Append New Item with BAPI_RESERVATION_CHANGE

Good Day Gurus,
I was able to modify Material Reservation Items with BAPI_Reservation_Change, but appending a new item causes a bapi message of "Not possible to add and update at the same process"
what's causing this error? or is there any other work around to achieve my goal?

Check this standard function module IDOC_INPUT_MATERIALRESERVATION A. Inside this this BAPI has been called. So, go through it and see anything you have missed.
Also, check the function module documentation available.

We have deployed ESS 1.0 BP. In leave request application we select the leave request type(PL, CL, SL) from drop down menu.
Here privelige Leave is by default selected... but we need to remove PL from default and add hipen(-) so that user has to compulsory select the leave type from drop Down,
Now the problem is as this list comes from R3 .. so how can we add new item to this drop down menu. Whether its needed to be done R3 side or do i need to modify Leave request Application. If i need to modify this leave request application than h0w can append hipen to the already list coming in drop down menu...
Can any person specify in detail from where this configuration is needed to be done..?

For example the leave types are coming in the below model node from R/3.
LeavesModelNode - Model Node
LeaveType - Model Context Attribute
And the data in this model node is
- Privlige Leave
- Casual Leave
- Sick Leave
Now create one Value node with the same structure as below in the Component Controller.
LeavesValueNode - Value Node
LeaveType - Context Attribute
Populate your extra value here

Now Populate the values from model node to value node as below

In the form you have an item. Go to that property in Form element attribute you can call that function.

me using this syntax.
I want to add values which are already from other file and just append into this status_file(status_file table doesnt have these fields) what should be done..
thst why i wrote external tables and i got this hint.
The EXTERNAL_TABLE=EXECUTE qualifier tells SQL*Loader to create an external table that can be used to load data and then execute the INSERT statement to load the data.
is it the way to append the already existing data with the new in table status_file.

CT 2 and create two views on the list
View 1 to display items of CT 1
View 2 to display items of CT 2
the creation of list and views is done via XML

Hi,
The “Add new item” button will redirect users to add new item with the default Content Type of the current list.
So a workaround can be like this: We can change the default Content Type of this list every time when users open this list view page, then the “Add new item” button will work
as you expected.

This error comes up due to number range problem in the
tables.
As you have said this is a third party Sales order, just check if this is relevant to the PR being generated or the Sales order getting created.
Check the Current number of the PR document type in the EBAN table & check if it is the same for the Number ranges in customizingin OMH7.
If they are not the same... & the current number in OMH7 is smaller than the Number in the table EBAN , you need to change the current number equal to the EBAN table.
If this is the case fior sales orders similarly check for Sales order table & sales order number range object.

Incorrect Focus when Changing Item with Mouse

Dear Colleague,
Quite often, when the user navigates to a new item with the mouse and not with the keyboard (e.g. Tab key) or explicitly via the toolbar item (next item), then the cursor ends up in the item of interest, but when the user proceeds to, for example, activate the associated LOV, then the cursor focus switches back to the original, i.e. previous item.
Is this a known bug? I would appreciate any tips here.
My forms are running within Oracle AS 10g.

Cause: The problem is caused by a forms bug:
The bug is fixed in OracleAS 10g / Oracle Developer Suite 10g Rel 2 (not due for release until March / April 2005)
There is no backport one off fixes available for Forms 6i, 9i or 10g (Rel 1). For these releases, the user must work-around by manually clicking in the window / field in order for cursor focus to be returned, and keyboard input to be accepted again.

Unit Price in Issue for Production for Item with wrong UoM

Dear All,
In issue for production the item cost being picked does not match either our Last Purchase Price or Price List1. In some cases the price considered is an average:
Eg:- For Item A with Purchase UoM in Nos. and Inventroy UoM in Gms, we had not enetred the conversion factor i.e 1 No=100g. Thus GRN was made for 25 Nos. @ Rs.450/Unit. But actual stock was 2500g. Hence to rectify the stock we made an OB entry for 2475 as on GRN date with zero Price. Thus total stock was 2500 and Value 25*450=RS.11250
When we did an Issue for Production for this item: Qty:400g, the unit price considered was Rs.28.125 when the actual price to be considered is Rs.450[Unit Cost]/100 [UoM Conversion]=Rs4.5. We had entered Rs.4.5 in Price List1 and had selected this price list in the BoM as we had not entered a conversion factor in the Item Master Data and SAP does not allow alterations to this tab once the Item is involved in transactions.
I think the system calculated the price as follows: (25450+14750)/400=Rs.28.175
How do we avoid/correct this in the future?

If you need the stock price correct, the only option might be creating a new item with correct information in the first place. Once you have error data to start with, there is no way to corrected as you wish.

Showing all News items in webpart

I am trying to create a webpart which shows all the news items with the News title and date followed by a paging.
Currently, I have the below in publishing site:
1) Subsite for storing news
2) Page layout which has a category as "News", On Adding page layout, I am providing a Title, description followed by CEWP.
The users create the News pages by selecting the above way.
I would like to show all the News so far created in a webpart with paging added to it.
How to show all the News items in a webpart with pager functionality?

If you want to custom list view web part, and show the paging like 1 2 3…Last, I would suggest you to customize the XSLT of the view web part, the following sample contains steps to do this:

Remove-Item followed by New-Item puts back same file

My script saves an empty file on a share to denote an event occurred on a server. If the event occurs again, the file is replaced with a new one with the current creation time. The problem is after a Remove-Item, then New-Item
with the same file name the new file is really the old file with the LastWriteTime updated. The below code snippet will demonstrate the issue.

Content Types "New Item"

I am working on a list in Sharepoint 2013 and I have created several content types with this lists. I want customers to be able to create a new object and get a different FORM based on the type of object they create.
The challenge I found is that when they click on "NEW ITEM" they get the default content type and are not allow to select which one they want. However, if they go to edit the item after creating it then they can change the content type from a drop
down menu in the ribbon.
I have noticed that this feature is active in a Document library however not in list webparts.
I was wondering if there is any way to activate the Content Type drop down on a list as they click "NEW ITEM"?

You are correct, while click to "New Item", SP will open a page to add new item with default content type.
Workaround of this problem, not to use the "New Item" link, use the Ribbon menu to create an item. See screenshot below

SharePoint Designer 2013 (2010 Platform Workflow) - How can I create a new list item with a SPECIFIC content type?

In SharePoint 2010 I created workflows that used the 'Create list Item' Action, which then set the Content Type ID (so I could create documents of various types in a document library).
We just switched to the SharePoint 2013 platform, and now the drop down for Content Type ID is blank in all of the workflows that are still using the SharePoint 2010 platform. Is there any way to create a list item with specific content
type? Even if I could just input a string into that field instead of using this blank drop-down. Please help!

According to your description, my understanding is that you cannot create a new list item with a specific content type using SharePoint 2010 Platform Workflow.
I tested the same scenario in my environment, and the Create List Item worked fine with the specific content type.
How did you create the content type?
Please check if the content type is added to the list/library the workflow associated with.

Update Document line with a new Item Code...

Hi.
This is all done using the DI Server.
I am updating a sales order with two lines - it looks like this:
ItemCode____Qty
651_________10
00028________5
I update line 2 so the sales order now looks like this to this:
651_________10
651__________8
All I pass in is the two values 651 and 10 (and a taxcode etc)
Now... if I take a look at the sales orders GL - before and after the update - It looks like this
(before)
ItemCode_____Qty______GL Account
651___________10_____ _SYS00000000235
00028__________5_____ _SYS00000000237
(after)
651___________10_____ _SYS00000000235
651____________8_____ _SYS00000000237
So it does not change the GL Account to fit the new Item... It looks like I need to find the GL Revenue Account for the new item myself. How do I find this?

Hi Allan,
your Stored Procedure is good for GLMethod = 'L' but if GLMethod of Item is 'W' or is 'C' your code is not good.
Case is "W"
SELECT RevenuesAc FROM OWHS Where WhsCode = @WhsCode
Case is "C"
SELECT OITB.RevenuesAc FROM OITM INNER JOIN OITB ON OITM.ItmsGrpCod = dbo.OITB.ItmsGrpCod Where OITM.ItemCode = @ItemCode

BCS New Item creation - Column with Name 'ID' does not exist.

Hello All
I´m creating a BCS and i´m getting a strange error. I have created all the operations and created a list based on the external contente type. In my table the column ID is the primary key with identity.
When I use the new item form I get the following error. But the new item is created.
