Appearing numbers without text at index

Hello,
i have an auto generated index for fm 9, some textless page numbers (i see them below also correct) keep appearing as symbols
this is the first time i meet markers with start and end range,
but i wonder if something is wrong and if i can do anything about that...

Open the Marker window and then use the hypertext (hold down ctrl+alt and click on the page numbers) in the index to jump to these no text index entires. Inspect the contents shown in the Marker window and edit (or delete) accordingly.
Every startrange index entry must have a corresponding endrange. The spelling of the terms must be identical and FM is case sensitive. I have this identical problem. For a while my group texts didnt show up on my ipad. Then one day they did, maybe everyone in the group started using the same os version or something. Ever since my first reply to the group there have been complaints of multiple threads. I can not find a pattern for when my group text's decide they want to create a new thread. (it doesnt happen every time) Everyone in the group has deleted the thread, we've all toggled imessage on/off etc. There still hasn't been a solution.
Any help would be appreciated.

Mountain Lion - Window for ID and Pw appear without text!

After install Mountain Lion, (Leopard to Mountain Lion with succes!) the window for ID and Pw (that appear for all permission, to install a new program or other) appear without text! Button to say ok or return are without text so I can't see nothing! And I can't insert my ID or my password!
What appened?????

Please read this whole message before doing anything. This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it. Step 1 The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.” While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin. Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)? After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it. *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing. Step 2 The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. Without "pretending" to be yourself on the other phone (change settings) there's nothing else you can do.
iOS devices are meant to be single user and can't view iCloud.com the same way a Mac or PC can do.
You need to find a desktop or laptop machine (Mac or PC) to log in at iCloud.

PDF file shows different numbers of text blocks in CC 2014 and CS6

Hi,
I've inherited a file at work that displays different numbers of text blocks, depending on the version of Acrobat used to view the file. Here's the specific issue:
As viewed in CC 2014:
"Chapter 1 - Chapter One Title": Appears as two text blocks -- one for "Chapter 1 - " and one for "Chapter One Title"
As viewed in CS 6:
"Chapter 1 - Chapter One Title": Appears as a single text block -- "Chapter 1 - Chapter One Title"
This occurs only with regard to single-digit chapter numbers that are whole numbers. So:
Chapter 1, Chapter 5, and Chapter 7 entries appear as two blocks in CC 2014, one block in CS6.
Chapter 2.0, Chapter 6.1, Chapter 10, entries appear in single blocks in both CC 2014 and CS6.
The PDF file was created -- I believe -- through the save-to-PDF feature in Word 2010.
Any idea what's happening here?

6 random numbers without repeat

I'm trying to make a 6 digit random number generator between 1 and 48. When the user click a button 6 random numbers show up in 6 different textFeilds. The problem is that I don't want the same number twice. How can I generate 6 different random numbers without using return and breaking out of the function?

Attachments appearing as inline text

Certain attachments that I receive in Mail appear as inline text. This makes it impossible to save the attachment and open it in another program.
The most aggravating is .cpp files. These contents of these attached files all appear as inline text, one after another. If I want to work with these files, I have to figure out where the division between files is, copy and paste everything before that division into a new file, and fix the formatting line-by-line. How frustrating.
Please help me stop this behavior, or at least tell me a way to ALSO save the files, or something. Otherwise I'll have to change email clients, and I've gotten so used to Mail.

What computer and email client is the sender using to send these to you? I am guessing they are being sent in a message with Rich Text Format, or HTML and becoming "involved"? Some servers might even cause this, especially if SPAM filtering is in force.
Is the last header about attachments? Is there a black triangle beside this final header, and are there Save and Slideshow buttons?

Yes. Go to your iCloud settings on each device and configure what you do and do not want showing up on each device.
Go to Settings>iCloud as well as Settings>iTunes & App Stores

Try the following:
In Finder, select the problematic volume and then press command-I.
Expand the Sharing & permissions section if it's collapsed.
If the section is locked, then unlock it by pressing the padlock button and then authenticating as directed.
Tick/check Ignore ownership on this volume.

make the changes from numbers to text i.e. "$123,456" to "See Schedule O".

Windows Mail App: Links appearing as plain text.

Some of my emails are not properly displaying web links through my Yahoo account. For example: I am personally subscribed to a website known as Slickdeals (http://slickdeals.net), and none of their Deal Notifications have active links within
the Mail app. Instead, website addresses appear as plain text, even though the same links work just fine when logging into my Yahoo Mail account through IE or Google Chrome.
How can I fix this issue? I actually love the Mail app, but this is simply a deal-breaker for me if it can not be amended.

That could just be a difference between E-mail client treatment of text strings which look like URLs but are in HTML and therefore are not links. Different E-mail clients also provide different functionality in support of such strings when Plain-text
messages are involved.
Notice that now IE10 has a helpful right-click Go to copied address command to help reduce the inconvenience of such a situation.

Outlook mail appearing as garbled text

Recently we have shifted from gmail to outlook and what earlier worked with gmail now is appearing as garbled text in outlook.
A mail notification is triggered from TACTIC ( a web framework ). It worked well earlier. Seems to be related with text encoding but not sure where or how to do that. How should I go about it( have normal text appearing).
Using Exchange server as backend. Microsoft outlook web app in front.

Is the mail appearing fine in other clients like ActiveSync/Outlook Web Access?
What is the version of Exchange server you are running?
Can you paste a screenshot of what you notice on gmail and what you notice on Outlook by removing all the personally identifiable information please?

9.0.2 loaded and now store is loading without text

Hi, just upgraded i-tunes to 9.0.2 -- when i access the store, I get a black background with album artwork but no text.... cant see what albums are called or what tracks are available... though i do get the 'bullets' for the tracks, which will play if i click on them. --- though no options to buy or listen.... appears all the text has either disappeared or is in black matching the background ---- have tried reloading i-tunes 8 but wont let me open coz certain 'files were created in later version' even though i deleted itunes9 from system.

Well thanks to some of the great posts on here, I have now managed to 'downgrade' back to i-tunes 8 and get it working, by swopping and renaming the library files (thanks to user Turingtest2). That will teach me to remember 'if it's working, dont touch it!!!'

[JS,CS3,CS4] Converting Paragraph numbering to text

I'm trying to add line numbers by applying paragraph numbering to selected text (which I call "myText"), then converting numbers to text (then later I'll use GREP to remove the period and shift them to the right).
I'm new to scripting, and wonder why the following doesn't work:
myText.bulletsAndNumberingListType=1280601709;
myText.convertBulletsAndNumberingToText();
The first line seems to add the numbering as I'd like, but the second line just makes them disappear again!

Excel has a 'text to numbers' function, I would use that.
