at the FMW Console, this brings up the issue...
    1. What is the best practice to setting up monitoring of the soa-infra composite application in my domain?
    2. If this can be done using WLST... does anyone have a sample of doing this?
    3. If the answer is to use snmp... does anyone have a sample?
    I am new to using WLST and looking for some assistance.
    My environment is SOA Suite 11g PS2 (11.1.1.3) at the moment.
    thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the reply but if you read closely... the EM console implies that I am actively looking at it. And I have no problems with what the EM console provides but.... I am looking for ways to send an alert or Email notification when the soa-infra application changes to "Failed" state. I've found where I can setup watches and notifications from within the WLS console when a certain MSG ID appears in the log, it can trigger an Email notification be sent and I am pursuing that approach at the moment unless you have a better idea?
    thanks in advance, Phil
