"Apple Mach-O Librarian (libtool) Error" When Build With Xcode 4.4"Apple Mach-O Librarian (libtool) Error" When Build With Xcode 4.4
I was developing and application using Xcode 4.1 build for iOS 4.3, but I want to update my Xcode version, so I downloaded using AppStore, so I can have Xcode 4.4. I thought the update would replace my last version. Now, when I build my application, the build failed, and I have this error:
Apple Mach-O Librarian (libtool) Error
Command /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/ usr/bin/libtool failed with exit code 1
So, I thought that maybe I have this problem because the Xcode 4.1, so I unistall (If still was installed) using this command:
sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-developer-folder
But I still have that error, Anyone know how to solve it? Thanks in advance

Web video plays on iPhone but gets error message when sent to Apple TV via AirPlay
I belong to a fee-based subscription video site. Videos play perfectly on my iMac, iPhone 4S, and iPad 1. However, when I try to play them on my Apple TV by sending them via AirPlay from my iPhone or iPad, I get the "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later." message. Videos from all other sites (YouTube, Facebook, other subscription sites) all work fine. I've tried restating, resetting, unplugging the Apple TV, cable router, and Airport Extreme. This problem affects both my Apple TV 2 and Apple TV 3. Any ideas why I'm having this trouble with video from this one site? Is there some kind of video format that works on an iPhone but not an Apple TV? Is the site perhaps purposely preventing AirPlay streaming?
Hairpants: I have the exact same problem with my iPhone, but only on certain Apple TV's. YouTube (via Safari) and TED (app) both play at home fine, but I get the "error occurred loading this content" on the ATV at work. Very frustrating.
Winston: I wouldn't think an app wouldn't "block" AirPlay, but rather wouldn't build support into the app. But I am not an app developer, so I'm just guessing. Example: the new YouTube app only support audio over AirPlay, not video. You don't get an error on your ATV, it just doesn't push the video data. -
I get the following error message when trying to download ITunes on my computer running Windows XP - Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple Application Support\CFNetwork.dll
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

I have a Single-App subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud.
According to this FAQ (link: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#single-app) I should be able to publish unlimited single .folios with DPS with my Single-App subscription to the Creative Cloud. Here is the exact paragraph I'm refering to from that FAQ:
As a Creative Cloud member, do I have access to Digital Publishing Suite?
Digital Publishing Suite Single Edition is not available to free Creative Cloud members. Creative Cloud single-app and complete members have an unlimited Digital Publishing Suite Single Edition license. Creative Cloud for teams members also have an unlimited Digital Publishing Suite Single Edition license.
When I build the app in the DPS App Builder and reach the end of the process, I'm getting the error where it asks me to provide a Single Edition subscription serial to download the developer bundles for my app.
I have tried all the methods described on this forum to solve this problem, including deleting and reinstalling the DPS App Builder, deleting the old apps and creating new ones after redownloading the DPS App Builder, deleting the DPS App Builder, signing out of my Folio Builder in InDesign, redownloading the DPS App Builder, signing into my Folio Builder in InDesign again, etc., to no avail.
Can anyone help? This is a time-sensitive issue and I'm trying to get this app into the Apple submission process immediately. I can answer any questions if you all have troubleshooting advice for me.
Thanks,
DavidThank you for the information and the response. We will be upgrading to the full version of Creative Cloud to publish our single .folio.
I do want to remark on the issues created by Adobe's inconsistent explanation of how DPS can be used with the Creative Cloud. After reading that FAQ, I also spoke with an "Adobe Agent" through the chat system that pops up on various product pages and asked the agent as specifically as I could if the Single-app version of Creative Cloud would allow me to publish single .folios through DPS. In no uncertain terms the agent said the Single-app version would be fine, and referred me to the order page to begin the order process.
I spoke with another agent over chat in the morning on Saturday and they also said I should be able to publish single .folios with the Singe-app subscription to Creative Cloud. When I presented my App Activation problem to the agent, the agent said I should just wait 24-48 hours for my subscription to Creative Cloud to process so I could create my app.
This has been a very vexing process that has cost my team valuable app review time. If I had not encountered the FAQ and two agents who specifically told me that I could use the Single-app version of Creative Cloud to publish my .folio, I would have been happy to go straight to purchasing the full version of Creative Cloud.
Thanks again for the assistance. -
My iphone 4 randmonly started going into recoveery mode when i was trying to download ios 7.1, and now the apple logo will come one and then fade to black and continue this process. My iphone wont restore either and will get the 3194 error message.Help please!
Hello chindeepchow,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information, take a look at:

Related errors: 17, 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194, 3000, 3002, 3004, 3013, 3014, 3015, 3194, or 3200. These alerts refer to gs.apple.com, say "There was a problem downloading the software," or say the "device isn't eligible for the requested build."
Check the hosts file or TCP/IP filtering, which might cause communication issues between iTunes, ports, and servers.

I am running Windows7 on my PVC. When I log in I'm getting two Apple error messages. One says, " The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll." The second says, "Apple Photostreams Uploader has stopped working". Help!
Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of. If that doesn't help read on...

Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

Error when installing an ad hoc distribution build - what is this error?
I've followed all the manual instructions to the letter I believe. But when installing the app and provisioning profile on an iPhone (one of the iPhones in the profile) the following error occurs:
the application someAppName was not installed on the phone because an unknown error occurred OxE8000001
Does anybody know what that means and how to fix it? I'm stumped!
I wanted to test with an ad hoc distribution before trying to place the app in the app store.
Thanks!
dougSame here. I'm still trying to get the big picture as to what these deployment steps are for.
I got my ad hocs to work, and now I'm trying to backtrack what I did:
- Program Portal stuff:
1. Added my device ID
2. Created my app ID
3. Created my adhoc distribution profile with matching app id and device id
- Downloaded the adhoc mobileprovision files and placed it in ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles
- I have my certificates in my login keychain:
1. Apple Worldwide Developer Relations
2. (Developer) iPhone Developer: My Name
3. (Ad hoc distribution) iPhone Distribution: My Name
- I have a fresh XCode UIView based project:
1. Created a duplicate of Release config for distribution
2. Added entitlements.plist with get-task-allow set to false
3. Set the Code Signing Entitlements build setting to entitlements.plist
4. Set Code Signing Identity: Any iPhone OS Device = iPhone Distribution: My Name
5. Set Code Signing Provisioning Profile: Any iPhone OS Device = My Ad Hoc Provisioning Profile Name
6. Build the project (distribution config with device active sdk)
7. Give the MyApp.app file and my downloaded adhoc .mobileprovision file to the other person
- Install
1. The other person drags the .mobileprovision to her iTunes
2. The other person drags the MyApp.app file to her iTunes
3. Syncing the iPhone successfully installs MyApp -
Hello, I was trying to upgrade my iTunes for windows 7 PC, but because of invalid signature error I removed iTunes as well as all apple related applications. While reinstalling it , When I click link to install iTunes it immediately says '' thank you for downloading iTunes'' but I don't find it in my system.
I have tried all suggested option to solve it but all in vain. Please help me to get rid of this problemFor general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

Elisa for i586: try to build gdk-pixbuf, error with libtool
Hi there!
I set up Archlinux on my Barebone, great job with the "new" i586 repo!
i try to build to build the packages on my laptop by simply editing my makepkg.conf to:
CARCH="i586"
CHOST="i586-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLAGS="-march=i586 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe"
CXXFLAGS="-march=i586 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe"
this works for me for freevo, mplayer and many other programs. but now i tried to install elisa on this machine, everything build correct, but when i start elisa, i only get:

gtk, gdk an anything else is build correct, so i thought, maybe there is something wrong with gdk-pixbuf. i don't post this thread in the i586 subforum, because i have the same problems building it for i686 arch, too! i fetch the newest pkgbuild from abs, heres the output:

Why is mach failing on mozconfig processing when I try to build fennec?
I doubt I'm asking this in the right place, so a redirect to the correct forum would be as much appreciated as an answer.
I'm trying to build Fennec using OSX. I've followed (and rechecked) the instructions on MDN three times, and yet mach immediately fails with this error:
Error running mach:
['build']
The error occurred in mach itself. This is likely a bug in mach itself or a
fundamental problem with a loaded module.
Please consider filing a bug against mach by going to the URL:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Core&component=mach
If filing a bug, please include the full output of mach, including this error
message.
The details of the failure are as follows:
MozconfigLoadException: Evaluation of your mozconfig exited with an error. This could be triggered
by a command inside your mozconfig failing. Please change your mozconfig
to not error and/or to catch errors in executed commands.
File "/Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/troy/mozilla-central/python/mach/mach/main.py", line 265, in run
return self._run(argv)
File "/Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/troy/mozilla-central/python/mach/mach/main.py", line 351, in _run
instance = cls(context)
File "/Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/troy/mozilla-central/python/mozbuild/mozbuild/base.py", line 528, in __init__
dummy = MozbuildObject.from_environment(cwd=context.cwd)
File "/Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/troy/mozilla-central/python/mozbuild/mozbuild/base.py", line 165, in from_environment
config = loader.read_mozconfig(mozconfig)
File "/Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/troy/mozilla-central/python/mozbuild/mozbuild/mozconfig.py", line 196, in read_mozconfig
raise MozconfigLoadException(path, MOZCONFIG_BAD_EXIT_CODE, lines)
My .mozconfig is this:
ac_add_options --with-android-ndk="$HOME/intava/AndroidSDK/android-ndk-r8e"
ac_add_options --with-android-sdk="$HOME/intava/AndroidSDK/sdk/platforms/android-16"
ac_add_options --enable-application=mobile/android
ac_add_options --target=arm-linux-androideabi
ac_add_options --with-ccache
I must be making a newbie mistake, but for the life of me, I can't find it. I'm running Mavericks and got the latest XCode (5.0.1) from the app store. All my Android SDK components are versions specified in the MDN instruction page.
Thanks for any help out there.You could also post to https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/mobile-firefox-dev if being on line when the Americas and Europe are awake is inconvenient.
In addition https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Fennec/Android#Mac_OS_X tends to be more up to date than DevMo. -
I have just required a second hand mac and when I try to download a song or import a cd to iTunes an error notice says that I am not priveledged to make changes? The preference settings and apple I'd seem to be ok. How do I fix this?
Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
Good Luck - Cheers,
M. -
When i enter my apple ID password to enable my imessage acount it always comes up as an error has occurred
Hi,
AS well as Eric's two links you may have Upgraded to Mountain Lion and now past OS X 10.8.2
At this point the iMessages login requires that it can access the Mac's Serial number that should be stored on the Logic/Mother board.
In some cases of Repair or Refurbishment it is missing.
Use the Apple icon Menu to left > About this Mac.
Click twice on the line that tells you the current OS level.
It will change to the Build Number (Another counting method for the OS version) and then to the Serial Number.
If it is missing you will need to visit an Apple Store or an Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP)
